TFTC. I could sign with pen. Cache is looking tired and logbook wet. Could use a birthday. Hope it lasts as it a lovely hide in a beautiful spot.
Got it. Might come back for a penguin tour tonight. Couldnt write on log as its wet but took photo.
Kids found it pretty quickly. Contents were dry but it smelt like it had been used for storing fish bait.
Had a bit if fun finding it rather windy and everything inside was a tad wet
Thanks so much! First cache in a while but the logbook had been wet and ink had run on it, pencil was broken so just signing here! Awesome spot!
Found this one during the daytime but Im glad we did as it would have been weird poking around of a night. Nice to see all the nesting boxes for the penguins and the pademelons at GZ. TFTC
Walked down here from foghorn leghorn. Absolutely loving the stunning scenery and beaches. TFTC
Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!
So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.
Todays adventure takes me west from Launceston to St Helens via Beaconsfield, Low Head, Bridport and Scottsdale.
I was a little early for the penguins today, and unfortunately couldn’t stay longer so a quick walk revealed the cache location and the log was signed.
Thanks katiemac88 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

A wander down here at 10am was never going to reveal any penguins but I did get a good feel of the place with little shelters and the viewing platform.
Easy find of a great sized cache.
Cheers

Bush Track and I had a joint day out caching in the area, it was enjoyable to spend the time together. We had 25 Finds, 1 DNF, and 1 we had to leave due to a Snake!
Easy Find
Thanks, Katiemac88 for placing this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment

Yay - 3rd find of day 2 of our Great Tassie 2023 Caching Adventure. TFHC - awesome location, no penguins to see. A couple of rabbits were having fun
Enjoying this area and the few caches is a bonus. Thanks for the upkeep on these.
Caching around this area of Tasmania today while on holidays.
Found the container easily.
After the caching duties we had a look around and saw a couple of cute Penguins in their burrows.

My last Cache for the day this one was Penguin related and when i was curious about this strange looking wooden box at ground level on the fringe of a bush thicket i knew what it was there for
Sure as eggs there was a penguin within but being afraid to scare or startle it i backed off quickly and left it alone. I was stoked to see one, but. [:x]
The cache was a quick find too and it's log was signed at 11:53 on Boxing Day 2022.
All is good and dry within the cache.

Found with LexiRover while staying at the Lighthouse cottage. Love the little penguins. Tftc
Do not go looking in the bushes, very close to active nests. Otherwise a pleasant stroll and easy find. TFTC
Such a beautiful area. Managed to get this one this afternoon while in gtown before the rain came!
What a beautifully spot !
Spent some time enjoying the tranquillity, thank you

Found it but pen broke so couldn’t write in the log. Beautiful location thanks katiemac88
I’m going to have to come back to see the penguins one day! Thanks for highlighting
Cache is active again. No penguins this time.
Placed back in correct spot, please try and hide with smaller rocks as a lot of muggles come here

So found the cache…. And a penguin right next to it. So left the cache and the penguin alone. Did take a photo of both. Clearly didn’t sign the log.
Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.
