Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We had a great day today finding a variety of hides but I must admit Ill be happy not to see another granite boulder for a while!!!Our last cache for the day and after quite a search I didnt have the energy to sign 2 logs so only did the canister!! It looked like the original. Thanks ian-and -penny for the placement and maintenance of this caches.
Not sure why there's two physical containers in the spot, but signed both signed as SFC. TFTC.
We woke today to quite cool and foggy morning so we decided to wait around for things to warm up a bit.It was then we received a phone call from a family member traveling south that they were heading through Stanthorpe and would we like to catch up for a coffee. We never pass up the opportunity to catch up with family so it was on! They suggested we meet at a place in Thulimah, and we duly did. This set the agenda for the day. We decided afterwards to head further north up to Dalveen before working our way back home along the Fruit Run. It was only about halfway through the series we realized that there were fruit stalls all along the route, some open but many obviously no longer operational. We guess a new highway finished many of them!We collected a few other caches along the way as well.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache ian-and-penny.**SKI Pair****
One last find as we head out of town. Great hide and we left a couple of cute critters for the next cachers.
After a great morning 4wding in Sundown NP, wayn0 and I had some time to pick up more caches before the event tonight.Quick find here and we were on our way again. Tftc ian-and-pennyFind #5953
how to find this one a few years ago with my sons but this afternoon, it was a fairly easy find. I had no swaps with me, so I took nothing.
We stopped at macers for a coffee . Noticed this just up the street we walked up and found what we were after. Tftc
Nice and easy one, and found both of the caches (the box is obviously not real) (the cylinder is the actual cacheAnyways, great spot, TFTC
3 or 4 attempted finds today and haven't found one! Lucky there's lots of 'em down hereTftc
Well I found it and some pirate treasure in the same hole. I'm confused but all good ha! Tftc
Definitely two cache containers in this spot. One hijacking the original spot ... and not appearing to be a genuine cache, going by contents. Anywho ...
Signed both log books.
Took nothing.
Left swag.
Second (and third??? lol) cache of the day.

Currently in Stanthorpe caring for a family friend and have been geocaching to pass the time, we came out a couple nights ago but couldn’t find anything, came back during the day, and we all started looking at saw the spot at the same time and with the same though of “hmm that’s a good spot to put a cache” we looked in the nook and to no surprise there it was! TFTC! ️
This was my second time back and was more successful than my first visit. But I think that was because I was very inexperienced and it was my first attempt to find a cache on my own. But I took heart for seeing that other people had found it and it had also recently been checked by the COs. Thanks to Ian-and-Penny for this cache and looking after it.
Just passing by, and performed a maintenance on this geocache. It’s warm it’s dry, and there’s plenty of paper in the logbook.
Travelling with TBU1Bikesu from Rutherglen to Brisbane.
We stopped here, found the cache and signed the log.

We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Tftc, starting to wind down our day to make it home in daylight, this was a nice, quick stop
This was the first time that I have been back to Stanthorpe since the Mega in 2015 and in the meantime I have solved a lot of the puzzles and there are a lot more caches to find.
We were now heading home and picking up a few caches as we head out of town. It was only a few metres from the car for a quick find.

20th Wedding Anniversary Geocaching️
Walked around a bit - focused on number of cobwebs & spiders (eww!). John4068 walked straight up and said “There it is!”. Another moment where geocaching keeps me humble!
Apparently we stayed at these cottages once many years ago. And I made John4068 light a fire - even though it was summer. But my memory isn’t great. And I’m spoilt with how much we’ve travelled over the last 20 years.

After walking straight past it I walked back found something out of place and found straight away good cache good stuff. The hole goes back pretty far and is the same size all the way the cache was the perfect size so it kept slipping through i put a stick behind it to help and spent 5-10 min trying to get the rock back In the right spot.

Lovely day out with Colwen whilst celebrating Christmas in July. This was our 101 cache! An easy quick find. TFTC.
As this is only 50m from where we're staying I figured we'd better find it. Thanks for the cache
In our bakery run holiday we just managed to get to foxys 5mins before closing and pickings were slim.
TFTC. Just a couple of blokes caching after quick road trip from Jennings back to Brisbane and a quick pit stop at Kent Saddlery. Cheers from Alabama USA
We are staying in Stanthorpe showgrounds with the caravan club. So had to collect some finds while we are here. Thnaks
Grabbed the Bluey trackable to keep him moving. Nice quiet spot and easy to access cache. TFTC!
Have not had a caching run for a few weeks, so decided to find some lonely back roads from Warwick to Applethorpe. Of course, they had to contain a few caches. Had hoped for about 10, came home with 15! Can't complain about that. Morning tea and lunch, then some tasting a the cheese factory!
Rule #1, after downloading lists of potential caches is to ensure your geomobile is fuelled up.
Today, we forgot about rule #1, so trundled into fuel stop just here to fill up. Bonus is that there was this cache close by.
Quick find. The cache container appears to have been nibbled by a wild animal!
Left bluey TB to continue its journey. Bluey wants to visit every town in Queensland, so now he visits the Granite Belt .
Thanks IanandPenny for the hide and the nearby location, which enable us to continue our caching day.

Misso and I are staying here for the week and this was right out the front of our accommodation!
We were shocked how many caches were in the area.
Cheers for the cache!

On a rainy day like today there is nothing better than visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and of course finding some geocaches. This cache was located quickly. Thank you ian-and-penny
In Stanthorpe for the zillionth trip out here, this time with the family for the weekend. After a day at work, and the drive down we've checked into the motel and I need to stretch my legs, even though it's minutes before sunset with the coldest forecast yet for the year. My old man decides to tag along when I mention I'm going for a walk to "this closest geocache".
With jeans and a hoodie on, I head off into the deepening darkness and gradually lowering temperature. Walking along the New England narrow hard shoulder wasn't my best idea, but we didn't die. A cut through Caltex and Maccas carpark, and torches flicked on for the hunt.
Given my dad dislikes geocaching, he did pitch in to help look around. I was grateful as nearby windows didn't make me feel terribly stealthy. After a few minutes, I illuminated the right rock and the geocache was in hand. I emptied out the water and miraculously, the logbook was dry enough to get a name on.
For the return, we took McKillop Lane, and while there was more traffic here, at least it was going slower. It was definitely night time by the time we were back indoors, but movement is good and smilies go alright too! Thanks for this geocache, ian-and-penny

Tftc. On a warm afternoon travelling around stanthorpe, the geokids said we had to try to find this one. Needless to say they thoroughly enjoyed climbing all over for this cache
TFTF introduced another friend to this fantastic cashe. We were sitting at Maccas and went for a walk. It's a great walk and scenery to look at. As well as a wonderful hiding place. ️
A long weekend up on the Southern Downs from Brisbane, looking for caches from Clifton down to Stanthorpe and in between. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches - much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
