Targeted this one as its a Letterbox and not many of those around. Interesting placement but easy find. Not the best one to do in the morning with all the few. Feet are wet on the long grass. TFTC and SL at 8:30am.
A family trip to Tasmania during the school holidays since I was the only one who had ever been here and that was only 2 days in Hobart. So there will be a bit more exploration this time since we flew to Launceston instead for the start of the trip. A lot of trees down on the way in here. Even once at GZ a quarter of the tree at GZ was also split and fallen down on the ground but cache is all OK. Thanks Ryan00 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Find# 12058Nice quick find despite the cache tree splitting in half. The cache is still hanging in there. We are on a two-week driving g tour of Tassie. We're based in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney NSW.TFTC Ryan00
Quick find today and all good with cache. Nice park. Love the Tassie TigerTasmania trip 2024 with Kittykatch. Working to get all states and Territories in a year and counties. First visit to Tassie so excited to experience everything. Thanks for getting me out and about Ryan00
TasmaniaJoolay and I have travelled to Tasmania on a caching holiday. We are hoping to see as much as we can in four days and find a bunch of caches. A short walk across the park to find a letterbox cache. All good with the hide. Thanks for the hide Ryan00
Always nice to find different cache types so after the CITO nearby we wandered over to collect this one. TFTC

Six months ago on a very warm Brisbane day, Chamad found cheap return flights to Launceston. So with little thought, but 6 months to plan, the flights were booked - for a whirlwind 3 day weekend (travel time included). This was day one with the arrival in Launceston about 3pm. Enough time to get some caches before an event dinner and then get some more caches until late into the night. This was an effort in the dark but we got there.
A while back, jetstar had flights to Launceston from Brisbane for $150 return. What a great opportunity to grab a new state, some new caches and meet some new people. Oh there was one other purpose, North Tassie. My caching buddy feels the cold so was a little sceptical to the timing and had second thoughts to the idea when I mentioned it, however flights were booked and the weekend finally arrived. Off the plane and over to get the car, all sorted and straight up to North Tassie. Job done I can relax now, that cache has just filled my Jasmer and my Ausmer. From there it was time to grab a couple more before checking into the room and then off to tonight's event. After the event my buddy and I decided to grab a few more caches around town and what a perfect time it was. There was nobody around and the street parking was easy. We found a park for this one and with torch light searching the area, we made our way to the site. After some misdirection we found the cache tucked away from first glances. We signed the log and replaced the cache a found and then called it a night.
This is my first cache in Tasmania. It was a nice walk along the tracks through the brisk air.The cache was found easily enough once at GZ. The log was damp but I was able to sign it anyway. TFTC.This cache helps with a challenge in Queensland.
Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!
So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.
Todays adventure started with a sunrise walk around The Nut in Stanley before a road trip to Launceston via some country stops.
I was looking to add a letterbox to my haul and since there was an ad lab point here I decided to explore and nab this one.
Thanks Ryan00 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Must have looked very sus looking for this one lol . Quick and easy find though. Log is wet. Managed to sign, but it needs a new log TFTC
OzHockeyChick shouted me a return flight to Launceston for my birthday. So grateful for this awesome gift and so very pleased to have her with me to celebrate. We got diverted to Hobart which definitely wasn't part of our tight schedule. Once we arrived in our original destination, we picked up the car and were on our way.OHC had already found this one but as we were here for an ad lab, I took the opportunity to add a letterbox to my Tassie haul. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
A quick walk around this park to grab a couple of caches before I head home.

I’m in Launceston for a week-long geocaching trip with some other New Zealand cachers. We spent a few days in Hobart, and then we have a few days in Launceston. This is day 6 of our trip - we are heading back to Hobart tomorrow to fly home on Sunday.
Today I was out and about with NZ_B, GraciesGPSfun and Jude_E (GNTJ). It was the hottest day of our trip so far. We started off the day by visiting Cataract Gorge, which was an amazing place, and then continued around the city area.
We headed out this way as part of an Adventure Lab and took the opportunity to look for this cache, which didn’t take too long to find after wading through a bit of long grass. Log signed as GNTJ. Thanks for the cache, which was our last one of the day

Day 6 of an 8 day caching holiday in Tasmania. Signing as GNJ or TD23 depending on whether its part or all of our NZ caching group.
Quick find after passing a still burning log. A bit worrisome on this windy hot day. Thanks for the cache, Ryan00.

We found this cache with relative easy after a walk through very long grass, with eyes pealed for nope ropes.
The stamp was missing so we replaced it with a spare we had.
Thank you so much for this hide

A bit of a wet trudge through the long grass, me and Peppa are both thankful for waterproof shoes. The park is not as well maintained as the satellite pictures would suggest so definitely be careful in the long grass, especially coming into summer TFTC
Day 7 of my Tasmanian Odyssey and today it’s all about Bicheno and a few select caches around Launceston…
With TinkerTom1 as my driver we left early, Tasmanian early, and enjoyed sometime in Bicheno… High on our successes in Bicheno we turned back towards Beaconsfield and hit some caches on my list…
This cache was a must do for this trip, as it’s the only letterbox in Launceston… it’s helps with a new challenge in Toowoomba that requires me to make an ASS of myself…
I’m glad TinkerTom1 was with me… otherwise I’d still be on the other side of the creek… rather than wading through a sea of shoulder high grass…

Took me a while to find it as I was hesitant to search around a few ants. But I'm glad I persevered.
Last morning in Launceston before flying home to Qld. Decided to go for a jog on the northern side of town. A 11km route took me past 12 caches with 10 finds, 1 DNF and one with two many muggles. Thanks to all the COs for the excuse to get me out of bed instead of sleeping in. Dropping TB that is on a race
A nice walk off track away from the droves of muggles this morning cache in good condition
Trip required to Launceston to pick up machinery parts, so being a good weather report, today was the day to combine with a caching expedition as well. 9/10 wasn't too bad for us. Our expedition has got us from Devonport to Churchill Park now ..... a part of Launceston new to us. Retrieved this one quick enough, but a bit dubious about best approach given lots of long potentially wet grass, water filled depressions and distance off tracks. Circled the wagons and approached from the north near a seat and playground. Picked our way across to a dry cache in a snug hidey hole, signed and rehidden as found. TFTC Glad we persevered Ryan00
Waiting for the fish and chips to be ready and decided to check out some off leash dog parks. Look forward to coming back. Thanks for the quick find here.
Hello, We found your cache on day #10 of our Lap year trip.
Selling up our hobby farm in South Gippsland and putting everything in storage we are now living on the road full time in our caravan and ‘doing a lap’.
Sorry for the generic log, time, data and reception are all factors in the decision to use a copy and paste log, we will always endeavour to leave a photo or two with each log and always leave a favourite point and unique comment(S) where applicable for the truly outstanding caches.
Earth, Virtual, letterbox handmade and Gadget caches are always at the top of the list for us to find.
Thank you for being one of the CO’s who supplied us with a cache to find today.
Cache in good condition.

This is my first letterbox cache found in Tasmania. [^]
Well... first cache published as a letterbox. I'm claiming it.
TFTC Ryan00. It was a nice walk in a popular park.

What’s with my gps today, it struggled to settle on the right spot but eventually got there. To get this one I ended up with soaking wet shoes from the long, long grass. 10 /26 for today.
Easy find... has gotten a bit damp some of the swaps have been damaged I will come back and replace some at a later date
I had this cache on my must do list before leaving home as I needed a letterbox cache in Tasmania for a challenge on the mainland.
After doing some warm up exercises in the heated pool to limber up, Muggle son drove us to this area and left us to walk in. So glad the wild oats had all been mown, I wouldn’t have wanted to walk through waist high dry wild oats here in the middle of summer.
It was quite a struggle for me and I was delighted when Muggle Hubby located it, and we could start our trek back to the car.
Thanks for placing and maintaining it for our entertainment.

I think we may have made a geotrail leading to gz, as the grass was very long. And now I have a LB to add to my Tassie types.
Cheers Ryan00

Visiting Launceston for a few days and have some spare time to nab a couple of caches here.
Wasn't too keen on the long grass but I've walked through worse I reckon.
Had a nice quick find once at GZ, thanks CO.

Today we spent a couple of hours exploring and having lunch at the Glebe Gardens with SonOfSteel - what a wonderful spot! We found ourselves with a spare hour or so afterwards, and figured we'd head around to Heritage Forest and pick up a couple of caches.
We made our way to this one second, before picking up Mr & Little Miss Nataliec1234 (who we'd left at the playground). It took a little bush-bashing to make it to the GZ, but eventually we made it there and a search soon commenced. Fortunately, not too long later, we had the cache in hand.
Thanks for giving us another great reason to visit this wonderful reserve!

Hi Ryan00 thanks for the hide, approaching GZ it was obvious where the cache may reside just which way do you approach as lots of bark everywhere. Found easily and added a 'mailbox' to my statistics. The kids will enjoy the newly added stamp. All good with the hide log dry and an easy wander through the lovely reserve. Being a Monday morning the place was reasonably deserted bar for a few of the muggle walking muggles lol.
We are staying in Bridport for the week with our family and decided to attend the events that are in Launceston and Lilydale. We also realised that maybe if we attempt some caches with large favourites points that we may reach the last cache carnival souvenir.
Needed some more letterboxes, funny how this wasn’t suppose to be a letterbox Cache! Quick find at GZ, fitted it in while waiting for the event!

Day 22 of my travels and my last day in Tasmania before heading back to the mainland and making my way to Queanbeyan for Easter.
After staying overnight in Launceston, I spent some time clearing up a few more of the caches I had targeted nearby and on my way to Devonport for the ferry. The weather was pretty ordinary, with strong winds and intermittent showers increasing through the day.
This letterbox hybrid was one of my targets for the day. It was a nice straightforward find.
Thanks Ryan00 for the cache.
