After a brilliant day of caching and labbing in Geelong, Baristayan and I drove past here and noticed the lofty amount of fav points. I do love a gastropod-inspired cache We made the quick find in the dark and marvelled at another brilliantly constructed cache. Wowee. Not only a ripper cache, but also terrific COs who were on the trail immediately to reset the scene. Thank, and I left a little calling card at the base of its pole. Great cache to check out when you can. Lots of care out into this one.

Nach einem Schwumm mit einigen Robben und mit einem Meatpie im Magen, war es ein leichtes Spiel diesen tollen Cache zu finden. Besten Dank!

A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache The_Tritonz.**SKI Pair****

As someone who loves writing snail mail, this cache made me smile. This cache was gorgeous and I loved finding this one. Definitely earned a favourite point from me! Social media does provide a great way to connect with friends and family but there is something absolutely lovely to receive a handwritten letter. Ive been writing for many years now to both family and friends across the world and love seeing their writing and hearing their stories. I enjoy making handmade envelopes and including little surprises in letters fun too. Maybe think of sending a little note in the post to someone you love. Its sure to make them smile knowing youre thinking of them. Thanks for the cache! Peace, Tara Found 3.30 pm Monday 9 October 2023. Signed log as: TW Took nothing, left nothing. Geocaches found: 30

14-Sep-23
A tired Pika arrived to this mailbox and once all the passerby people went on with their day, I looked all around the box until I found the pesky little hide. It was so small and cute, little friend. The log roll was very small so I didnt want to unroll it, but I placed it back where I found it, and off to the next one.

Slow and steady wins the race

What an amazing cache! A bit weird to find a fresh new log, but happily claimed the misleading FTF slot. Signed as RJM.

This was another necessarily quick pickup, but I’m beginning to run out of the quick options locally! Don’t think I’ll be in the running for any for Gold streak prizes after this month.

Went to the Event: Geelong Picnic In The Park: Lead Up Event. What a wonderful day! Went and did a multi with a group from the event, then off we went on our own. The weather held up nicely and after attempting another multi we decided to grab some quick finds.

This cache: very cute and clever! Made us chuckle. Of course a muggle pulled up as soon as we approached so we had to wait them out! Luckily it wasn't too long! FP from us!

Road trip to Geelong to watch a friend compete in an event. With no hurry to get home afterwards, I had thought ahead and bought the essential geocaching equipment.
Had to have a poke around with my torch as it was a bit dark. This cache is on point for the theme and very well executed. TFTC The_Tritonz

When the owner invites people on a night cache maintenance run, it's time to take notice. When that cache owner is the Red Ant, you drop everything, rearrange the calendar and move heaven and earth to join in.

Now, I've plenty of time on my hands, so it was not that hard to arrange, but my travelling companion had to engage in some jiggery pokery work-wise to attend. Of course, as it's for shenanigans with the Red Ant, on a cache we faltered at following the man's 80th birthday at the pub down the road, we were determined to be there.

Speaking of pubs, I tied my steed up at one on the fringe of our city so we could pool our resources to get to the Bushfire's city. With a little bit of leeway time, we took a squiz at a puzzle cache on our way, then left it for another day.

Which put us on this road. And n0w0rries said, "You seen this one?"

"Nup."

"Well then..."

Totally worth the stop, The_Tritonz. A clever, well made and placed hide.

buhfuhguh and SteMicMitSar very kindly offered to take me around Geelong today with a Community Celebration Event in Ceres being the outing's main attraction.
Despite the event starting at 6pm, I had to wake up at 6am in order for us to fit in all of the adventures that this region had to provide!
An excellent time was had at each and every stop, and meeting other cachers throughout the day as people slowly trickled into the area was a really fun experience too.

We parked right up next to gz and the cache only took seconds to spot.
A nice and on-theme hide, no wonder it has all those favourite points!

Thanks to The_Tritonz for placing this one here!

Out and about in Geelong today collecting some caches before the celebration event being held later tonight. With Stemicmitsar and Brainiac03 we powered through collecting solved puzzles and other caches of interest through the day. Had another great day out chipping away at the Geelong area and can't wait to be brought back down this way shortly. Thanks for the cache and the great day out.

Ha! Loved it. Can't say too much without a giveaway, but it had us tricked for a moment before, ha!
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this location and geocache here today for without anyone to hide a geocache there would be nothing for a geocacher to find.

We were both still unwell, but Mr Dromaniax had a call from a client that needed attending to, so he headed into town and, whilst there decided to try and find a couple of caches. He was very close to this one and, although it is on a busy road, was able to retrieve the cache and add our name to the very crowded log. We had seen a photo of a similar hide a few days ago, so he didn't overlook the cache. Very clever hide. Thank you for this cache The_Tritonz

After a weekend in torquay with the family, I met up with OZHockeyChick who was also in Geelong for a spot of afternoon caching.

It was getting late so we decided to head back to the cars. On the way OHC recognized the street as being one that a local CO lives in. As we drove past the CO was unpacking his car so we stopped in to say hello and an hour later we were on our way again. Much later than planned it was straight back to the car... via one more lab series... and via one more trad. Given we had just the CO of this cache it was appropriate that we made the find. A clever hide!

Thanks The_Tritonz for the cache.

08-Mar-21
Creative cache!! I love what you did there. It's not going to be long until the log book will need replacing.

Thanks for the hide Smile

Very cute. Needed some extra tools to sign this one, not in my bag so unsigned. Dipped some TBs from overseas. Thought they would like the Australian post story. Their journey was slowed down by COVID...
