Our time living in Melbourne has come to an end and it's day 1 of the great journey north to our new town.
This is the first cache for the day, as geoD did some checks on the trailer it was geoP who ventured off taking the path of least blackberry to make the find.

A very long way from home!
As are we. Followed the geohiway to gz. Battled our way through a myriad of colourful little spiders along the way.
Thanks for the laugh Robmc.

Really a long way from home for both us and the cache. Quick find, but stay out of the blackberry. TFTC!
Busy here on the Grand Final holiday, but still got a park and some food quickly enough. We detoured through some blackberry on the way to the cache, but found a less thorny way out. We liked the hide. Thanks Robmc
My first find on the way to Mt Buller, I've got a geocaching day before hitting the slopes. That's probably my earliest find at 6 am just as sun is going up. Cheers
#3623 Found by Mr BGF returning home from Melb for work. Having negotiated the city crawl on peak, I needed a refreshment. As you say, it's always nice to get to Wallan just past the Northern Hwy interchange, the traffic thins out nicely by this point! Biggest fear getting the cache was slipping when ascending up the short sharp very wet and muddy slope. Small careful steps and the crafty container was in hand. TFTC Robmc.
Stopped here with McLookers for a quick coffee, and had time to find this cache. Thanks Robmc.
Stopped here for a refuel today. Went the trickier way in, blackberries and all. Found an easier way out with no prickles. Thanks Robmc, found with Motndarg.
Definitely lost! Long way from home. Quick pit stop and quick find. Gps circling. TFTC
Found with tassie expat while exploring this great area on the way north. Initially thought my phone was out but it centred in quite accurately. Tftc
Very busy today at this stop,
While some were waiting for food we went for a stroll to find this cache. Great hide, found with jackez74 TFTC

A quick stop on the way back from visiting my loved one in Melbourne. A strange little detour from the carpark to find this cache, nicely hidden away from the masses. Cute container - yep, definitely far from home, poor thing. TFTC
Awesome container,Definatly a ling way from home..tyftc found with Cached Up Mummies
Found it as part of a few that I picked up today on my return for the Airport. Cache was in good condition. And as the title says makes this one a great cache in a great spot. Last one for the day TFTC.
I found the terrain from the north a bit more than a 1.5, due to the hill up. Cool cache and managed to find it, sign it and return it before the rain came. TFTC

Find #9922
Driving up to the "Summer in the High Country" event at Bogong with buhfuhguh, we decided this was a good spot to stop for a spot of dinner on the way to the campsite. Nothing too taxing here. Cache found and replaced without trouble.
Many thanks to Robmc for the cache. TNLN.

So what is the plan for this weekend, well simple to go and attend the event on Mt Bogong and grab a couple caches whilst up the mountain. So after meeting up with Ahomburg and packing the car, we were off.
Upon getting in the car I told him that I had not made my daily find and still needed to grab one whilst on the way up, maybe whilst grabbing a bite to eat.
After getting some chain store fried chicken, Ahomburg and I headed off and grabbed this cache.
Soon enough it was in hand and we continued on our way to the campsite. Anyways thanks for the cache.

For Christmas the family have given me 4 nights accommodation at Albury so this morning I decided that I would miss the traffic and head out really early which meant that I skipped breakfast. Once sufficiently clear of the Melbourne traffic I pulled over for a coffee and a bite to eat.
This was a quick find. Luckily I parked at the correct end of the car park. TFTC.

Heading home with Roostaman, after attending the Melbourne mega.
Being a nice sunny day, we picked up a few caches along the way.

My last day of my caching holiday, and I spent most of it driving back to Sydney. While I couldn't find as many caches as I wanted, I still managed to get my hands on 23, which brought my total finds up to 11,111!
I had an enjoyable and relaxing week of caching. Sad it had to finish so soon... until next time.
Thanks for the cache.

Third day of my caching trip to Victoria. Today I started in Werribee, then on to the You Yangs ( including a parkrun) and back to Melbourne for the main reason off the trip, the parkville event. Again lots of caches, mostly easy, quick and painless. Lots of fun in this region, so a massive thanks to all the cahe owners!

I'm in Melbourne for a few day's with Horsesrule1990, heading to the event and to pick up as many caches as possible. Once the Melbourne Mega raps up we will head to the Gold Coast , for a few day hitting all the fun parks. Then heading back to Western Australia, and back to Work. Would like to thank everyone for there caches and there efforts hiding then for us to find.all Tftc.
I had plans made to travel to Morwell, VIC for a surprise family b'day party and had made the decision to drive as I wanted to collect a large part for the new GeoUte in VIC. I had told FurfacesLL #1 of my plans and being she is off work at the moment, I soon had a driving companion for the journey. The weekend was alot of fun, many km's covered, some random locations visited, a nice range of caches found, a number of visits to the Mel Airport and all in all, a fantastic weekend.
Thanks for the cache hide Robmc was another great GeoAdventure across NSW and VIC

So the tales of dangerous creatures in the Australian bush are true. This one was unexpected. TFTC.
Wow! Sure is a long way from home. Plenty of muggles about & a bit slippery under foot. Quick find though by geohubby.

Headed up the Hume with Simsfamily and Neville Devil on a mission to complete Mt Disappointment, collect a 100 in a day and finish the Mystical Creatures souvenirs. It was a wet, cold day but it didn't dampen our enthusiasm.
After a slippery ascent and first blood drawn for the day. Didn't stop us finding the cache.
Log signed and replaced as found

1st find in AUS. spent a week in Melbourne but finally found time to do some caching in the way to the capital. TFTC
Great cache. Definitely one of the more interesting that I've stopped format a service centre. TFTC
#2876 After walking up the embankment, the cache was a quick find as I head back home to Canberra. TFTC Robmc.
Out for the day, caching as 8ex+1 (80degrees, echidna44, xambo4u & au.fait) we stopped for this one on our way to Mt Disappointment driving lesson. We clambered a little as blackberries are starting to spread in the area. Well hidden cache, safe and dry. Thanks Robmc
Travelling up this way with Geokid1. A straightforward find, cool container. We enjoyed a few of the nearby ripe blackberries too. TFTC Robmc.
On the way back to Canberra after visiting family. Quick stop and an easy find. Thanks RobMc from the other RobMc (CT).
Checked this cache on our way north.
Replaced the broken container with something slightly different.
The spiders must have gone to an Australia Day BBQ, as we saw none.

We have moved camp again, stopping at Broardford near the bowling club. After completing amother section of Mount Dissapointment we discovered the the towns of Wandong, Wallan & Darraweit Guim.
We enjoyed our drive through this rural countryside. A large type of caches in various hides were found.

Having fun breaking up the trip on the way home from all the Christmas traffic and grab this one on the way thankyou co
This was the last one for the day as we really need to get to Shepparton. It is some distance from Geelong after 4 events and a full day of caching. How appropriate the name is to me today. Thanks for the cache.
Must say we are curious what you were doing up here? The cache was quickly found although it was rather dark by now. Thanks for the reason to stop and stretch and thanks for the cache.
sure am a long way from home. most enjoyable way to see aussie is with a few cachers.
And of course we went at it from the wrong direction, that corrected a quick find was made. TFTC
Found with DiamonJs and joojoo57 in between doing the nearby 'mighty trail'. Good hide and nice scenery here.

After a trip to the Royal Children's Hospital we thought we would grab some caches on the way home! Tackled the black berries & felt like we were going on a bear hunt! Thanks for so much fun! TFTC.
6574 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1000 on our way back to The Rock after a couple of days of caching in the south. Up until just the last week or so, some of these hides wouldn't show on our map for some reason. Now we can stop and find as we drive back and forth. SL Tnx Robmc
Found with Schmominic. Hilarious cache, lots of laughs when found. Pretty serious terrain to get around right now with grass and blackberries, but got there in the end. TFTC!

It was a little bit tough navigating to this cache through the bush and blackberry's. I couldn't find a very well worn path either but I found one that was good enough.
A quick find once at GZ, cute container I like it
Thanks Robmc!

Our last day in Australia and in Melbourne. With our rental car we decided to visit the oldest cache of Melbourne. On our way and at the way back we found also this one.
We love Australia and for sure we will return to this beautiful country.
Greetings from The Netherlands.
Robmc hartelijk dank voor het leggen en onderhouden van deze cache.
Wij loggen op de kleine of natte logrollen met onze initialen TGM, grotere logrollen of boekjes met onze volledige teamnaam of onze teamstempel.

Gotcha! Walked towards GZ- nup. Oh, up there.... began the trek up and soon discovered a likely hiding spot. Lots of flies - must be the rotting fish Tftc
I prefer my black berries for breakfasts or desert

What a lovely and different cache container that we not only found the log book in it but quite a few small ants have taken up residence as it makes a good home for them! Blackberry bushes are taking over this area well and truly, unfortunately.
TFTC Robmc - always good to find another one of yours on the hyway - much appreciated.

After doing some caching round Wallan , we were off to Wandong to do some more. We were in need of some petrol so stopped here to get some, and while we were here well of course we would have to grab the cache.
I wonder what they think when they see all the people wandering up into the bushes on their security camera. I hate to imagine what they think we are doing.
Anyways, we know we are just satisfying our caching addiction!
This one really is like a fish out of water, that is for sure!
Thanks for the diversion Robmc!
