Another slightly different hide. We looked all around the usual options before spotting the cache.Today seemed to be a good day for bike riding, so Mrs SKI put together a route that took us through a mixture of sightseeing and caching. And a good day it was as we rode along the river and a number of bike paths seeing the sights and collecting some trads, multis, puzzles a Virtual. We even managed a stop at a bakery for lunch and a coffee.Mrs SKI calculates we rode around 14km for the entire trip. There weren't a lot of muggles about and the sun was shining with a slight breeze.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sparra0907.**SKI Pair****
A quick find as Mr Riddell quickly spotted it on the ground in the open surrounded by vegetation.Signed, and rehidden on ground level, re tucked away in the vegetation. Found about 8 m south from where the GPSr indicated. So replaced as close as possible to where found.TFTC
On our tour across the land, we stopped here in Swan Hill for a quick walk and quickly found this one. Tftc MatzE346
It never was a micro. The container is still the original. Thanks anyway. Cheers .
Yep it's still there. I went out early this morning and checked on this cache and it's all fine and dandy. Cheers
We left a trackable that we picked up in Melbourne. Looking forward to seeing its travels. Tftc
Went out for a walk along this track to check on this cache today. It's still there and all fine and dandy. Just waiting to be found again. Cheers. The CO.
Beautiful walk along here. Lots of dnfs in this town so might move on back west. Loved the trail here
Thought I might know where it was but was looking in wrong direction. Saw another spot and there it was. Tftc in this beautiful part of the world.
TFTC jeeeey another find in Swan Hill. Wind is getting stronger today. Lovely walk along the river with the wind blowing a lot. Thanks for bringing me to this little walk and beautiful area when it’s not 45deg
Hi there Sparra0907.
We found your cache **"" Ellemor Trail.""** today.
The plan today was to find some more local Swan Hill Caches, and to give some previously un-logged DNF's another chance.
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache **16 metres** from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you Sparra0907 for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Just out doing some cache checking today. Found this cache in good condition with the log-book and contents all intact. Everything is all nice and dry. Cheers from the CO.
Found by Mary and David at 17:20. Here in Swan Hill for the Event tomorrow. What a beautiful day. We really enjoyed the walk and were also glad of the shade. A great tribute to one man's vision and work. Dropped off "James Says No" TB. Our thanks to Sparra0907.

Day two, in the very good company of Suscoe and the forecast of hot weather a caching course was charted close to the city. WOW five years sitting by the river - Well Done.
Satellites today had our GZ 7 metres north of where we found the cache.
Thanks 'Sparra0907' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern on this warm Spring day.
It got to 30 degrees and it was sunny, a light sprinkle of rain at times and sunny again as well as being windy.
We focused on caches that were not too far out of town and enjoyed finding a range of caches and hides.
It was a top day and we had a great time.
Thanks to Sparra0907 for this hide, we had an enjoyable walk down to the hide and wondered about the old steps down to the river.

Swan Hill Day 3, last day in town.
Today we headed south towards Lake Boga, the wind was blowing a gale & so cold. Not the best day to geocache. We returned to town for lunch then a final few to finish off our time help. Plenty left for when we visit again
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.

Up early and out for a walk. This cache came up when I was close to home, so I thought "why not?"
It was a lovely walk down here this morning! Much better day than yesterday.

Nice evening walk with my little girl our first time here. Lots of corella and rosellas in the trees. Great spot on the murray plus we found this cache grabbed a TB and left some swaps. TFTC
A quick find of a nice sized cache along this lovely scenic walking trail
A quick SL coz I was needing to be in Echuca for the 11th hour on this special day for our Fallen Soldiers. [I made it easily ]

A lovely walk to the cache with some of the trees in flower. Somebody was fishing nearby so we were quick. TFTC
A nice stroll to GZ here today. Our first full day in Swan Hill on holidays and finding a good variety of hides already! Great to see these areas being reinstated with local plants. Track was popular too with two families of cyclists going past while we were there. And we thought we saw a young wombat here too but it turned out to be a cat with no tail! Thx Sparra for another nice cache.
I had a few extra days off work so BettyBoo3747 and I decided to nip across to Swan Hill for a few caches. Been quite a while since we have been here and there are lots of new caches to do.
Did a few caches around Lake Boga in the morning, then a few in Swan Hill in the afternoon.
We parked at the southern end after doing Weather Cell, and walked the dogs along the trail.
They didn't even notice the deer we walked past!
Read a few more signs (we walked the other part of the trail yesterday)
Nice cache, good to see a regular.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14730. Day 3 of our few days staying at Lake Boga and caching around the area. Not such a successful day for us with the DNF tally starting to climb steadily upwards. I did however manage to get 15 finds. It was tough going with several long searches slowing us down. By 3.00pm we called it quits in frustration and headed back to Lake Boga to relax.
We parked at the southern end and took the geodogs and once across the road let them off-leash. We spied at least 8 dear little deer in an enclosure next to the track - a couple were almost white. I wonder if someone likes venison around here. It was a really pleasant stroll in the shady parts but very hot in the sunny parts. Made our way to GZ only to find a young kayaker on the trail who headed down the steps and back to his kayak, looking madly at his phone? We thought he must have been a cacher for sure but am not sure as there didn't seem to be a recent log in the log book. Added our names and headed back the way we came.
Thanks Sparra0907

Found with Cara81 while staying in Swan Hill on a trip to look at a bus. A nice walk in the early evening. TFTC
Nice stroll along the river to locate the cache. My geo-senses are on the ball today so it was a quick find. Picked up Travel Bug to help him on his way. TFTC

Up in Swan Hill for a geo event, tackling a few of the local hides.
A nice walk alongside the rivers edge. I suspected a likely GZ, but the count down to 0m happened a little earlier. nothing there but where I suspected was where I found the goods.
Think the overhead cover played funny buggers with my GPSr final count was 11m out with 6m accuracy.

A nice late afternoon walk along the river. Peaceful time of day. @1620.found our GZ and signed log before heading back to the car and checking out the passing train ...
At Swan Hill for the event. After a lovely stroll down the river bank we came to the GZ. Looked around where the GPS said it was but without any luck. TT used her geosenses and found it quickly after that. TFTC
In Swan Hill for meet. Sunday morning it's really cold and we are starting our caching adveture again. First stop, The Morton Bay Fig and now a nice walk down the river. My Geosenses led me right to the cache. Nice to see a larger size cache.
Coordinates out by about 14m by one of my calculations but geosense made the find fairly easy this time. Lovely location. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found after arriving in Swan Hill for the Lunch event tomorrow along with SnapHappy and The Empire. Previous logs were very helpful here, as we too, found the co-ords to be considerably out. Some Geosense should lead you to the hide though.
Thanks to Sparra0907 for another of your hides today.

On my way to the '6 Months to the event in Alexandra - Swan Hill' event! After bypassing Bendigo, I detoured through Terrick Terrick, then onto Pyramid Hill for the earthcache. Snap Happy chased an old Steam Train and I chased Snap Happy. We ended up miiiles away from caches and after heading back to the main road we ended up in Kerang. Heading into Swan Hill, we cruised around and picked up some caches before checking into our accommodation. Thanks for the cache, Sparra0907.

Out and about in Swan Hill again today and this was one of the caches we found. A nice stroll along the river bank. Train passed by as we were returning to the car. TFTC note to future finders coords out 11 m!
What a decent sized cache and very well hidden. In fact I nearly missed it as there was so much natural stuff hiding it. A bit of a poke around and I had cache in hand. Luckily it was too hot for many people to be walking the trail today so I had the place to myself to search in peace. TFTC
TFTC. Swan Hill hS not been a happy hunting ground this trip. A multi GZ calculated but not found. The Murray Walk mystery GZ calculated and not found. Great walk but came up empty.
After finding the cache outside the settlement I continued up the road to the continuation of the Murray Walk. This was a nice easy find .

Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll take every opportunity to grab a cache. So we grab some lunch and took a stroll along the trail to find and SL. There were a number of people out enjoyting the area on a lovely warm day.

GPS took us to the other side of the river for this one! As swimming across to it was never going to be an option we ignored her and made our own way back to a suitable parking spot. We then made the short walk to this one and the cache was quickly located.
Read the information boards on the way back - the aborigines certainly knew how to use the flora in the area, thanks.

Just dropped off a new travel bug into this cache that we picked up in Melbourne yesterday. Please keep it moving along. Cheers.

A beautiful day for a walk along the river bank and a nice quick find. My 5 yo geodaughter was very excited to find it first. I remember Mr Ellemor as a teacher at Swan Hill Primary school when I went there in the 80's. We went on an excursuon to his house to see his banana trees. TFTC
Decided one more look and found it. Took a car and slinky and left a car and bracelet.
On our first attempt our gps had us on the wrong side of the river. We did some exploring around the area and found this lovely walking track. Thanks
Found today while on holidays from northern NSW. A quick find while introducing our cousins to geocaching. Hopefully you will soon have some new geocachers in the area!! TNLNSL Thanks for the hunt today!!
I was getting close to Swan Hill central now !!
But there was another cache to find on the outskirts first
I was not looking forwards to the manic craziness of a busy towne after days out in the bush !!
So I was delighted to find this quiet trail betwixt river, rail and cop-shop
I strolled said trail and was impressed by the efforts and dedication of Mr Ellemor and his supporters to get this area restored to something like its former glory [^]
But there was, as always that lingering sadness that comes over me,
that "Why is re vegetation necessary ??
If only the preceding generations had taken more care, instead of embracing the concept of wholesale land clearing and thoughtless destruction !! [:o]
Alas !! The process continues, and for kilometres around every major towne is a band of bushland being wrecked by rubbish dumpers, dirt bikers and 4WD's.
As townes expand into these areas it is costing millions to restore these areas to half of what they were.
Ah well ... price of progress I guess
