Almost 18 years to the day after placing this cache, I have decided to archive it. I went to do maintenance on it this week and replaced the first WP that had been destroyed in the bushfire and went to check on the cache itself. Although the cache area was untouched by fire, the cache was missing, and tremendous damage had been done to the surrounding pagoda. Lots of the delicate ironstone platforms near the cache head been smashed and pushed off the cliff.
To protect this delicate landscape, I have decided not to replace the cache. Thanks to all how found the cache I hope you found this part of the country as inspiring as I did.

04-Feb-20
I am disabling this cache until I can determine if it has survived the bushfires. I was fighting fires in that area and the first waypoint was in the burnt area. Given it has hidden in a tree stump, it has probably not survived.
The area is still very dangerous with many unstable trees. It may be a while before I can check this.

After our Parisian trip in the first week of the Easter holidays, we (i and my husband Voske1967) went for 3 weeks to the other side of the world to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, food, landscapes and culture of Australia. Of course, geocaches were also searched for and found in Perth, Monkey Mia, Denham, Newman, Port Hedland, Darwin, Alice Springs, Sydney, ... . This trip downunder will stay with us for a long time! It was pretty hot in Australia for the autumn season

WOW! What a view! I probably shouldn't have come down here on my own, but I survived it. I have an amazing geomobile to help me get in and out of here.

At the first waypoint someone has signed a piece of the puzzle - did they think that was the cache? I would have when I started out - I had no clue what a multicache was back then. Haha. I didn't need to complete the puzzle to figure it out... you know I forgot to see what was on the other side! Haha.

Anyhow, I thoroughly enjoyed the search and climb around up there. The view was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! I love rocks. And nature. I wish this was my office!

After finding this geocache I joined a few geocachers at an event nearby. There I was told what your cache used to look like - that would have been sooooo cool to see out here. Very creative idea.

Thanks for the cache. I don't suppose you would mind if I showed your geocache on one of my youtube videos?

Completed the "Puzzle" late yesterday and headed down to GZish looking for a campsite. Found a very nice spot for the night, but shame there was only 10mins of daylight left to enjoy it! Cache quickly located in the morning. TFTC!!!!

02-Oct-16
Found with a bunch of cachers from the Hunter area while touring the area. We had a visit to the Glow Worm Tunnel, then a few choice spots with amazing views and landscapes. After we split up with the others we picked out a few high elevation caches to help qualify for a challenge.
After a DNF with Orrsome we met up with the others at waypoint one, just as they had finished solving the puzzle. We decided to go to the glow worms, which was a nice walk and was like looking at the stars, but during the day. On the way out we went down one track and car pooled the last little bit, then a short walk to this pagoda. Great views here.
Thanks for the multi puzzle, walk, views and cache!

02-Oct-16
After a night of camping near by we decided to grab some caches the next day. Im glad this one was on the list once we got to the first way point the Geo kids got right into working out the correct cords for the final. After a trip to the glow worm tunnels we headed back to find the cache. The kids were very excited to get to the cache and started searching the formation with lots of excitment when the find was made there were quit a few of us on this rock I wonder if it has ever been so populated before.
TFTC AlternateRoute this was a very fun adventure

A group of members of havoc had travelled down to camp together at nearby lake lyell, we had a great night around the camp fire and set of this morning to look at the glow worm tunnel, we stopped for this cache along the way, the kids really enjoyed doing the puzzle , I struggled not to help them and they got it solved, we then went to the tunnel and drove back t find this cache, after parking at the top of the hill we walked down and enjoyed the climb and the amazing view. Thanks for the cache AlternateRoute fav point awarded for the view and adventure tnln sl

Great cache! had a fun day with some of my geo friends finding geocaches TFTC

02-Oct-16
A long weekend away in the Greater Blue Mountains with friends and their families from the Hunter region. Whilst caching was not the only goal of the trip, we did manage to sneak plenty of them in, including some very rare 'hidden months' and even a 5/5 D:T combo.

This was the first cache of the second day of the trip, which we completed both to and from the Glow Worms. We initially stopped at WP1 and let the kids solve the field puzzle while we waited for some of our party to catch up with us (they missed a turn and ended up taking the long way to the Glow Worm road). It took every ounce of me to stop myself from 'helping them' HAHA We got there in the end though.

Once the rest of our party joined us, the now 4 cars of our party continued on to the glow worms (kids and adults alike loved it). We then returned to the area and although we had to leave a 2WD behind on the way, most of us got to within a few hundred metres of GZ before the road really declined. I took the Xtrail most of the way but the drop offs on the road got deeper and deeper so I decided rather than have to consider recovery options, I'd just walk the rest.

I think we managed to get maybe 15 people to GZ for this one including two kids at young as 3! A pretty impressive effort from them. A glorious spot out here. So glad of the adventure, and for filling in a space in the grid of hidden months. FP awarded for a fun adventure and some great photo opportunities. TFTC

First cache of the day. I had programmed the GPS to take us to the Glow Warm tunnel and we were following the_ garbageman. Unfortunately I didn’t realise there were two different routes to get there. So I wasn’t expecting the_ garbageman to turn off as the GPS was pointing straight ahead. Having missed the turn we continued on our way. This meant we were approx. 20 mins slower getting to the waypoint and by the time we did it had been solved. So we get the cords to final location from the others. After visiting the glow worm tunnel we stopped by to find the final. My little Impreza couldn’t keep up with the higher clearance vehicles so we had to hitch a lift with the others to get closer. After a short walk we arrived at the pagoda. After identifying where the hide would be I waited for the others to catch up to let them find it. TFTC

Reperio at 1205.

The family and I were headed out to the Glowworm tunnel today, and as we happened to be going right past this one, how could I refuse...especially being an old school cache at that. We stopped by WP1 on the way out, and once the puzzle was solved, we calculated GZ and decided that it would be best to leave it for on the return journey back out. We followed the track in to where things got a little more rockier, and while the wife was happy to stay with our youngest in the car, I took the eldest and we ventured off on foot for the last few hundred meters. We had a ball climbing over the various rocks to get to GZ, and the nice sized cache was soon found, with a pretty nice view to go with it. Very nice to have another 2002 cache ticked off the list.

A day out caching with Phlphotos for those hard to reach (and infrequently found) hiding spots. After having a few close calls on the narrow 4WD tracks to some caches, I suggested this one. I had solved the puzzle a couple of years ago, but was too tired to walk down where my old Commodore refused to go. Coincidently my X-trail wouldn't go much further either as the track became much too interesting to risk going down.
Since I had already solved the puzzle, I suggested Phil to have a quick go at it as well. Lucky for that as I noticed that the final WP had changed since I was here last!
A short walk later the cache was in hand. Thanks.

#559 Came out with Noodles22 on a caching expedition around the Newnes Plateau for some of the caches that don't get many visitors. This was one that Paul hadn't quite got to before but decided that I should have a go at the puzzle I got that out and we had different co-ordinates to what he had previously so we headed off to find it. Made our way passed where he got in the past. but stopped at a spot we could turn around. Then headed off on foot. Made our way around until we headed of to find the cache. As usual I was a bit slower getting through the scrub than Paul and he got to GZ first but I came from a different direction and spotted it straight away. We signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks AlternateRoute for the cache.

We are spending a week in the Lithgow area for the September School holidays, staying at the Lithgow Caravan Park. Today we were heading out to the glow worm tunnel, and visiting a few caches along the way. This was our 2nd find of the day, 26th find of the holiday.

Unfortunately we had a little geo disaster when leaving from our previous cache stop. When I was closing the driver's door I failed to notice that the Garmin 62s had fallen between the door & car, and was crushed when the door was closed. Display was shattered and unusable. Luckily, being keen geocachers, we carry a second "emergency" GPSr (Lowrance Sierra) which was pre-loaded with all the local caches. Not as good as the Garmin, but we were grateful to be able to "keep on caching".

Found WP1 and proceeded to solve "the puzzle". Unfortunately there was a small "component" of the puzzle missing, but not a vital component and we soon had the info we needed to locate final GZ. Drove the 4X4 down close to GZ, and then walked the short distance to final GZ. After a bit of a scramble geoson#1 spotted the hide, and we had CIH. TNLNSL.

And what a splendid office it turned out to be. I wish my office was as good. Thanks AlternateRoute for the fun little multi, and the best office we have ever seen.

#3,284

Bikerbuddy had found this one a few days earlier with his children, so he came prepared with a folder for Canary & me to use. He handed it over, then stood back to film our efforts searching for the waypoint, then compiling the waypoint.

Once we knew where we were headed too, we set off, stopping only to find a traditional cache on the way.

Nice spot for a cache, we really enjoyed this one. Thanks Smile

The fifth of nine with bikerbuddy and Toriaz.

Another old multi cache found.

A truly great spot to stand on top of the world.

I'd love an office like this- great cache. Thanks

#2858- The family was on our way to the Glow Worm tunnel, with a bit of caching along the way thrown in. Multi's are my favourite kind of cache so we decided to stop for this one- an interesting name too, given the location.
We found waypoint easily enough and completed the puzzle, but were a bit concerned when we realised something was missing. Turned out we did not need it anyway. Off the to final. The X- trail was doing very well until some of the parts of the trail became very pitted. In trying to avoid them, I drove too close to some branches and ended up with three huge scratches, the length of the drivers side. Bugger! Not happy, but all my fault. A little further on we decided to leave the car, just over 300 metres from the cache- I was determined I was not going to let this multi slip by me. We bush bashed over and climbed to make the find. Thoroughly enjoyed this one, (except the scratch). The rock formations here are amazing. I just wish this could be my 'day at the office'. A favourite from me. Thanks.

This was a great cache to do on our day to the Glow Worm Tunnel. It was the main cache I wanted to find. In the past I used to ride out to the Glow Worm Tunnel and back regularly from Lithgow. Little did I know before the days of caching that I was riding past the waypoint for a cache (something I knew nothing of at that time) that I would one day find.

I brought a red clip folder along on the trip, as suggested, to sort out WP1. I was lucky to still have it. On the way out we did the Northern Boundary cache, and I decided to get some GoPro footage. I got the camera out the back of the car, but in my preoccupation with mounting it I forgot I'd left the back of the car open when I drove off. The clip folder was one of the things that ended up on the road. We went back and collected the few things that dropped from the car before we drove to the waypoint for this one.

As it turned out, the folder did make it easier to sort out WP1, and then we were off down the road in search of this cache. We were doing okay until the road dipped down and there happened to be a large rock which just grazed the underside of the car. We backed the car up, moved the rock out the way, but we didn't get much further before we had to park the car and walk the rest of the way.

When we got to the location we were treated with some of the great views that are to be had in this part of the world. We even managed to get the WaywardWoman up to the cache spot, although getting her back down was a little trickier. She has issues with her knee that are plaguing her.

Thanks for bringing us out here. A favourite from me.

I have checked the first WP and it is safe. The cache is protected from fire by its position.
The cache can now come back on line.

20-Oct-13
Disabling to fire threat has passed and I can check the cache.

After solving the puzzle I managed to write down the coordinates incorrectly so we had a short walk into the bush and then made a return trip to redo the puzzle. The second time we found GZ that matched the description and other cacher's logs. A great location. TFTC.

Dropped off TB

21-Oct-12
My first multi with CJ. This was fun and very creative. A little rough getting to the final coordinates. The wind was very strong and made it a little tricky. However the views were stunning. A very worthwhile cache. TFTC

26-Aug-12
After a cool night at Newnes Plateau, we went for this multi cache. After having solved the puzzle, we took the Geomobile with attached Geocampertrailer down the track towards the final waypoint. Some jumping and searching around the pagoda soon saw us with the cache in hand. Left GC Geocahers's World.

1340 Glad that the coordinates for the GZ hadn't been put in so many years ago, as it was a nice little walk between certain caches here. Checked out the rain collecting gauge on the way. Had parked a little further away, so as not to rip the bottom out of the Metro.
Left ziploc bag, and "Correct Site Marke" - surgical marking pen.
Through: Coins - 3Bros, AustLighthouse, Iconic Bridges, B2B ingot, Baa, Neigh and Oink, SummerLovin521 TB, Bear Bait TB, and Penny Penguin TB, and trackable shirt.

Out for a morning of caching with Hoojar, Hoogies & Team Webguy before the F.Y.A.O.A.L Event. This one has been on the "to-do" list for a while but we always seem to be short of time while passing through this way. I would have liked to have seen the original office, but enjoyed the find just the same.

Thanks AlternateRoute.

11-Aug-12
We did this cache five years ago when we were out here for the first FYAOAL event. Shame this one is a bit truncated now but it's still a good one. We tagged along with Tronador whilst she completed this one and took the opportunity to pick up a TB here.

11-Aug-12
I wonder how many people went right by this GZ on the weekend and had no idea Wink

It is a shame that 'the office' is no longer there, it'd sure beat this office that I am sitting in now.

Find with Hoogies and Wingnut whilst on a morning run around these parts.

Cheers

11-Aug-12
Found with Hoojar and Wingnut with Team Webguy watching on. A nice way idea at WP1 and a fantastic location at GZ. Great views and a good multi to start to morning with. TFTC.

11-Aug-12
A nice little multi. Wpt 1 was easily found but I must say I'm a little slow and lady Altaire had the required info in minutes. My effort consisted of rearranging the given objects into meaningless bundles. Altaire had previously done this cache and told me that now it was only a 2 stage but when they did it, it was a three stage. Too bad the second waypoint has been removed because it sounded like heaps of fun. Off to GZ and some more stunning views. The nicely hidden cache was found. I enjoyed this cache with it's twist. I took the NZ kiwi TB but couldn't see any Wombat TB in the cache. Altaire took the Donkey TB. Thanks for a well put together cache.

05-Feb-12
Fantastic views!
Cache is relatively easy to find. Driving to it is still OK regardless of the rainfalls (4X4).
We visited it with two other geoclans and by coincidence we all had trackables in the form of animal toys. So now there must be a whole zoo in there! We even had troubles closing the lid =)
Would be great fun to find it with kids!

05-Feb-12
Found it on our 4WD trip with The Hancock Clan and Mad Russians.
TFTC!

05-Feb-12
Found this one in the company of a few other caching friends after several hours of throwing our cars around the local tracks first. Easily worked out the puzzle and then it was off to GZ for a nice 'safe' drive along the rocky track that was a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot less slippery than some of the others we'd experienced today!

Super location for the cache, and we soaked up some of the stunning views before heading back up the track to do the glow worm tunnel.

Left a couple of travel bugs that we needed a big cache like this to fit them into!

Cheers,

The Hancock Clan

Find #1217 - 6 for today. Found on 28/01/12 6:46 PM
What a top cache, well recommended. WP1 located quickly, and had to take the contents back to the car to solve the puzzle. Eventually the final coords were revealed and back to the land cruiser to drive to GZ. Got to the vicinity of GZ and was taken back by the view. Cache was located after a brief search. Thanks for bringing me here. TNSLLN

17-Dec-11
Nice spot for a cache. The whole family had fun with this one. Especially the first part.

10-Oct-11
I have reset the co-ords hidden at the 1st waypoint to point directly to the cache. "The Office" part of the cache is now by-passed.

05-Sep-11
I'm going to put this on the maintenance list until I can fix/replace/eliminate WP2.
The cache is still intact, you can try it if you like and log it after it goes back on-line, but be aware you might need a tool kit to get the information at WP2.

04-Sep-11
This unusual cache was found today with pjmpjm and cousin Drew. Of course we made it more difficult than it needed to be, but the final destination was reached and the cache found without any drama.
The cache is safe and sound in it's hidey spot and after signing the log we left a Yowie, Olympic pin and my signature Pathtag.
At this stage you will need some tools to access the info at WP2, that it without breaking it! Such a shame that the office was caught in a bush fire, it would have been something to see in it's full glory. We were lucky that pjmpjm kept a small tool box in the back of the Geoburu otherwise we would never have managed to get the info to the last destination.
Still the views are amazing and well worth the trip. Thanks for a memorable cache.

04-Sep-11
What an adventure!

Found together with rogerw3 and Cousin Drew after quite a few hiccups and puzzlements, after which we enjoyed really incredible views from GZ.

WP1 was relatively easy. Cousin Drew actually found it without a GPSr . . . and rogerw3 quickly completed the necessary 'task' set by the CO.

WP2 was where we nearly gave up. What on earth was this? Sure, we took a photo, but what where we really supposed to do in order to derive some usable coordinates? At the point of returning to the GeoBuru2 in frustration and despair, we decided that maybe this one really did require formal 'tools' that most people don't have right at hand. We did in fact have such tools in our vehicle, and rogerw3 put them to good use in eventually extracting the GZ coords from the only possible 'thing' anywhere near the obvious WP2 burned-out feature.

GZ was fairly easy to find once we realised that we just had to keep following the fire trail and that there was no need to descend the impossible cliffs. And the final panoramas were truly spectacular.

Largish container was found to be in good shape and everything was dry. TNLNSL.

We were amazed that we were eventually able to find this one, because of our confusion at WP2. But the final location made up for everything.

Many thanks to AlternateRoute.

The office was indeed burnt and the waypoint destroyed. I have left the ruins there for the moment and replaced the waypoint with a less elaborate one.
The final WP was checked and is intact.

27-Sep-10
Ah yes, a bushfire or controlled burn in the area would certainly play havoc with "The Office".
The Office was set up years ago and a long term artistic statement about the speed at which technology was changing, but also about the resiliance of nature. I had hoped the eventually the bush would completely overgrow the office, but it seems it might have been burned instead.
I will check out the area shortly and possibly replace WP2. With luck it will be back up for the long weekend.

26-Sep-10
Wow, everything started well and we were off to stage 2 but unfortunately the area has been controlled burnt not long ago. Found what I think were the remains of what we were after and will send a pic of it...
Lunch at stage 2 was magnificient. great views.

Found by Forest Rovers @ Dragon Skin 2009

Urban caches are a bit of fun, but a proper one like this will give you a whole new level of enthusiasm.

Absolutely the best cache I / we have done yet - creative, thought-provoking, funny, simply amazing (this is starting to sound like a movie review...)

Photos will be up when Bobo sends them over from his phone.

Special thanks to Sonia the Kluger, who made the trip without a fuss, even though she wasn't wearing all-terrains.

Altered logging requirements slightly to make it mandatory to send me a photo of the second waypoint.

2009-01-09 Found by edmil & maddie. Well done on a great multicache. The end result was spectacular. We were driving down to check out the glow worm tunnel when this one popped up on the radar. I thought what the? - a multi out here in the wilderness. First there's micros by the dozen now a multi. Anyway we decided to at least check out the first waypoint. Excellent start to multi. Back at the 4x4 the first waypoint was nutted out; it took a couple of attempts - damn wind - but in spite of the elemental challenge it was soon done and dusted. we put the new co-ords into the GPS but then decided we would hit the GW tunnel first. On the way back the GPS just kept nudging us towards waypoint 2 So we took off and decided to give it a go. Track, while a bit rough in parts was not too challenging. Waypoint 2 what can I say brilliant!, I would just love to set mine up out there and do a good days work. Coords for waypoint 3 into the GPS and we were off. We drove a bit and walked a bit and soon had the cache in hand. The log was signed and the cache returned to its hide. No swap was made. We sat and admired the ew before returning to the car. Thanks for such a memorable multicache for us it's up there with the best of them and will be etched into our memories. The only downside was no charged camera with me damn damn damn.

07-Jan-09
Enjoyed the fun of this cache. Could'nt get my geokid off the phone though - he had to ring all his friends! Amazing views from GZ - those canyons look inviting - will have to come back to explore. Took frog magnet - left badge and disc. Will upload some photos tomorrow. Thanks for the adventure!

Our first multi-cache and it was a success, lots of fun and not too hard, thankyou ! ! !

10-Nov-08
Well here we where out in the newnes forest in the middle of the night and decided to look at this multi. Why more people have not done this cache is beyond me as it is a simple straight forward multi that even in dark of night with only the moon light shinning over the valley the views where grand and an echo that sounded around the area.
Thanks for taking us out here and if you are thinking of visiting the area do so and you will be rewarded.
JABs.

10-Nov-08
Came into the Office on this nice cool night with the moon almost full and not a cloud in sight. WP1 was found and the required things done on the bonnet of the Pajero. Off in search of WP2 which was located with no problems. On arriving at GZ, after a short walk, we were amazed at the views that were before us. Even on this moonlit night the whole valley was glowing and could be seen clearly. After the cache duties were done JABs let out the first call and the echo bounced around the valley, the likes of which i've never heard before. Then, after a few more echoes were produced, it was off to the next spot on our night drive.

Thanks AlternateRoute for showing us this fantastic spot.

Really enjoyed this cache- WP1 was a good puzzle then off to the other WPs. The office in the bush was quite a suprise. Drove to WP3 in the Forester but probably wasn't such a good idea- probably just as easy to walk- but nonetheless we made it. Awesome rock formations nearby- would be great if this was my office. Thanks for an enjoyable cache.

absolute cracker .loved the office , if i had a longer lead i would get some power for you .

great wp1 's and he view at gz is amazing.

Great cache with nicely varied waypoints. WP2 was a bit of a surprise and seems to be a tie at the moment. The final has the most spectacular views - it requires a bit of care both for yourself and the surrounding.

13-Oct-07
After a few wrong turns due to city navigator that wants to take you around the world we finally got on track. Grand geo kiddies where amazed to find such a thing in the bush. Wanted to know if you had internet connection. Thanks for a good multi. Some times they are just to hard.

01-Oct-07
Redrew co-ords at one WP as they were fading. Replaced cache container.

We were drifting around the area picking up a few caches before popping into FYAOAL that evening. We'd driven past the turn off to WP1 183 times (but who's counting) - always seemingly on some mission or other which to now had not included this particular cache. Sometimes it's like that.

WP1 was found, Lady Altaire did her stuff (she's a whiz at these) and thence we wended our way along the dusty track to the next stage. We hadn't checked the gallery for this cache so WP2 was indeed a little surprise. As previously mentioned the co-ordinates could possibly do with a re-fresh but aren't too bad really. We were pretty confident with what we'd deciphered and the proof was in the pagoda.

Yet another stonily towered vista awaits at GZ but one tires not of these. The plastic cache container though well enough sheltered nevertheless is growing weary. A piece has cracked away but contents were still dry. Bandaided up with our trusty duct tape so it should be OK for a brief moment in time.

Cache duties were completed and the scenery contemplated. A very nice spot! Made no swaps.

Decided it was worth the detour on our way to the Glow Worm Tunnels. Found WP1 really easy but decided to press on to the tunnels and go on to WP2 on our return trip. On the way back we found WP2 quite quickly (note-waypoints at WP2 might need 'refreshing' as they are starting to fade a little and we didn't have a marker with us) and walked further on to WP3 which we found with no trouble just on dark. A most enjoyable multi - Thanks heaps AlternateRoute.

Spent the day before abseiling near the Glow Worm Tunnel and spent the night cold and wet at the nearby camping area. Loved the second WP! Totally unexpected!! Great views at the end.

First trip here ex WA - loved it!

The number of times we have driven past this first WP and said, another time, if I had known how easy it would be, we would have done it ages ago. But then, those times we did not have a 4WD to transport us around.

We stopped here and had some late lunch whilst the boy did the easy puzzle and after lunch, we went to the office, clocked in, got the final co-ords and drove to the final location which is rather nice!

Found the cache easily, bursting at the seams. Swapped nothing, signed the log, took some photos and headed off to the C tree to confirm the magic info needed for that cache.

Very nice spot for a cache!

When I logged in to write this up, imagine my surpise to see another log for the same day!

Cheers

This was a great cache.

As it turns out, Webbie was here only 2 hours before us. I asume they were your tyre tracks!

Like others, we were puzzled at first, but then we continued on with the help of a more up to date map (makes life so much easier) than that in my GPS and we soon located the remaining waypoints.

Novel concept and lovely final location. More secluded and hence more enjoyable than other areas like this.

We were up here for the weekend with the 4WD club for a camp dedicated solely to the art of camp oven cooking. A cache enforced some exercise!!

TNLN.

Thanks AlternateRoute

A multi with a novel theme that is not too complicated - very good. The final location (which is not too far from the second location) is fabulous. Very interesting rock formations which we have become more familiar with during our other excursions on the Newnes plateau but still has us in awe with their intricate shapes. After finding the cache ventured on down the path and admired even more formations. Took game and left cable ties. Thanks alternate route.Big GrinBig Grin

Now back in the car and we will venture to the glow worm cave.

This cache is the best one we have done yet. It was a lovely way to spend an hour or two or three or what ever, up on the plateau. This is one of those few locations we had not yet been to, but had often said we must go down there next time, and what a delight it was. WP1 was quickly found and solved as hint given in the description made this a snack to decode since ours is transparent. WP2 had all of us... we need say no more. The net was dead slow but who cares. Phoned for location of WP3 and we were on our way. WP3 was located quite easily but we really could not get enough of the view. Took lots of photo's looked around some more at the view took some more photo's. Oh back to the cache, filed in the log book etc.
Took small stapler
Left camp cutlery set and game

My plans for today were to finish off one in the area and do a couple more, needless to say the plans got waylaid a bit so with a late start I only did this cache and then drove out to the end of the Glow Worm Tunnel road. Great cache AlternateRoute, the puzzle went together quickly and the cachemobile had no problems with the terrain to the office or the end of the road. swapped out a letteropener and left a pig in its place. Grabbed the TB to move it along.

Did a cache maintenance run to replace the wet puzzl at WP1.
Walked to the cache site since the new geo-mobile is not 4WD and placed the 4X4 travel bug in the cache.

Great area with spectacular views. Cache is in a great spot.

WP1 was awol. Found it about 25 metres from where it was supposed to be, just lying on the ground. Lid was still on but container was full of water and unfortunately so was the plastic bag containing the puzzle pieces. With a few problems we got the puzzle together, all soggy and broken. This will probably need to be replaced although it may dry ok. Left a piece of paper with coordinaes to WP2 in the container jic someone comes before puzzle is checked. Replaced container to where I presume it should have been and wrapped it in a plastic bag.

WP2 was interesting to see. Made a few calls (glad I'm not paying the bill) and had a game.

Took : Post it notes
Left : Stapler

Thanks

Did this one with Team Horizons. Not much more to say about WP1 that Team Horizons hasn't already said. Watched while everyone played games and made calls at WP2. Great setup. Excellent views from GZ. Fantastic Cache!

Took: Torch
Left: Keyring and Pencil

Thanks AlternateRoute!

Just finished a nice mid week canyon and decided it was time for a bit of geocaching. WP 2 was very impressive and so was the final cache spot. Might even investigate some canyons out this way. Well done alternate route.

Our first multi-cache. Lot's of fun! We didn't have a map so we basically followed the GPS, which as it turned out led us astray a bit! We ended up on the wrong ridge so went all the way back and tried again. Finally found first way point, took our time with the puzzle.

Two in our team had been down that track many a time before... never would have guessed what was just out of sight! Nice view at GZ. Thanks for all the effort you put in to this AlternateRoute!

No-one had been here for a while, so I thought a maintenance visit was in order. (Then it gets logged the next day!)

Team Raider (Mike) whilst travelling with some friends on a whirlwind tour of the Spanish Stairs and other regions logged this cache in the presence of "Geo Rovers".

A great multi, loved the challenge at WP1 and the Office is brilliant.... Smile Grabbed a dial tone and off the GZ for the final prize...

What an amazing view...

A must enjoyed cache, made better by the company of great friends (Simon, Shane, Jon and Maya)

Thanks again...

Took: Photos of the great view...

I was up on the plateau for some maintenance & caching with Swampgecko, and this one was on my to do list. While Swampy was completing his to do list I did my maintenance and started on this. WP1 was a lot of fun. I managed to get the clue and take a few photos when I heard a familiar voice coming over the 2way. Time to hide WP1 and wait for Swampy. The look on his face as he opened WP1 was priceless.

We now teamed up for the rest of the quest so it was off to WP2. What a surprise it was to see *that* out there. The final did not disappoint either and has a location to rival our Obscured By Clouds.

[^] This is a great cache and should be on every cachers must do list. [^]

Well done Alternate Route from The Ginger Loon.

We took mini-mini rat on her first caching adventure today and what fun we had. The new born has great caching potential, she single handedly put the puzzle together, typed up a memo for sister and then pointed us in the direction of GZ. Unfortunately mini-mini couldn't manage the climb to the stash so mini rat happily obliged. Swapped this for that and then hung around to enjoy the views. Thanks Alternate for a fun day.

Great cache. Tried to phone a friend, but couldn't get a line. Views from the final spot were magnificent. Stayed to watch the sunset over a cuppa - end of a great day.

Found the locations easily although the puzzle took a few minutes to do. Was side tracked by a lost person and his daughter who were looking for a restaurant in the bush, helped them out then off we went to find the office. Found the office although I think you may need a new secretary as she was no where to be found. So, we made a phone call and went off to find the cache. Great Views !! Took Mini Stapler and Staples and left Mini Torch and Post Card of 'The Dish'. One of the best cache's we have done, Thanx Alternate Route.

Awesome cache!
Had great fun with this one on the way back from a day's canyoning.
Very worthy of an EcoTeam Bag, but unfortunately we had none left.

Great work AlternateRoute!

Great fun solving the puzzle which led us to a strange installation in the bush. The final location had lots of very interesting rock formations and a nicely stocked cache as well. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev
