We made a half day bustour, first visiting Kawarau Bridge, then Arrowtown and finally went up by Skyline Gondola. After tour we spent some time in city center where there was a huge crowd everywhere due to the marathon run.This was not that difficult as it could have been. TFTC

After breakfast the ladies set off for some more retail therapy in town, while Sdl and I headed out for some last minute caching in and around the CBD. Picked up half a dozen, including this one, before heading to the airport for the flight home. Visiting New Zealand for 2 weeks on a family holiday from Brisbane. Today was a ski day and when we arrived home I realised that we needed a few things from the shops, so back down the hill I went into town. I decided to detour via this cache on the way. It started raining and I took shelter for a while under the tree. It didnt take long to find the nicely camouflaged cache. Thanks fuzzynz!

Our tour group returned to Queenstown from Arrowtown this afternoon, so I was able to collect four more finds.

After a walk to the airport, a bus ride back, a walk in the gardens, around the waterfront and then looking for what we might want for dinner (neither of us hungry which made that difficult - ended up buying some snacks for later in the evening) we made our way past this hide on our way back to our accommodation while in Queenstown for work. A fairly quick find despite it being very dark. I think it was fairly fast because I had looked at the cache page at some point in the recent past and had a vague idea of what I was looking for. We are staying in Queenstown for a couple days and making trips to various locations (Milford Sound, Mount Crichton Loop Track (unfortunately no caching there as we couldn't get a good signal anywhere and hadn't checked before, but still a good hike!), swimming in Lake Wakatipu), and - obviously - enjoying some geocaching time in the town. Seventh day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Nothing serious, just the well trodden track every NZ tourist does who is coming from the other side of the world and has not the chance to come here more often. North Island is done, Auckland Coromandel, Rotorua and Wellington touched. Even the South Island is almost done. We arrived in Queenstown after Motueka, Punakaiki and FJ. Only more stop in Te Anau. But before that we enjoy three nights in this place who has everything to comb the money out of your pocket. Muggle was still sleeping while I indulged myself in the best and cheapest occupation ever. The works going on nearby irritated me a little since I did not find the cache rightaway. The hint helped. The camo is perfect. No chance for any muggles.Thx for hiding.
