Until the next meet....

Having achieved the souvenirs on the 1st August, it's only fair I swing back through with the celebratory geocoin. [^]

Since this event was so close to home we decided we would head there with maybe a couple of missing caches along the way. As it turned out only one of them was found and we arrived rather early. Since we were already seated when everyone else started arriving we did seem to end up hedged in and therefore did not meet too many attendees. However we did catch up with some we knew and a few newbies.

A slight adjustment of plans: instead of an early arrival will stop by midway through.

Thanks for organising the event, especially as it was so close to home. I had to leave early as I was taking the family to see Mythbusters!

It was a great day, and the coffee was good! Feel free to do it again some time!

It was great to see the crowd and meet also some new ones. This also completed my August souvenir collection.

Thank you so much for organising my first event cache! And my Achiever for my 7 Souvenirs. And my 100th geocache! It was really great to see all those names on actual people which I've seen so often in logs. Well done thepurplester, I think that counts as a great success and we look forward to seeing our newfound friends out and about!

Our first event as we are relatively new Geocachers, very nice to meet everyone. We say a thank you to the experienced geocachers that kindly imparted their geo knowledge with us and answered our questions. Also a big thank you to thepurplester for holding this event. :^)

Thanks for hosting an event just in the nick of time for us to get our souvenir! Was nice to meet some more cachers and talk to some I'd met before. We managed 20 caches in the afternoon! Not too bad, considering we were on foot.

Thanks for creating this event. Great chance to catch up with some old friends I haven't seen for a while and make some new friends.

Despite not being a Bayside Cacher I headed down for a chance to meet some new faces, and a stab at local caches at the same time. A good time was had, everyone would agree. Thanks for hosting, look forward to the next one!

Hmm, I wonder why there were so many events in August... Was there something I didn't know about... It was a perfect day for this one and Mrs Gunnie and I grabbed the opportunity to enjoy lunch at the venue... With some introductions and chat, time soon shot past and it was time to go... Wow, that was quick. It topped off my months caching and I ended up attending 5 events in 3 different states. That's what happens when there are so many on the list...

With an event so close to home it is quite difficult to say no to attending so this one was on the calendar to attend.

Sezzz had taken the train from the city to Cleveland, and I picked her up and we stopped off at a few caches along the way before heading to the event. A last minute thought also saw me shooting a message to Whird to see if he was attending, well good thing as he did not know about it.

It was a great event getting to catch up with a few friends, and meet quite a few new people as well, and it was great to see some not so local cachers attended and getting to meet you as well. Alas I did not manage to make it around and meet everyone, I hope maybe next time I will.

Thanks for the event thepurplester, and hopefully we can get some more events happening this way some time soon. Happy to help with organising or such, I had been wanting to do an event out this way for some time I just had not had to the time.

Hi. Looks like we're going to have a crowd. Tables have been booked inside the restaurant as it was harder to arrange tables at the cafe. We can still order cafe coffee and food or select from the restaurant menu on individual tabs. Booking is under the name of Meredith. Or look for the geochild wearing purple! Thepurplester.

Excellent idea-Will attend, 1+ 2 geokids.

Update: on our way still don't need table also have to see a friend around corner at 11.15-11.30.

Geohusband and I will be in the Bayside this weekend for our sons birthday so would love to attend and meet other geocachers.

Hey does anyone attending this event live near or will drive past "The Line Pine Sanctuary" in Brisbane.....???????
TB has been travelling for 4 year and is only 1 hour from his Goal/Mission. And asked the owner If he wants me to place or hold and take to Brisbane and he replied saying please take him to his Goal even if it takes longer than usual

Me and the two geo-kids will attend. Look forward to it.

Weather/sick kids permitting we should be at this one, 1 adult and 2 kids. Might be a little late as we have to walk from the station.
