TFTC! 25 August 2024 8:40:07AM 8336 thanks to Fergzter for the cache! Not where we expected the cache to be, but got there in the end.
What a great spot. Its funny that we live in the area and it is a place we would never visit. Tftc
Driving from Geelong to Ballarat I paused a while to look for this cache. A quick find was made of a cache in good condition.
Outnabout for some solo caching while in town for a couple of days. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC Fergzter
Made the short walk in taking note of all the hints then made the quick find!! TFTC!!
Today was a day out in the PeuGEOt with littlecogs. As we approached GZ the last part of the hint fell into place and the cache was soon in hand, log signed and cache replaced to its hidey hole.TFTC.
Took the high road first and had to double back. Made our way to GZ and I fought the prickles to soon grab the cache.
Second to last for the day and what a neat spot. Very cool under the bridge out of the sun, which was rather welcomed. Didn't take long and the cache was safely in hand. Log signed cache replaced and then back out to the car. Thanks Fergzter...cache is all good.
With dot558 gps had us walking in circles, it wasn't till previous log and hint was reread did we find itThanks for the smile
Gordon, at "Gordons at Gordon", has great baubles. So good in fact, that he had them framed. And he is happy to show off his baubles to just about anyone who wanders into his shop. Go on. Ask Gordon if you can take a look at his baubles. The rest of his Christmas decorations are rather fabulous too. Just down the road, with the last of our takeaway coffee and cake in hand, catnap777 and I stopped at the recommended parking area curious to see what this cache had in store for us. Yep. I've been here before. In fact, before I met catnap777, I think I spent a whole lot of time on that train to nowhere. This is one of those gems you only find while cruising the road less travelled.Great spot and great hint. There really are thorns and just T1.5 is accurate. [^]TFTC Shumba7. This was our first visit to Gordon, but with such a friendly welcome to town, it certainly won't be our last.
Cache found and log signed with dalerious . We decided to grab the odd trad on our way to the Bungal Whipstick Forest. We started this drive, and neither dalerious nor I have been on this part of the old highway before. The hint you offered on the cache page was very detailed and extremely helpful.Thank you fergzter for this cache.I would like to single out my awesome partner dalerious for the generic part of my log on all the caches we found this weekend. He has been doing the hard yards retrieving caches for us to sign. I walk where I can, for as far as I can, but trying not to over do the limits of recovering from Knee surgery . He has been patient, as I am the patient. It is for the greater good as this surgery should see me achieving so many great and wonderful things, for many years to come. We planned this caching trip with so many caches we were eagerly wanting to sign . Not sure if I was going to cope with the long drive, let alone find and sign every cache on our list; and what an extensive list indeed. There were a variety, and looking at the map after we placed all our ducks in a row, they covered a great sparse of this great state. We had a CITO to attend and Letterbox hybrid caches as well as Mysteries we had solved, and throw in a handful of Wherigo's. Did you say Earthcache, yep, and also a Virtual for me.We were here there and everywhere, and the weather could not have been better.I am happy to say that we crossed of 99% of the caches we had placed on that list .Christmas is coming, but you can keep all those presents. Don't waste your money on me. My most favourite present is going caching with my man, and catching up with our caching friends along the way.I get my present every weekend. How lucky am I.Merry Christmas everyone, and a happy and safe New year to you all from dalerious and catnap777 .
The M..... H..... has finally done it! 3000 caches. Great little bridge and a worthy contender for our 3000th cache. Tftc.
New cache placed today. Slightly moved to rear right. Look for 54-34-82.
Good to go.
Good to go.
Dropped by finally to check. Yep. Those blackberries have really grown. I am sure it is still there but don't fancy tearing myself to shreds getting it out. I will be back soon with a another container.

Had a look where the exact coordinates were telling me yes, there is a tree there. No, there is no blackberries. There is a rock stuck at the base of the tree that I couldn’t get out. I got with in 1 m of the coordinates that sorry mate I’ve spent a good hour here I’m gonna have to dnf
Temp disable until I can check on this one. Suspect it is simply blackberry overgrowing the hiding spot.
Hi Fergzter, yes you're correct. Coords are spot on, but the blackberries have gone nuts. As my log states, we just used a stick to extract it from its hide
Quick stop on our way home from an event in Ballarat with Bogonghazy and SorceySal. Very prickly find. Thanks for placing the geocache
Short drive up the highway for LittleBoss2 and Sorceysal and I to attend an event in Brat. Now it's onto some caching. This was an awkward find, area is infested with blackberries. Stick used to retrieve and replace. Thanks Fergster
What a lovely little spot! Thank you for highlighting this place....great photo opportunity
*The Last Day Of SueHut's Holidays Adventure #6*
We dragged two of the geokids out for a day of caching, on the pretext that we'd end up at Ballarat and have pancakes. This was the sixth stop along the way.
Geokid #2 has been hard to please so far. There have been a few wins and a few losses along the way. Although this was train related (yay), he got caught up in blackberries (boo).
Thanks heaps, Fergzter!

Well we parked in the wrong spot and had a lovely climb up and over the hill to get to GZ. Lovely spot. We appreciated the old bridge too
Geocaching brings you to some places you would never know of if it weren’t for searching for caches. Of course we took the high road before realising and rectifying our error. We searched for a while and we’re almost going to give up before the cache was sighed under blackberries.. thanks Fergzter for placing the cache
An interesting spot that we wouldn't have found without a cache being here. Of course, we went in the hard way and left the easy way! TFTC.
This is what I love.. a place never been to yet worth coming.
Great old bridge. Tftc

In Ballarat today for a CITO and another event for the awesome Geotour. On our way home, we had some more daylight and that means more caches! A quick find here, lots of blackberries! Thanks for the cache Fergzter.

I found this geocache during a cycling weekend in Victoria.
I didn't cycle to teh geocache but did do a 142km bike ride through the Otway ranges and along the great ocean road, geocaching on my way to and then from there from South Australia.
Thanks for an amazing geocaching experiance.

Didn’t spend too long as we were trying to get as many quick finds as possible in a short time. Nothing obvious within 10 meters. Interesting Area though so thanks for taking us here ,will be back sometime to look again.
A very pleasant summer’s day to be out and about prior to some upcoming minor surgery.
Once again encounters were made with blackberries but well worth the stroll to see the historic bridge.

Good hiding place took us a little bit of looking to find it. Nice little bridge to go for a little explore. Thanks for the cache
We will be giving this cache a favourite for several reason
Safe parking.
Detailed information in the hint and
privacy
We also left a pathtag here for the next collector for the above reasons.
The cache is in good condition and we enjoyed the wander to GZ. A pair of cutters may be needed to prune the blackberries soon. SL TFTC

With another leap day upon us we had done lots of different caches types and sizes last leap day so this year I decided to attend lots of events and to also help me build up my CITO count. A lot of driving today but the weather was great and managed to get to all 7 events in the day that I planned to.
After the events on the way home there was suddenly road works so we got off the exit and took these nice back roads for a little while.
I didn't read the hint before I arrived so the terrain was quite a bit higher for me. Don't worry, I'm ok. Luckily a tool was nearby to avoid the spikes.
Thanks Fergzter for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Spiffy- had many plans for leap day and attending as many events as possible was the key plan. His dedication saw him attend 7 events in 1 day.
I was glad Spiffy- found this quite quickly as thr GZ had many spots to search.
Thanks to Fergzter for the placement and fun.

Ouch is all we can say. But it was great being taken to a place we didn’t know.
TFTC. We had attended the Ballan Birthday Bash and were making our way home to Maryborough. We had planned our route via the back road to find as many of the caches along the way as possible. An easy find after avoiding the blackberry prickles. A wonderfull relic of times past.
What an interesting place. Thanks for hiding a cache here.
Found it on my not quite to plan road trip as I headed home to Melbourne.

What an interesting old bridge to come and see rather than whizz past! A good hide, we found this one before long and SL at 5:12pm. TFTC
Dropped by for a welfare check. All is well with the hide.
Also did a coordinate check and it was acceptable. The terrain here may throw some people's readings. Please keep this in mind when attempting this geocache.

Having camped at the chooknchunk's place the night before, Ilukaperi, her sister, my son Yeah09 and myself awoke reasonably early and after coffee, breakfast and packing up we hit the road by about 8:30am. Our goal for the weekend was to find 70 caches, but having only found 3 yesterday, we all thought that finding 67 today might be a tall order. Happy to say we achieved that, plus a few extra as well to give us a grand total of 70 for today and 3 yesterday.
It had me worried that we were near an active train line, especially when one went passed, Son realized we were a safe distance away. Ilukaperi made the find, which we signed and replaced. TFTC!

After camping in Beaufort on chooknchunks farm; myself, Day1976, my sister Nakarra and Day's son Jo ventured out as team JIND in an effort to get to 70 caches today.
As we walked up to the cache, day was expressing his concerns about it not being safe on an active line, but unless it was a train to hogwarts, we were pretty safe. This cache is going to be overtaken with blackberries pretty soon.

It was time to head a bit further west again with ilook4geo - and doing some caching along the way, of course. Some caches we had to miss as access was still flooded. We also had to reroute as the road chosen was indicated as not being suitable for caravans.
We did find all the caches we looked for and were happy with the smileys on our caching map.
Wandered along to make the find here. No problem, but look out for the black berries. Thank you to Fergzter for placing this cache.

Not a great day as far as the weather goes, but still went hunting with goingplaces2. We had a successful day, caching along as we travelled. None of the caches found were difficult at all and were replaced as found before we continued on our way. TFTC.
Nope, no luck today. We had a good look around but couldn't find it. Perhaps tackling the terrain wearing my usual footware (thongs) didn't help either!
On a forecast damp dismal and not many degree day I met up with the ever obliging Bushfire and Flynn230103. After attending the events at Pykes Creek we used the remainder of the day caching what an amazing anachronism. Spent lots more time and energy here before reading the hint which focussed our attention in the right area TFTC Fergzter
Today I went out with Bushfire and Au fiat to chase some caches and to do some events along the way. Bushfire called last night for a pick-up in the morning, and of course I was ready. It was really cold, about 11 degrees, and after the first hour I was starting to regret my decision to wear shorts. We went up around Ballan, Creswick and Ballarat to do these caches. Anyway, thanks to all the owners of these caches, they were all excellent, and sorry for the generic log, I just have so many caches to log after today.
We were looking in the wrong spot, but eventually found it. TFTC!

My GPS had me in the middle of the train track with nowhere to hide anything. However some steps later, had my hands on the cache so quite an easy find in the end. TFTC Fav Pt for the interesting area.
Found with MazzyMay on a caching day. We found the cache then had to take the other path to examine the bridge some more, I've never come across half a bridge before. TFTC
Occasionally geocacing brings you to those unique little locations; this is one of them. Thanks for highlighting this little piece of forgotten history.

A day out by myself caching around Ballan, Mt Egerton, working through the Legends series and finishing in the Brisbane Ranges.
My first stop for the day and a quick find. I love any old bridges, big and small., a credit to early engineering skills. Tftc Fergzter

After following a couple false leads and geotrails, the Chief used his “where would I hide it?” finding method. Success. There was some interesting flora here today...apart from the blackberry that bit the Chief.
Thanks Fergzter for being part of our geocaching fun.

On my way towards Ballan for the birthday event I was taking the scenic route to get there.
A nice little old rail bridge with a train rail to nowhere.
GPS had me all over the place at first so I used my Geo sense (which most times doesn’t work) and I soon added my name to the log.
Thanks Fergzter TFTC.

Stopped for this one while on the way to see the Wyndham Christmas lights. Lovely old bridge and a train went past as we were making our way back to the car. TFTC
The advice to take the low road was very pleasing as we were able to get to GC without any hassles and the cache was located quickly. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Fergzter for the cache.
Seeing that I didn't read the hint until I was at the GZ I naturally took the most difficult way into it. Read the hint and found the cache. TFTC.
On my way to Goolwa SA for a 7 Day Fishing trip with my brothers, decided to come a day earlier so I could do some caching of opposite side of city as I from Warragul. Sl thanks for the cache
Took me longer to realise there was a second, inactive train line than it did to find the cache
Tonight we decided to go on an adventure we headed off from Ballarat at 9:00pm On Saturday 1/9/18 and found our last cache at 9:30am on Sunday 2/9/18. We had a total of 23 finds on our adventure this cache was 10th of the 23 finds.
Time found - 2:39am

This is last cache we did for the day with team Zacatt. We parted and went different directions after here to meet up at the CITO in Ballarat in an hour or so time. After me not reading the cache page, or was it the hint?, we all arrived at GZ at j right level. We then took note of the T rating and I found a suspicious, possible cover almost immediately and stopped looking at less accessible places. Easy find in the end. TFTC
Quick find today on the way to Ballarat for two events. Thanks for the cache Fergzter
