Hasn’t been found after numerous DNFs for over a year, no response to a Needs Maintenance log back on 11/12/18.
Time to fix or go.
Time to fix or go.
Logging a needs maintenance on this one. A string of DNFs and no finds this year. I have also looked for this a couple of months back and could not locate it. GZ looks to have had some TLC from the local bushcare group and maybe the cache has been removed.
Even departed the comforts of the boardwalk to look under foot, appears bush care group may have moved this one on, maintenance required
I went to look for this cache and saw that I might as well move on to save my time.
Needed at least one cache while in Sydney and this seemed the easiest based on where I was staying. Interesting reserve - managed to completely over complicate the process but eventually found - TFTC
Previously logged under team account BoogieRogue. Re-logging with my individual account. What a lovely park I never knew existed. So peaceful, ideal for an after work window down. Thanks for sorting it to us.
Cache is in good condition if a bit dirty. Cleaned it out as much as possible.

Love this reserve ... a quiet haven in suburbia. Cache in good condition log a bit damp. Travelling in the area for a few days. Log may be stamped Coongoola or small logs signed CG. SL
Thanks for placing this cache cooperdono

I searched for it for a while and then decided to see if I could find any help in the logs. Seeing the last couple of logs made me think maybe the cache is missing, so I decided to see if I could find a place where the cache potentially should be.
Using the collection of images found in other logs I found the stone that was in everyone's pictures that they had taken after finding the cache, and then looked around that stone for potential hiding places.
In the attached pictures, I found two little piles of rocks that could have been harboring the cache in the past. so it does seam as though its missing.
However, it could just be that the four of us just didn't find it.
Can someone who's found the cache or the author confirm, please?

I searched for a good while and in some different places - obviously not the right ones But no matter, this was a lovely place and it's amazing to see it in the middle of all the buildings around it.

Lovely walk. Big difference from when i used to mess around down here as a kid 20+ years ago. No trackables in cache however. TFTC
Came there a year ago with a DNF ... today after a fez max minutes, still nothing ... about to give up and finally decided to go trough the logs !! Got a clue, tried it and here it is not easy to spot, took me some effort youhou. Thanks for this nice walk
Got up in the morning from accommodation in Randwick amd headed to the reserve. Managed to find the container. I support the Fred Hollows foundation, so it's nice to get a cache in his honour. TFTC
Took a slight diversion on my way to work today to have a look at a couple of caches in the Randwick area, a previously solved puzzle cache and a nearby Traditional. This was my 1st of 2 finds for the day.
I had actually attempted to have a look at this one while in the area a couple of days ago, attempting to access the walking path from Alison Road, but was confronted by a large temporary fence with a "NO ENTRY" sign across the pathway. I managed to get around the fence, but then ran into the work crew along the path who were none-too-happy to see me there!
Today I approached the reserve from the opposite end, via Bligh Place, but found the same fencing & signage placed across the path at that end, so the entire reserve appears to be currently closed. But today being Saturday I figured that the workers would probably not be onsite, so I took a chance and went around the fencing. The work being carried out appears to be a complete replacement of all of the steps & walkways with "plastic" replacements, and as I walked towards GZ I just hoped that the extensive works had not impacted on the cache.
Arrived at GZ and started the search, checking in a few likely spots before uncovering the hide and having CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. The cache interior & log book are a bit damp, but otherwise it's in reasonable shape. The works appear to have been completed at this spot, so the cache should now be safe. TFTC cooperdono.

Walked Zelda (my dog) down here and she waited patiently while I searched. A rewarding find. Thanks
I was on a walk down to Coogee after visiting friends in Kensington and stopped to find a few caches. This is a really beautiful area. Cheers for this cache!

After this came up on my watch list last night as having been found yesterday, I thought after two DNFs a couple of months ago, I should probably give it one more shot. I've previously missed out on my own and with geoson so why not this time take along frazeydaze who refuses to accept a dnf. Although it took her a little time, slipping here, sliding there, she delivered the goods much to my relief as I had just about given up on finding this beautifully hidden cache. Although the co-ords moved around a bit they always returned to gz. After three visits to this reserve in as many months I doubt I will been returning, unless another cache is placed there. Was asked by oldmorty to accompany him and help try to find this cache. What lovely bushland. Found myself on a boardwalk looking down at a little creek. "It's somewhere up here". Oldmorty kept to the upper area and I ventured further afield going to places oldmorty said he would not go to if he were on his own. A lot of stretching and bending. Looking under and into. A lot of spider webs. It was nowhere to be found. We were just about to give up when, as happens, another thought comes to mind. Eureka! Found it. Thanks oldmorty for asking me to join you. Thanks cooperdono for the fun. Dropped off a TB and picked up a cache buddy.
I DNF'd this a few months ago and it had been haunting me ever since. Perfect opportunity to earn my haunted hides souvenir! Scratching around for over half and hour, climbing, sweating and getting dirty when I finally saw it peeking out of it's little hidey hole! Cache #80, one of the most satisfying finds- TFTC!!!!
With the day off work it was a 2.30am wakeup in Goulburn to get the partner and our young geoson to the airport for a week long trip to Perth to see some family. The plane flew out at seven so I had a day off and in need of something while in Sydney. So naturally a good handful of caches would do.
Twenty finds and three dnfs while in Sydney and the Shire area today. I had a few trackables that I dropped near Appin today on the scout trails but they got some miles visiting all the caches today.
Found on the way to Bondi for an afternoon caffeine hit.

GPS was a bit jumpy. Searched every inch around GZ, looked under every rock and bridge, through the bush and nothing. Really nice place, will have to come back again soon
After not finding this one earlier in the week I engaged the services of super sleuth geoson for help. Although it was hard determining where gz was we settled on a search area, however, after an extensive search of about half an hour we admitted defeat until another day maybe.
On a gloomy day it wasn't over there, under there or around there. After an hour I thought its time to move right along.
Found it after searching the wrong place the first time. Better stick to the GPS, TFTC!
Great location! Hard to believe that I'm in the eastern suburbs!! Is this what the area looked like 220 years ago? BEAUTIFUL.
Anyway TFTC

Out and about today to vote early because I am only house sitting in the area.
Finding somewhere to park was a pain in the a#$e.
Eventually i made it to GZ and began my search. looking, looking, looking ....mmm
The hint was a waste of time .... follow the GPSr and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

A really wet walk to GZ. Then I tried to use the hint instead of my GPS. Bad mistake!?!

Wow. What a beautiful walk! Thanks for bringing me to this hidden paradise. As for the cache. I suck. I completely missed it. Lucky a past finder who is more diligent was with me!
I look and look and even kneel down and felt around not I had No luck. It is a lovely spot. Just because I did not find it does not mean it is not there. Next time.
Looks like a great area but I turned back after finding the cache as it began raining. Its not supposed to be raining again today. Where is our sunny summer?

What an amazing location! A new favourite of mine. Who would've thought such a beautiful place could be right in the middle of a city suburb. I felt like I was back doing the Konica Track in PNG. Once I reached GZ and read the hint I had CIH within seconds. Loved it! TFTC.
I was telling J don't bother, a couple of DNF's, but he was keen still to try. Arrived at ground zero and found with in ten seconds
My friend went in today to drop off a travel bug. He could not find the cache , also checked under the bridge and stairs.
He mentioned a new foot walk has been built and perhaps the cache box disappeared with that.

Yeah~waited for fence off for long and finally found a chance to get it! Beautiful place great cache! And a bit challenging for me as well! Found it in the rain! Thanks for the cache!
This was AMAZING! Thank you! Geocaching takes me to such beautiful places! I'm not a fan of city life, so these excursions save my sanity till I get home to Oregon
Despite the fence, I decided to try it but once a GZ, I realised workers changed the wooden path and maybe they found the cache before me
Will retry later

There is fencing up at all entrances of the park because the council is doing upgrades. Could take a while so cache might need to be disabled while work is taking place.
No probs accessing the reserve now, but I failed to find the cache in the five minutes I spent looking before a family with young mugglets came along. I love this place, it's like a secret world.
The council has closed Fred Hollows Reserve after the storm, probably because of a large branch hanging over the path (in a potentially unstable condition). Otherwise there seems to be no safety issue in the reserve.
Found the cache after reading the hint. Went together with our friends ("Chocaroma"). TFTC! TNLN.

After a great little stroll through the gorgeous greenery, I found this great cache! GPS coords had me up & down a little, but made the find quite quickly. I did the signing duties & left a TB. TFTC
Loved the welcome cool of this location and had a lovely walk through the forest.
A real hidden gem this spot.

Found it! With Lachlan. His 2nd. damn having long sticks are good cause one means u don't have to walk into spider webs and 2 stick Ur hands in places where nasties might be.
Nice walk into the cache through the ravine. Took a few minutes, but still an easy find. TFTC.
Found with Dragon2005 and her sister. Nice work drawing people to this little patch of urban jungle!
Nice walk down here and nice hiding place. We remember coming here a few years ago for a now-archived cache. Thanks for brnging us here again. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Sneaky park in the apartment building above while between jobs. Great little reserve, I love these hidden gullies around clovelly and coogee.
