I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Not sure if the new bridge means this is gone, but there were no stairs here anymore
#285 good excuse to check out the new bridge. Lots of muggles heading in to Wellington for the postponed Matariki fireworks and something to pass the time while my son is at Laserstrike. ..another step closer to my next hidden creature! TFTC straightforward find...once I figured out east...I have no sense of direction
A nice quick find on a quiet night. Handy nearby lighting helped. All safe and dry here. TFTC
Bike in being serviced @ Red Baron. Nice walk around the block. Thanks for the cache
A nice easy find while wandering over to Petone during a weeks holiday in Wellington. Tftc
Very easy to find. Definitely pays to read the whole blurb on this one as the coords are quite far from the cache. Luckly for us, we did read the blurb, so headed in the direction the clue took us and found cache immediately. Cache in good order
Day 70 of 100 day cache

Our first geocache find! A great way to start the new year. Found quickly - good clues!

replaced cache, updated the coordinates which may not be exact, so let me know if you have any difficulties. The hint should guide you to the cache
I happened to be catching a train at Ava today and remembered this cache. The span has been completely removed and the notice says they may either repair or replace the bridge. Either way, the timeframe is 6-12 months (from November 2016 I guess) - possibly too long to keep a cache disabled. Maybe you could relocate it to the other bridge or else archive this one and make a new one on the new bridge - whatever form that takes.
Came past here today and noted that access to the overpass is cut off, and it looks like they are doing work on the supporting structure. Access to the cache is not possible while they do this. Will re-activate when it is good to go
Found with the local Venture Scout unit with the Rover Scouts during a linking activity.
A quick find. Stealth required here because so many muggles used this bridge while we were here. Tftc.
I'm not sure where I should have been counting from but found the cache at seventeen not sixteen so replaced at sixteen, or maybe fifteen. TFTC!
Needed some exercise, so went for a cycle out to the Hutt. Decided to grab this cache while I was at it. Straight forward find with the hint. TFTC.
StreetWalker and I are spending the day in the Wellington / Lower Hutt area before heading back to the mainland tomorrow, so we took the opportunity to find a cache or two, especially solved puzzles.
We arrived just after a train, but by the time we got to GZ, any passengers that had disembarked had moved on which was good. After searching a few likely places, the cache was located. TFTC.

#12071. When we lived in Petone, Ava was the closest station (though I tended to walk down Jackson Street to Petone station). Troodles found after a short search. TFTC.
Picked up on early morning bike ride. GLAD to have this one. TFTC.
Note to CO - Cache lid hinge broken so lid put in place as best I could.

Quick find. The container top was off, but it was stuck in the container to help keep the log from falling out. TFTC. Mahalo and Aloha from Hawaii.
Easy to find once we ignored the gps and used the hint! There is no pencil or pen in the cache so remember to bring your own! Added a trinket item just for fun!
Nicely placed. Thankfully found quickly today as it was really hot up here today, and not even 10am yet! Got to love weather like this in the Hutt TFTC
Wasn't having much luck trying to discretely look between passing muggles using the GPS, but it was a quick find when we ignored the GPS & used the clue. Had to be wary of not dropping it though. Thanks zboy wonder
Last time I tried for Ova Ava the overbridge was being painted and the muggle-painter was keeping an eye on me so I abandoned ship. This time the hint led me straight to the spot and the log was signed and replaced in no time at all. Just before a commuter train came in to the station too. TFTC! It has a little more grey cammo now that the paint brush has flicked over it.
After a visit to bushside.
Dropped by this one.
A quick find. Cache in order, log signed, then re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Hunted for awhile...stuffed up a bit in my pre cache planning and didn't have the hint but searched high and low with no success. Thanks for taking me to this corner of Petone.
2nd of the day and a clever hide. Chose the right time as it was muggle free. TFTC.
#1844 Found this afternoon after a game of 10 pin bowling- a lovely evening to collect some more Hutt caches. Wandered over from 'Bush Side' and soon had cache in hand. TFTC.
Looked for this cache today but encountered a woman painting the overbridge. She is painting the whole thing so expect she will find the cache at some stage. Unlike me. I might come back when it's raining in a couple of days time. Hopefully she won't be painting and the cache might still be there.
Found had to wait for a dad and two small children to leave who were train spotting. Luckily a train came and they left.
I parked down by the beginning of the over bridge and followed my GPS which took to the general vicinity but the hint helped and after waiting for the train to come in and leave and the passenger leave the area , it was soon retrieved and sighned and replaced . Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
#1301 There was this bloke hanging out at the top of the landing for the LONGEST time! What was he doing? Train watching? I had to come back. All is in good order. TFTC
Selected this for an easy find today with no trains running. Today was a beautiful sunny morning but yesterday is still a dot day for me as I was not venturing our in the torrential rain. I salute 1Grunta for being braver.
Looking for a quick find between downpours.
No luck down the road, but this was nice and easy.

Replaced log - will look to replace cache container soon as the lid doesn't close
A great spot for a cache. Imagine how many people pass this site every day and don't realize what is hidden here. Tftc
Logbook a bit damp as previously noted by another finder. Very quiet at GZ today which was very agreeable to me.

Find No 3 for today. This should have been easy but I had made it harder than it needed to be - didnt have my eyes in finally found. TFTC
#748. Night-caching is certainly a good option at a site like this. Could be very busy at times but tonight not a soul in sight. Plenty of time to check the likely hiding spots. Didn't need to do any counting as per hint as cache was found within a few minutes. Logbook is a bit damp but still OK to write on. Could do with drying out and a new plastic bag. TFTC
