DNF My geo-sense is clearly not functioning today. Lots of logs and grass, plus a GPS that kept spazzing out, complicated the matter.
Note for next attempt: long pants a must, the prickly bushes are everywhere. Certainly not a cache to attempt in thongs.

Didn't take long to find, which is good because it's hot! TFTC
Thallan to Moree
We stopped along the road where we found suitable places to park with a caravan on.
Arrived into Moree about noon & have set up camp at the showgrounds.
After lunch we did a tour of the town finding caches as we went. This was a nice way to tour the area.
Thankyou for placing this cache ReXross

Certainly a trial, between cacti and prickles thank god for bandaids. Gps all over the p l ace but perserverance paid off tyfc
So very dry and nasty prickly bushes. Thank you for the cache. Feel so sorry for the locals. Nice town though.
Again my GPS GZ was so good I didn't have to search around. Thanks TeamKros s. Time for a star.
The last cache tackled in Moree before leaving.
Our GPS took us around the back of the race track to a dead end. Mr Beetle waited with the van while I went to this one. It was a short walk but involved crossing a dry creek bed. Lucky there's a drought on and there was no water in the creek.
Don't think the locals would think that though!!!
Thanks.

Found with sjg66 on the way home from Longreach. Thanks to all the cache owners who maintain these caches out here.
TFTC it’s a great day out and about exploring Moree with Squirrels0291 and her geohubby
Nice hide and found after s short search with Churpy! Awesome day in Moree today, thank you for the cache! : )
The bushes and trees did present a bit of a challenge, scared up a couple of largish sun baking roos, but spied the container eventually, not a real long time though.
Obviously this gully does not flood often thought it may have been high up the bank. Anyway all is good, another smiley found Tftc
My first cache find in Moree. A nice walk from the caravan park. Hopefully a few more finds today.

Travelling to Moree during the long weekend from the ACT meeting TheSkype. Long but a rewarding drive, seeing the sights and caching along the way. The main goal being the hot spring baths in Moree. Dead end road, TFTC
Hi there ReXross. Today was a driving day between Inverell and Moree - so a pretty easy day. We left Inverell early (before 10am) and arrived in Moree at around 12.30pm. This cache was a quick find and the container and the log are dry and in good condition. SL. Thanks to ReXross for this cache - our find #6639.
Once again Dez’s finding ability came to the fore, just as well as yours truly isn’t very keen on long grass. Seff very gallantly lead me back to the safety of the path.

Dez (JezNDez), Lennondayz29 and I headed off this afternoon from Brisbane, making our leisurely way towards the Mega event in Queanbeyan. Our first overnight stop was Moree, and after checking in to our accommodation just before 10pm, we headed out to collect a few local caches on our list. Perfect weather to be out night caching, with the added benefit of a scarcity of muggles.
After taking a longer route than necessary to arrive at GZ and negotiating the various prickly bushes in the darkness, we commenced the hunt. With fellow Bromanceketeer member Swellerfungus having been a recent successful finder, the pressure was on us to match the feat. Jez's cache finding ability was to prove to be on a hot streak tonight, this being one of many she was to lay her hands on while the rest of us were searching futilely elsewhere. TFTC

Lennondayz29's view is that any grass you can't play croquet or golf on is too long, as there may be snakes lurking within. In France, where she resides, this isn't really much of an issue. Here in The Land Down Under, where even sea shells can kill you horribly, she has something of a valid point. Seff gallantly pointed out that any snakes would be asleep, which earned him a dirty look from Ldayz and the pleasure of her stepping on his heels all the way to the cache in a bid to ensure he remained close enough to act as a shield from any snake ambushes. Luckily I managed another quick find (on fire tonight!) and the trip back to the car was uneventful. TFTC
On our way to the Mega. After setting up camp it was time to grab the local caches. One for the numbers. Plenty of thorny bushes. Log signed. TFTC
Scratchy indeed! After a navigational mix up that may have been due to a call home to the wife, I found the right way in. A short hop, skip and a jump later and the cache was in hand. All is well with the cache and contents!
This was my last cache for the day in Moree as it is starting to warm up.
I parked the car at the end of the no through road and walked over to GZ. It is not a good idea to do that in shorts and thongs. Some of the bushes are very thorny.
When at GZ, it was not very long before the cache was in hand.
All is good with this cache.

A new towne to explore (again),
and find some caches
I started this cache from the side of the main road.
And no !!
The cache isn't hidden on the crash barrier
I followed the GPS,
through the fence,
across the grassy field,
and into the edge of the prickly acacia tank trap
A quick find without too many scratches to boast about

After finding the puzzle cache in such a pretty and pleasant area this was just the opposite with long grass and prickly bushes everywhere. Not my favourite cache by a long chalk. The hint was useful to finally track down the cache as my phone was all around everywhere else TFTC TeamKross
Hi there TeamKross.
We found your cache **"Can't think of one?"** today. (This makes our find count 19443).
Today we cached around Moree. The aim of the day was to cache along roads we haven't traveled on since we became full time grey nomads. Once we've done that we can draw another line on our wall map).
A quick stroll through the grass and the cache was soon in hand. Not too difficult at all.
We found 8 caches today (DNF'd 3) .We thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I wish that I'd worn something longer. Found it ok, but have the scratches to prove it. Off to the chemist for some skin cream now.
Thanks for the cache TeamKross. Took nothing, left nothing, let the travelers visit and signed the log.

I tried to grab this one a few months ago whilst on a morning jog but decided against trying to find it in the dark in my shorts. This time i came prepared in long pants and boots but alas it was dark again. No problems this time locating the cache. Thanks for the challenge
Driving from CBR to Caloundra, slept in my swag in a rest area (with no cache there ... grr) the other side of Narrabri... Decided I had been on the road long enough that I might need a Geocache to find for a break, pulled over near here to look where some were up ahead and noticed this one nearby, the name sounds interesting - ok, why not?
TFTC, quite a nice spot to sit in the bush for a few minutes and type this (draft - edited slightly and posted later) log
Prickly acacias/etc were not much of a problem - easier to walk between than CBR blackberries... but I was not so impressed with the... er... Terrestrial tribulations... B/#@+¥ caltrop! (Tribulus terrestris... not sure why I know the scientific name for it, but I do... lol) one of the burrs stuck into the bottom of my foot through the (not very thick) sole of my shoe ...

We are on our way from Nanango Qld to Alexandra via a few over night stops. our first stop is in Moree. We were supposed to leave home on the 4th but something came up and we could only leave today, the 6th. Arrived in town at 1300 adjusted (NSW DST) time. All good. This was the next on the list and it was a very quick find. Short walk to GZ. Parked roadside. The clouds are becoming thicker lower and darker and menacing looking. After finding all the ones on our list we were completed by about 1630.
We then went for a drive to hide 5 caches for TeamKross to have in their area. I got one hidden and saw the storm coming and it was 10 K back to town. Just got into the car port at the Motel when the sky opened and some hail started striking the roof onf the car port. Good luck on this one. Will go back out in the morning before heading to Dubbo for four days and hide the other four. TFTC TeamKross

Tyfc. Hint very good some broken glass near so I removed from immediate area to my car. Just be careful in case
Found by Mary & David at 1330. We loved travelling through town to get to this cache, past jacaranda, bougainvillea, silky oak and some real bush. Still love caching as much as we did 15 years ago. Our thanks to TeamKross.
The D/T rating of this one intrigued me and the description of the area sounded like a bit of a challenge so i thought i would have a go for it. It must have been my lucky day as when i got close to the GX after negotiating the long grass and then the undergrowth by the time i checked my gps to see where i was i had already gone 1 metre past it. Stepped back and spotted it straight away, the easiest D3 i think I've ever done. The weather and season must have been on my side! Tftc
A one night stopover (or should that be a soakover) [^] at the thermal pools gave us enough time to look for our last unfound cache in Moree. We'd been to this area before when we rode around doing the excellent cache, Moree Mystery. What was surprising was the amount of cat eyes we got in our tyres crossing the grassy patch between the road and the highway. So yes, we can think of one, one thing geocaching in the west has taught us - when cycling keep to the roads and paved paths!
Today we were on foot and soon got to GZ. A quick find of the cache as we leave Moree. TFTC TeamKross.

Had a great time at the Alice Mega and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches along the way. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.
Quite overgrown but Mr and Mrs Coongoola persevered regardless and were rewarded with success and found the hide in good condition.
Thanks for the cache TeamKross.

It was quite a long walk to this one from the last cache and the street just off the main drag seemed to be populated solely by barking dogs.
When I got to the cache, it was a quick find but I didn't want to walk back past those dogs so I jumped the fence and walked back along the highway which was quiet at this time of day. This afforded me the opportunity to visit the railway bridge which is beautiful.

Heading north for the Alice Springs Event at Easter we explored Narromine and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Used the ability of the geo 4WD to drive almost all the way to the cache. The last stretch resulted in numerous sticky and itchy encounters, before the cache was located. Would recommend long pants and enclosed shoes, instead of shorts and sandals.
tftc,
Today is day 69 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C.
We left Sheepyards yesterday and didn't locate a single cache. Today our goal we to reach the Scenic Rim and A couple of stops along the way. This one before leaving our overnight stop.
As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".
Happy caching.

After staying the night nearby, needed to get cache before heading to Queensland. Quick find, thanks to TeamKross.
TFTC. We extended our stay by a few days. A lovely morning for caching. With the revent down pours we were unsure about this one. Once we had traversed the undergrowth and the prickles we found it in great condition. SL and returned to its hiding place.
Found at 3:26 PM GAFF3.
Gosh - the Terrain should be a bit higher due to the nasty spiky bushes. What is it with these spiky bushes around this town!
Thanks TeamKross.

Back in my old job and so back in Moree for a short rest break.
Out to stretch the legs before I head off again and what better way to do that than to go find a #Geocache!
The warnings about spikes are warranted and look out for ticks as well!

QLD Mega trip 2015 with Sol de Lune. On this almost 400km road trip we drove from Canberra to Stanthorpe caching in all the towns along the way with mostly great success. Around the Mega there were heaps of caches to be done including a few power trails. Despite the weather we got all of the planned caches done.
Day thirteen and it was time to head home. We drove from Stanthorpe to Moree via Warialda. Most of the caching was at Warialda, including the highlight, the walk around the reserve. There were a few other fun ones during the day as well. Thanks.
