Took the opportunity to grab a few more caches in the series after shopping at nearby Fountain GateOnly targeted the more easily found caches i.e. no recent dnf and those virtually clear of blackberry bushAll caches found in good conditionMany thanx to Pinkpiggy7
It looked like it was going to be a hot day... possibly too hot for caching comfortably... but I wanted to get some finds in today. The main reason is that I am trying to complete **400 Challenge....with a twist** which means 400 Finds on, for me, the 12th on any month... and that is why I decided to hit a section of the **Hallam Bypass Trail**... on foot. Hmm, a bit warm for chocolate today... but an ice cream would have been nice. I could see a "servo" down the road but decided that it was a bit too far out of my way... and got back on with the business of cache hunting... and another easy find! Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for the cache... and the series.
Quick and easy find once the iPhone settles a little. A little sad at all the rubbish around GZ. TFTC and adventure.
Looked for a nice long stretch of path, chose this! Signed log. So nice to be walking with tshirt and sun!
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

Thanks pinkpiggy7 for the Hallam bypass Trail. I am out on a ride to this area today as I have seen the group of Geocaches along the freeway and thought that I would have a go at them, unfortunately I left my train ticket at home so didn’t go all the way, never mind, next time. TFTC
Nice quick find for us today!

Completed the hallam bypass trail today. This was a quick find halfway through our walk. Hidden in an easy to access area. No bush bashing required. Thanks pibkpiggy7!
Mmmm chocolate... a favourite treat along that is near the top of the list along with ice cream.
RoamingHowie and I abandoned my bag and items back at the car to avoid them getting wet in this drizzly cold winter's walk but i snuck a chocolate in my pocket to eat!
is it too early to eat you before lunch?!
thanks for the cache and reminder about my pocket surprise

What a miserable day to be outside… bring on spring! I caught up with Kristysadventures for an opportune stroll along this trail.
Mmmm chocolate. I wish I had some of that to hand right now while searching for this cache! A quick find here, minus any edible goodies.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Today I was out and about with CJDenno once again. We were thinking we should do this. We parked at the Westfield and went riding. Jeez those hills are so annoying. We rode north collecting this one of many caches.

Out on a geocaching ride with PrezDough today grabbing this series.
This cache was one of many we claimed on the ride.
We started at the Fountain Gate Shopping Centre car park and headed north on the Hallam Bypass Trail.
Most caches were found easily, however some were a bit challenging with the GPS wandering all over the place.
This cache, container and log are in excellent condition.

My wife had requested a delivery of a present and just when we thought it wasn't going to arrive, we got the message that it was available for pick-up on Christmas Eve. I wasn't in the mood for all the late Christmas shoppers at Fountain Gate, so after dropping her off rushed to this area, parked and got a short period to grab more of these geocaches.
Found this one just after 12 pm, and got the first warning call to start making my way back.
Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7

Heymissjo and I passed by here on the Monash as we headed to the matriarch's milestone birthday.
I pointed up to where this cache evaded us a few years ago.
"We're getting that cache on the way back today!", I prophesised.
Indeed, over 2 years later, that DNF continued to haunt me every time I passed this stretch of road.
The birthday was delightful.
Even the introverted birthday girl had a great time!
And true to my word, Heymissjo and I found ourselves here once again after the festivities had ended.
Late afternoon sunshine and a stiff breeze greeted us.
Today we swiftly found the cache, in a manner that we'd expected, but a bit more to the east than where we'd searched last time.
Damn satellites!!
At least today we finally had closure, and the fulfillment of a prophecy.
Thanks so much, PP7.
All is good here.

Ahhhh finally found this one…. It’s been like an Easter egg sitting on the shelf forgotten about for years… but a family commitment and a milestone celebration meant that The Welder and I found ourselves down this way… so close to that chocolate… in a past life many moons ago, we had looked for this cache, but despite widening our searching, we never found more than some discarded underwear hidden in the twilight.
Today it’s a different story! We pulled up not too far from gz, reflecting on how different life is now to that fruitless search all that time ago… much happier, settled and a new geo-base to look forward to. Maybe calmer waters also leads to more acute geosenses, for The Welder put his hand on it pretty quickly! Thanks for the cache and a moment of reflection.

To many people are finding our caches in breach of lockdown provisions, disabling until things are open again.

Out today for a nice cruisey day of caching before I compete at a nerdy card game tournament tonight. So what better to do then clear out some caches in the area.
Had been looking at this series for quite a while and decided today was the day to do it. All in all most finds were simple and straight forward. With only two real roadbumps in the series. First was my own overthinking and pure blindness and the other was works occurring on the path limiting my access to the first half of the series... a well maybe another day.
Either way thanks for the caches and the morning walk.

I nice day for a ride although it did warm up somewhat.
This was one of many along the trail that was tackled today with my origami bike. The GPS pointed to an area at least 10m away today.
THanks for the series Pinkpiggy7

At first I searched near the GZ indicated by my GPS, but I could not find it.
I broadened the search area and soon had the cache in hand.

Not sure of the naming of this one, but we had some chocolate with us. We also went to Krispy Kreme later on too.
I don’t really know why I decided to head out and brave the heat today as it was a blistering 40+ in the sun. It wasn’t a thoroughly successful day due to exhaustion but enjoyable none-the-less.

Out for a walk on a wet, cold and stormy afternoon where we decided to hit the trail along a concrete path rather the others we looked at which were on unmade tracks. We spend a few hours walking down and then back up to the car where we saw lots of fence, quite a few nice trees, a lot of poor graffiti (no art skills here, just tagging) and found all of the geocaches we were looking for. Thanks for this series and I hope that others will take the time to head out and walk the path for fun, entretainment, excersize and of course, geocaching.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this, quite lengthy series of geocaches which we found an enjoyable walk on a Sunday afternoon.

Heymissjo and I dropped by in the twilight for a spontaneous hunt. But that spontaneity became rather protracted and challenging.
We found many things here.
Sadly none were a cache.
One thing we were agreed on was that 'it can't be THAT hard'.
But it was, it seems...
Lol.
Thanks, PP7. You were far too good for us today.

GPS was a little flaky, maybe the position of Mars or a misalignment in the Milky Way giving us issues! But after some searching we found it! TFTC
Recently I bought a second hand car form a nearby dealer and unfortunately I had to return today to get a couple of minor thing sorted out with it. That left me with a couple of hour to kill and what better thing to do than walk a trail and find some caches.
The last cache had me thinking about sandwiches for lunch now this one has my mind on dessert. Caching on an empty stomach when the cache names are food related. When is it lunch time?
Thank you Pinkpiggy7 for keeping me entertained

A beautiful afternoon in Melbourne and what better way to spend it than go on the Hallam Trail for some caches we haven't already picked up. Today only the little geokid is with me as he is especially enthusiastic to execute some swap transactions given these tend to be on the larger size and most likely has swaps. Relatively easy find. Nothing to really trade so the little geokid dropped off some of his swaps.

First find for the morning. Took longer than it should have. Cache in good condition.
The last of this great series has been left unfound by us for far too long so Mrs Crackers thought it was about time that we changed that.
After a few very hot days this morning seemed like a good but for a walk along the freeway but an early start didn't happen so today I only managed to find three. The remaining five will have to wait for cooler weather.
There weren't too many muggles out and about today which made searching for the caches quite easy and all three were found not long after the searches were started and our name was added to the logs.
Thanks Pinkpigg7 for placing these caches for us to find.

A little surprisingly that took a while. When I found it I thought I had checked that spot a few times, but obviously not quite enough. Got it in the end! TFTC
After receiving quite a few boxes of chocolates yesterday, we certainly didn’t have the urge for any more. Things might of been different if we had come on any other day.
Took a little while to find this one and luckily we haven’t come across any muggles so far and could take our time. Probably all shopping for the Boxing Day sales.
Thanks again Pinkpiggy7 for an excellent series.

Today we went caching in Dandenong and surroundings. Fortunately is was as hot as yesterday.
Found and logged together with Swerik, Mikaching and GPS-Wickie.

Cache was replaced upside down and now there is a bit of water inside it.

Out caching with Master 13 and Miss 11. Master 13 chose this trail for the caches and we were not disappointed. We walked from Fountain Gate to Hallam and back (about 13km all up) so poor pooch was a bit worn out. Did get warm too btu manageed to keep the kids entertained (kick the plastic drink bottle along the track, kick the lemon, and they found two stray trollies and pushed them back to FG).
Miss 11 was disappointed that there was no chocolate here for her to eat and said that's nasty to lead someone here and no chocolate in sight.. Promised her a chocolate ice cream at the end... This was our last cache for the day and now the long walk back to car.
Thanks for these caches we love the ones where you can get out for a good walk.

Well with only a day or 2 to go until the Hidden Creatures deadline I had to get moving, so tonight I headed out under the cover of darkness to grab a chunk of this series. I needed 12 and found 14 with one DNF - not bad in the dark. It was a wild and wooly night, but at least it wasn't raining (and I had the bike track to myself!) I was expecting this series to be fairly bland - grab a sistema from a tree, walk 200m grab another one from a stump etc, but this was an excellent series with every cache a different type of container and some really neat hides, thankyou so much Pinkpiggy7 I really had fun.
I was lucky to find this I reckon - I checked all the "usual" spots and no luck but before walking away I put my hand down to brush some leaf matter and there was the cache, semi-buried in pine needles. I don't think I would have found this normally, just dumb luck!

I was enjoying a spot of late afternoon caching along the trail and stretching the legs after an inactive couple of days. This one took far longer to find than it should have, and was found in the first spot I didn't check so thoroughly. Oops. TFTC!
While The cat's away, the mouse will play (literally, Tally Tiger is out of the state with Zedaycee) I went out for a morning stroll (ok... A bit more than a stroll... All in all it took me about three hours to complete) but it was all in the quest for creatures and I found some interesting hides while out and about. While I didn't find everything on my to do list (cache wise) I had quite a successful day. After completing my cache hunt, 12 out of 15 found, not terrible... I headed into the nearby shops and acquired some new shoes (not Caching shoes, work shoes. I got awesome caching shoes back at Christmas) then it was off to collect my phone from the repair guy (luckily we keep a spare in case of emergencies) so, quite a bit poorer after collecting my newly restored phone (after the douche at the train station rushed by, making it fly out of my hands and break... And didn't even notice what he had done) I did some daily chores, finally finished binge watching Once Upon A Time (I really liked the ending!) And made it to training to receive some impressive new bruises! A pretty good day, all in all!
Another easy find on this trail, hope that doesn’t mean the rest will be tricky....

Out with CashewMinx on our bikes to finish off the remaining caches still unfound on this trail. Easy one again. Tftc
Found at 1505 on a last caching run with SirJ-Oz and Muggle-L before I headed back home. Glad that SirJ was carrying chocolate on this run, as I would've been extremely grumpy to have arrived at this one empty-handed! SirJ & I spotted the hide almost simultaneously, all was well with the cache. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.
Find #3505. Found @ 15:08 with AmethystPig and Muggle-L.
With the last day of the bejeweled swine being in town, I suggested some further caching exploits. Even though the weather decided not to come to the party and play nice, we still ventured forth. We decided to do the two car shuffle so that we could divide the trail into sections, and see how we were going. After just one section, the rain put a stop to the outing.
We decided that in honour of the name of this cache, we'd would also partake of the chocolate after finding this.
Took nothing, left a nightwing figurine that my son donated to the cause, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7

This makes 201. But took a little searching in the dark but found. Another one down
An easy find to start the day. Walking the trail as my daughter is at a movie party.
Didn't want to spend too long on only one when there was still plenty more to go on this trail. We said goodbye to this one for now, But I'm sure it'll still there waiting for us to find when we come back. Thanks for the cache!
Out and back along the Hallam Trail trying not Bypass any caches, I covered just under 19km along the enjoyable track. After recent difficulties doing suburban trails this was a very welcome layout, with few muggles along the trail and no awkward placements outside schools and next to playgrounds. Just 3 DNFs (which is a good stat for me). And a great and witty mix of containers kept the interest levels high all the way.
Hey, where's the chocolate? Oh, I'm 4 years too late for that...
Mmmm...chocolate. My favourite is milk chocolate. And dark chocolate. And white chocolate. And chocolate with nuts. And chocolate with ice-cream. And chocolate in icy drinks. And chocolate slabs. And chocolate bars. And marshmallows... Wait, what? Okay, I meant marshmallows covered with chocolate!
Thanks, Pinkpiggy7.

Very few muggles about this morning as we rode a small section of this trail - Building Blocks to Dundee, finding caches, then a quick return ride to the geo-vehicle.
Sighted trackable - the helper (TB5RXHM) which appears to be listed in Hallam Bypass Trail - No name - see kellieskye log for that cache.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Well, this has been long time happening! I DNF'd it when it was missing nearly 2 years ago and have not been back since. Today was appropriate as I was on the way to an event at the CO's place.
Were looking for a chocolate bar shaped box, but alas, no more food shaped items! Found with Syrick on a lovely day out on the trail! TFTC!
