Eleventh find on this lovely sunny day! Planning to go all the way to Sawtell. Lots of chirping birds, rolling waves, and the odd train is all i can hear. Tftc
DAY 7
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. A short stopover in Coffs Harbour visiting relatives has us enjoying the mild weather, the great scenery and not to mention a cache or 2.
With Toormina our base on every trip to Coffs this series has taunted us on our map. We have always wanted to tackle it but time has been against us. Not this time however! The fit Triton set off from Boambee Headland Lookout and worked backwards towards Boambee Beach access car park where the other team member picked him up.
A pleasant day to walk along the old trail in the scrub with plenty of shade to keep cool. A few bush turkeys, watching from afar keeping their distance while going about their own business.
All hides easy finds with good coordinates.
Good to find a bigger cache.
Thanks blissbaby for the series placement.

We started this series last year when we were up here and have come back to finish the series. Having only 1 car we walked along the beach and then headed inland. A lovely walk mostly in the shade and much quieter than all the activity on the beach. TFTC.
Great series in a beautiful part of the country
Really enjoyed the 9k walk in beaut sunshine

We had been looking forward to this walk, since we planned a visit to Coffs!
As suggested we set out fairly early with extra water and hoping to ride the trail. Perhaps the most disappointng trail we have attempted. The trail is non-existant in spots, doesn't have any markers, is overgrown and unmaintained, which is a real disappointment, as it could be a real tourist asset for the region.
Our bike riding soon came to an end when there was no further trail! We pushed our trusty treadlies through prickles, grass and sand to complete the trail. Whilst many of the caches were wet, the majority of coordinates were spot on and made the finding of the many Micro's imitating the listed Size of 'Small' that much easier.
Thanks to blissbaby for adding this series to the gameboard.

We've been holidaying down in Coffs Harbour for the week. When we've been able to get to geomonsters out of the pool at the resort, we've been out and about exploring this beautiful part of the world.
Today was a little cloudy and marginally less windy, so Sandra dropped me off at Boambee and was to be picked up at the other end of the beach.
This was a nice quick find.
This was number 19 for our trip.
Thanks!!

A little further off the trail than I would have liked. But a few minute search and this was in hand. TFTC
Disappointing trail, many wet logs and some containers in poor condition, needs a maintenance run.
Thanks for the cache

Today I walked from Gallows Beach to Sawtell Lookout. Doing this walk and caches #2 to #18 of the Boambee Beach Dune Walk series was a distance of 8.2km and took me 3.5 hours. I found #1 way back in August of 2015.
I could here frogs while logging this cache.
T4TC and thanks for the BBDW series.

Have replaced container with a larger one. Be aware there are spikey bushes in the vicinity of gz.
I have some containers & new logs ready to go, just waiting on a day off to get to all of these.
disabling this one since it is apparently not there at all.

We found the cable tie and after the walk we weren’t going home empty handed. This one seriously needs some love and to keep the whole walk alive. tftc
This cache is just a broken cable tie. I think people should be rewarded for coming this far but some people think having sex with a cauliflower is a thing
Found where it was supposed to be but no cache...picture to prove it
These caches need attention!!!
These caches need attention!!!
I’m logging this as found because I reached GZ and found the cable tie that it was attached to
K_t_B and I were in Coffs today so took the opportunity to find some caches, namely a bunch from this trail heading through the dunes down boambee beach. We didn't make it all the way, probably about half way before ducking through to the beach and walking along the water back onto town with a storm front following close behind. It was cool doing a bit of plane spotting here and there as a lander flew directly overhead reminding me of that scene in Wayne's world where Garth asked if Wayne had ever been turned on when bugs bunny dressed up as a girl bunny.
Some of these were in signable condition, others were not, and photos were taken where applicable as proof. Caches found on the ground were placed in higher spots that looked safer and drier above them. The owner may need to do a bit of maintenance in the near future to ensure this trails longevity.
This was a lovely walk that we enjoyed immensely, and I'd like to return one day to find the rest. Also good to give the ones we found some love.

Found once again on the ground at GZ
This is a sad cache, badly needing replacement.
Log is dried out paper mache. Nothing able to be read anymore.
No O ring and the metal ring has rusted and broken a long time ago.
It’s camo is worn.
I doubt that anyone has really found it in a while.
Replaced hopefully safely wedged at GZ above where found.

Found on a long walk along the sand dunes - tricky caches and hot work - lost the track here for a while. Thanks for the series
Today we wanted to continue with this series, which we started on a previous visit to Coffs Harbour, so we went out caching with twista747 who lives in the local area. Of the 16 caches left in the series for us to find, we were successful with most, but had to DNF 3 and did not bother to look for one, which had too many DNF logs for it to be of interest. It was disappointing not to be able to complete the series.
This log urgently needs to be replaced as it is simply mush and could not be signed.
Individual info had been added to some of the logs where it is appropriate.
Thanks go to brad1987 for the series.

Spent the day walking from Coffs to Boambee doing this series, at times the path was hard to find, boots and socks very necessary. Several logs wet and not possible to write on. We soon caught on to the style of cache and hide Many thanks .
A quick find today for this one, in the late afternoon. The log looks a little worse for wear, quite wet and we apologise that we had nothing to replace it with today. Signed.
Thanks

Just returned from my holiday and catching up on the logs from my fantastic trip. Found but log was too wet to sign all good with this cache as I work my way south to Sawtell. Signed log. Thanks
Generic log used, TFTC and the series. A nice bush walk along the back of the sand dunes with the sound of the ocean and occasional views of the beach.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Found while out with nellc for a day of caching at Coffs very nice hide. TFTC.
Found h s one sitting on ground have reattached to ring but camo and log need a little attention log is wet. TFTC.

Like other logs here, this will be a generic log for the entire series.
We started the day at 930am on the Sunday of the June long weekend, with the intension of finding all 22 today. The day didn’t start out too well as we couldn’t find #1. Grrr. Went strait to #3 and not knowing what exactly we were looking for, we went on and found a few more and realised the caches were the same. Co-ords were all spot on and loved the trail. Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere with the occasional beautiful ocean view. Oh and the occasional plane to remind us where right next to the airport runway. I was surprised to find not 1 spider web and no snakes today. Lol. We did however find a well camouflaged lizard in a tree we were looking in. Got a fright when I saw him. Would have been about 2ft long. Found all caches ok in a roundabout 5 min time frame, except #23. We looked and looked as you can image, but finding nothing. Checked logs and found the last 4 were dnf’s. Oh well, called our friends to pick us up as we were exhausted. It was 3pm at this stage, long day but had a great day geocaching. Dropped us back at our car and deciding to go back to #1 and find it, which we did. So a great day with 21 finds and 1 dnf. Awesome series and TFTC’s !!

We went out for the day, learning the ropes with Mystery Sleuth. Gorgeous day for a dunes / beach walk, searching for caches.
No muggles around, but plenty of thorns attached themselves to our socks!
TFTC, lovely day had by all!

Out with Got It Good who were visiting Coffs Harbour for the weekend and learning about geocaching.
This will be a generic log for the series with a few exceptions. This was a lovely enjoyable walk with finding a geocache every few hundred meters or so and with it being like that before you knew it you were at the end. Most were fairly quick and easy to find exept a few of them.
After finishing the series we walked back along the beach and the beach walk felt like it went on forever and I was warn out. But it was a great day out and we all had fun in the sun.
Thanks for the series Brad187

Still walking and grabbing smilies. But now we turn back along the waterfront. Tftc
I can see my car where I left it as I walk back along the beach typing up my logs for the day. Found 11 with one dnf.
Great start to the day
Very enjoyable

We had been wanting to do this series for a while but last time we were in the area a couple were disabled and the puzzle in #2 pointed to one of the traditionals. We had a bit of spare time this afternoon and headed off. It was a hot but pleasant walk. It took us a little to get our eye in for the type and style of hide but after that most came out OK as we generally found the co ords good but a couple took a little longer. Some of the logs towards the end of the trail were a touch damp and one had a couple of drops of water which we drained out. We saw a number of black cockatoos and goanna on our way. We DNF'd the last traditional as per the last couple of finders but made it to the final. A fav pt for the series. TFTC.
Found with geo hubby
Still enjoying the walk in the dunes
Cache log book damp but still able to stamp our find

Find No: 4913. Visiting from Newcastle, staying in Woolgoolga, been eyeing off this series for a while and finally decided to take the Mighty Prado for a run along the beach, some of the coords seemed a bit sus but we managed OK so far, thanks for the series brad1987!!
Completed Maintenance on the entire trail with summerr123. Replaced all containers and logs as the last containers didn't hold up to the weather. You are now looking for camod bison tubes.
We walked along this track finding the Caches quite quickly. The Caches were all, almost right at the CoOrds.
It was a warm day so it was a nice relief when we emerged at the Southern End of the trail. Then we went Inland once more for the Final Cache before setting out on the 6km Beach Walk back to the car park.
Thanks to brad1987 to setting up this trail.

We had seen this power trail appear on a previous visit to Coffs and have been itching to do it since then.
Our Geocaching Daughter & her Geocaching Partner residents of Coffs were also itching to do them but I had made them promise they would wait for us so we could do them together.
We now had our opportunity as we had been to Sydney for our Church Conference and planned to make the morning available on the way back to knock these over.
What was more exciting for us is that our Daughters partner has a 4WD so we planned to attack them from the beach. We knew that it would mean we would have to cross more vegetation but the thrill of beach driving overcame that.
This will be a generic log with a few side notes.
We had an absolute ball going for & finding all these caches even with the spiky plants and spiky seeds that attached themselves to us in the hundreds.
The log was damp here but we scratched our names on a dryer page.
Thanks Brad1987 for a fantastic trail on this beautiful beach!!!!

Got dropped off here this arvo to get the rest of these caches. Got some good exercise doing this lot. TFTC
This trail was a good part of my coming for another visit to Coffs Harbour. I likely would have at least gotten started on it last time I was here if I realised it was a little more terrainy.
I parked near the 4WD access to Boambee Beach and soon had set out along the trail. It started out nice until I come across the billion things that kept getting stuck all over my shoes. I think this slowed me down considerably every five seconds pulling another dozen off my sock so it did not hurt to walk.
Either way this afternoon I found #1, and #3 up to #18, I could have kept going, but likely would have end up having to walk back up the beach in the dark. So had set my cut off to 5.30pm, and made it back to the car just around 6.30.
This trail is very well put together, and really does get you working for those smilies.

We set up camp at Coffs Harbour & this morning we wamted to takle the Beach walk. We had pprass drop hubby off at #24 & I started walking from #17.
The coords were all great which made for mostly easy finds, I found #17 the toughest but saying this we had a DNF on #1.
This was a pleasant walk amongst the sand dunes which we completed one way in just over 2 hours.
#24 will get a favourite for the track
Thanks for placing this cache brad1987

This one took a bit of bush bashing to find, but eventually spotted it. TFTC.

We continued on the trail with Bobbiesgirl. A nice sea breeze along here but we wouldn't like it any hotter. I know I signed the log but I don't remember who found the cache. TFTC brad1987.
Found this one too in the company of geono. could see and hear the planes coming and going TFTC
Having found #1 a week or so ago, the geo-crew ventured down the track on the bikes to explore and find this cache series. The sand on the track was soft (not suitable for pushies past #3) and the walk back along the beach was into a stiff nor-easterly which made for a long and strenuous afternoon. The girls gave up after a while and headed back to the car but the geo-son and I pushed on.
Sand, sand and more sand. Just lean against the bikes and push! Many thanks brad1987

Time was starting to become a factor and hoped for a quick find - and was lucky enough to do so
Spent a bit of time on ten,so I found this one while junior run off to twelve,as we are on a time limit today.TFTC.
Found at 2:34 PM GAFF1. This is working quite well with the walk/shadow drive system - however after the Blue Tongue lizard sighting, every twisted root and stick on the track looks like a snake!
Thanks brad1987.
Thanks brad1987.

Co-ords were a bit out for this one as we closed in on the final cache in this series.
Usual spot though which made the find a little easier. A hard slog this! We had a 2 hour nap when we got back
