No luck finding this one.

22-Dec-18
No luck despite a 15 min search. GPS quite jumpy so looked in quite a few places.

25-Jan-18
Had a decent hunt here today before stopping for a fish and some lunch. Found the metal pipe but no cache nearby.

25-Jan-18
We found the metal rod but no cache under a stone. We were in the right place or not. Was found earlier this month. Damn it.

I came here fishing with the kids while we are camping here. We got the lines in the water and I went off to search. While I was up the hill, I was summonsed, quick mum, I've got a fish. But Sadly by the time I got down, it had got off the line. I came back and searched at reachable level, and no luck there either.

27-Aug-17
Nearly spotted by Muggles twice, on a gloomy winter's morning. Go figure. Thanks for the cache!

Alas it appears that the hint is no longer valid. We search above and below the road level, including into the bay beyond. An earlier log said coords were accurate, which puts it above the road level, but... nothing. Maybe next time.

We realised only when logging tonight we had not been caching in the area since 2013, so it was not surprisng we could see a number of caches unfound when looking for a Plan B for today. We arrived at the area at a similar time to a family group - but they were heading to the wharf to fish. So we had a snack and wander - and found a cache. We first thought the cache name was indicating a certain area but the GPS said that idea was wrong and sent us in the correct direction.
Thanks.

Was looking for something that related to the title and the hint - but could not find anything that resembled retired. There was a dirty nappy amongst other rubbish near GZ - we can not start to understand the thinking of some people. GK eventually came up trumps on this one - Thanks paddle chick for the cache

With eldest daughter Laura down South with us for a few days we tried to think of some cool stuff to do as a family to leave a memory of (pre) Christmas 2016. We walked the Snout Track in Picton yesterday and grabbed a couple of caches out that way. Today is a trip out to the wonderful Okiwi Bay. Along for the ride were a couple of kayaks on the (new) car roof-rack and, of course, Tally the dog. Temperatures were around 30 degrees and lots of fun was had by all.
The kayaks had been packed back onto the car and hope for a last couple of caches before we head for home. Came back to this one after a DNF last time in the area, no sign of the cache title item either. Had spoken to the C O about a throw down replacement but, just as I was ready to add the replacement I grabbed a small rock for camo and there was the cache underneath! Berocca tube with lingering smell. nice
Signed and replaced as found, there's a metal tube thing nearby too

No joy today for us. Initially went much too high up and when back at Park and grab level there was nothing that would math the hint. Plenty of large sacks of oyster ropes? Had a potential replacement but mint tins only last so long in these environments.
Needs a C O look I think

Sidewaze and I had a good search for what we guessed we were looking for and then when we couldn't find that searched another couple of things of interest but couldn't come up with the goods. Needed to move on as some guys were busy unloading a boat.

Out for a day trip to the sounds to try to find all the caches that have accumulated since my last trip out here. I had a great day out here with wild wind and awesome views. A quick park and grab here as there was no one at the wharf to get in the way. TFTC, Biggles.

Came down this road for the first time while the family were visiting a bach in the Bay. Made the quick find and sign and back to the bach for lunch before tackling Croiselles.

The fascinating feature near gz was the interesting dingy ramp. Very cool. Lots of cars parked in front of the cache but all empty. GPS eventually settled close enough for me to spot the hint object. Had to dig around a bit before grabbing the cache but it was there safe and sound.
Thanks paddle chick for the cache.

A good little cache, but not one you want to hang around too long for on a warm day - it's a bit whiffy in this area! Smile
