Found on the way to Standley Chasm. Thanks for bringing me here and greetings from Saxony in Germany. TFTC
Stayed at Standley Chasm on a trip through the West Macs. Such a lovely spot and happy to pick up a traditional cache in the area. TFTC
Found with SJG66 on a spectacular day spent checking out the West Macdonnell Ranges. TFTC.
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.We spent the last night at Chasem Camping.... After a very tasty breakfast... and a visit to the gorge, we stopped briefly at the "gate" as we continued our journey. We quickly found the little one and signed the guest book....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
Quick find into Standley Chasm. GPS a bit off if the gate is open but experienced cache catchers should be fine. TFTC

Day 4 of our Larapinta Trail walk, and having arrived at Standley Chasm nice and early in the day, it gave our group plenty of time to set up camp, and me to wander down the road to pick up a couple of caches. After walking about a kilometer from the camping spot, the cache was located in the second spot I searched.

Found while visiting The Alice, Travelled from SA along the Birdsville Track to the Big Red Bash, across the Simpson Desert and up the Binns track to Alice.
Not the first place I looked, GPS took me to the opposite side of the road. Looking at previous logs I worked it out.

My GPS took me to the wrong side. Once I relied on my spider senses, the cache was soon in hand TFTC
Had to stop and grab this cache after todays visit - missed it the other day. Found in the last place I looked which should have been the first!
I took about 20 fake photos of the sign waiting for muggles to pass before deciding to check the other side of the road just in case. TFTC
Found it on the other side if the road. Not much parking so be careful. Got stuck but used a TOTT and success…TFTC and SL at 11.10am.
The gates were open, but there were a lot of confused muggles trying to figure out what we were doing there! A natural TOTT soon saw the container revealed and SL at 11.10am #8682 TFTC griffs90
Got some strange looks from muggles while looking for the cache on the gate as they where driving out. quick find.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to griffs90 from mogni

Found in the last place I looked after brekkie and a walk to the chasm. TFTC.
Full time nomads since 2013. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Retracing our steps of the past few months. Why? Because we cant get to SA any other way than through NT.
Nice cache placement but unfortunately it was out of reach today finally with the aid of some TOTT we were able to sign the log. Placed back a bit more accessible. Cache in good order.

This is a tricky hide and it took me a while to locate the cache. Another ' I was just about to give up when ...' story.
Dr Owl is in town for a few days which means I had a go at playing tour guide and a chance to see things in a different light.
I came out here during the great COVID lock in (with bio security zones were in place) to find a locked gate. I was so frustrated with myself at the time I didn't even think to see if there were caches nearby. The gate wasn't locked for this visit!
Thanks for the cache griffs90.

Eventually we extracted the cache. The gate was open. Not locked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Owl and Eagle are in Alice Springs on a train expedition, so collected the temporarily-resident Sushilord and headed west... then east... then south. Fun was had, along with some spectacular scenery and out-of-the-way adventures. This was found on the way out of Standley Chasm and a process of elimination brought the Fish to the right place.

@Davidwazza and I travelled to the Northern Territory from Adelaide for a 2.5 weeks road trip holiday in the infamous black jeep. We took a route through Port Augusta, Woomera, Roxby Downs, Andamooka, and then drove the Oodnadatta Track via Coward Springs, William Creek (including a Lake Eyre scenic flight), Oodnadatta, and Marla. It was then onwards to visit Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tju?a (Olgas), Kings Canyon, and then drove the Red Centre Way aka. Mereenie Loop Road to see the Tjoritja (West MacDonell Ranges), calling in to see the various highlights. We then stayed a few nights in Alice Springs, and included a day trip to see the East MacDonell Ranges, before heading home in a more direct route through Palm Valley, Owen Springs Reserve, Henbury Craters, and the Lambert Centre of Australia, and finally Coober Pedy.
Today, we set off from Glen Helen Gorge, exploring the West MacDonells as we made our way to Alice Springs.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9692. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
We wanted to go out and see the chasm but couldn't justify the $40 entry fee so all we found was this cache.
Thanks griffs90 for the cache.

WHOOPS! I'm logging about 100-200 or so caches like 3 months after the trip that we found them on! Completely forgot to log these but I did not forget the trip! Found this cache along with many others on an adventure around the red centre. Along this adventure we visited and explored many phenomenal and surreal places such as Woomera, Coober Pedy, Uluru and Mutitjulu, Kata Tjuta, Wattarka, Tnorala, Both East and West Macdonnell ranges, Arltunga, Ruby Gap, Palm Valley, Parts of the Finke road, Boggy Hole, Rainbow Valley, Old Ghan Route, Chambers Pillar, Oodnadatta track, Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Painted Desert, Moon plane and I'm sure I've missed a few! Thank you so much for the cache. Found with Ferociousflea and -Beaker- along with our mint 79 series that accomplished alot in this two week time frame.

Great spot! I'd never been here before. Although the cost of getting in was a little on the overpriced side, it was worth a look.

We were running out of time to do the one on the loop walk so we thought we'd do this one on the way out. With a low D and based on the name, we thought it should be pretty quick but alas, after 10 minutes of good searching, we had to DNF this one and keep moving. Hopefully it is still there and it just eluded us. Thanks anyway.
We found this one on our way in to the chasm today. How beautiful this place is!
Thanks for this cache griffs90 and adding more fun to our holiday.
