Seems like it's no longer accessible. The pond seems to be part of private property, and we couldn't see a way in without tresspassing.
I feel i couldnt get closer due to private property. This cache might need a relocation to a better spot. Owner attention requested.
This one did take a bit of effort. Third approach from the council easement we didn’t see was the winner. Always check the terrain rating. Loved the walk in here. So pretty and peaceful. Tftc
This cache hadn’t been found in over a year, so I was pretty unsure on whether or not it would be here. After some digging (and removing over a years worth of leaves, bark and debris) the cache was in my hands!
There is a private property fence in place but you don’t need to go past it to retrieve this cache!

I saw there is an upcoming CITO in the area later this month and decided a quick maintenance run to check all the local caches are in good order.
Found original container a little worse for wear but still there with a log in. Swapped for new container and log. Happy hunting.

After reading the description we continued on here from Have a Break... unfortunately had no replacement containers... but did our best by replacing the snap lock bag.... PirateLinda is still dropping rocks... tftc...
Quick find with Peppa and Giraffe 18. Container definitely needs replacing. Not very popular this little one. Remember to approach from the south.
This is a lovely tranquil spot. There were a couple of ducks on the water, that seemed to be content. The container is quite rusty, but the log sheet is fine. TFTC
Very peaceful spot here this afternoon.
Found the hiding spot quite quickly but had to dig through 6 months of sediment to find the cache. A bit weathered but logbook still in good condition.

Out for a few hours on the Bayside turning green dots into smilies. No probs locating this one though it was rather well buried. The mint tin is super rusty and has seen better days. Nice peaceful quiet spot

This series has been my closest unfound caches to home for a very long time and I've been meaning to do them but somehow have only picked off one here and there. The CO's recent maintenance run was the prod I needed to complete the series so, on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, the geowife and I ditched the kids and headed to Wellington Point. Thanks for maintaining these caches OrionJ.
The geowife waited on the other side while I went across to make the find. After my GPSr took me too far, I double back and soon had it in hand.

Despite construction nearby there is still access to this cache and it is still in place.
A bit further on from 'Have a Break", Tricky T and I went as far as we could before coming to a closed off fenced area due to a new housing estate. The co-ordinates kept us going on a direct path to the pond nearby. Without drawing attention to the bulldozer driver in that estate, we managed to find the cache and signed it off.
Continued along the waterway path from 'Have a Break', Thought we may be blocked here as there is a major residential development happening and the path to Wellington Street is fenced off. Hopefully it will open again when building is finished. However we realised the cache was in a different direction and headed left. At GZ Swampy soon discovered the cache and all was good. Thanks Orionj
This one was lying out in the open!
We signed log and placed where we hope it belonged, making sure to add some camo. The terrain was about right with this one toward the end
Thanks for the cache tdimdad and OrionJ.

Out with RoddyC and diamonjs to find some caches in this area.
Only one way in to this cache.
Wandered in past the pond to GZ.
Arrived and the hunt was on with diamonjs coming up with the prize.
Signed the log and returned to hide.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks OrionJ All good with this cache
Back to do some more caches soon

Thought this one would be easy as there was a track straight to it, nope look again, housing has taken over. Back to where we were and a bit longer walk. TFTC
Caching day around Ormiston in the company of DiamonJs and Team Benders In a hot steamy day we gathered in 15 finds and no DNFs.
We should have read the August update! Well, back past "Have a Break" and up the green to where the old construction fence still stands amid the tall grass and weeks. Turn right and cross the creek to GZ. Now where is that tricky little cache? What? How would I describe that hiding place? Um, not here, of course!
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 3.20pm on 21st December 2016. TFTC

Wow, sneaky. I would never have found it without a previous finder helping us. Tftc
Have looked for this one before with no luck and looked like this would be a dnf again. We looked for over an hour but no luck so messaged co for a hint, we also phoned a friend and she kindly came to help. Took a while but found it in the end.
Hid exactly as found with cover.

Found a possible spot that looks good but it's empty. Oh well when you slip down the bank and hurt your back it's probably time to give up
In the area and stopped by for a check today. That was embarrassing I was having some trouble finding the cache, then I look over and see it laying on the ground full intact. Who knows maybe the weather or the possums anyway back in place so happy hunting.
**Note** As mentioned by a previous cacher the track down from Wellington St is closed due to redevelopment. Only access is via Beckworth St.
Mosquitoes are plentiful today and a bit of a concern. Came across a bare cache so wrote in it and restored its modesty with a bit of camouflage (hope it doesn't make the next to find too difficult).
Retraced route out leaving the pond and its two sought after items.

Nearly gave up because of previous log but I looked where I thought it should be but it wasn't there it was nearby though TFTC
Spent way too much time here looking for this one. Nice spot, but too many mozzies, ants and spiders! Didn't want to give up, but keen to keep moving to reach King Island at low tide. Will return - with the Aeroguard
Out for a day of caching with barbbowman.
Next, we made our way to this one. We couldnt access the area via the way shown on our map: it was blocked off for building. We found another way, but had to walk further. We strolled to GZ, admiring our surroundings as we went. Once at GZ, we searched and searched, without luck. Then we searched again. Eventually, I stopped searching and started thinking. Thats when I came up with a possible hiding spot. Sure enough, the cache was there. We signed the log and returned the cache to where it was found before heading back to the car.

Must have circled GZ about ten times before finally spotting the cache. Thanks again.
Awwww. It's a turtle. Oh. It's dead!
Pretty easy find and away we go again.

Around and around and around. I was ready to go to another obvious spot when geoson found it. Good job boy. TFTC
Found it by accident. Geo Man says it is impossible to find.
I really wanted to take the koala pin, but my pink love heart keyring would not fit.
On returning the cache I picked up a giant brown spider. Screamed, threw the spider and frightened Geo Man. Well worth it.

28/12/14 So it has started to rain but just lightly and I figure 'what's a little rain matter'. This is the second find for the day as I attempt this series by bike (in the rain). This is a lovely location (except for the mozzies) and one I must bring the kids back to. I found GZ easily enough, and a quick look at the hint had the cache in hand. TFTC!
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 9:57am. That took a few minutes to track down. The cache is safe and well where it is. TFTC
What a pleasant little spot in the shade amongst the bird life, water dragons & turtles. Some may disagree but we think this is a great little cache for our 900th!
Took a little poking about but soon had the cache in hand!

Out and about on a fine Sunday to find a few caches.
A short walk, from the previous cache where I parked the car, and found after a bit of a search.
Added a bit more camo.
Thanks for the cache.

Poked about in all the obvious spots that the shaky iphone GPS sent me to, but cane up empty handed. Nice spot though!
We parked in a side road and walked through a nice park by a couple of ponds to find this one. Mr LHE Duo left me and headed the last little way to make a quick find. He added our name to the log and we were soon heading back to the car. TFTC
I was out today on the way to work trying to find caches that would help towards a challenge cache I want to do next month. This one met with my very specific requirements.
I was on the geocycle rounding up a few in this area. I managed to ride right to GZ I did spend a while looking for the cache though. GPSr not to certain under the trees and a good few possibilities to check.

Out for walk with geodogs.
Most obvious spot is close but not here.
Good hide. Cache is dry and in good condition.
Left koala hatpin for swap.

Parked in Wellington Street, short walk down the easement to the pond.could not get clear direction from GPSr under the trees, had a bit of a scratch around, but gave up after a while.
This morning I had an unexpected early start at work which left me without a find for the day, so on the way home I headed in this direction to take a look at this hide.
With the sun below the horizon, and the light fading I finally arrived at a good parking spot. I pocketed my phone, torch and keys and got the coords punched into the GPSr, and headed down the pathway. I followed along and soon found the crossing before arriving at GZ. Being well into dusk, there was very little light, but I resisted the torch to avoid drawing attention (not sure just how much the area is exposed to the surrounding houses).
Anyway I soon spotted a potential GZ, and looked in a couple of spots before quickly flicking the torch on and off to check one spot, ah there is the cache. So that was easy enough, now to sign the log, with my ... umm pen not where it usually is, so I check the pockets and nope. *Sigh* had to forget the one important thing.
So it seems the walk of shame was in order. I trudged back to the car and retrieved the pen, before heading back down, now in almost complete darkness to add my name to the log. With the name added, I replaced the cache and make the walk back to the car for the second time. Now off to the coffee shop for a little bit of a relax.

I headed down the hidden driveway and that got me close to the cache.
A short stroll over the weir and then I remembered that I had been here before for another cache years ago.
I soon located the cache. It would only be about 20m from the other one that was here.

Parked Sooty on the other side and almost wandered on to the private land. How lucky are they to live at this beautiful pond?
I was worried about crossing the creek but it was dry and lots of rocks to land on. At GZ, the coords settled on a spot and I located the cache easily. Happy with that! The cache seems quite secure here and well hidden although I did as asked and tucked in a bit of camo
A lovely hidden piece of urban paradise! I reckon the ducks must love this spot.

As I began to plan my exit from Ormiston, I was pretty surprised to see this one still unclaimed. Well, a quick stroll down the easement and the cache was in hand in no time at all. *FTF* and a Fave point to follow. Some ducks in my path decided they would rather race across the water than take their chances with me. I was only sorry not to have more time for a stroll much further into this very attractive area. Picturesque water in all directions. Maybe the residents above would prefer to keep this as their little secret picnic spot. TFTC once again tdimdad; thoroughly enjoyable.
