T-Tech and I are travelling around South Island for 6 weeks
We stayed last night at Picton, and today, just for the fun of it, we are going on the ferry to Wellington and back [^] It was an all day adventure, with a 6am rise, 7am check-in at Picton, 8am departure, 11.30am arrival in Wellington, 12.30pm check-in, 1.30pm departure and 5pm arrival back in Picton A whole load of fun, amazing scenery, interesting people to chat to, and the chance to gain a cache or two in North Island [^]
In the hour we had to spare in Wellington we only had time to grab a couple of caches, and I was pretty keen to get this one, as I am certainly a sufferer of acute geocacheitis We tried to access it from the main road with no luck, but also figured we'd walk right past it on our way back to the boat, but the area is definitely not reachable, and we were not supposed to be using phones then anyway So alas, it is not a smiley

Couldn't get to it, I was told by a guy in a fluorescent vest that the site was earthquake-prone and he escorted me out. He was very nice about it, but nonetheless this is a difficult one to access at this time.
OCW GeoWench78 while walking/exploring Wellington from the Radiance of the Seas...took a bit to figure out how to get to GZ, quick find once there, nice hide...TFTC!
Found with AF BEE while on a great geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.
I came past here from a night in Wellington on the way to the Interislander. Thanks for thr cache.
Sunday 1230 straitsman sailing. Arrived early so temptation to "wander" too much. Few sunday strollers. Cache soon in hand
Yes I used to suffer geocachitis but have mellowed recently.
Has taken us to all sorts of places that otherwise we would never have visited. Tftc. Home to the mainland.

tried to get this on my way north but too busy so with a few hours to spare on my homeward trip catching the 2:30am ferry had time to look around their are fences all around GZ but a keen cacher suffering from Geocacheitis its just another challange
Great time to come on a weekend, first cache without muggles being around. Thanks CO and TFTC.
19/02/17 - Managed to get a sneaky retrieve on this one on a quiet Sunday. Previous log mentioned a DNF but we didn't see any workmen around on a sleepy sunday afternoon. Glad to log it and this one is getting a FP for a top notch diagnosis of Geocachitis
Tried to find it but there was a construction site and a guy told us to leave this place...
I have been in New Zealand alone 25 years ago.
This time i visited down under again with my wife.
When we were in Wellington we also visited this cache.
Thank you very much for this cache and many greetings from Germany.

Off the Golden Princess and we had planned to cache our way around town. The public holiday made this so much easier for us, as with no workmen around, we were free to search without the presence of muggles. I will probably always remember this cache, as I lost my hat in the area. Windy Wellington sure lived up to its name, I was actually hanging on to a traffic light at one point as I felt that I would have ended up flying away like my hat did.
Thanks for the fun.
Thanks for the fun.
Number 9 of 9 found around the area today whilst on a day trip caching off the beautiful Golden Princess and number 47 of 76 found in our 6 days caching around NZ.
As we approached we weren't sure if we would be able to get to GZ but as it was a public holiday there were no workmen within the fenced area so we wandered in and found after a short search. This one will be impossible to find if there are workmen here.
Thanks for the cache.
G'day from Australia!

G'day from Australia!
Initially weren't sure if we could get to the GZ after events on 14th Nov- resulting in barriers! But spurred on by recent activity- arrived at GZ - the kids to make an easy find!
On an eveningwalk we looked for our departure tomorrow.
We also found this box.
Thanks
We also found this box.
Thanks
A quick find while killing some time this morning. Thanks very much for the cache.
Down from palmy to watch Phoenix match, a guy mentioned there was also fireworks tonight. So might check that out too. TFTC, and for bring me here. Good spot to see vehicles drive on or off the ferry.
Found. today on my sister's 70th birthday. First cache in Wellington. Visiting from Calgary Canada on cruise ship Noordam.
3,5 weeks caching in Australia and New Zealand - what a life-time experience.
Thanks to all the owners to show me place I would not have found with travel books.

Hideeho Thanks for the cache Greetings from the USA, yes I have geocacheitis! Got a streak of almost two years come October 31 so I am good for the day but hoping to make it to 1000 days
Thank you for the cache, I didn't know you could walk down here. Dropped off cricket mad travel bug as this was the closest cache to the stadium! Proof that the Tb visited the stadium can be seen. Please can it be moved on to another cricket ground. Thank you! Ps i think i have class 2 geocachitis!
When you're waiting for your delayed ferry and are like awww I'll give it a crack... spend a solid 15 mins trying to look like a plonked and then you see the office worker pointing you in the right direction!! Thanks ladies
Ahah, nice find to start the day, trying to find all 76 public sculptures in Wellington. TFTC.
Love the cache title, describes me appropriately at times. Grabbing a few caches while heading back to the hotel. TFTC!
Logged the cache and forgot to drop the TB that wants to find New Zealand. If the TB is yours come and get it.
Stopped in a nearby carpark on a raining Saturday, good thing there was plenty of cover till we got to GZ. GPSr took us to a likely looking spot and shortly thereafter cache was in hand. Back under cover to sign the log then left as found. Thanks for the placement wascox.
Managed to get this one while wasting time waiting for a boat Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache wascox from Mr Cuddly Brick; this most exellent day the 2 September 2016. Whoop whoop cache #1432.

We have not been around this area before and enjoyed walking around the piers. TFTC
Think I qualify having just walked a number of bays on the south coast gathering clues for another geocache! Quick find, TFTC.
Our 3rd NZ cache found while waiting choir the ferry. Emily enjoyed confiding this one. Thanks for the distraction.
Last time we were in New Zealand and spend our holiday on the Northern Island – that was fantastic!
We landed in Wellington and from this great town we went through the island – we were near Mt. Taranaki, in the Tongariro Nationalpark, on Lake Taupo, in two Thermal Areas, in Rotorua, on Coromandel Peninsula, on the Bay of Islands, on the Ninety Mile Beach, in the Sand Dunes, on Cape Reinga and in Auckland.
All the time we visited there the main attractions – but we wanted to do our hobby (geocaching), too.
So we looked for the boxes next to the highways and on all the wonderful places of this very nice Island.
Here we could found the box very well, we say thanks to the owner and thanks for the cache.

Easy find. No muggles around on Sunday morning. We Spotted the cache on the wrong side of fence and had to walk for ages around to the other side to get to gz.

I was up in Wellington for the day for geocaching - I mean work!! Work!!
And we were having a team lunch this way from the office - and so as anyone would do, first thing after exiting office on way to luck? Turn GPS on to see what I can find on way back.
Not much left this way, after many a work (geocaching) trip! So was glad when I saw we would be headed this way! So made a plan of attack for after lunch.
And so when we were walking back, I told work colleages I'd take a slight detour, and slipped away, with one of them following me saying he wanted to watch!! Hahaha. So, we came on over, searched a few likely spots before spying. AHA! And the streak can continue.
I probably present with every symptom except for number 6. Trying but failing to give up geocaching - I haven't tried to give up!! Hahahahaha!!

Nobody around this part of town on a Sunday morning, so a quick and easy find. TFTC!
Dropped off this little trackable guy. He would like to see more of NZ so asked to be near ferries and trains. Cache is in a cool spot and is muggle free on a Sunday morning. TFTC.
TFTC!
When you spent most of the day on an airplane, landed and get to your hotel before midnight but you have a #GBD (Green Block Day) and rush out at just before midnight to fill it...you have Geocacheitis!!!
Thank you for this cache which helped to alleviate the symptoms of having to wait another year before I otherwise would have been able to fill it!!!
Also welcoming a number of TB's here to NZ from South Africa via Abu Dhabi ...

No luck with this one. A ferry was loading and there were cars and trucks all over the place. Will go back another day when it is a bit quieter.
Heading down this end of town for wine o'clock with my ex work colleagues after spending the previous few hours with my baby on his birthday. So its an all round great day with a few caches in the mix as well. I feel like I've been here before for a cache but maybe it was one further along towards town. I'll need to look back to make sure. TFTC #8299
Took us a second to figure out where we were heading. Once there it didn't take long to cure the geocacheitis needs new paper. TFTC
Not a soul around, found where I suspected, out expolring Wellington after an absence of 20 pus years.TFTC.
Walked straight up to it and found it while I'm a geocaching mission with my Wellington based family. Tftc
First fix of the day. I found a seasonal treat for the chocaholics, but it won't cure geocacheitis so I left that for someone more afflicted than I. TFTC
A very late log as i only just relaised that this hadn't been logged so i took the spprox. date with this one. Once i found where to go , i put my money on that and soon found myself going in the right direction and then locating the cache was sweet. dont remember many muggles around at thye time. thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
A visit to see Cache.Mike and his family this weekend. Time for a couple of cache finds before catching the train. Spotted this one from above before making the stealthy retrieval.
Thanks wascox for the cache.

Out for a long caching weekend with KiwiExplorer and JoshThePirate We did a lot of good caches, odd caches and some of them were just caches
But most important, we had a lot of fun and the weather was brilliant all the time! [^] Thanks for all the caches
Yes, yes, sometimes it gets a bit out of control but it isn't that bad
