Thanks for the obvious place!!! 3 Rd night on a3-night trip and havent found any of the three other caches at last two stops. So very thankful for this one and the earth cache close by! Lovely coastline and just now enjoying watching the tide come in. Thank you
Well yes we groaned as we approached GZ but it was big enough to not take too much time to find - so apology accepted (re the hint). Thanks. A magical spot of a sunny winters day.
Kiwitrecker1 and I decided to go for a bit of a bike ride today. We hadnt cycled this section of the trail before and are both really enjoying it so far. Finding a cache or two on the way is a real added bonus to todays adventure so thanks for creating this one!
Staying at Rays Rest, absolutely stunning day, enjoying a ride along the cycle trail
#13,987. Making my way south along this coast before heading to Rotorua for the night. Parked close by and saw one place you might consider hiding a cache. Not the spot most cachers like to dive into but this one was big enough and on the edge to make it a fairly easy find. Thanks rosmar for hiding this cache here on the Shorebird Coast.
Was first time out on this coast so had to stop for this. Easy find good condition. Thanks
First cache of my mini Coromandel roadtrip. Quick find, cache all good. Back to the car quickly as rain is on the way.TFTC
Certainly obvious spot with stunning views. Out with Pussncat again today. Another one down.
Here for a family weekend and after exploring the shorebird centre and shell beaches we carried on up this way, slowly enjoying the view. I asked i_halfpint to pull over next to the obvious feature and cache was quickly found. TFTC in a lovely spot.
Nice easy find, stunning area, weather just clearing in time for a quick geocache. TFTC
Nice quick find, obtained trackable from Australia and will place it in Abu Dhabi or Armenia somewhere next month
TFTC!

We stay at the nearby freedom campsite. So I walked to the cache to see this difficult object. I had to circle it twice to spot the cache. Thanks for placing this cache.
We stood two nichts at this great beach. It was a quick find.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

Parked up for the night at Rays Rest and with it being a nice day came for a walk. Cache and contents are fine. Thanks for the placement.
Drove up right next to gz. Hubby had mentioned where it might be and hint confirmed that. Thankfully it was a easy grab. Couldn't get over the amount of snail shells that were around. Wonder what that's about? Tftc
Made a point of an excursion to Miranda to see the godwits. Quick stop to find this cache. All good in the container. Tftc and MX!
A beautiful sunny morning for a stroll down the beach from where we're camped up.
A nice easy find, thankfully.
I took out all the shells and rubbish people have used for trades and left a pet rock - a bee. Also the log book is pretty damp, but still signable.
Thanks for putting this here

OH NO , not the usual place. But on this occasion there was no crashing and delving for a quick find. Tftc
Staying overnight at Rays rest so walked down & found this in misty rain.
Dropped off our new TB to go traveling.

Came here to stay the night and realised that there was a cache here so went to find it. Lots off fun swag, Really enjoyed this one.TFTC
Out and about on our bikes and doing a little caching on the way back. Luckily it was not too busy for a leisurely look. Thanks to the great container it was an easy find. Cache is all good. TFTC
Heading back to the big smoke after a weekend in the BOP. Taking the scenic route home, hopefully missing out on the traffic congestion at the Bombays with all the other long weekend returning traffic.
Taking the off road trail along this section of the highway, checking out the sights. Stopped here to collect this cache and have a wander. Found 2 hammerhead shark pups washed up on the beach which was a sad sight to see. TFTC

Flax, Bla! are awful to search in. We nearly gave up on this given it hadn't been found since July and the four of us had circled the flax probably 2-3 times, but managed to come out with the cache. Signed as KKKT
Damn flax are awful to search in. We nearly gave up on this given it hadn't been found since July and the four of us had circled the flax probably 2-3 times, it was good to give the 'found it' call. Grabbed the TB. Signed as KKKT
I usually groan at flax hides but thankfully a decent sized container was easy to spot here
I nice stretch of beach on a lovely day. Nice easy find thanks to Miss 5’s hawk eyes.
We were setting off on a bike ride from Kaiaua on the Hauraki Rail Trail to Piporoa and back - we were finding it challenging riding on the soft sand and the seashells, so were glad for the excuse to stop here and find the cache. One of us went one way and the other the other way and we soon spotted the large container.
Took the scenic route on a trip to Thames and did a quick stop off on the way to grab this cache which was a nice quick find. I dropped a TB, TFTC!
very windy here today. walked instead of biking as it would be tough with the head wind. had to look hard and reach deep for this one. tftc
We decided we should
On a mini caching adventure with rebel98, on our way back to Auckland, but with all the covid19 stories, not sure if we should
Thanks for the hide rosmar

After cycling the HRT from Waitakaruru to Kopu and collecting caches along the way of course, we headed along this road to grab a few caches with keylev, stik-a-crane and NZTravellers. This was our last for the day. We avoided the bird carcass very close to GZ and circled the obvious item until stik-a-crane called out "found it". Happy to end the day on a smiley.
Out for a bit of cycling along the HRT trail. The Kopu to Waitakaruru leg, kindly arranged by Keylev, joined also by NZTravellers, and HeMaLuDy, Purply, and Darthcacher1.
Signed in as 'SEAC' to save logbook space. Stopped in for lunch at Pipiroa, and then back on the trail, before the rain came....not quite...got a little damp towards the end. (luckily it's not too cold today)
The last for the day before heading home.
A great day, and a great group of people.
TFTC.

An adventure was planned with some of the Team SEAC crew to explore a part of the country that we had not visited before now that lockdown has lifted and we are allowed to travel a little further from home.
There were laughs, groans and muscle pains but it was, as always, heaps of fun.
After finishing the bike trail we decided to get 'just a few more' on the way home (ok full disclosure....slight detour).
Amazing how far along the beach you can drive here. Hearts sank a little where we saw we would need to search but we managed to avoid the dead bird nearby and complete the find.
Thanks for the cache.

Having finished with my work commitments for the week I had some spare time today to go out and find a few caches. I headed off in a south - east - north - west kind of loop. Had a good time with a variety of caches found along the way. Parked a little way off from GZ and had a short walk to the cache. I circled around GZ a few times before I spotted it. All good in the end. TFTC, Biggles.
Out for the afternoon/evening with family and friends, locating caches along the way.
Heading to kaiaua for fish and chips with friends and we’re caching along the way on a beautiful hot day. TFTC

After coming to Miranda for the earthcache and enjoying a soak in the hot pools we grabbed a couple of other caches after enjoying some fish and chips on the beach including this one. No problems with the find even in the dark. TFTC.
Easy find. The day couldn't decide if it was going to rain or shine. On my way to the airport. Thanks for the cache!
Camped at the freedom camping spot last night, and had a very pleasant wander down to pick up a couple of caches this morning.
This was a quick find thanks.

At Miranda looking at the sea birds. Lovely morning. Finding the cache wasn’t as difficult as we thought it could be on approach. Thanks.

Found it. Nice stroll on the beach. Tide way out. Will enjoy watching it coming.
One of the many caches during this year's vacation. Thanks to all of you who contributed in hiding and maintaining those caches. You are those ones who made this hobby possible.
