With the event in Treebry later on, I decided to make the most of the trip SOR, and spend the afternoon collecting some more of the Granett caches in the bushland here. 38 degrees, 4 hours, and 12km on foot later, I have just shy of 30 new smileys on my map. Some of the logs signed as JK. I quite liked the Big Bang Theory caches as I am a great fan of the show. Thanks for the hides.

A warm Spring day for this series, TFTC!

Out and about on a Sunday caching run, enjoying the sunny, cool weather.

This cache’s Gz proved a great location to wait out the 10 minute rain shower. Kept me far drier than what I would have been without the tree. Cheers Granett!

All in perfect shape here. Thanks for placing this cache for me to find. Out for another nature walk with geoson. I find caches, he finds bones/plants/fungi (he's into biology etc!).

We continued our walk. This took us into an area that looks like it gets a bit wet under foot in the winter. Today it was dry.
Cache was found in a place we would always check.
While here we added a new log book as the old ones were full. We left the old ones in the cache for a historical read.

Well we decided to tackle some caches in an unknown territory today and all were found in great condition with spot on coordinates.... only might have to discuss the D rating on a few with my friend Granett, lol.

Great series and highly recommend, TFTC Granett, TNSL and left some swag.

Family walk, thanks for the hide

I've had my eye on this series for quite some time, and some annual leave over Easter provided the perfect opportunity to get over here and visit the 'Federation' Yesterday I came over to pick up the Big Bang series so while here I took a quick look around in this part of the park to get an idea what to expect. Today I am back and fully prepared! The weather was slightly cooler but dry and perfect for a decent hike around through the bush. In the end it took me around 5 hours to complete the whole series, with those in the southern part of the park requiring the most bush-bashing to reach. It was a lovely few hours walking with the geohound. Very peaceful too with roos being the only muggles to contend with All containers were found, all with very good coords, and with only a small number of caches requiring maintenance (noted on the individual logs). Thanks for placing this great series, and TFTC

Had a few hours to myself this hot summers afternoon so I thought I'd tackle this series. Great series in a nice wilderness, couldn't quite complete it all so will have to come back to complete another time.

Thank you for this great series Granett and for bringing me out here, a little scratched up by the end but thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Thanks for being gentle with us on this series Granett. Co-ordinates are excellent and caches are in great condition. More than that though the hides are fair, given the dastardly possibilities around.

I think I'm being watched by all the small planes flying overhead! I must look pretty suspicious. TFTC

We were abut wary of walking through the low brush so we doubled back and found a clearer path in - snake season has us on edge so if you're ever out Geocaching in the bush and you hear a bunch of singing, yelling, laughing, just saying stupid things in general, crashing and bashing , you'll know it's ValoForce trying to tell the snakes were coming through!!

Went out this morning with geobrother and family and geosister to finally start getting some smileys for this series. It's been on our radar for a while now, and it was great to get started, especially in this cooler weather when the sand is a bit harder and the snakes aren't much of a threat. Found 16 out of 16 this morning and my parting words to muskcat83 when we finished, was "same time next week to finish it off?"j

Found it. TFTC Granett. Still had a current visa so I ventured south and crossed the boarder into the unknown. This is a really great Nature park for a bush walk. I saw lots of signs of the local inhabitants and thats all. I am sure I was seen by them. Thanks for bringing me here.

Out for a few early Australia Day Caches before the heat set in.. Disturbed a couple of very big roo's near this one, Not sure who got the bigger fright me or them. I swear one was bigger than me.. TFTC

Hadnt been out geocaching in a long time, so headed out with sr_sparky for a few hours. I had been watching this series for a whilst, and today was the day to start it, and get our geo numbers up.
With no clear order in which to do these, we made one up along the way.

All caches were in good condition, some hidden more obvious than others but all with accurate coordinates. Series not complete as the pub called our name, but will be back, next time with long pants to avoid all the scratches from the bush bashing. Oh and watch out for snakes. TFTC Granett

Sqwash's calendar lined up with mine and we decide to head out caching for numbers. Managed to get most of this series completed in 3 hours, only with the associated cuts, a tick and a snake.

We were here last weekend after watching the grandkids play footy but didn't complete the series as we started quite late in the afternoon. So here we are again to complete the series if possible. We're back on the firebreak, heading Northeast towards the GeoCOMMODOREute, just a few more to go before our lunchbreak. Then we'll have a sandwich before doing the Northern leg of the series.

Logged under Mummy & Daddy's name smileyjims but I have my own online name now, I found this cache with them and wrote in the log book with them TFTC

Attempted to reach worf from the SE but found the terrain to be almost impassable, so I detoured to this cache and made an easy find. Unfortunately a hailstorm hit just as I finished rehiding the cache so I made the 700m retreat back to my car in the rain and thunder; wet, cold and defeated. I made 11 successful finds this morning and I will definitely be back to finish off this series.

We started this series June of last year and decided to come back today to finish it off. Great morning for a walk and we found the remaining 16 caches thanks to great co ords. TFTC Granett this is find number 1132 for us.

I have been wanting to finish this Star Trek Series for some time now. I had previously found 7 hides. With the Geowife at work for a few hours, today was my opportunity. Didn't manage to finish them all, but found 16 more with one DNF.

It was a great day - beautiful weather, lots of bird life, even surprised a mob of kangaroos. Each cache that I found was an easy find. I wish i could have stuck to the tracks a bit more - I seemed to be bush bashing a fair bit. I fell over a couple of times, I lost a power tank pen - All in all a fun morning.

At the beginning it was an easy walk, but over the time some of the caches proves to be much more challenging. I really enjoyed bushwalking !

Thank you! As it was a long weekend, I thought I would head down and check out this series. It was quite an adventure, and I managed to find all but one.
This was the third find for the day, as I worked my way south.

Over here on holidays from SA ! started the series last year and decided to do some more tday, Bad move with the weather rain on and off after being soaked thru decided to give it away after about 17 caches ! Thanks for the fun TNLN Granet

I had some time to kill today, so I decided to find a few more of these caches. It amazes me how you managed to fit so many into such a small patch of bushland. The rain kept coming and going. Most caches were found quickly, with the odd one or two being difficult. I saw a few kangaroos too. A variety of different terrain was trekked, from sand to dense shrub.
Granett, I found your cache ‘Q’ today. It was the ninth find of fifteen finds (all of this series) with zero DNF’s and brings my total count to 478. The cache was found in a good condition so I signed the log book and replaced it as I found it. Thanks for the hide.

Tftc Granett ...log sheet well and truly full....needs replacing

Its been a relatively quiet caching year for me this year then I noticed the other day that I wasn't too far off a significant milestone so decided to see if I could make it before the year was out. In order to do so I needed to pick up about 20 caches. The series in this area fitted my purpose perfectly despite a number being out of action at the moment so I headed down this morning to have a crack at them and to drop off a few GCA moveables. Most were easy finds with only 1 DNF. Some logs were full or nearly so but I can't recall which ones. TFTC and the series.

After a bike race this morning I had the afternoon free for caching, and I've wanted to do this series for quite a long time, so I headed out, not having read the logs about the prescribed burn. It was quite a warm afternoon, but I made my way to every single cache in the area. In the end I found 26, and did not find 10 . I found the first one 1:27pm, and DNF'd the last one at 5:54pm, and ended up walking around 8.5kms. I'm not sure if I took the most optimal route, but in the beginning I let the GPS guide me with 'find next closest', but I made sure I didn't leave any behind in odd places.

I parked on Clifton Road, near Bashir, and started off on the east side, heading south, all the way into the corner, and then worked my way back up the west side, and eventually into the north corner, which seems to be the most affected by the fires. In the south east area I found some of the bush bashing horrendous, but it was much easier going once I got into the southern most corner and back up to the western and northern sides.

I was amazed at the diversity of the flora in the area, there were just patches of different types of trees and bushes, and you would move from one patch to another. I also had a few close encounters with the fauna, a few ticks tried to eat me, and I had to evict a huntsman at one cache, and I also saw several kangaroos, and rabbits, and one animal that looked like a rat but moved liked a rabbit...

Most caches were easy finds, but in a few spots the GPS was jumping around severely.

Thanks for the great series Granett, I enjoyed the walk, and hope to come back soon for the ones I couldn't find due to the fires.

It seems a prescribed burn has occurred in this area. I hope to get out and check the series in the next couple of weeks, until then cache at your own peril.
