I'm out and about exploring and picking up a few caches and decided to wander along this trail to see what I could see. It took me a little while to track this one down since I tried using observation and logic instead of my GPS but I got there eventually. Thanks for find #6485TNLN
Another one that has no doubt seen better days. Still a good hide and still a smiley for me.
A very wet day here. Found the cache but it was a car wreck. Funny though.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to Gonefishen07 for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

We thought our family had finished work for the year and we were going to spend the week before Xmas doing 'family time' until my wife got asked if she could do a cover. That was fine with me, as it meant I had the morning free for caching somewhere. The Wonthaggi area was chosen to try to fix some DNFs. Tiz said she would meet me there at 8 am and the plan was set.
The top 3 highlights of the day? Caching and chatting with Tiz, lovely beach locations and the little baby snake that sat on the beach beside me. Shame he was camera shy and boy did he freak me out when Tiz spotted him. Guessing it couldn't have been the same one we saw nearby later.
Found this one at 9.10 am. Think Tiz had already found it and after I quickly found the cache, she could describe the whole final container. Interesting, but I'd like a bigger one.
Thanks for the cache Gone Fishen 07

Trying to avoid the swampy areas Kashbound, kbucky and I navigated our way to this cache. Log signed and replaced... Psst it's in the oven..
Barbie has been inundated with water and her campervan a little compromised. Maybe she shouldn’t have driven through the flood waters? Good thing her oven can keep the log dry though
Found with Tiz13 and the geocaching guru of the day Kashbound.

Found with icw. Wildlife sighted included: two mobs of Eastern kangaroos -- one large; two White-browed scrub wrens; a family of Superb fairy-wrens; Little and Red wattle-birds; a pair of emus and lots of Wombat poos. Tftc.
Looked in the wrong hidey spot for a while before trying a new spot and making the find.
Had to stretch to reach the well placed container.
Signed and replaced.
This was as far as I got on this particular track but it was so much fun that I will be back for sure.
Thanks for the cache.

Found while out with Geohubby. This was something very different. Had to do a bit of limbo to get to it. TFTC
Ha ha, Barbie is right into the van life movement! Again, another fun and kid friendly cache! TFTC
When the weather isnt beach weather (Hot & sunny) we go geocaching.

TFTC! Enjoyed finding this one with mrx2 and Rodneys1. Thanks for taking us on a scenic walk to find some caches.
#4352 - This afternoon we decided to tackle this trail completing a loop trip coming back via Williamsons Beach. We had the geohounds and some muggle friends who clearly don't understand caching!
Wowsers some thick scrub to negotiate to get to gz. Given a previous finder spotted a slithery reptile here recently, we took extra care. A very novel container host here, made us laugh! TFTC Gonefishen07.

TFTC! My granddaughter found this one AGAIN! She has way better eyesight than me. I’m thinking about making her her own geocaching account haha! On the walk, we came across a nice lady with a cute dog. We stopped to pat it and talked to her, then got back to the walk.
After one lady navigation we found it! You need to replace container because the bottom of the container is about to come off! TFTC
Headed down to Wonthaggi with GurTheWanderer for some adventures.
Not put off by the previous horror encounter with the 8 legged variety, I put it in the back of my mind and offered to go in an retrieve this squeezy cache. I thought I had passed the need to get on my hands and knees again after employing this technique many times navigating the dunes earlier. Great cache hide here.
The weather has definately had an advers effect on the cache here but surprisingly it’s still holding up considerably well. Logbook dry and in good condition.
Not long now until we are back at the car in the carpark. Only a few more to find ahead of us. Such a great day out for a walk here.
Thank you for the cache here Gonefishen07

Very cute one. Out and about with OSHFAM. down from the Gold Coast to pick up a few specific cache for my 81. These are also here for fun!
Another clever hide. Enjoying the series to date. Heat is really starting to build but its nice in the shade
Container has seen better days but 5+ years in the salt air will do that!
Thanx again to Gonefishen07

Out tonight with one part of TSB on a wild and windy friday night. Not sure how far we were going to make it after the rains but decided to give it a go. Love the container.

Heading to Philip Island for a conference from Canberra. I left last night and slept in the back of the car for a few hours before continuing bright and early to maximise the time I had available to find a few high D/T caches along this stretch of beach. A quick find here. TFTC.

Out with the grandkids for a walk along the wind farms. No one around today at all or ever I would guess. Thanks for bringing us to an area that we have not been before. Nice easy find for the kids. Thanks for the cache.

On approaching GZ, parks have placed an animal monitoring camera and a snare. Cache found about 10 metres away. Log signed and all back safe again.
Be careful around this one.

Well this was a mighty cache, and a bit hard to miss. I had to crawl under the bracken to reach it, and fear was racing high for what may be lurking inside, nothing came running out. I had to use a tool to open the cache, salt and metal do not a marriage make. TFTC
Another quick find along the trail. If I recall the container correctly - beep, beep!
Thought we'd come down and find some cache in Wonthaggi... a road trip during school holidays.. The weather was beautiful in the morning and did get overcast and it rained just as we got back from Baxter/Williamson's caches.. Perfect timing... Found a few more around Wonthaggi and a few DNF before we headed back home.
Found this one, miss 9 spooked herself and thought there was something in the grass but was her standing on a stick and the other end was moving in grass. Couldn't open this one as the tin seems all rusted together.

This took a bit of searching then scrabbling on hands and knees to reach and sign the log. Meanwhile the emu came up to check me out.
After completing the nearby rail trail on bikes, quiet1_au, GJMMelb and I decided to find a few more caches. I found this cache. TFTC
Continuing on the trek down the trail, we stopped for this one along the way.
A fantastic little camo.... well... yeah
Didn't take us long when we got to GZ to find this one

Wandering along Williamsons, in the good company of Alansee and maccamob, it was interesting to be up close and personal with the turbines as we enjoyed the variety of themed hides along the way.
Our thanks to Gonefishen07 for bringing us to this location.

At first I though the "split screen" was referring to the vegetation at GZ, but then lochb revealed the cache and the true reason was clear! Love these novelty hides
Found by Mary & David, in company with Alansee and phetlern, at 1540. This one stood out once we were at GZ, but it wasn't the sort of Split Screen we'd expected. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
Found in the company of Maccamob and Phetlern. Loved the container although surely that is a large!
A bunch of hippies in a Combi down the beach will always be a favourite. Tftc tnln
This cache had me thinking we were looking for something computer-related so it was a nice surprise to find the cache was something completely different. I liked this camo.....well, you could hardly call it camouflage as it is almost the opposite. Thanks for a fun cache!
Found with grumpy gramps 1 on our way home from a day in inverlock. Had a great day playing in the waves. TFTC

Jacko83 and I decided we would cache up together and hit Wonthaggi and grab some decent D/T rated caches and get me out of the house for a day after having some minor surgery and being housebound and unable to drive for a few more weeks , so started the day early from my place and upon his arrival he had Pacman with him to join in the fun. Car packed the amazing Bentley the geo crazy mad extremely energetic geo dog loaded and we were ready to find some great caches :
Hitting the dunes times......We all cursed the winds but loved the views and the geo Bentley dog went nuts around the whole area.....We could not praise the CO enough on the effort put into the cache containers the challenges and the hides....The history and the novelty was nothing less than TOP QUALITY CACHES .....Some cruel , some easy but most amazed us.....
Very good cache container...Kids would love this series just like we did..
AWESOME ....
Thanks for the caches !!!

This was a great day of caching around the Wonthaggi beaches and sand dunes with Jacko83, geomutt Bentley and 88Andy88. A scenic area, a cool day, creative caches, great hikes - altogether a top caching experience here.
After climbing some dunes we hiked a loop here, walking towards the wind turbines along the trail and then back to the car along the beach.
A nice themed container here!
Thanks for all the top quality caches we were able to experience today, Gonefishen07 .

In the cool of the late afternoon, we decided to walk the trail to the south of the wind turbines and look for the caches in the area. It was a very pleasant walk with a good quality grassed track and very attractive vegetation, in particular the "avenues" of native flora. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a familiar novelty cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
On a road trip while over for the Melbourne Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.

Found it! This is one of mine & my geokids fave finds! Took a little treasure but replaced it with a little furry friend. TFTC!
Continuing along this lovely track with Boris who got quite a surprise when he spotted this one. It appeared that someone had settled in and left a takeaway coffee cup behind. We signed the log and removed the cup.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for all the fun we had today finding your caches

OMG SkiPair, what is that? Hm, think it's a Morris Minor with a split screen! No it's a .......! Left a pirate passenger, probably from "up the track" a bit. Yep and he tried to board and take over driving duties!! Signed the log and headed off to see what other surprises were on this trail. Thanks gonefishen07.
Felt a bit like zombies when we found this ! It now has picked up a hitch hiker to help. TFTC TNLN
After climbing 8 sand dunes in the morning I rang leesa to see what she was up to and she said she was going on a maintenance run to replace a cache and check on some others, so we decided to go together as I hadn't found the ones she was going to look at. We dropped one car behind the Desal plant and then drove to the Williamson beach car park and started the trail we talked, laughed and I found caches as we went.
Thanks Gonefishen for the caches giving this a fav point love the theme as my daughter want one as her first car so she can go surfing in it.

Drove to Wonthaggi, to pick up a few more caches on the local walk trails.
Parked close by, and took a short walk in this nice area.
Enjoyed listening to the amazing sound of the wind turbine.
All the caches were cleverly made, and a pleasure to find.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

Found at 12:40 PM GAFF1 in the company of Geoge. As soon as our muggle friend Barry saw the van he said it was a split screen - even before I mentioend the name of hte cache! A nice pick-up at the garage sale Leesa!

We were over this side of the world from Geelong to collect some caches around this area, This was another creative hide you never disappoint, awesome work. thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.
Bek (9) loved this cache. I think she wanted to take it with her. The whole area is filled with fairy glades. It is such a lovely walk. Thank you for bringing us here.
Today was a beautiful day for caching, and just happened to be my prearranged day for caching with Biggles Bear. Another quick find, and inside another appropriate container.

With ceebee2013. The name of the cache became clear. The sudden steepening of the track deterred me from proceeding to the next cache today. We will have to rest the aging back and hips before another assault, maybe from the other end to avoid that hill. TFTC.
Got dragged around by Slink1 again today - not feeling my best but what's a cacher to do. Slink is hobbling around with his dodgy knee, so the pair of us were not really on our best form. TNLN SL
Dragged the unwell Dunko out again today, Dunko with his horrible cold, red faced, sneezing and me hobbling with my bung Knee, which is slowly on the mend needed to do some light walking. Big thanks to Gonefishen07 for the caching adventure today. SL

Out on another caching run, this time on a Saturday with biggles1024.
The main purpose for this run was to pick up a letterbox cache, a D/T and find a night cache, everything else was a bonus.
The next goal cache was along this trail in amongst these other ones, so we started at the start and made our way to the end.
At GZ it was a quick find and we were on our way to the next.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache.

Out for a caching run with Stemicmitsar on Saturday instead of our usual Friday night run. We headed to Wonthaggi to grab a Letterbox and also add to our D/T ratings.
I really enjoyed the novelty hides along this trail and this was no exception. No problems finding this one.

If all this posting of caches are like this one then your note for geokids is a good one. Weather deteriorating but we intend to carry on and finish the series.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for another fun day full of laughs hiding caches. I wish I had a real one of these. Oh the fun we could have caching GF07 you in Brad money pit and me in my splity .
