Regretfully we need to archive this well visited cache.
We've spoken with the new owner of the property and their new cafe here looks to be about a year away from opening. She is amenable to possibly having a cache there, but, considering the length of time and a bit of uncertainty about things, we feel we should archive this for now and see how things progress.

From a statement the new owner provided for The Bridge Cafe:
'The new owners move into the Cafe at the end of April and plan on settling into the property before re-opening the Cafe to the public. The new owner ... is looking to combine her knowledge and experience to re-launch the Bridge Cafe at a later date and is excited about the opportunity to work in a beautiful setting at The Bridge Cafe.'
We hope to meet the new owner reasonably soon and will hopefully be able to continue with the cache placement.
In the meantime - DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE. Thank you.

This is no longer a cafe, it is a private residence, and the owner has requested that people do not enter their property..
Unfortunately we need to disable this, hopefully for only a short time. The cafe has been sold and is temporarily closed while the new owners get ready to reopen. We will talk to them as soon as they do and hopefully get their permission to continue the cache placement within their grounds.
Found today while out caching and tiki-touring with my Mum, Aunty and Mr 14. Thanks for the cache. while out for lunch. Favourite point from us.
Found in the ground but returned to its correct hiding place. Lovely spot to visit. Signed as Team ICE. TFTC
25 November 2017 10:51. Good one! Log found, signed, and perched back again. TFTC from team ICE.
Found as part of Team ICE (Infoferret, Zissas & EthNZ) on a cache gathering mission around the Northern Waiarapa.
It took a wee while to find this one as it was originally some distance from what seemed to be the logical bird brained solution. However the log was signed and the feathers unruffled. TFTC

Stop for lunch on our way to Napier on a beautiful sunny day. Lunch delicious, lots of birdlife, and lots of people, but managed to find without being seen. TFTC
It was raining quite heavily when I called here so I had no muggles to concern me. It wasn't exactly an instant find but I soon discovered something that was likely to be concealing the cache.
TFTC
Looked for a while around seats and fences then the penny dropped with the bird brains hint.
Awesome fun glhf

Thanks to the owner for a quick find after a delicious lunch. Missed the heavy showers fortunately

Nice quick find at a beautiful location. Woodfired Pizza Friday's Will start again soon!
First one yays! I'm hooked now had no idea what I was looking for but eventually got there. Things are looking up from here
Quick stop and on a cold winters day, all the customers were inside. Great camo. TFTC
I always stop at the Bridge cafe when passing through - about once a year. Nice to get a cache this time. TFTC.
Was in Woodville attending GC6JXKQ - Winter Warmer III Event Cache, and as I arrived at the venue with Mrs Yeetrees I noted that there was a cache within 50 metres as to where we parked the car. I decided that as we were running a bit late that we would look at finding this cache after we finished attending the event.
As luck would have it as we decided to go and look for this cache afterwards we were joined by with Jamogen and the CO, now no pressure at all, it is always harder when the CO is looking over your shoulder and you are trying to find the cache.
As I neared GZ I spotted something, but I decided to ignore it and carry on following my GPS, was quite funny when the CO said that I had walked passed it within a metre and I knew that I had made a boo boo, knew that was going to happen.
Sent Mrs Yeetrees to do the honours, signed and handed it to Jamogen to sign and then we gave it to the CO who then went around looking for a safer place to put the cache.
What a great spot for the cache, thanks for placing it here and for bringing us here to a new cafe that we haven't being to before, Mrs Yeetrees enjoyed it so much that she said that we need to come back here for another visit, TFTC TNLNSL (10875). Now it is time to head North to Waipawa to visit family as it isn't too far away.

11.40am - GPS had us going around in circles until I spotted something that might hide a cache. Sure enough, got it only to have other cachers arriving telling us it is some where else. Penny dropped, cache had been relocated. SLTFTC

A fun find before popping inside to the Winter Warmer Event. Pretty wet underfoot and the only adult muggle was too busy with the children to notice my retrieve, signing and replacing. TFTC
Found this cache after the lovely winter warmer event held here. Lovely little cache and a great event. Thanks!
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... The things we do to meet a challenge requirement... Our mission today is to attend an event at the eastern entrance to the Manawatu Gorge. We have a tight time frame and typically, there are lots of beautiful caches in the area...
How convenient... we stepped away from the Winter Warmer event and found that this was close by. The iPhone gps swung all over the garden. It took us a while to register the cache name, and then we saw it... TFTC.

Checked up on the cache today to find it had been moved slightly due to some garden tidying. Have adjusted the co-ordinates accordingly.

An ANZAC Day cache. That's a bit of extra special. Visited here as we made our way back towards home base. A busy place today. This find also complemented our finds of the previous day on the Gorge Track.
A nifty wee hide that gave rise to some flights of fantasy!
Pleased to be able to dodge the muggles to nab the goods, sign the log, then sneakily re-hide, just as found. Not such an easy mission given the throng adjacent and passing through.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Day out in the manawatu with the family. Stopped at the cafe for lunch. Glad we came early as long queue and an hours wait. But spent the time playing in garden and searching for treasure. Meat hiding spot. Thanks.
Group of 5 motorhomes packed overnight in car park. Quick check to see if any nearby caches and we hit the jackpot. Nice hide made us smile.
Nice hide. Parked overnight in car park with bunch of people all from lower south island.
Doing a maintenance run in the area today so naturally stopped here for lunch - yum. Oh, and the cache is all as it should be.
With friends at cafe on way from napier to Wellington, introduced them to geocaching here and they both found it on their own. Yay, new recruits love the cache hide. tftc
After a day heading toward Woodville we decided to pick up a hand full of caches on the way back. This group just over the Balance bridge grabbed our eyes.
Very apt location.

So loved it here. Coming back w kids to stay and enjoy. Build a coffee stop into yr caching this was awesome! Pretty sure there was some bird watchers laughing at us tho. Tftc w purple goose
Gorgeous setting, the most beautiful cafe grounds I've ever seen. Took longer to find the cache than it should have, should have ditched the gps and used our caching eyes. Tftc
After following our GPS briefly, we opened our eyes and quickly spotted this cache in its nice little hidey hole, in this nice little area. Found with hayleyhnz, hannahhnz and hollyhnz, and worth a favourite. TFTC
Quick visit before the cafe opens. Took a while to find, should've put my phone down and just relied on using my eyes. Cool hide. TFTC
Doing a maintenance run today. Needed sustenance by the time we got here!
All well, but we have added another log sheet ready for when it's needed.

Thanks for encouraging me to turn on my Bird brain!
This scenic area now has an awesome MTB trail which ends opposite the Bridge Cafe, for those who are into that sort of thing - see photo added.

If you are a keen mountainbiker then this new trail is awesome... And the 2k climb up Hall Block road is a good warm up!!
The Balance Bridge Café is a favorite post-hike haunt. Even with gale force winds blowing there was quite the crowd here today - but no one in the garden, which meant I had unfettered access to the cache. Thanks for the smiley today, geodatum.
We stopped excited the try out the cafe for breakfast but we were a little early. We will return one day. Thanks for the cache
This was the geocache that started the addiction I found this with a friend and about a month later I tried it out myself - and the rest is history great hide at a great cafe - totally worth the small drive !
1st of the day. Knew what kind of hide it was likely to be before arriving but it still took me awhile to find. Cafe was closed today. Might return to try it out later. TFTC.
Found after a day's tramping in the Coppermine Creek area. Our group of 14 Thursday trampers from the Manawatu Tramping and Skiing Club piled into the cafe for food and coffee. At last a chance to claim this one. Had to use my phone and it wasn't very settled in the cloudy, drizzly conditions. After doing a wide circuit of these very attractive gardens I used my brain and soon spotted it. Neatly hidden geodatum, and a delightful setting, thanks!
Came here on a day's caching to clean up some outstanding unfound caches in the Northern Wairarapa. I didn't pick the obvious clue at first so tried a few spots unsuccessfully. When I stood back and thought about it a bit, I then spotted what I was looking for. Nicely done! Signed log, TFTC

The café was closed, so we went to seek out the cache instead, many thanks for a cool cache hide.
Got here just before cafe opened so no one around. Love the cache something a bit different!! Tftc
It was decided that three of us would meet up at the start of the gorge walk to tidy up some un-found caches in the area. Since I didn't start work until later I left early to pick up some caches on the way. I had an unsuccessful start to the day with a DNF and two unable-to-be-attempted caches as council workers were in the way.
We were at the cafe with friends so why not attempt this cache also. I waited for a few muggle to depart before attempting this one. It was a quick find for me.
Thanks for the cache and the smiley.

There were four carloads of muggles at the indicated GZ so this will have to wait for another year
I had been here once before trying to find this cache with no luck, after some well needed lunch we were going to see if we could spot this one, sure enough after some muggles left we managed to get the cache and log the find, how we missed this the first time round I have no idea. tftc
beautiful spot amazing food easy find gets a fav from me I will be back thanks for bringing us here
Picked this one up after doing a run on the gorge track. We were feeling a bit 'stuffed' so bird brain seemed appropriate - & coffee was handy to aid recovery . Also there was too much activity around the "ECATS" cache.
Co ords were a little out, but it's not a problem. I went to GZ & sat down as there was a muggle not too far away, so that I could think where to look first before searching, & spotted a likely spot straight away. Fortunately it was out of view of the café go'ers, so it was a quick find, then off to get the coffee. TFTC

[green] Etherlord, Ethermiss and I headed out to Woodville for a quick geocaching trip - we have two hours only! I wanted the letterbox for a badge upgrade and ECATS the last of the caches that celebrate me (rather a humbling experience). Etherlord was after Gottfried Lindauer to complete his August challenges. And since we are passing, a few other caches along the way.
Having just done ECATS and really running out of time, Etherlord and I could not resist going on to pick up this one. I had been seriously thinking of placing a cache in this garden, but too many other caching projects got in the way, so I glad that it happened, thanks, geodatum. Since I thought this garden was so worthy of a cache, I guess that means I think it is worthy of a favourite too.
Signed as ECATS (Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid). Well, we had to! After just coming from ECATS the cache!

Co-ords a wee bit out, but when all else fails, the name of the cache will give some help.
A great meal at the café.

found on the way back from the " '15 Minutes Of Fame' @ Woodville " event.
I was disappointed not to have made it to the event that this was placed for, but pleased to get it now

Sorry I couldn't make the recent event her but I found this cache today. It was an early start to get to the 15 minutes of fame event in Woodville at 7am! On the way back I found this one with All7ofus and Etherlord. Great hiding spot although we got a little wet and muddy due to all the rain overnight.
A relatively quick find with Etherlord, stardust718, and haydn-seek-nz-wil677 (who had already found this one, but was along for the ride). The wet weather made the ground pretty damp under foot and the drizzle wasn't helping the GPSr, however near GZ my eye spotted something in keeping with the theme and we soon had the cache in hand.
TFTC and a favourite point for the hide and location.

A day spent geocaching in Palmerston North while geo husband was at a workshop. Lovey sunny spring day but with a cool breeze . Together with JonoS and Haydn-seek-NZwil677 we explored caches in and around Palmerston North.
Found coordinates a bit out but looking at the name of the cache soon were signing the log and off for a delicious lunch at the cafe. TFTC
