No luck here today, may have gone in the floods. We didn't find your cache today 4 May 2024 1:04pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Mebclever
No luck for me here. The smell from the dead roo was making me nauseous. I hope to return.
Sir_spectre and I decided we needed to get away for a few days, so off to Murray Sunset NP and Mildura we went. Not a huge number of caches were found, but we had a great time exploring the NP. We fixed anything we could. Thanks to Mebclever from mogni
Out for an family adventure on a public holiday. Geohubby made a find after some investigation around the area. Geokids were fascinated by the different perspective of a bridge and how it was made.
The water flowing and the sounds of local bird life made this a very pleasant GZ, TFTC!!

While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful, day albiet cold and wet, and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
The man went down. Down then appeared back up after locating the cache. On way home we think after doing 3 states in 1 day TFTC
Despite reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint, it took a minute or so of hunting before this well hidden cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Mebclever for the cache.
Heading from Berri to Wentworth for the 3 States events this weekend with AnyMules & KiwiOzzie. We took the Northern route for some different scenery and a few caches.
A quick stop here to take in the views and of course find the cache.

Interesting spot and an interesting bit of history. Found the cache after a bit of searching around under the bridge.

#13044 - 5:51:00 PM; Day 4 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Mildura last night and after a good feed and a good night's sleep, "The Turtle Series" was our major target today. After spending most of the morning on that series, I caught up with family for lunch and some family business, before heading over the river for the rest of the afternoon in and around Wentworth. Found most of the caches we had on the 'to do' list, with a couple of DNFs as well. Those we found were mostly in good order and now have Sdl and L.L10n or vice versa in the logs as evidence of our visit. Last stop for the day and we made it much harder than it needed to be. That may bhave been due to the copious amount of spider webs at GZ! Happy that we got there in the end TFTC Mebclever
After a couple of great days in and around Wang at the Mega, followed by a drive to Echuca, LuckyL10n and I were now in Mildura. LL has some business to attend to, however with time before and after meetings we set on the path of the 'Turtle' and other caches that we passed.
This afternoon we headed out to Wentworth to check out a few caches....as well as checking out the confluence of the two rivers. No issues with this one and our names were soon in the log book after a short search.
Thanks for the cache.....

Having indulged in ️ and apple turnover with fresh cream, I beadled out here to log a few strays. Yesterday’s weather was foul. Today the sun was beaming down on Sunraysia
Interesting location and stopped to look at the info board. Then scooted down under for a quick find. Took a pic of the bridge from below.

We arrived in Curlwaa yesterday, and after a morning working, we rewarded ourselves with a trip out into the countryside. We had planned on having an afternoon picking up around twenty to thirty caches, but as we checked out the news, we realised that Victoria might be closing the border. Much and all as we love being in New South Wales, we do not want to be stuck there indefinitely so we decided to grab this and a couple of other caches and then make the dash across the Murray. This old bridge is beautiful and it is a pity it has fallen into disrepair. We braved the spider webs in the hair and found the cache quickly. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache Mebclever.
#4582 Today we whipped out from camp on the Darling River to visit Lake Victoria for a looksee and picnic lunch (including taking delicious camp fire baked bread). On returning from Lake Victoria we managed to pick up a trio of caches along this stretch of road.
This was the first find which was found after a methodical search of the olde bridge structure at gz. Plenty of water in the old anabranch today. A great read of the nearby info sign of this interesting area. TFTC Mebclever.

Through the spiky bushes and a fast find by GLISS! Amazing tree nearby!
Stopped in here as part of our Great Western County Hunt. It has been a truly incredible trip, as I managed to pick up the last four counties I needed to fill in my NSW county map. A super exciting thing to complete. Thanks for enabling our crazy adventures. Thanks for the cache.

Found during a caching trip from home in the Adelaide Hills, to Burra, Terowie, and staying for two nights at Broken Hill, then down to Menindee Lakes, back to Broken Hill and down the western side of the Darling River to Wentworth, across to Renmark for the fourth night and then home via Karoonda in the SA mallee Murraylands. Thanks for the cache Mebclever!
West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 7. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Today dawned a bit cloudy, but that did not stop is finishing the caches in Wentworth and the Perry Dunes. On the way out of town we were stopped by an unmarked police car for stopping before a checkpoint we were never going to go through. Nice guys, too many guns. Caching continued to Gol Gol, Euston and finished for the night in Balranald.
Thanks for the cache Mebclever

Day 2 of my road trip with biggles1024, we still had a few caches to find in Mildura this morning before heading to Renmark and then onto Loxton were we had a series to concentrate on as well as a few more target caches.
This looked like an interesting spot to stop so we did and it was.

Nice day to find a cache.
On a short road trip with Purrfect Di and Jack.
We came across your cache and had to sign it off!
Old bridge it is, and plenty of water in the Anabranch,
along with dozens of carp flapping around in the water on a hot day !
Well hidden,

Sadly today was our last day in Mildura, we headed to Wentworth in the very good company of Suscoe in an effort to tidy up a few errant caches on our geo-maps. Managed to find this one this time after a miss back in December 2017.
Our thanks 'Mebclever' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Another wonderful day in the Mildura region.
Clear skies, lovely sunshine, lots of caches to search for and great company.
What more could you wish for.

We have made an 6 week road trip trough Australia en did some caching just for fun. We could log some and some we couldn’t! But we enjoyed the views and surroundings. Al thanks for placing the caches.
Camping along the river today we headed out to explore Wentworth using Geocaching as our tour guide.

This one wasn't too far from our last find ("The Old Black Stump") and there were a couple of others not too far from here that we decided to skip as I didn't think we would have time to go off track searching for them as I wanted to get to the Overland Corner campsite at a reasonable time this afternoon. This one sounded interesting so we stopped, found the cache, read the interesting information about the old bridge before heading on our way again.

Whilst doing a trip around NSW following the Murray and Darling Rivers, visiting the following places, Young, Mulwala, Barham, Wentworth, Mungo National Park, Copi Hollow, Wilcannia, Louth, Brewarrina, Warrumbungles and Tamworth, crossing over the border to visit some adjacent town on the way. No find for this one today. Probably spent to much time looking for the rating.. Will have to try some other time Mebclever.
Attempted to find this at 9:56:00 AM on 5Oct2018

Unfortunately this 2.5/1.5 didn't want to show itself to us today!
Thanks for the hunt anyway Mebclever.

This one took a while to find but we did in the end, a nice spot to stop for a while as we took the back road to Renmark.
Found on a road trip from Sydney to SW Victoria. This one took a lot of searching to find, but I got there eventually. Thanks for the cache Mebclever! TNLN
I have been on a two week trip to southwest New South Wales and had time to seek a number of caches along the way. This cache was a straightforward find. The old bridge is in good repair; what a pity that you can't walk on it. Thank you Mebclever for this cache.
TheCatBandits out on another family adventure lovely drive to this destination and well worth the long drive such a beautiful spot. Thank you for bringing us here. Found cache with out to much hassle. TNLN TFTC
After a few days away from home it was time to start heading back to reality again. We don't mind staying off the black-top and were surprised to find a little bling, so we left a little to return the favour. Stopping for caches made the drive more interesting. Thank you for the great views and history lessons learned.

found this one when I came over for the 4 months to the Surf Coast Event - Mildura event. it was targeted for the " well aged well travelled cacher " challenge cache back in SA.

Our 6 day trip was supposed to follow the Murray from Kerang to Loxton but running out of time as we usually we had to cut it short and this was a far west as we managed but still managed to collect one of out goals which was to find a least one cache in Map 1 for the Victorian Road Atlas Challenge, and this one just scrapes in.
I was surprised how wide and full the Anabranch was, shame the information boards were missing

Had cached in Wentworth previously a couple of weeks ago, but came out to have a look at Art back cafe as i had never been there before... it was pretty cool and we will be returning one afternoon to have a orange juice there! We found this cache quickly, we were looking in the wrong places at first but then Lord Rossatron had an idea and followed his instinct, as i have a terrible ankle especially on cold days i could not follow him, i sat up on the chair freezing while he got his hands on the cache I was happy to be back in the car in the warmth of the heater. haha! Had never been out this far before, it was great. Thanks for the cache!
Didn't take too long to find this one, I will admit it was a little longer than it should have been but still quickish. I left a TB here for the next finders
A quick find, but not quite where I thought it would be. After signing the log and whilst taking a few photos, I suddenly heard voices above. I peeked out stealthily assuming they would be geocachers. Surprisingly it was my nearest neighbours from the caravan park, who had packed up this morning. "You must like exploring too" was their comment! Turned out they were taking this road to Overland Corner. We stopped for a chat about their route and they checked their directions with me and then it was time to head off again. Lovely spot! Cache #2425.
This cache was one of several caches visited on my way from Berri, South Australia to Bendigo, Victoria, with caching friends. We had a wonderful trip - TFTC. This was an awesome detour from our planned route.
We're off on another family geocaching holiday! The geofamily: Geoparents = moneydork and tounga, geosis = locus cache and myself. Another raid into Mexico and that other state to the north of Mexico. The car was loaded and we were set off on the long road east. Who knows what adventure we would be in for this trip. Today Geodad had us all over the place but the underlying theme of fun and maniacal murders remained with the family all day long.
Cool spot, love the history here.
Thanks for the cache Mebclever.

4461 found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1030. A magnificent old structure that had finally seen it's use by date. With the ever increasing weight of modern transport we could see why the new construction took place. in 1886 when the old was originally built the heaviest transport would have been a Dray and team of horses. SL Tnx Mebclever

I rolled the geomobile to a stop in the carpark and hopped out to view the bridge and info signs
Alas !! Another advertisement of "responsible gun ownership"
NOT !!
Hard to read the signs when some di@khe%ad has shot the living daylights out of them
So I wandered off to find me the cache
And after 10 minutes had not found the cache
I retreated to the geomobile to read the notes again ...
... OK !! The cache is probably still there !!
And so I returned to GZ and looked again.
A second look in a spot I had already looked revealed the ever so faint outline of a cache in the gloom !!
Ah !! Basic Black Camo
Fools me everytime

after work, i made my way to the old bridge. i drove past it several times before, but never stopped. it took me a minute or two to find the cache, i think this is the best possible spot for it. unfortunately, the FTF was already gone. TFTC!
p.s.: an FTF log should, as far as i'm concerned, be posted asap after the find (so other cachers know that the FTF is gone) and contain a sentence or two, or at least proper words.
