Great HideThanks ***Team_Geraghty*** for the cacheJames0116Monday, 9 Sep 20244:28:48PM ACST4788
after some searching, i finally had the cache in hand. clever spot. thanks for the cache
Found by Mary and David at 15:30. Came in the safe way from below, although the nearby vent was a bit stinky. Some yappy dogs nearby too. A gorgeous day. We also have an Irish heritage. Our family name is MacCarthy, and is very distantly connected to Cormac MacCarthy, who built Blarney Castle. D has been there and done the whole Blarney Stone thing, but was not able to lay claim to the property. Our thanks to ***Team_Geraghty***.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 46. Mid North section of SA trip Day 17. Gawler Day 5. The plan today was to do an armload of geo-art towards Tanunda, but the day dawned wet and staying rainy. I moved up a plan and went to Angaston to check out a cache I skipped as too hard and then markets, all in the hope things would dry a little. No luck, and most of the roads were marked 'dry weather'. I did a few that were on the bitumen corners and then headed back to Gawler. It seems it was not as wet now in the Gawler area, so I did managed a few caches, but not what I had hoped for.
I came up from the end of Angle Vale road, but still felt way too close to highway. I am glad it did not take too long to locate amongst all the other rubbish here.
Thanks for the cache ***Team_Geraghty***

Mr Tardis and Mini Tardis were in the area today, so made a short detour over to this cache. After a quick scramble we found the cache.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Team Geraghty.

Out and about down this way picking up a few caches today. This cache was one of them. A quick and easy find while on this side of the highway. Thankfully not to many motorised muggles around today.
Find #3768 at 1:36:36 pm on 21 Jan 2022.

Not a lot of noise here today we just needed to avoid the muggle builders at the bottom of the slope. All is good with the cache. SL TFTC
Cache targeted for its “poisonous plants” attribute, and as a bonus, this is the last of those Wonders attributes I need too. The luck of the Irish is with me today, thanks Team_Geraghty.
Staying in Gawler Gateway for a bit. Today we headed out after a few hot days
Managed to get a few caches between Gateway & Gawler

Found during a caching foray around Gawler for the afternoon before attending the Sandy Creek Sandybration event. Thanks for the cache Team_Geraghty!
This cache is literally as far along Angle Vale Road as one could possibly get - another few millimetres and you'd be roadkill.
Took a while to narrow down the spot and scratch up my legs a bit but found it in the end. (all part of the fun)

Thanks for the cache team geraughty. Crossing strategy formed and completed. Process of elimination conducted, didn’t want to need to circle back. Easily spotted. Yay
Nice drive right the way around from my previous find to this one

A bit of a process of elimination till the booty was spotted. SL at 16:55 on Sat 15 Aug 2020.

Today was Gawler Day. After doing all my chores I headed off to Gawler on the new road which makes the drive much shorter.
Had a long list of caches to tick off but a later than anticipated start coupled with some hideous hay fever meant I didn’t get as many finds as I’d hoped for. Just wasn’t having caching feels today.
I didn’t have any dnf though which was good and converted one prior frownie into a smile which was also good.
At the end of the day had some fab food at the very well patronized Geocaching day event. Not quite Seattle where I should have been today but still a fabulous event and was great to see so many fellow cachers. After tea found a final 3 caches with JJ52 and then took my pollen infested head home, still suffering the Wattle side effects the next day.
Can’t say I enjoyed much about this one, loads of rubbish and low lying branches. Anyway found the cache so another smilie. TFTC!

Scrambled around searching but gave up in the end. Not a good place to search with geokids, far too dangerous with the traffic, not really sure why it needed to be so close to highway but maybe the coordinates were just off for us.

We made the quick walk up the hill onto the main road, not sure how safe this is with kids but lucky we are big ones. The cache was soon located by Davidwazza
Today I headed north with Davidwazza to collect some caches but it was mainly based around the event at gawker and was the main reason we headed up this way. With some cache unfound around kampungs and Nuriootpa we finished the day off in those areas. Overall a great day out with 26 finds.
Thanks for the cache

Today @gridge98 and I headed north primarily to attend the Gawler event, and used it as an excuse to geocache around the vicinity for common unfound caches of ours. We started out with a couple of geocaches at Munno Parra, before visiting Evanston Gardens just next to Gawler. We then made out way towards Kapunda, stopping off at Freeling (some great wetlands here), Fords, and Bethel. It was then one final detour to Truro for our targeted adventure for the day *Under the Bridge*, a D 4.5 / T 5.0 geocache. With our limited time remaining before obligations required us to be home, we found a few previous troubled and new caches around Nuriootpa. A nice day to be geocaching around, except the couple of locations requiring us to walk through the dried grass, collecting sharp grass seeds through our shoes and socks. It's that time of year where gaiters start becoming a must!
I think this geocache's description needs some updating, as the container is no longer a Sistema container, but Eclipse container, hidden in a non-lucky location? Not the best for cache retrieval, but we followed the geotrail, and I made the find with good coordinates. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape, thanks ***Team_Geraghty*** for the cache placement and maintenance.

found after the A new place to clean CITO heading north for the day. quick find
Only looked for a couple minutes, but couldn't see where it could be. Thanks for the cache anyway.
OK so NOW that's a whoo hoo from me! From the track side there are a large branch and a tree down.. So I scrambled over and through... One who metre more than last time and now the blue is now yellow and I am smiling! A previous finder said the cache shouldn't have been that far along (calling from the car down the hill so NOTHING suspicious here!!) but I left cache insitu ..incase CO has it there for a reason... TYFTC SLTNLN
A resounding DNF for me. Climbed. Looked. Scrambled. Slipped and froze. Mother Nature is having a bad hair day and with all the weeds over growing I reckon I'll try this again another day.
Dug around for a while but had no luck. Was super wet , muddy and overgrown with weeds... will have to come back to this one !
SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5 and Owl combined their DNF lists, came up with a master plan and set out to rectify past mistakes. Last time Owl was here the cache was not but today it was a quick scramble and dodge to a smilie.
Anymules joined Mrs. SA. Sewer Rat and I for our now usual Tuesday caching adventures. [8)] Having achieved momentarily temporary Reel Nirvana on a recent Tuesday our plan for the day was to see if we could Anymules closer, rectify a few DNF's and find as many multi caches as we could. Leaving home at 8.00 a.m. and not returning to 1.00 a.m. you would think with 17 hours of daylight and nighttime caching I would have found hundreds. Not-so, We revisited quite a few that one or more had already done and multi-caches take a little longer than trads. Managed to find 30 caches but added three more DNF's to my list! [B)]
One final one before dropping the rat off home. A quick find on the replacement cache.
**Thanks ***Team_Geraghty*** for this cache. **

In the area with a past finder, but no luck. Searched in a wide circle just in case it had travelled, but nothing. May have been washed away in the last heavy rains and needs a check.
Gone I think

Today was a special day, with the aim to get JJ52's 3000th find. We set off early in the morning with a bit of a plan and hoped to get as many of Gawler's caches as we could. At the end of the day I had 32 finds and 2 DNF's, experienced my 4th visit to Gawler Fort Knox and found an old (original) MIA cache that had long ago been replaced!
Both of our batteries went flat while at this cache and I was bitten by ants as the traffic wizzed past!

Ismartis and I headed to Gawler today, somewhere I had not done any caching and I was on my way to number 3000 so it was a good opportunity to see some different country and earmark a special cache for my milestone. We set off with a rough plan of the caches we would try and find and ended up having a really good day with 34 finds and 2 DNF's for me. [^]
Found a suitable place to park then went for a little uphill walk to GZ. Didn't take too long to find the cache, an interesting place to be.

The rubbish is building up near here so I hope it doesn't get taken as rubbish one day. Thanks, this was my 3000 cache find. Therefore I will give it a favourite.
Hevwalker12 made the find while clare007 and myself wandered in circles nearby!! Thanks for the hide Team Geraghty!!
Out with havwalker12, CPWanderer & I headed towards the Gawler event.
Nice & quiet here for a Saturday morning as we followed the geo path.
But it took us a bit longer to find, distracted by other possibilities.

After leaving the Northern meet and greet event CPwanderer, clare007 & I found some more caches before heading South.
Following the path, we started looking in all the obvious, wrong places but I moved to where my GPS actually told me to go and yep there was a well hidden cache. Thanks Team Geraghty

No luck with this one.
Thought at first it may have been removed, as there was silver duct tape wrapped around where we thought it might be, but no cache. After reading a few logs, however, I think we may have simply been looking in the wrong place.
