So the council is going to be spending the next 12 months tearing up the park - not a bad thing - it needed it. At this stage we don't know what parts of this multi will remain, which parts will be moved.
Sorry one and all.
So I leave you with this...
And now, the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I'll say it clear
I'll state my case, of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my fill my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say - not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
Yes, it was my way
Thanks Frank.

Yep. All fenced off. Apparently there are major works here. I'll investigate if this cache will be workable in future.
I received a snap chat today of diggers around GZ. When I enquired about the cache I was informed it may have been bulldozed. May need to check this one.
I managed to find and calculate the coordinates for GZ pretty fast, and when I got there it looked like there was a party there recently. There was a makeshift swing, a teddy bear attached to a branch and a million straws and pipecleaners. The actual cache, however, was a nice, easy find. All stages in good condition. TFTC
Working nearby I just could not leave without grabbing this cache. Stage 1 was quick and easy and with the math completed it was off to stage 2. As I sat and enjoyed the sunshine I quickly calculated the next waypoint which was just across the way. Once at GZ it didn't take too long to find this nifty little cache. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams
I started this one about a year ago and somehow I never got around to finishing it. Today was the day I finally had time to do the last two way points. It did take a little while for me to find the last spot as it looked like some little kids have been having a big party around this area. Thanks for placing the great cache.

I decided to cache local to my work today and, so chose to come and do this one. I struggled with some of the numbers, but managed to tweak them eventually. Narrowing down the exact location took way longer than it should have. It was obvious that some children had been having a great time in the area. There was a treasure box and some pretty decorations in nearby trees and even a homemade swing. Almost about to give up when I just happened to look in a particular direction and bingo. Thanks for the tour of the area and local parks.

An interesting little multi, that has a bit of everything. Lots of maths, which confused Ilukaperi, lots of WPs which confused me. The final projection I did the modern way whilst Iluka did it old skool and we both ended up in roughly the same spot and after a little while of hunting in what seemed like the obvious spot, we expanded our search and discovered the much more bold hide. TFTC
Nice little multi, apart from all the maths!
When we got to the final location we were searching around for ages, and then we backed up a bit and we found it, in a much more open and easier spot.

Crank1 and myself meandered and projected and eventually found this clever cache. (After a big stuff up on my behalf with some numbers). Thanks for showcasing some of the parks in the area simkat
Howdy.
Great little multi. Good for geokid putting his maths into practice.
Met several dogs.
Thank you.

Found this one today while grabbing a few caches with omegaman1971 that we still had outstanding in the area. We set about gathering the required numbers and then went through this nice park to yet another. We found the next piece to get to the final GZ and after gathering our bearings set off and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks simkat for the neat little multi and the hide and for showing us a little around this area.
Local knowledge is why I love geocaching! Had a great morning with the geohounds today as simkat took us on a tour of his local area, somewhere I never knew existed.
The first park was very cute as all the paths converged onto the play area. The bottlebrushes were looking awesome, and the boxes were soon found. I returned to the bench and played with the numbers until a set of coordinates had us on the move again.
Up the secret cut-through into a very pleasant sunny expanse of green. I spotted the first hide even before I sat down. An interesting looking container and token. I wonder what their origins were?
The directions were super clear and soon I was taking a bearing and heading towards a likely spot. When I got there it was a few metres further than expected, so I checked the size (groan) and backed up a bit. No need for such negativity - hello cache, very happy to see you at such spot on coordinates
The geohounds were released and we did a victory lap of the oval, visiting the old home among the gum trees along the way.
Thanks for a great morning simkat. You’ve got a pretty spot here. From your gallery shots it looks like you’ve got a drone too - perfect place to go for a fly!

Nice quick little multi for today with an easy find no need for any climbing at all. Tftc
Found on 19 March 2018 at 4:34:12 pm. Find #2568. Made hard work of this in the end and walked many different directions and searched many different gz’s but when i went back to the start read the whole description and re-entered some numbers my gps lead me straight to it. Very nice little multi that is very close to ny home and been on the to do list for too long.
Not now though.
Thanks for the adventure.

Had 20 minutes to spare on my way home from work so I thought I'd see if I could complete this one in time. I had to initial clues done and quickly moved to WP2 where the adventures started. I really enjoyed how this park opens up from the narrow cut-through and loved being here - so peaceful! The clues all worked wonderfully well and I hit GZ and found success within minutes - what a pleasurable experience! Thanks simkat - had a ball
Ooh the weather has taken its toll! Just going to spit and polish this sucker - sans the spit....cheers!
An excellent experience with this one. I parked at what I thought was by GZ but realised was actually a 200 odd metres away and took the walk down to GZ. Once there I identified all three boxes, obtained the required information from two of them and stood there whilst manipulating the values. A house is being constructed next to the path and a workman went back and forth a couple of times. I can only imagine what he thought of someone standing there scribbling away in a notebook whilst punching numbers into his phone. These are things cachers do
So off to the next waypoint and like many others (judging by the clearance around various rocks) I misread the cache description. After not finding a container I re-read the description again and had a facepalm moment. Walked to the correct object and had a bit of luck as a muggle was walking off from that exact structure as I was entering the oval. How often does that happen? Not enough IMHO. Usually you have to hang about and wait for them to move off if you’re lucky, otherwise it’s come back another time...
I digress, back to the actual experience. So after arriving at the structure I do the once over expecting to find a certain type of container. Nope, not a hint of one. I search the structure again, nope, nothing resembling what I expected to see. I take a look around me, it couldn’t be anywhere else as any other spot is just too far distant. So just before I sit down and have a think about things, read some logs and mutter a few choice epithets about the CO I search the structure for a third time paying much closer attention. What’s this? Ahh, it moves. Success! I managed to discern two pieces of information immediately but the third probably needs some reinforcing given the surface is beginning to take on a brown hue if you know what I mean.
Now I’m not much of one for projections. They don’t get used often enough for cachers to become truly proficient with them and COs sometimes mix up their true north with magnetic north and mean one when it is the other. So taking a breath I entered the info into my device once at the right set of co-ordinates and after a short walk spied that which I wanted to see. Brilliant, I love it when things go off without a hitch. The log is in need of replacing as I put my name down in one of two blank spots and the other isn’t really a spot, more the foot of the log.
Thanks for the experience simkat a most enjoyable multi with a bit of a twist. The view at the second spot was a bonus.

Out for a ride this morning in the sunny weather, this is Spring! Not the hail that was around yesterday. I like the hide at the seat, neato! Cache eventually found after walking in circles for a few minutes. The first cachers I ever met were Ambos (megua and billykirst), keep up the good work Sim(Kat).
Both Square_Pegs and I are out this way looking for caches so we stopped off to give this one a go. We managed to turn the clues into a set of workable co-ords and found ourselves searching high and low but we weren't having too much luck until we expanded our search area about 10m over there and what ya know? SP has it just like that. Thanks simkat.
We followed the clues with each stage unfolding nicely. With the final projection plugged into both our units we were both being placed in the same location. After searching high and low, we started fanning out and were pleased to be able to spot it, about 10 metres from where the satellites were putting us. With the log signed it was time to meander back to the car at the starting coordinates.
Thanks to simkat for placing this cache, it was an interesting little journey.

I've been watching this cache for some time now. It's the closest one to where my daughter lives. Noticing it has been reactivated and looking for some points to help find Mary Hydes treasure we came to do this multi. We acquired the necessary information and headed to find the cache. We must of headed in slightly the wrong direction as I was having trouble finding the cache in what I thought was the most likely location. My daughter meanwhile entertained the dog and obviously was thinking about the location when I heard her pipe up that she had found it some 10 metres from where I was looking. TFTC
Aargh! Grrr! Fnurgh! etc.
Major clue has been muggled. May not be replaceable. We'll see soon!

Found on a mild spring day after a walk in the area. All waypoints went fine although the hide was of a type that I find difficult. After finding nothing at first, I checked previous logs and something made me realise where to look. As chance would have it, the cache was in the very next spot that I looked.
#245 - 3.10pm
Awful day but the rain had finally stopped falling. Lots of puddles about as I journeyed through the multi. Didn't seem to stop a few avid walkers from doing many laps of the oval. Had to time my approaches and investigations between them. Found GZ easily enough, but then things got tricky. I spent 20min sploshing about without being able to locate it. And then that golden moment...!
It was very satisfying to sign in on this one, but the log only has 5 spots left.
Thanks simkat for a clever multi that uses a different style. It's a shame that I'm only the 2nd visitor here in over 7 months... Hopefully it gets more love in the future.

This was a fun multi which we three boys achieved across a week.
Early stages were easily solved in drizzly rain but with iPhone battery draining rapidly. We hunted the GZ til the phone died but had no luck.
A shout out to the owner during the week confirmed we were in the right spot, so on the following Friday we ventured out again, finding inside a few minutes and signing the cache.
Geodad grew up on the other side of Templeton Rd and didn't really know this part of Wantirna. Thanks Simkat for introducing us to this part of the world and a couple of cool parks

I did this last week on a rainy day, which became a downpour when I got to gz. Came back today and found it right away, thanks for the fun multi!
I was in the area so I thought that I would grab this cache. I have been a bit remiss lately regarding multi's so I thought that I should redress the situation.
I quickly got the first set of numbers and after some quick in car calculation I was at the second location with the next set of co-ordinates.
when I actually got to the GZ it took me some time to find the cache. Sometimes I find this type quickly other times I seem to have a severe case of cache blindness. It was the latter today. Eventually I saw it and signed the log. Thanks for a slightly different multi.

Pretty nifty little multi, I reckon. The choice of starting coordinates seemed a bit unusual seeing there was nothing to see there. On the other hand, I was glad to see projections and hidden coordinates at that intermediate waypoint, in addition to the virtual waypoint, if only because they help mix things up a bit. Was completely unfamiliar with the area, so thanks for luring me in there. Only complaint is that the cache ended up being a micro rather than a small container, which likely resulted in a more protracted search. [Edit: now amended - cheers simkat] Was a good'un overall. Thanks simkat!
Found waypoints easily but once at ground zero we nearly left without a find. I had a suggestion a with that Buffyelmo spotted it right away also with Bradman7777

With this one just back on line, I thought I would give it a go. I stopped off on my way to Emerald to collect the first lot of numbers. Later in the day on my way home and having worked out the next way point, I continued my quest. All went well until I got to GZ...I was standing in front a perfect hiding place...but no cache that I could see. I hunted around for other possible locations but couldn't find anything that looked as suitable as the first spot. In the end I went away somewhat frustrated... Was I looking in the right place? Was the cache camouflaged too well for me to see it? Was the cache missing?
Thanks anyway simkat for the meander...

Replaced the container and moved it slightly. Some may find it easier to find. On the other hand some may find it a little more difficult.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
On the road to retirement at this stage. Might get to work on a replacement me thinks
Thought I would introduce the grandchildren to cache. Nice day for a walk and new it was to be in parks. Clues were to pick up but the last stop had us puzzled. Got the numbers ok but what to do with them. Let the kids run around and top daughter read all the instructions clearly and we were on our way.
Nice little multi Thanks for the cache simkat

We found the final location without too much difficulty but needed a little care finding the actual cache - even on what seemed to be a quiet afternoon there were a few muggles around. But eventually located the cache and only a few scratches as a souvenir! Nicely hidden.
Find #826 (Multi March #30)
Partly due to my self imposed Multi March challenge (31 multi caches in the 31 days of March) and because we had some time to kill we stopped by to have a look at this one on the way to a Tarbit charity fund raising dinner out that way. We worked our way through the stages on this very pleasant evening for a stroll. I'm wary of cache with coordinate projections (only because I haven't had much success with them) but this one worked out OK. We headed to our general GZ but made the find shortly afterwards. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited a TB. Thanks for the cache simkat. Just one more needed for Multi March!

Finally completed this multi. Last time I was here the GPS died and the replacement batteries didn't work either. It wasn't meant to be. This time round no one in the area at all so the cache was quickly found.
Out for a wander and distraction after work and what better way than with a cache or two.
A nice stroll around the block, straight forward clues and a quick find on the final container. All in good order.
Thanks for placing this cache simkat

With still a little time up our sleave before we had to be at a meeting, Sharkiefan and I had a go at this multi. It turned out to be one of the oddest multi's I had done in a while. The published co-ords don't lead you to the clue, but a playground, the first set of calculated co-ords didn't lead to the clue, but the middle of know where, thankfully the Shark was able to wort out what to do then. We did the projection and my GPS lead us straight to where we needed to be, at least that bit worked as expected and we picked this cache up at 7:51pm.
Thanks for the cache simkat. #3 multi for me this March

Found with LouiseAnn on our way to a meeting. This was quite a convoluted multi. The 1st set of coordinates we worked out were a bit odd but took us to the right area where we seduced the bits and pieces needed. Tftc

I'm collecting multis this month to qualify for a challenge cache and with a day off today I came looking.
All the waypoints worked without a hitch and I soon found myself extracting the cache from its bidding spot.
The log was very wet but I managed to carefully separate the pages and sign.
Thanks simkat for the cache.

Was enjoying a day off after a hectic weekend and what better way to spend a day off than caching. Came by as the storm clouds began to roll in across the city bring to an end a glorious Melbourne day.
Followed instructions and quickly found myself at the second WP. Took a moment to sit and watch the clouds roll in and listen to the thunder. Looks like a big storm! Made the final calculations and projection resulting in a quick find. Very inventive extraction tool Admired the cache container and after signing log replaced in its hiding place.
Appreciate the effort to creating this one. Thanks Simkat.

I had this on my list of local caches that I needed to pick up. Realised a little time was needed and had a 6pm appointment so left work to leave enough time. Didn't quite leave enough time and so came back later. Luckily I had a torch but had to be careful as someone in the house next to GZ was I think having a shower so kept the beam low! Took 10 minutes searching before I had the cache as I originally decided it must be another spot but clearly it wasn't. Log signed and cache returned. Walking to car and I heard a faint phone ringing.. luckily as it was mine and was still on the fence where I put it as I signed the logbook. It was my geochild so I now owe her a bag of chocolates. Thanks for the stroll and cache.
I found this cache today at 5:35pm as number 2 of 2 on the way home. I wasn't aware that there was a second multi nearby when I completed the first one so I continued on for a second cache and all came together as it should for the find. Our 99th instance of finding 2 caches in a day. 971 caches to go on our march to 2,000 multi finds. Thanks from D B-A.

Yay! Fun cache that Geokid found. Bit of walking which was great exercise for a Sunday afternoon. Great cache, thanks Simkat!
After attending an event on the top of the 1,000 steps on Mount Dandenong tonight I was inspired by geo_jas who had already found all of his 7 August souvenirs on the 1st day of the month so since it surprisingly stopped raining while on the way home I stopped in at this relatively new cache to try and nab my 2nd souvenir.
I found the first 2 clues nice and easily near where I parked so jumped back in the nice warm car to work out the next point since it was only 4 degrees. A short while later the next clue was found and a projection made.
It was now 9:45pm, cold and dark so not a muggle was seen the whole time I was there and a nice quick find was made at GZ and I headed to Hungry Jacks for some late supper before heading home.
Thanks simkat for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

GMelb had the day off work so we set off on a caching arvo hunting for some new ones published in our 10km zone. I am surprised this hasnt had a find since the 15th of July seeing it's a new cache but I guess the weather has been cold and wet. We did 3/4 of the cache as per the cache page instructions however when we got to the 3rd last stage, there wee 2 school groups competing against each other so we did a bit of reversing of the last instruction to find GZ.
TFTC simkat, an interesting multi to do and achieveable even if Muggles are at the 2nd last WP GJMMelb

After notching up #199 over the weekend KenneallyKrew and I were looking for an appropriate milestone cache. When this popped up yesterday within our closest 20 to home it was the obvious choice. Unfortunately both our notification set up failed to inform us sooner or we would have had a red hot go at a FTF. Congratulations to Trailrunning and thankyou Simkat for the close by cache.
With teamkiosc chasing this milestone! Nice little puzzle and love the fact it was so close to home for us!

Find #200
Older kids dropped at school and kinder so time to take the 3 year olds out geocaching. Geokids enjoyed the playground at the start whilst we worked out our answer for the next waypoint. Short walk and a little hunt and we then had the next clues in hand. Navigated our way to the next waypoint and then from there to our final destination. Geokids soon had the cache in hand and they were very excited....as were we!

Out with Sarejuergi -just the mums and our toddlers. Really enjoyed the variety of this multi; working out the co-ords, finding the next stage cache and then using the bearing to find the final. Neither Sarejuergi or I had navigated by a bearing before so we looked pretty silly standing out in the open fiddling with our GPSs until we figured it out. Love the 'sight and go' function of my new Garmin 62s! Once I stumbled across this function it was easy. The two 3 year olds were thrilled to make the final find. Nice, sturdy container. Thanks to Simkat for a really interesting first cache.
FTF with trailrunning, I was on route and he had arrived just before me and was trying another method, I was soon on the scene and we soon had the cache in hand. Thnaks for the cache.
2TF This area is very familiar for any eastern suburban street orienteers but I don't recall any events where I had to take a route across this park. I enjoyed the meander thanks simkat.
