I thought that I would update the page listing adding the ULTIMATE pyramid to the list. Groundspeak is scheduled to archive all locationless caches on 1/1/06 (in about 15 minutes) so I thought this would be the fitting tribute to end this cache series! Checkout the cache listing and you will see a photo of the great Khufu Pyramid! Thanks to everyone who have added all of the pyramids from all over the world! Too bad this had to end - send your complaints to [email protected]! Have a happy 2006! -40-

Moody Gardens, in Galveston Texas began in 1980, the purpose was to begina hippotherapy riding program for people with head injuries. It is now one of the premier eduction/recreational facilities in the southwest. It grew from that to a convention center with a 303 room hotel, a beach with sand from Florida, the Learning Place, a production area, Rain Forest Pyramid with an Imax theater, the Discovery Pyramid, and the 1.5 million gallon Aquarium. A great place to take the kids. We enjoyed our time there so much. But come early and plan to stay awhile.

Great Place, i'd found during the hunt to a very difficult cache. Its the grave of a count.

Well this is one large out of place Pyramid but how fitting for this cache!

SPAZ told me about this one when I was planning a trip to Vegas. She has brought many locationless caches to my attention!!!

This is the Luxor Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip. I spent a week there with some girlfriends and we has a blast.... Of course SPAZ played her usual " surprize " tricks and showed up just before we were headed to the Celine Concert...

Had to do this one with SPAZ and her twin Lady D as she was the one who put me on to it...

The place is incredible, you have to come see this thing. It has a tour of King Tuts tomb inside, it has spynx and many other locationless caches....

Awesome location!!! Check it out _ Vegas, you gotta see it...

Thanks SPAZ for the heads up - Enjoyed caching the Vegas strip with you and Lady D _ How cool is that?

Smiles

Pooh Bear, SPAZ and Lady D......

06-Nov-05
On my way to Halifax from Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, I noticed these workers installing a large statue of Glooscap, a great sprit chief of the Mi'kmaq peoples at the construction site for their new Interpretive Center on the Millbrook First Nation Reserve. This is located just outside Truro, Nova Scotia. I'm sure there will be articles published shortly upon completion of the fiberglass statue and pyramid shaped center and I will include when available.
Gloosecap Interpretive Center To Become Latest Attraction At Power Center - see http://www.municipalsuppliers.com/news_mail.asp?ID=35730

The Glooscap Heritage and Visitors Information Center see http://www.centralnovascotia.com/members/heritagecentre/

Local artist Bruce Wood has been commissioned to sculpt the statue, working with native artist David Brooks. They have chosen to construct it out of bonded bronze/cold cast, industrial epoxy, and rebar and will be supported by an I-beam set in concrete. The completed bronze statue will have a constantly burning light at the end of a torch held by Glooscap.

Will add Pictures of Power Center ( pyramid shaped ) went it is completed ( still under construction ) view link for view. Hopefully on next run through should be completed.

This las vegas pyramid predates the luxor by a decade or more.

04-Nov-05
Have known these were here but never actually visited them.
They were built as an interpretation centre (I think) close to the area where the first white man came ashore in Tasmania.
The area was handed back to decendants of the original owners and is now Aboriginal land. This photo was taken from the only vantage point where white fellas are allowed.

03-Nov-05
Found this one on a playground.

03-Nov-05

31-Oct-05
A pyramid at an Egyptian-themed temple is surely out of place in the heart of high-tech Silicon Valley! This is a new addition to the Rosicrucian Museum and as you can see it features this unsuaual and eye-catching marble pyramid.

29-Oct-05
Found in Salzburg, in the square outside the main cathedral ... some workmen came and were erecting it before our eyes. It has been put up to protect a statue.

29-Oct-05

Welcome to the Library of the University of St. Gallen

25-Oct-05
The townsfolk elected to name the town Ames in the hopes that the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), backed by Oakes and Oliver Ames, would build through town. They didn’t. The UPRR built in Boone, IA.) Anyway, this monument was erected in 1882 to honor the financial backers of the UPRR. I believe the monument is technically on UPRR property, but the public is obviously welcome to visit and enjoy.

The view is amazing. Looking toward the interstate you can see the odd and unusual granite structures of Vedauwoo Glen, Turtle Rock, and Green Mountain. Looking south you can see the Laramie Mountains of Colorado. Just north of the monument is a cemetery and several foundations. These may or may not be associated with an old railroad town, named Sherman. Several pipelines and an aqueduct pass through the area, but I believe we were able to identify the old railway right-of-way that ran through Sherman, past the monument.

25-Oct-05

I hope this is not stretching the limits tooo far. This is a gravestone. I think this pyramid is a little out of place. I have never seen a pyramid gravestone before. This is in the Laramie Wyoming cemetery.

As far as I could see, there are no other photos of this pyramid in this locationless cache. There is another pyramid at this general location. I also know of one other, maybe 2 other pyramids in this area, if anyone in Arizona wants this information. Please contact me.

Quite cool pyramid, even has its own capstone.

This monument is in a cemetery where i went to find a cache near Auburn Indiana

I found this (3-sided !!!) Pyramid in St. Pölten (Austria) near the Hotel "Metropol". It´s a glass construction and covers a part of the subterranean garage.
In the background of the foto you can see the front of the hotel. The foto was taken today early in the morning therefore on the left margin of the picture you can see one of the passengers hurrying to work. I could not avoid this fact so I define it as ´work of art´ Big Grin
Happy Caching

The Pyramids of Group Health Cooperative
Seattle, Washington

These pyramids are outside of the Group Health medical facility in the Capitol Hill neighborhood (incidentally, Capitol Hill is where I was born). These pyramids were part of a remodeling project that was completed about a decade ago, and have caught my eye ever since then. I was glad to find a 'home' for them in this cache entry! Thanks very much for maintaining this interesting locationless cache opportunity for the past three years.

This Piramid was originally designed to be in the middle of a small shopping center. For some times it was the home of a nice "Ice Cream" store, but now noone is using it.
The piramid is made of a few meters of concrete at the bottom and glasses up to the top. At the top there is a sign indicating the name of the center.
