Day 13 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today was the last day for team FATZ (Fox in Jox, AngelG27, ZQX and I). We started the morning with the early event, followed by a relaxed breakfast. Then we meandered the Strand to pick off a few caches, before heading for the airport to drop off the others. I stayed on for a few more days starting with some kayaking with Loci612. I finished the day with some solo caching attempting to find the remaining caches on the south side of the river, but ran out of time to find them all. Another one that was too elusive. Is it still here?

Puzzles involving maths are my favourites so it only took a couple of minutes to put my hands on the nicely hidden container. Thank you for placing the cache.
Spun the wrong way, so looking in the wrong spot. Worked it out and spun the correct way and grabbed it.
Quite a complicated riddle there. Instead I opted for searching at the closest logical hiding area and struck gold.
Day 19 of our northern adventures with RoddyC, Snickersallan GrannySmith 1947 caching in and around Townsville for some challenge and targeted caches.
A puzzle within traditional. Nice quick find.

Day nineteen of our northern trip: still completing some local Townsville challenges and oldies. Out and about with hatzofff, Snickersallan, and Grannysmith1947.
Interesting way of providing a hint. Just as well for us as our GPS had us away from here by a good bit. But it worked.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on December 15, 2020. TFTC, C&M+B&B

Thanks for hiding and giving us a reason to explore this area which is so beautiful. I have to admit the puzzle bit was puzzling so we just looked and were able to spot it.
Just as I said well have to come back for this one I put my shoes on and about to start walking then I hear bingo madigoodwin see it out of corner of her eye
After parking the geo mobile nearby with 8rodie & lockey1803 we went off on an adventure. We started by using the gps with failing to read the description not the smartest choice. after sitting down at a nearby table and ratting my brain to do the math. Took us a couple of times but after reading the description and turning the right direction I spotted it and it was in hand in no time. Nice hide
On our RDO afternoon in the Ville decided we would do a couple of caches in Riverside Gardens. This is such a beautiful area. Used the opportunity to park the car and have a quick hike. Surprised to find this little hidey hole in the bush around the houses. Have done a bit of walking around here before but never come across this lovely little spot. Zeroed in on GZ. Wasn’t happy with our numbers for working out the final location so just winged it. Found after a quick search. Enjoyed listening and watching the native wildlife and stayed a moment to take it in, surprisingly no dengue carriers this afternoon. TFTC
Caching in and around Townsville and surrounds we picked up a few caches and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

In for a souvenir hunt, took a little bit of locating but signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Sometimes you have to wonder why you miss these things the first visit. I guess the more you play, the more types of hides, and and sense of deviousness of the hiders, you become aware of. Still, this one was straightforward on this visit. Thanks for the challenge
In Townsville for a Motorhome Rally at Ross River Dam. Took the opportunity this morning to do a bit of exploring on this side of the River before the rally got into full swing. The instructions seemed straight forward enough. But no prize form us today.
DNF (a muggle free area today, so we had a good look & played the puzzle well, or so we thought) but not our cache luck today!!
We did find a spy who watched us throughout the visit (see pic) I touched him/her thinking if it doesn’t move it could possibly be the cache It didn’t move, but twitched lol

Found with LJB54. Sorry for the late log.
Went to this area specifically looking for this one after finding some others hidden a little closer together. This cache almost got the better of us until geokid noticed the more obvious answer to the puzzle and with a more focused turn spotted this one.
Nice quite area and thanks for the cache. TNLN SL

Tftc!! Abandoned the puzzle and found the cache right away. No pen, so I attached a photo.
Working for the season in the area picking up some caches along the way..found and signed log, tucked it back where it belonged...TFTC
Found it fine, didn't sign the log book as we didn't have a pen with us. TFTC!
Out for a lovely group outing with 19pjr79, geo_possum, jezza_thegeokid, oftnexplor, Phoenix freaks, maunder84 and mr & mrs choppersrule. Sneaky little hide - TFTC
Good find and a bit sneaky. Our with some fellow cachers today. Beautiful day it is as well. TFTC
That was our second attempt and finally found it! . Nice and sneaky find but we needed a stick to get it out. Small but brilliant! Loved it.
Awesome spot, very peaceful. Would have brought a snack if we'd known.
Cunningly hidden and cache is in good condition. Hadn't brought a pen, so took photo evidence instead.

Managed to get this, but only just with the tips of my toes and the tips of my fingers! Hubby spotted and I made the retrieval. TFTC!
After grabbing the close by letterbox, Frullet Jr wanted more treasure so we wandered over to have a look for this one. I searched high and searched low and Frullet Jr gave up. I was more determined to claim the prize and finally I spotted the much sort after container. Thanks C&M+B&B for the challenge.
Take took a little bit...but worth the effort once the cache was spotted. Should have gone with my first thought, but all turned out well and the log was eventually signed.
Thanks for another one C&B+B&B....

Day 3 Townsville today for a week, set up in the caravan park
Today was more of the RRPT, Lovie Dovie & a few extras that we passed.
Took us along a great walk along the river & some very scenic places.
We were lucky here as we spotted the cache, so no number crunching for us.
Thanks for placing this cache C&M+B&B

Found with Rituamunro today instantly after he spent 2 hours looking in the dark last night.
Second Townsville cache for today, will stop at two.
Took me some time to find this one as I was too sure of the hiding place.
All in good condition even as it has been almost six months since last log.
Thanks for letting me add another happy face to my Townsville caching map

Replaced the full log today, I have removed the pen so there is more room for larger log. I also have marked the approx. location with UV paint, so if you cant find it during day time come back when its dark with UB/black light torch. Bring your own pen. Have FUN!

So, I decided to go for a drive this weekend.
Headed out from Mackay on Saturday and headed for Clermont.
Not enough so went to Charters Towers and stayed the night.
Done a few caches in Charters and then headed for Townsville.
Stayed the night and headed home on Monday.
Glad it was a long weekend.

Nice quick find, as soon as I spied the man made structure, thought it must in there somewhere, and bingo, soon had prize in hand, TFTC
After arriving at GZ we thought 'this cache could be anywhere'. After rereading the description we did the little puzzle contained within, Bear did the little twirl and the cache was spied. Using the Bear's long arms we quickly had the cache grabbed, signed and replaced.
Another Townsville cache ticked off the list.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there C&M+B&B. We found your cache "Lovie Dovie" at 11:09:00 AM today.
This was our 1st cache find in a caching run of 8 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9799.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014. Our route today took us to some really wonderful & scenic locations.
800 doesn't make any sense 80 is better though. [/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 19mfrom where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

A nice quiet area to visit. Would look very different in the wet season I'm sure. A Bowerbird has set up camp on the intersection and made plenty of noise to scare us off. Long arms were very helpful when retrieving the cache.
Was a little tricky but found it with the smallest pencil I have seen Cap a little tight TFTC
It was a bit of a hard to reach and see cache but it is fun and in a nice bush yard. When you do it watch the view.
Lol luv the hint.. but seriously how long is your arm?? Lol
Nice quiet spot..

We had previously met up with JackyLegs44 for a spot of caching this morning. It was nice to put another few faces to names/logs.

I liked the sound of no muggles so I headed here after lunch - was a lot further to drive from Subway than the 936m in a straight line! Parked and walked down the path where my phone said it was in a tree well before the likely spot. I then read the description and did the maths which didn't help as I had no idea of my direction so just looked until I spotted something. Tricky to open but got it and signed.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Did a couple of 360s before finding it. Nice to find muggle free cache. TFTC
Out and about with MPP and RobS72 to grab some new caches and find some that have been on the radar for far too long. This was our first find for the day. I was directing everbody in the wrong direction due to my compass not being calibrated but we found it eventually. Thanks C&M+B&B for the cache.
Lovin' the fresh caches being published! Took us a little while to find this one but find it we did.

Out caching with MattCNS and Mtn Pygmy Possum this afternoon. Arrived at the GZ and Matt was first to spot the prize after a brief search.
