Not reading any logs, hints or activity is never encouraged, as this debacle turned out.
Still, i had a good long bushbash discovering many odd ends while doing so.
one day i'll geocache more prudently.
For sure it'll still be there despite our failures.

15-May-20
Another dnf. Smallwombat did his wombat business in the bush whilst I was bike guardian. He hunted and scratched and dug around, but alas! Not today.

Have to look again another day.

Thought we would have to give up on this one. Read the logs and realised it was very visible and then luckily it was spied! Yes, as the logs say, it is very obvious when you spot it.

After finding Lizzie thought it only fair I find her run away child. With luck on my side I found him quite quickly. I had gone in too far was working on my plan of attack when I saw him just there in front of me. Asked if he wanted to go back home to mum but he was quite settled here. Signed and left him. TFTC.

Fantastic little cache!

03-Jan-18
Took way longer than it should have. This one is in plain sight but hard to see until after you find it! Loved the hunt! Signed and returned.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us. Wink

Staying a few days in Maroochydore, Today Mr Felix had a medical appointment in Buderim and of course just had to attempt a few caches afterwards. Wink

Cache was trying its dead-level best not to be seen, but persistence paid off for me here today. I unintentionally cleared out quite a few spider webs and displaced several of the eight-legged beasts in the process. Thanks for a great hide sonybubs.

21-Aug-17
After finding the nearby Lizzie's Lair, I decided that I should grab this one also.

I did a bit of unnecessary bush bashing before arriving at GZ.

A short search revealed what I was after.

The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.

All is good with this cache.

While staying at Nambour, I just had to get out and find a few caches with my geodog Scruffy.

2nd try at this one .. beats me how I missed it last time .. Red Face

All Good .. TFTC .. Smile

What made this more difficult for me was watching out for trenches covered by undergrowth and numerous spider webs. TftC.

08-Jun-17
This is my 2nd attempt at this one and I was searching everywhere, finally I decided to Paf. They gave me some narrowed down info which is kind of the what I was thinking. So I decided to expand my search area and then from the edge of the bushland I saw it Wooo Hoooo. Quickly signed and on my way. TFTC Smile

After finding Lizzie we thought we'd better look for her offspring too. This one was more on my own though as my daughter preferred looking for four-leafed clovers! Took me a while but I was determined to find it after other cachers had mentioned it is in plain sight. And bang, there it was! TFTC Smile

Found Ok

15-Dec-16
After finding Lizzie's Lair, I set off across the park for this one. I was a bit concerned because there was a load of muggles in the skate park but fortunately the GPS took me out of their view. A quick search the cache was soon found. TFTC sonybubs Smile

Found it this was the second time I had looked for this cache and after a dismal attempt the first time I was a bit reluctant to try again. I took grillataktix along and sure enough he had found it in about 2 mins. Like previous posts I stood there scratching my head on how I had missed this the first time. Well done tftc

18-Nov-16
OK, I couldn't find Lizzie's Lair but found her offspring. Again it is one of those caches that you can look for a while and then when you see it you wonder how you missed it. TFTC sonybubs.

We stopped by here for a quick find on our way to pick up our grandsons for the day. The sneaky hide took a little longer than anticipated but Mrs Just a Trifle looked just the right way and spotted the container.

Thank you sonnybubs for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

This one proved way much harder than it had to be, and had us searching far and wide. Eventually SNJ stood on it, and CP made the laughing find. Nice cache thanks.

After a week of staying up the coast for work I invited Swellerfungus and Crookedpete up for a night of geocaching debauchery. After a week of perfect weather that I was not able to enjoy, my first free time was blighted by a sudden change in the weather bearing strong wind and drizzle, but we bravely headed out after dinner to grab some caches in the local area including this one. TFTC

15-Jan-16
Found with SeffnJarah and Swellerfungus on a late night caching run.

With the rain starting, we needed a quick find. The camo was good, but eventually Seff, with his eagle eyes, spotted Lizzie's offspring

Many thanks, sonybubs

I am up on the Sunny coast for a few days of caching. Mainly hitting some paddling caches, but that leaves some spare time in the afternoon to fill in.

I had a list of very selective caches I wanted to find and this was one of them.

Early afternoon was a good time to head out here. I did not see anybody at all. I though that this might take a while, but good co-ords made for a very short hunt. Big Grin

We found this one after finding the nearby Lizzie's Lair. Once we got close to GZ we had to pretend to be bird watching while a group of kids rode past on their bikes. Once they had gone we conducted our search and eventually spotted the well hidden cache. TNLNSL TFTC

I was planning to visit this cache after finding Lizzie's Lair.
However, due to Mushroom Man and muggle kids lurking everywhere, I decided to leave it for another time.

16-Nov-14
I was on my way back from Nambour after acquiring some new GC'ing real estate Big Grin and thought that it was about time that I got these few caches in this park. To be honest, they were starting to bug me as I would see them every time I drove past.

I went in for the hunt of Lizzie's little offspring first and with Muggle kids playing at the skate park and an older Muggle walking her dog, I had a few eyes to dodge. I disappeared into GZ and started ferreting around. I looked high and low and in here and over there and it was not until I was just about to pack it all in that I found the cache. The most annoying part about this cache is, IT'S JUST SITTING THERE IN PLAIN SIGHT!!!!

Thanks for the great cache 'sonybubs'. The offspring is in good order and I am now off to find Mum.

16-Nov-14
Continue on through the park after finding Lizzie. Lots happening at the skate park and some detectives looking for something along the park edge. No-one seemed to find us suspicious, luckily.
Baby Lizzie proved quite difficult to locate even though she was in plain sight. We wandered in circles numerous times, trying to figure out what was relevant to the hint. Must have passed by the cache 10 times before J was just looking at the right level and grabbed it. So obvious now - how did we miss it?Red Face

Captain Terror and I were in the area for the weekend and after setting up the tent and cleaning the canoe we decided to go for a short drive and grab some extra geocaches. We pulled up in a side street and headed down the path towards GZ.

When we got there we started searching different areas. We had been searching for quite some time when we widened our search. I headed back towards the grass a bit and the Captain headed further in. He called me over a minute or so lately saying that he had found it. We signed our names in the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache sonybubs.

It had been a big afternoon of canoeing for Net88 and I, grabbing some geocaches. Now we had retired from that, set up our tent, cleaned the canoe and in the car for a few finds on dry land before we hunted down some food. A couple of icons in this park attracted us and having parked not far away, legged it in to this spot.

The GPSr sent us to a likely zone and we began looking about the suspect areas. It took a few minutes and a lot of looking, but I spotted it without too much hassle and called Net over. We signed the logbook before putting back as found. It was getting pretty shady out, but decided we could find one more before night. TFTC sonybubs Smile

#478 Out caching with Snap Happy today. After waiting for the kids to finish school we all headed to this park for a hunt. Kids had too much energy to look for the hide so they played in the park while Snap Happy and I continued our search. We looked high, we looked low, we nearly looked everywhere then I hear "I got something" We signed the log and went to round the kids up. Nice hide. ~ TFTC sonybubs
