Stopped to check but not where I last remember seeing the cache so will have to replace on the weekend.
Finally got back here...nice and dry.
Had a good look from below but could not see so didn't go further.
Probably time for new glasses

I did a few tentative laps around tree and willed
my eyes to catch a glimpse of cache from below, with no success on either front!
It was rather wet after the rain so I didn't attempt a climb. I'm disappointed but it's such a nice area that I'll look forward to coming back another time when it is dryer.

Stopped in for a check and cache can be spotted from below and still an easy ascent to grab
I’m not having much luck today but, when I got to this one, after reading the previous log, I was able to spot it from the ground and it didn’t look as bad as the terrain rating and lack of recent finds made me suspect. A couple of quick steps and a reach and I had the log in hand. Thanks for maintaining this OrionJ
After completing a few Older QLD geocaches recently Seffnjarah and I both independantly realised there were a few outstanding closer to home that still needed our ttention. A plan was hatched to head south for the day, and pick up some other unloved caches and a few more intersting ones.
CrookedPete needed to return for fatherly duties, so left SNJ and I to cache on alone. It wasnt all bad though - we seemed to be able to find caches much faster without him!
I managed to locate this one from the ground and watched SNJ head up to retrieve it.Being of slight stature meant he needed to use a booster to help reach the beast.
Thanks for the cache.

Being the detail-orientated J.E.F.F. App that I am I had planned out a nice list of caches in a particular driving order to most efficiently utilise our time and cover the least distance. Of course Crookedpete threw all those preparations out the window when we had to readjust the order of things to accomodate his deadline to be at his son's soccer game. After his departure I was having a rather stressful time tryng to readjust the list - a rather poor effort resulted in us zigzagging across the suburbs and ended up back here. Being knee high to a Coke bottle, I wasn't the best choice to try and retrieve this one but with Swellefungus still recovering from his attempted involuntary breast-augmentation surgery with a broken tree branch a couple of weeks ago I was the only option. I was a couple of centimeters short of getting a good grip to open the conatiner and had to resort to a boost with a paver laying about nearby. This was just enough to get enough torque to open the cache with the tips of my fingers and dropped the logbook down for Swellerfungus to actually contribute something and sign the logbook. TFTC
Our 300th cache and what a great one!! After looking high and low, read the hint and had a bit of a climb. There it was. Such a nice circuit ride. Have done it in 2 rides. TFTC
My caching buddy had been with the CO when he replaced this cache, but couldnt remember where it had been placed. We searched for a while, but, failing to locate it, a call was placed to the CO. With his assistance, the cache was soon located and my name added to the log. TFTC
I love a tree climb and I'm a bit of a tree hugger myself, so I was excited walking to this cache! Up and down, up and down, up and down.. I climbed so high that for a while I thought I was stuck but in all my scurrying I couldn't find the cache! Did a PAF but alas, it wasn't where it should be - tried the leaf litter under the tree but no sign of it! At least I have another excuse to climb this amazing tree again one day
Out with RoddyC and diamonjs to find some caches in the area.
I had previously been here but with a muggle watching the area we left without a find.
Today we could not locate the cache so RoddyC put in a help call to the friendly CO and he came straight away with a backup cache.
No sign of the last cache anywhere.
Signed the log of the replacement cache and now tree can be hugged once more.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks OrionJ All good with this cache

After the last DNF and a call from RoddyC since I was in the area stopped and got it back in place.
Caching day around Ormiston in the company of DiamonJs and Team Benders In a hot steamy day we gathered in 15 finds and no DNFs.
The Tree Hugger didn't want to come out to play today. No matter where we looked, a cache could not be seen. It was time to PAF, after all he lives "just around the corner" . . Within a few minutes it was confirmed that the cache was MIA, but a backup was in hand. Literally! [:o)]
After we had signed it, a new cache was proudly hugging a tree. [:o)]
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 3.00pm on 21st December 2016. TFTC

Out with barbbowman this morning, this cache was on our hit list. Barbb had been here before without success, but it was time for another go. We were able to park the car 30 m from GZ - Monty the mini fit perfectly in the great parking spot - and up we went. It took Barb about 30 seconds to find the cache this time. YAY! I loved the GZ it's in a pretty spot. TFTC OrionJ
after coffee with the new co and finding a couple for rio to finish a challenge this was next on our todo list
i knew exactly where to look this time ... oh yes i did have my hand on it last visit [B)]
such a beautiful tree was nice to share the spot with my friend

Feeling amorous I returned to continue tree hugging and keep the local mosquito population fed.
Finally the magnificent specimen relinquished to my advances and revealed the sought after scroll.
Glad this one has turned into a yellow smillie, running out of hiding holes to explore... **TFTC**

On a roll, its my third DNF for the day. Will either buck up or relinquish my membership.
Hugged the biggest tree repeatedly and nearby ones for good measure. My acts of affection were however without reward.
Feeling rejected I moved away vowing to return another day!

This was one we had looked for ages ago but it was late in the day and the there was not enough light to make a find. In the meantime it had moved a little and we decided to have another go today since we needed some unloved days for a challenge. After parking nearby we headed to GZ and Mr LHE Duo started the hunt. In the end we needed a little help to make the find but were able to add our name to the log. TFTC
Skipped this one when I noticed the change in difficulty for the terrain - don't have the right footwear. Will have to return better prepared next time
Out for a day of caching with barbbowman.
Next, we made our way to this one. The coords put us at a particular spot where the terrain rating looked to be about right. We clambered up and down and round about. No sign of the cache

Due to the container being now hidden in a different location at the GZ, the rating has been changed from D2 / T3 to D2.5 / T3.5.
Please remember to cover the container! Happy hunting!

This has been replaced. It's in a slightly different location at the GZ.
Please ensure the container is covered to protect it against muggles.

This is still on my radar for replacement. Just need to clear a few other things out of the way before I can spend more time at the GZ designing a new, more muggle-proof hide for this.
Went to check on the cache and the container has gone walkabout. Nowhere to be seen so nothing to find here, folks, for now. Sorry about that.
When putting a new container in, I evidently need to adjust the hide to keep it more secure. The original one proved to be muggle-prone.

A fantastic walk along the waterway and a truly mighty specimen!
Thanks for leading us to such a beautiful location.

15/2/15 after chatting with the CO I was loaded with some clues to find this one. Back I went early this morning with the geodog and again began the hunt. Up and down and all around...but still no luck. I even turned up the inside floor thinking it may have fallen down but still nothing. Hopefully I have just been cache blind...but I think this one may have been muggled. TFTH and I look forward to coming back once the CO has checked it out.
15/2/15 so...some may call me obsessed but I have been thinking about this one and the DNF all day. I decided to check its logs this afternoon and noticed it had been found yesterday. Could I have missed it this morning and just been cache blind? Hhhmmmm....well I did promise my geoboy some tree climbing...so we jump in the car and back we come. This time I use the GPS to check I have the correct GZ. Yep. Geoboy starts the climb, but I take a moment to look up. Guess what....I see it. Woohoo and how did I miss that. So up I climb and I point it out to geoboy and let him make the retrieval. So glad when I finally sign our name on this one. TFTC tdimdad and I am soooooo glad to finally have this smiley.
So glad Geo Man purchased a GPS for Valentines Day because my phone had me going in the opposite direction.
If you know what you are looking for you can see it from the ground, but you have to climb.

28/12/14 This was the third cache for the series and the rain is getting slightly harder. I look around and think I have a logical spot but cant find the cache. I read the clue and think...'ok, that's where I thought'. So a step here and a stretch there I now have a better viewing point but still no cache. Now the rain is really coming down and I think "time to leave this cache and try again another day'. I'll be back. TFTH
Checked this cache and it was missing from its own hide. Thinking some [sensored] thoughts happened to come across it in a spot nearby.
The container is now up where it belongs but will require more maintenance to get it secured again. Please replace back it carefully after signing the log. [^]
Happy hunting!

Out and about on a fine Sunday to find a few caches.
I parked the car at the end of the street closest to this cache and started the walk to the remaining caches along this path from here.
I found after a bit of a search.
Thanks for the cache.

Out and about on the geocycle again looking for smiley faces. I parked near this one and set off on a tour of the Orminston area.
The bridge that connects this part of the loop did not exist when I lived on this side of town. It makes for quite a pleasant way around now.
This was a nice quick find here. I thought it might take a while with so many possible hiding spots, but I picked the right one straight away

Quick find for Cleveland girl as cache was in the open.

I came for another little drive down towards this area of Ormiston today to make my find for the day this morning. I had been eying off "Pond" however right where I was going to park and walk in from a guy was standing around smoking, so I will leave that for another morning.
Anyway I got a park pretty close by and just wandered down to take a look at the water while the GPSr warmed up. It seemed to take a little longer this morning, but it was nice looking over the almost still water that was probably sitting a little higher today after the rain over the weekend.
Once the GPSr indicated where I needed to go, I took the few steps in that direction and pretty quickly figured what I needed to do. A step here and a step there, and then just a matter of finding that right spot that I needed to be. Ahhh there we go, within seconds I was adding my name to the log and getting the container back in place.
Back to the right level and it was time to get to the car and head for work. Seems it was a bad morning for traffic though and my little side track for a cache almost resulted in my being late. Oh well it is all about priorities hey

I found the right spot easily but couldn't locate the cache after a 10 minute search and found that i had left my phone in the car, which I had parked about 100m away. I returned to the car for the phone so that I could phone a friend.
I returned to the site with the intention of making the call from the location.
I decided to look again first and amazed my self and found the cache. A bit of extra tree hugging was then required to retrieve it.

When will I learn to read the instructions? It should be no surprise that GZ came as a surprise to me. I rocked up here and pondered the likelihood of finding the cache near my feet... hmmm.
Hauled myself up and made like a human lemur, trying to hang on with my bionic arm and swing around corners
The cache was easily spotted at the right altitude and hanging from the appropriate branch Opened the cache upside-down as I realised that dropping anything would result in complications. Job done and I eased myself down backwards to avoid a slip.
Toddled off again...
TFTC tdimdad! Another neat hide!

*FTF*. After an assisted find nearby, I thought I'd give this one a spin too. It was a beautiful clear day and the target tree was nice and obvious. After discovering I had no shoes with any grip, I decided to climb barefoot, which was pretty much as painful as I'd expected. After climbing about as high as I could without any real heroics, I swung myself around one part and shazam! Came face to face with the cache. It was not quite as high up as I'd feared and from some angles was visible from the ground, so it's fair enough. TFTC tdimdad!

Just an extra note that my iPhone maps tried to tell me you could drive here from the West along Lang St. They were wrong yet again! Driving south and around is the only way if you need to take your car.
