Back this morning after completing a nearby Wherigo cartridge last weekend, which needed a bit of help on one or two answers from the cache owner.Got here before the crowds this morning and soon had the cache in hand. Log extracted and signature applied.Working my way slowly through the whereigo series and picking up the local caches along the way.A big thanks to the cache owner for all the hard work and effort that is required to place and maintain these caches Cheers

Out 'n About chasing down the GCLOGAN newly released WIG's and multis...This cache was in the vicinity of our targets, so picked it up along the way, very quiet here today for a not so quick find, took awhile to source the right tree and a short climb required, TFTC Cantcacheus2014

It is Day 6 of the GCLOGAN events and we had couple of different areas where we cached today, depending on the plans of the day. We were searching for quite a while, then decided to read logs of previous finders. Interesting that the challenge is only for shorter people ....So we looked higher, spotted this cache, climbed up and signed the log.Tftc Cantcacheus2014

Back over from NZ to attend the GCLogan events over the coming week. With a day to spare before day zero, I headed out to search for a few close ones. This cache has been on my watchlist ever since I was here in 2018 and I recorded a DNF then, despite searching for quite a while. It seems like it is genuinely a tricky one, but there had been enough finds over the years, for me to make today the day to avenge the DNF.Well once again, I spent a good 20 minutes searching both likely GZ's as the GPS was bouncing a bit. Then suddenly, from just the right angle, I spotted what I was after, and then wondered, how I could have missed it for so long. Once seen, you can't unsee it ... !!! A little bit of a scramble and the log was signed. Blue grumpy gone ... TFTC

After some times, searching in the wrong location, found with some clues

24-Jun-23
After a slow walk to the general area, without the geodog as he preferred to stay in the car. I think he would have enjoyed the walk but it was not to be. We didn't spot the cache easily I told we read a few past logs which had us hunting in the right spot. Then angled my body into position and did the signing duties. Tftc

We skimmed past this one last time we were caching in the area and had no luck. This time, looking at previous finds we stopped looking down and started looking up. Took a while with 3 of us searching but eventually got our hands on the log. Good hide! Cheers!

Out for the day with nikid1 visiting the dark side. I really enjoyed our walk around this great parkland even if it was a little chilly. This one was about 9m off coords for me but nikid1 managed to find it pretty quickly & made the climb up to grab it & add our names to the log.
Thanks for the cache Cantcacheus2014

Out for a day of caching with KerriMG and we discovered this lovely parkland. We were lucky that we searched the correct tree first and I spied the cache very quickly. Since I’m short a tree climb would be needed. I have trouble opening and more importantly closing these while holding onto a tree. But cuddling the tree I managed both tasks.
At home I found a great looking bruise on my stomach, not really sure when I got it, but maybe it was here.

27-Sep-21
This was up next, and it took a bit more effort searching for this one! After a good 10 minutes, the geo cousin had the eyes to spot the sneaky container! Unfortunately in the descent, the log sheet was lost and after a good search, we trudged away with a leaf placed in the bison as the new logsheet. However, the geo-cousin yet again had the eyes and spotted the log! Now signed and replaced as found! Thanks Cantcacheus2014 for a memorable adventure!

After our snap three day lockdown I thought I’d find a cache or three... having never been here before I had no idea what to expect... that’s some mighty long grass... I waded thru the grass to GZ... having read some logs I had an idea what I was looking for... I ended up about 8m from my GZ... in the process of marking my mark, the aforementioned long grass came in handy, as I hid from a group of passing muggles...

Thanks Cantcacheus2014... and I still say I can’t climb a tree...

I have passed this many times on the way to or from my own caches. This is always on my bike, and the terrain rating on this one has stopped from looking. I don't climb well in my bike shoes.

A casual conversation with another cacher recently suggested that this cache was not so hard to get to, despite the rating.

Out to replace my nearby cache today and I stopped for a look. The previous log helped narrow down GZ. Only one spot there I could go any distance, so off I went and there it was. Cool

Found in the tree just south of the posted coordinates.
All good here.

On a day trip up from the Gold Coast with E_Smiley and Tenkae on a very cold autumn day.
This was our second visit here after not being able to has a decent search last time due to the inclement weather conditions.
Took a bit of searching but once at the right tree the cache was found soon enough. Thanks CO for the neat hide

Was a DNF here 2 years ago with a mob of cachers. I didn't attempt to climb as it was wet and slippery. Today we searched on the wrong tree. We moved to another one, surprisingly the distance was still 3m on our smartphone. The cache was exposed so it was a quick find!
Thanks for the cache Cantcacheus2014. We replaced it where we think the CO would like it to be.

I attend this park somewhat regularly for parkrun on Saturday mornings but there are far too many muggles around then to have a go at this. Dropped down after work and could search easily. Very overgrown but soon had cache in hand

This whole park was an amazing discovery and well worth a visit as it is well maintained and attractive throughout.
I stomped my way in here in case of snakes but heard and saw nothing.
After a bit of Tarzan stuff, I was surprised to find the cache right next to me.
All is good here so TFTC!

Geoboy and I went for a walk this morning to grab caches we couldn't get on a family outing recently. A lovely day for a walk and a wander in this park.
Geoboy was a chatterbox all the way to GZ, then got very serious once we stepped off the path. He took one side of GZ and I took the other, and a couple of minutes later he calls out 'found it'. He is getting good at this game! I had to retrieve the cache but we quickly signed and returned.

Last one for today and wow what an awesome park!! Lots of people enjoying a glorious winters day on this lovely Sunday afternoon . I promised my doggy a walk and with the park so busy we decided to make a beeline for this Cache and come back another time for the rest. I had seen in checking out the this one has recently been checked by the CO and had a substantial amount of unloved days on it. Challenge accepted . My hubby, doggy and I headed off into the reserve seeing quite a few other dog walking folk and a few kids on bikes . Soon enough we were in the vicinity and I left the boys on the path as I headed in via the grass. I checked out a few possible options and not seeing anything from the ground, I advised the hubby which one I wanted him to check out further . We swapped jobs and hubby was up and victorious immediately!! Wow didn’t expect it to be that easy! Hubby brought the log for me to sign and then he shimmied back up to replace as found. Great to get some more unloved days towards that challenge . With that we wandered back to the car and home for a rest. Tftc

10-Jul-18
Good Day,

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

GeoCrater

As per the other DNF’s I wasn’t able to find this tricky one. The trees were super slippery and I’m already such an awkward tree climber. Hopefully we’ll be able to turn this into a smile one day.
Thank you for bringing us here CCU14!

After attending 2 WWFM events and getting a FTF we decided to see the cache with 20 FP nearby and since this was on the way, we better have a look as well.

We spent quite a lot of time on our first visit even the council guy helped. He warned us about red bellied snakes in the area as there's lots of frogs in the swamp. But when he learned we're geocachers he hang around and looked for it too!

We had another 10-minute thorough look on our way back. Still no luck.

Thanks for taking us here Cantcacheus2014. We'll be back when it's drier and safer. I didn't have my proper climbing shoes on and the branches/trees were slippery.

Over from NZ to try and escape the cold windy wet weather, but I'm not sure we totally managed that. Today however was much better and after attending both flash mob events, I managed to invite myself along with three friendly local cachers to look for some more this afternoon. We were joined by another group as well, so that made eight of us on a ramble around Riverdale.

The picnic tables were all occupied, so we bypassed those and headed off to this cache. However, even with eight pairs of eyes and climbing here and climbing there over quite a wide radius around indicated GZ for a good 30 minutes, no cache was located. So either the camo is exceptional or we are all blind or just maybe it is MIA. Found a nice big spider guarding one possible hiding place though, which was a pertinent reminder to a Kiwi about the dangers of Aussie geocaching that we don't really have at home. Thx anyway.

This was the groups second visit here today. All the trees were very wet and slippery, hard to get any traction to go too high though, but after reading previous logs we were not sure as to what group of trees the cache would actually be hidden in as GPS readings were all different. All trees were inspected by those that volunteered to risk slipping but each came up empty handed. Will have to return when the location is much drier and of course after it has been found by someone else.
Thanks for the good hide Cantcacheus2014

After the flash mob event nearby, snickersallan, neversayDi, 0b80b8, E(:, Imbunda, nature0nut came to find a few caches here. Unfortunately two visits today, we didn't locate this tricky hide. Trees wet from recent rain made climbing difficult. Also unsure which one.
Will have to come back another time and look some more.

Boy oh boy what a feat but no cache came to light. We had been to a Event not too far away and some of us decided that we needed caches in this area but this was not to be. There were climbers and lookers but no prize. I'll be back one day.

I'd just finished a night shift out this way, and decided I had some time to have another search for this one. After my DNF last time here, I went back home and red a few more logs. A couple seemed to be suggesting I needed to step up a bit. So this time around I employed that strategy. At first searching at ground zero where my GPSr was telling me to concentrate my search I was having no luck whatsoever!
So after about twenty more minutes I decided to move further afield and try my luck stepping up there. The first area I went to I couldn't find anything either! I was beginning to get quite frustrated with this search. Thinking it must have been muggled or something [?]
Then I moved to another spot about ten meters off ground zero and used the same search tactic. That's when I put my hand onto something and very quickly discovered that "something" was the cache container I'd been looking for! Big Grin
So finally found it, albeit at 10 meters from ground zero according to my GPSr this morning at least.
The log sheet was extracted and I saw rocky's signature from September, and added mine underneath his [^] Then everything was replaced back as I found it. All is ready for the next geocacher to come in here and find it for themselves (it is there!) [8d]
So with my daily cache found I was off back home to get some rest, as another night shift tonight.
Thanks for the cache Cantcacheus2014 Smile

Challenge accepted. First attempt: DNF.

I'd just come over to this one via Mortein (I like to work back from furthest caches) and commenced my search here at ground zero.
I searched for about twenty minutes I think it was, but I just couldn't spot this camo micro [?]
Anyhow, I ran out of time so had to get going, but I'll no doubt come back for another try some other day as I work out near here and gradually picking up caches before and after shifts when I get the time.
Hopefully I'll have better luck next time Sad

Now that it is day time, much easier. Look for the obvious place a cacher would hide something.

6/09/2016, 12:33 PM Find #1119

Quick, easy find. After reading previous logs, I didn't waste time but just chose a likely spot and climbed up to have a look, finding it almost immediately.

Interestingly, there is a name in the log from March which hasn't been logged online.

I was up this way today trying to make the area smile and succeeded with all but one, why does there always have to be ONE!!!!

My first had ended sadly with a DNF so I was hoping for a find here but it was obviously going to be another tricky hide.

As I approached GZ I spotted a good target and after a little bit of maneuvering I had the cache in hand YES!!!!!!

It took a lit more shifting but I soon had the log in hand and I was happy!!!

Nice Hide Cantcacheus TFTC SL

I parked what felt like 200 km from GZ. Along the way I found several hundred better parking spots for next time. I wandered on in. The GPS-r had me between two trees and I couldn't determine which tree it was in. It must be well hidden because I couldn't see it from the ground. I will have to come back with some equipment because I can't see me getting my fat butt up either of those trees.

12-Apr-15
We left the path and picked our way very carefully between the newly planted trees toward GZ. The tree cover had the GPSrs between two sets of possible trees, so we started searching at the one less crowded by cobblers pegs and other assorted weeds but naturally, it was in the denser section! Once we'd spotted a fork that seemed the most likely to hold a cache, The Marble cleared the webs from the tree and up I went. I was glad to see it wasn't actually camoed, as I was in a precarious position, but managed to unscrew it one-handed and toss it down. The return climb was easier, now that I knew where it was, and I could bring both hands into play to hide it again. I wonder if you could harness the mozzies from the adjoining swamp and sort of fly up to the cache? TFTC, Cantcacheus2014. =^.^=

I had 4 caches in the park to find. I had found one and then decided that I would come back later to find the second and then I headed to this one.

I noted the terrain rating and when I arrived at the location I decided that I knew where the cache would be and again it was time to get the assistance of PAT.

The trouble was I was now over 600m from the car but I managed to get PAT back here and that made it a simple job to extract the cache from the spot which I had determined that the cache would be in.

So I had considered keeping on walking to the further out cache, but decided to give this a go first and time permitting get the other further out. Turns out this one took a little longer then I thought it might and happens to be the last one for today.

Anyway as i approached I did a little reading and sure enough my worst fears were confirmed, there may be a little bit of a challenge in retrieving this one. A little bit of wandering around trying to get the phone and GPSr to somewhat agree on where I should be looking, but seems neither could. But the best option I could see was chosen and up I went.

I checked everywhere I could and was soon was on the phone continuing a chat with a previous finder, and actually asked for some help. Turns out a photo may have been available to assist a little, well opps seems I am still up the wrong tree, time to fix that up. A relocation and a bit easier way up soon had me with cache in hand.

With the log retrieved I happily added my name and got things back in place. Turns out it was getting late so it was a dash back to the car and a quick trip back to Cleveland for Fathers Day dinner.
