I'm out and about exploring and picking up a few caches and decided to wander along this trail to see what I could see. And what I could see, apart from this cache, was an echidna! Thanks for find #6483TNLN
Decided to continue pedaling this way rather than try and find the rail trail again. It was a lovely ride along the trail and I did not see anyone at all. My cache blindness was still in full flow along here. [B)] Found them all after way too long hunts.
This trad good a lot more searching than the split screen one. Coords were drifting but they did seem to like one spot a bit more than everywhere else so I concentrated there. Did some soggy bush bashing and nearly broke my ankle but was rewarded with a cache. Very cute. Dropped off a TB. FP.
Decided to head down towards Wonthaggi to the beach caches that I did a few years ago. After yesterdays rain, a coolish day today with a touch of sunshine and the wind was not too strong. This was the first of 12 caches - 2 DNF. -high difficulty as I was trying to fill my grid. Lizzie was found. - path a little wet but a good adventure. Bushes have grown since it has been placed. Thanks Gonefishen07.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Gonefishen07 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

My dad found it. It was flipped over so when he got it he got a scare from the lizard
Appropriate enviro cache in good condition. Found with Tiz13 and Kashbound. Tftc gonefishen07
With the harder dune caches behind us Kashbound, kbucky and myself headed of for a few more nearby caches. We re grouped re energized and re focused. Cache located and signed. left teaspoon travelbug.
Found with icw. The cache was out in the open and the wonderfully decorated lid was just sitting on top. After performing the formalities we secured the lid and placed the cache where it wasn't so obvious. Tftc.
A quick find here after spotting a couple of curious echidnas up the track a bit.
Nice camo - great job!
Signed and replaced.

Found while out with Geohubby. Loved this walking track. A cute, quick find. TFTC
A super cool camo which the kids loved, plus a decent sized cache for swapping the all important swag (in the eyes of the 10, 8 and 6 y/o). TFTC
When the weather isnt beach weather (Hot & sunny) we go geocaching.

TFTC! Sceptical about walking over the long grass but ducking in and out we found the cache. Nice quiet walk along the track!
#4350 - This afternoon we decided to tackle this trail completing a loop trip coming back via Williamsons Beach. We had the geohounds and some muggle friends who clearly don't understand caching!
We nabbed Wandering Lizzie in the bushes near the trail. Very nice cache! After signing the log, we released Lizzie back into the wild. TFTC Gonefishen07, a fave from us.

TFTC Love the camo! We thought it was real! We took the trackable and it’s going on an adventure now. TFTC
Headed down to Wonthaggi with GurTheWanderer for some adventures.
Getting tired and it will be interesting to see how many km’s we’ve covered today since we got to this area in the wee hours of this morning.
We hadn’t had anything to eat yet so our tummy’s were rumbling hard here.
For an easy D rating here, Lizzie certainly had us wandering just for a little bit. Cheeky Lizzie.
Cache and logbook in good condition.
Thank you for the cache here Gonefishen07

Continuing our walk today and so far have yet to come across another soul. First glance at Wandering Lizzie made us stop to make sure that what we were looking at, was indeed just good camouflage, then we jumped in to finish the job.
Nice area Gonefishen07. Thanks for bringing us here.

After 2 earlier finds along the rail trail, and the heat of the day starting to build, I thought it time to head closer to the beach
Having been muggled out of the cache closer to the carpark, this was my 1st find along the trail
Love a novel cache container and this one set the theme for the remainder of today's finds
Found in good condition, many thanx to Gonefishen 07 and Lizzie

I still had enough time to look for this cache before needing to head home.
For a D1, I did a lot of ducking, searching and walking head first thru 2 cobwebs.

Due to the awful weather today l had this area to myself nice and peaceful just the way l like it. I liked the lid... TFTC
I think my caching mojo is slowly returning after a couple of DNF’s locally. Either that or it’s time to pay OPSM another visit. Very quiet here today. No one about at all. Also fish the surf beach. DNC anything today. The wind picked up and the surf started to pound in - weed and all. TNLNSL TFTC.

Heading to Philip Island for a conference from Canberra. I left last night and slept in the back of the car for a few hours before continuing bright and early to maximise the time I had available to find a few high D/T caches along this stretch of beach. A quick find here. TFTC.

Out with the grandkids for a walk along the wind farms. No one around today at all or ever I would guess. As long as there are not snakes either. Thanks for bringing us to an area that we have not been before. Nice easy find for the kids. Thanks for the cache.

I parked the car and had something to eat and drink before I took off along the trail. I only got 2 caches in before the rain started. A quick find on a nice walking trail. Stamped and returned as found.

Easy find after a gentle walk very late afternoon. Loved the cache, in fact worth a favourite point. Day 110 of stretch and counting! TFTC
Went on one of the tracks and I couldn't find it, almost gave up went the other one - which was guarded by a tiny orb weaver and nearly tripped over it. The cache was upside down, I placed it back upright on the ground. I'm not sure if it was meant to be higher. TFTC
One of the last for me today. The tail came in useful when retrieving the container. Thanks for the effort in creating the container.
Thought we'd come down and find some cache in Wonthaggi... a road trip during school holidays.. The weather was beautiful in the morning and did get overcast and it rained just as we got back from Baxter/Williamson's caches.. Perfect timing... Found a few more around Wonthaggi and a few DNF before we headed back home.
Thought this one may have been to do with something with the name.
After walking out from this one about 500m away we could see all these bugs.. but as we got closer we saw they were infact bees.. Hundreds of them... So we bush bashed across the field and steered clear of them.
Funny thing about 1/2 hour later when we came back they were no longer there.. Odd...

A nice one for the kids! Picked up our third TB on this trail and sending it off to cairns if that's where it wants to be.
After completing the nearby rail trail on bikes, quiet1_au, GJMMelb and I decided to find a few more caches. By now we had picked up coley_babee and Princess Diala along the way. Dropped a TB. TFTC
Deciding to head a little down the trail, we were next up to this one.
A group of us made quick work on this one, and had it licked pretty quickly!!

Wandering along Williamsons, in the good company of Alansee and maccamob, it was interesting to be up close and personal with the turbines as we enjoyed the variety of themed hides along the way.
Our thanks to Gonefishen07 for bringing us to this location.

A quick find by me this time not far off the track of a container/"camo" combo we would see once or twice more today if I recall correctly. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1525. After the Event, we teamed up with Alansee and phetlern to do this cluster of Williamsons caches. We met at the end of Webb Road, left our GeoPrado there with M to stand guard, and D went with the others to the Lower Powlett Road car park at the other end of the trail and walked back from there. This was our first stop. After a quick find, we were joined by Sedgwick Dave, who accompanied us to the next cache. Loved the cache guardian. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
Walking down the track our group of Lochb, Quiet1_au, Coleebabee, PricessDiala and GMelb come across this cache while on our way to the sand dunes. A quick found by Q. Thanks Gonefishen07

Down in the area attending an event as well as finding other caches in this great region for caching. Well after the relief and joy of finding one particular evil cache in the dunes. Icefoxy was keen for some numbers so raced ahead to do more caches on this great grassed trail while I hanged back to look at another cache. So eventually I got to this track and continue on heading east to pick up the letter box cache ahead of this one. Well as I approach this one I bumped into Maccamob, Alansee & Phetlern and had a great chat with these legends of the game. I also found out who won the raffle at the event earlier in the day.
A quick find and impressive container too.

Nice quick find. Love seeing the wildlife around here. Tftc tnln another favourite
Omegaman1971 and half of The Rusty's set off to find a few caches just after 7am this morning. We grabbed Maccas brekkie on the way as we'd only just rolled out of bed and I filled up my water bottle in the Maccas bathroom. I hadn't wanted to run the tap back in the caravan as two of the other Rusty's were still asleep.
Anyway, we set off along the track and found this one lurking in its great hidey hole. Impressive camo!

Jacko83 and I decided we would cache up together and hit Wonthaggi and grab some decent D/T rated caches and get me out of the house for a day after having some minor surgery and being housebound and unable to drive for a few more weeks , so started the day early from my place and upon his arrival he had Pacman with him to join in the fun. Car packed the amazing Bentley the geo crazy mad extremely energetic geo dog loaded and we were ready to find some great caches :
Hitting the dunes times......We all cursed the winds but loved the views and the geo Bentley dog went nuts around the whole area.....We could not praise the CO enough on the effort put into the cache containers the challenges and the hides....The history and the novelty was nothing less than TOP QUALITY CACHES .....Some cruel , some easy but most amazed us.....
This was the beginning of a great little trail for us and the containers were beginning to show great thought and theme....Very impressed....This one i had to look twice before picking up lol
AWESOME ....
Thanks for the caches !!!

This was a great day of caching around the Wonthaggi beaches and sand dunes with Jacko83, geomutt Bentley and 88Andy88. A scenic area, a cool day, creative caches, great hikes - altogether a top caching experience here.
After climbing some dunes we hiked a loop here, walking towards the wind turbines along the trail and then back to the car along the beach.
A creative container here which we had to double-check before signing!
Thanks for all the top quality caches we were able to experience today, Gonefishen07 .

In the cool of the late afternoon, we decided to walk the trail to the south of the wind turbines and look for the caches in the area. It was a very pleasant walk with a good quality grassed track and very attractive vegetation, in particular the "avenues" of native flora. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a great novelty cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
On a road trip while over for the Melbourne Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.

Geo husband busy with fire brigade duties which left me free to geocache. This series on my list. I lost my balance at GZ and nearly sat on Lizzie. TFTC gf07
Found it! Our first attempt we couldn't find it, so then we went further up the track & found 2 more! On
our return back to the carpark we had another look & this time the geokid found it! Didn't take anything but we left a furry little friend!

Found in the company of Glanville Girls, McLookers, DAB, Na'wal during a big day of collecting the high D/T caches along the coastline, The Tritonz also accompanied to find the few that they hadn't already found previously, and offer words of encouragement on the ones they had previously visited, this one took a while to locate but eventually we had obtained the container

We were wandering with Lizzie from SkiPair when another wandering Lizzie popped up. Had to locate this one! It was soon found and the log attended to. Then it was off down the track to the next cache, um, delivery! Thanks for this one.
Lizzie (aka Mrs SKI) was pleased to find her namesake lurking in the bush. It's so nice when someone names a cache after you!

After climbing 8 sand dunes in the morning I rang leesa to see what she was up to and she said she was going on a maintenance run to replace a cache and check on some others, so we decided to go together as I hadn't found the ones she was going to look at. We dropped one car behind the Desal plant and then drove to the Williamson beach car park and started the trail we talked, laughed and I found caches as we went.
Thanks Gonefishen for the caches

Our 2nd cache along the trail and we loved the creative cache. Great track for walking or riding. Thanks Gonefishen07
Found this afternoon with Bored2249 and Youcandoit2 on a nice sunny afternoon. It was a bit snakey today but we were careful and escaped without incident.
I enjoyed the container's camo, matching another we found earlier. This is a much more preferable reptile than the one we saw across the path only a few metres along. Thanks for the cache!

Find #1705. Found @ 18:00.
We were on a mission today, to go somewhere with big waves and caches. I chose to widen that mission and re-complete my P81 challenge (which unfortunately uncompleted with a D/T change of one of my completed caches). So Powlett River / Williamsons Beach was our target.
With my target cache completed and my P81 restored to its former glory, I decided to nip off for another quick find while The Good Lady Wife was making sure that the kids left some of the sand behind (although I'm sure that we'll be cleaning it our of crevasses for days to come).
Another great job on the camo.
It is now time to stop at Wonthaggie for some dinner, and then off home.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

Drove to Wonthaggi, to pick up a few more caches on the local walk trails.
Parked close by, and took a short walk in this nice area.
Enjoyed listening to the amazing sound of the wind turbine.
All the caches were cleverly made, and a pleasure to find.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

It was that time of year again, time to head for Wonthaggi for a couple of events and to find some caches on the way. I left earlyish as it was going to be a hot one and it sure was. Got to 40 degrees.
After the event, Philipp, Sarah and I decided to head out to find a few caches before the Dinner event. We chose this path and followed it along picking up caches as we went. Another quick one, cute... Now for the letterbox.
