Such a beautiful spot. Must come here if you are visiting Trentham or passing through the area. I also took a trip down to the base of the waterfall where you can walk and sit behind it (signs warn against this due to potentially unstable cliffs but in my opinion it was a pretty easy 5 minute walk down and was well worth it so long as you accept the 1% chance of danger - but I didnt recommend that so shh! )
It was a wet and chilly day in Trentham today, but a planned outing with a friend was not to be missed. She was very keen to learn a bit more about geocaching, so we layered up and packed the umbrellas and ventured out.It was a great day to view the falls after quite a bit of rain. Information was gathered and submitted, and we enjoyed some time watching the falls
After dropping Cracker Mum of Team Crackers in Sunbury for the start of an even for International Geocaching Day Event, I decided to continue on to Trentham falls to see if the recent rain had in creased the flow over the top. On a wet day, I quickly headed to GZ to collect the necessary answers and the wozzle68 has confirmed they are correct. Thanks for the interesting geology lesson.
On this wet afternoon I was caching around Trentham and surrounds and had to come and explore this beautiful part of the world. Such a spectacular water fall. I got pretty wet might as well have stood under the waterfall but it was worth the visit just for the views. Thanks Wozzle68.
Lovely winters day out and about checking out the area. Havent been to Trentham Falls before. Lovely spot. Answers sent
Such a lovely spot, there wasn't much water at the moment and I was very happy to see that no one had jumped barriers today (it's a sore spot I have, I don't understand why people insist on breaking rules). Thanks for the lovely walk on a very crisp but pleasant day (bonus for the birdlife, saw my first ever Eastern Yellow Robin up close!)
What a beautiful spot! Thanks to wozzle68 for challenging us to think more deeply about how the area changed over time and how it may change in the future.
Beautiful Falls, quite high at present due to several thunderstorm cells. Very interesting history of how they were formed. Tftc!
I headed out today to Trentham with my parents to showcase the area. One of the stops we made was the falls here. Of course I checked my geocaching map whilst here just in case and there was in fact a cache here - two actually (and an Adlab location that I didnt note until after wed left)It was relatively quiet here today although the carpark was beginning to get busy when we left. The falls were flowing well. Its a shame the pathway down to the falls has been closed although that doesnt stop some people.I enjoyed the read of information here. I was impressed that a platypus skull had been preserved beneath the rock face. Thanks for the informative Earthcache here.
Thought wed spend some time in Trentham finding some caches. A beautiful day for it. A nice straightforward Earthcache. Many thanks wozzle68 for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. And thanks for sharing the highlights of your region .
First stop on a day out to cross another day off my caching calendar. As it was raining when I left home I thought it might be a one cache kind of day. I was quite pleased that the sun popped out not long before Trentham. Message sent. TFTC
Did this along with Sleepy205. Nice spot and a good excuse to go to Red Beard Bakery for some coffee and vanilla slice! TFTC
This place reminds me of a long time ago when I visited it. Beautiful waterfall. Answer sent. FPThanks, wozzle68 for placing earthcache.
13:54"The Melbourne Cup" A race which stops the nation! But cannot stop the cach'n.We enjoy earthcaches, they help us learn about the "geo-gameboard" we all love to play on!Info sent to COThanks to wozzle68 for creating caches in such interesting locations. 35990
Out bush walking with our doggos in the beautiful spring weather.Stopped off here from a look see of the waterfall.Short walk from the car park to see the waterfall which had a reasonable amount of water flowing over. Its such a sheer drop off.Well worth the visit if youre in the area.
While out and about I was actually doing the adventure lab and then noticed this earth cache here as well.
A very surprising and awesome GZ and my favourite cache of the day. No wonder so many cars were in the car park.
Thanks wozzle68 for the cache, the education and the great location. A favourite from me.

I realised the other day that i have been avoiding puzzle caches and not writing up earthcaches for a while and that it was high time to tackle some of each. I have since spent quite a bit of time drinking coffee and staring blankly at my computer but i have finally managed to solve a few puzzles which i had previously looked at but not solved. I have also written up and sent off answers for a few earthcaches.
I visited this one quite a while ago but tackled a nearby Maccamob cache first, just as it was starting to rain and getting dark. By the time I headed over here I was soaked, it was pitch black, and I couldnt see a thing. I did however find the sign and noted down the answers to the questions. When I went to write it up some time later I had lost the scrap of paper.... back to square one! I visited and enjoyed it for a second time on 6-12-2022 so it has been in the waiting room again for some time, in fact I have visited this beautiful spot again with a friend since then. But now I have finally got around to sending my answers and can sign it off. It is a great feeling to be able to put a smiley on my map. thanks for the fun Wozzle68.

After spending the day with muggles and only picking up a couple of caches, we popped by these falls on the way home as there has been a lot of rain recently. So glad we did as it was spectacular. A beautiful Earthcache, a special place for sure. Answers sent to CO.
WOW!!! What’s a spectacular spot.
The walk in was easy and the view was absolutely amazing. Such a shame there is no longer any access to the creek bed anymore.

Yesterday I visited Trentham for the first time. Two of the grandkids came along for the visit. The Falls was our first stop. A pretty spot for a walk around and the perfect place for our picnic lunch. Shame the tracks have been closed off as it would of been a nice walk down to the bottom. Answers to the questions sent. TFTC
We finished our visit to Trentham by returning to the Falls, hadn't been here in a long time. Though not a lot, there was some water falling down to showcase the beauty for the weekend visitors (of whom there were quite a few in the lovely weather).
Answers have been sent - thank you for testing our Earth knowledge, wozzle68!

Sims_family Mum and Dad where on a Mystery Picnic in and around the Macedon Area today. As we stopped at some of the stops to pick up provisions for the Picnic we managed to grab a few caches and Completed a few Adventure Labs.
Trentham was our first stop stop which we were fortunate enough that we were not far from this beautiful spot. Visiting waterfalls is always on our to do list so it was a no brainer to pay a visit here today before we headed to Kyneton for our next stop on our mystery picnic. I am sure this must have been really flowing a few months ago after all the rain we had.
Thank you wozzle68 for the Earthcache

Popped out to look at the falls while on a weekend in Daylesford. Flowing really well after all the wet weather we’ve had. Spectacular view on a very hot day.
Had to do a journey to somewhere near and so swung by to see the falls. The rain has been on and off all day, so the falls were spectacular.
Found on a recent rainy trip, at least waterfall was flowing well! Thanks for the earthcache
Up in Trentham to get some of these world famous hot cross buns from Red Beard bakery, when we decided what better to go with our baked delights than a cache or two.
The view of the falls was absolutely stunning today. We only wish we could have gotten closer, but the track was closed today. However, we enjoyed the view we got.
I need to try and get out to do more Earthcaches, as they always take us to such amazing locations and who doesn't love learning about our gameboard. TFTC

Trentham falls is a beautiful place to visit. Some interesting history and geology at this location which was well explained on the nearby signs. With the answers finally sent through to the CO, a very prompt response was received with the thumbs up.
Thanks wozzle68 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Glad I had my mask on.
More tourists here than at a Royal Coronation!
A lovely spot to visit but we felt it prudent not to ignore the warning signs and we stopped at the gate.
Which just happens to be the posted coordinates.
Thanks for the Earth Cache and geology lessons Wozzle.

This was a target cache for this morning. An excellent Earthcache and spectacular location. The waterfall looks lovely! Took a few pics and sent my responses. Dropping off a FAVE

he Drovers had come down from New South Wales and we decided to meet them and do a little bit of caching in the area.
As we both enjoy earth caches we headed here and were glad that we did. The falls were still flowing nicely even though it was a cool day there were quite a few people swimming and playing around under them.
We waited awhile for the crowds to thin and then collected the required information and also took a few pictures.
It is quite an interesting geological feature and we are happy to say that we walked away knowing a lot more about these falls than what we did when we arrived.
The answers were sent off to the CO and prompt permission to log was given.
Many thanks Wozzle68 for showing us this great location, a favourite point from us.

Met up with Team Crackers in Tylden, and picked up a few caches while in the area.
Lots of people enjoying the area, as we made our way down the trail.
Lovely area, and muggles swimming at the base of the falls.
Answers are on the way, via Team Crackers.

Beautiful area, nice to see water flowing. It is quite a tourist attraction.
What a lovely location! Plenty busy, so we took a photo and answered the questions off to the side. Lots of very interesting information about the falls!
I was wondering why I had not logged this EC before, and it turns out that despite having been caching in the area many times I had not visited this particular site.
It was a crazy madhouse as it seems many other people are just as keen on checking out the falls, and at this time in particular after lockdown there are many people on holiday exploring spots like this.
We took in the view from various angles, collected answers, took many pics and enjoyed the visit. Answers emailed to the CO.
Thanks wozzle68.

Amazing place to visit for regional victorians trying to get rid of their boredom and enjoy the outdoors
We went and had a look at the beautiful falls today and they didn’t disappoint ! With 20mm of rain over night and it certainly helped. We stayed for a while, Liv took photos and I just took it all in. It was a popular place today. Thanks for bringing us here.
I don't know why it took me so long to visit Trentham Falls since it's so close to Daylesford! Really enjoyed my visit and learning about the falls. TFTC
We enjoyed our visit to Trentham Falls despite there being far more people than expected.
We walked to the viewing point then up to the top. Pleased not to fall on my butt in the steep muddle track! Thanks for a great EC to go with visiting this beautiful natural wonder.
We also enjoyed our first day of finding caches for many months.

It was almost dry when we were here but saw pictures of much bigger flows. Found actually on March 21 but just now logging
Its been awhile since we have visited Trentham Falls but today while caching in the area it was good to return even though the water flow wasn't as impressive as other occasions. I remember many years ago taking long exposure photos here with the CO but not today however, our mission today was to seek out the answers to this earthcache and visit an old cache nearby.
Thanks for the earthcache wozzle68 and some fine memories.
Thanks for the earthcache wozzle68 and some fine memories.
Answers sent to CO. Surprisingly there is not much water coming over the falls at the moment. I used to live in Trentham and this was a fave spot for the local weekend parties. LOL. Thanks for bringing me back here wozzle68
Lived in this area for most of my life, such a great area. I'm not really one to worry about earth caches, as I'm hopeless with geography. But since the the answers were right in front of me. I might as well tick it off. Thanks for the area wozzle. I have plenty of memories here well before all the fences and barricades were put in place.
A visit to Daylesford doesn't go without a visit to the lovely falls. The water is still flowing despite the drought. FP from me.
Up in Trentham with the the boys for a camping trip. Had a quick expedition to the falls and thought we'd complete a quick cache while we were at it. TFTC, nice to learn a few things in addition to admiring the falls!
Beautiful falls...there was only a trickle today and kids were swimming in the bottom, amidst a bushfire that had broken out and e dead our holiday up here.
Tftc though wozzle68

On my way home from an event and caching around the Lauriston Reservoir area today and picking up the odd cache or three along the way. It was my first visit to these falls and with reasonable rainfalls recently it made for a spectacular flow of water over the edge. A great EC to learn how these were formed. Answers sent to CO as req'd. Thx Wozzle68 for setting this one up. FP added too.
Thank you for placing an Earth Cache in this great spot! MissPiggy77 is sending joint answers for us from our visit earlier today.
Quickly stopped at the waterfall before the rain picked up again. What a beautiful spot. Thanks for showing.
Love this place.. so nice to visit on a beautiful Spring day. Answers sent.
5 September 2019 2:19 pm out with nanna and Sheeba. Shame track down to falls is now closed. Will email answers when I get home, wanted to log this, my first Earthcache as my special 115!
Out and about on a beautiful Spring day. Thanks for bringing me here, Wozzle.
On a road trip with a friend the other day heading to Daylesford. We left so dam early that nothing was opened so I decided since we both hadn’t been here this was a great opportunity.
I do love waterfalls and this one was beautiful! Tucked away a very well kept secret..... to me anyway.
As I normally don’t try earth caches .... I was taking photos and thought...... oh have a crack!!! Gotta love answers being right in front of you.
Thanks wozzle for highlighting this natural wonder and bringing it to our attention for all to enjoy

Absolutely beautiful place. Out with tupiasmum doing some caching while on a quilting retreat.
Staying in the area and out grabbing just a few finds, while exploring the area.
This was a lovely area to take some time enjoying. There was plenty of water coming over the falls today and some interesting info obtained while doing the cache.
Thanks wozzle68 for bringing me to such a great location and the effort of placing the earth cache for us to do.

TFTC - a great spot for the cache and it gave me a good opportunity to learn more of this beautiful countryside
We were enjoying some pleasant weather prior to Christmas, holidaying nearby and expecting some intense heat ahead. It was a surprise to see such a massive waterfall amongst the paddocks and so easily accessed. There were a lot of people making the most of the pool below and we were really tempted to explore further, but the access signs were suggesting otherwise. Thank you so much to the CO for highlighting this lovely location and ensuring we stop and read about the information for a better understanding of the area. A favourite from us.
We finally made it to this beautiful location on our way home this morning after spending the night in Blackwood, following a geo-birthday event earlier in that day.
It has been raining over the past 3 days, so today the falls were flowing nicely. Chunk had been here many many years ago and had absailed as part of an SES training exercise when the falls were bone dry, and had never seen water over them. Chook had never seen the falls before, so it was a real treat for both of us. This is a very popular area with the day trippers, and we noted quite a few had walked down to the bottom of the falls and were playing in the undermined cave behind the falls, just where the warnings say falling rocks are to be expected as part of the erosion process. We got out of there before any rescue was required today.
Thanks for this great earthcache wozzle68
