Sorry folks but obtaining a similar container has been tough, and the location isn't attractive.

#173 - Garmin eTrex 30

This was the second of 2 finds for today and it also clears the first page of caches closest to home. I had previously attempted this cache but had no luck and was looking through past logs for a clue. I was about to contact a previous finder when the most recent logs were posted and the new, unofficial hint, almost gave it away to me. Geomum made the find and I realised this was the only spot I didn't check last time - only because a spider was crawling in and out of the hiding spot. I have no idea where the cache was originally meant to be placed because there was no camo to speak of. There is remnants of glue or some other adhesive stuck to the cache. SL. TFTC.

I was unable to attempt the other cache in this park as there were a couple of muggles parked right next to it, so I had to be content with just this one. Clues in the logs helped me uncover it very quickly.

Thanks Martin cousins.

Found with mate Gummybear630. Found it on the ground so we moved it close by. Holy stone. Use a stick or something.

I found the cache only after I gave up and phoned a friend. Crikey, I had kicked around that idea before I rang them and had given up on it! Just goes to show..Thanks Mc.

Came back with new information, and even with a good clue it still wasn't easy to find.
I dont think I would have ever found this one without the clue I got.
Great camo

Thanks MC

AWESOME! I wandered around for a while before discovering this pleasant little surprise (while Rheneas looked on with a smile as he recently found this one). Was keen to earn the Souvenir for International GC Day with this one. So we left a kids party just around the corner to make the find. Very creative & lots of effort. SL / TFTC Smile

All was quiet in the park on a cold Sunday afternoon. The GPS has me all over the place but there weren't a lot of places to look. Feeling dejected after a couple of other fails today I hung my head and went to walk away. Then my spirits lifted and I came up with the goods. Tricky. I like it.

Out caching in the afternoon between Quakers Hill and Schofields stations. This one had been recommended to me so I was eager to attempt it. GPS really wasn't helping me much, sending me all over the place, at one stage indicating that GZ might be on an A/C unit on the wrong side of the fence. I sat down to reflect on a few of the previous log entries, after scanning the area once more I had that light-bulb moment of clarify and the cache revealed itself soon afterwards. Very sneaky hide, definitely worth a favourite point for ingenuity! TFTC Martin cousins! Smile

Knowing full well that the sporting clubhouses close to GZ are heavily manned with stickybeaks, I parked in Foxwood Ave and walked through the laneway, approaching GZ from the SW. Upon reaching GZ, I poked and prodded, used the torch, and spent a good 10 minutes trying to find this cache. Wiggle this, check that. After trusting the GPS a bit more, I wonder if.... yep. Nice! A well made and audacious hide - just the kind that I like! Very worthy of a fav point. Great work Martin cousins, and TFTC!

Streak Day #397 - Stopped by this one and needed a PAF to put me in the correct GZ, whilst on the phone turned around and had that ahaa moment when finding something odd lol, realised i had to go back to the car to get the log out as i didnt bring any tools to extract. TFTC and very clever Wink

11/08/14. 5:38 PM. Cache #1767. Just grabbed a couple of recent caches while I was in the area this evening. Reading through past logs, I thought this one might present a bit of difficulty, so I was surprised when I found it so quickly, despite it being a fairly unique container. I guess it just looked a tad out of place. Off to Shalvey next for the recent bus stop cache there. TFTC }:)

I came and searched and searched for nothing!

So, after around twenty minutes I rang a Phone-a-Friend. As soon has he suggested a GZ I realised where it was and I had to play with the camo harder!?!

Soon I had cache in hand. Very clever.

TFTC.

I had a watch alert on this one due to its closeness to home.

One certain previous log after reading it lead me to an instant find.

Live the work here but should be kept under wraps from the CP's.

Thanks for placing this cache MC. Have a fave point.

The hippy went yippee went the ftf. A joint ftf which makes it so much better. Arrived and there was a couple of suspicious characters in the trees. One had been here for over an hour. So checked the hint and checked the obvious touching it a couple of times, but not noticing any movement that might give it away as a cache. After a couple of minutes team Sunderland rechecked the spot and moved it the right way and it became obvious. Great idea. I was attracted to it as I have been looking to use one the same.

Gets a favourite from me. Tftc tnln
