Due to this cache not being found by the last cacher and also due to the fact that it is not fund often, anyway, and also due to us living in Victoria and not going back to Queensland we are going to archive this cache now.

Went here today, the Stockyard Creek one was an easy find but this one we looked everywhere for and could not find it. However a lot of trees appeared to have been felled in the area, maybe this had something to do with it.

Now here's a hidden away park I have visited before Razz
So I knew the way to it.
More development is occuring on the southern boundary,
and dozers and diggers were sitting idly nearby.
A bumpy drive across the paddock took me to the gate,
and I strolled from there Smile

A read of the info board,
and I looked for the cache.
A nice easy find in the obvious place Big Grin

We were quite impressed with this little area of parkland, and really enjoyed our walk through it. Cache almost had us STUMPED, but after a bit of a search we had it in hand and signed the log. Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.

I was in town this weekend to attend my High School 30 year class reunion. Had today to wind down and visit the district and take the geodaughter to the beach at Woodgate. I had caching on my mind today so we stopped by this reserve to find this pair of caches, first find was this one and the other one filled a spot on my AUSmer challenge. Tft caches in this very attractive reserve.

When I found this one, water was running out of the container, evidently it had been submerged under water during recent rains. Not surprised as it is only a couple of feet above the current water level.
There was evidence that the flood water had been several metres deep through here.
Anyhow to cut a long story short, left the logbook to dry out on a fence post while I went to look for the other one.
On my return, the logbook was dry enough to sign, but, there would be a continual problem with the container. Have replaced the container with a screw top plastic jar, I find these are much more water tight than Sistema's and if it is returned to the position I left it at the same cords, should stay out of trouble.
These two caches were released on the day that I found Stockyard Creek, I didn't find out until I was home to write up the logs.

Found it the other day while down in Childers. Only logging it in now, loved the environmental park, didn't even know it was there, so many great walking trails. Went and found your other cache as well as the one in the vines. Also took a stroll up to the lookout - love how old the big trees are and the cute little picnic table with the bridge going over the creek.
Such an amazing place to walk and explore, thanks for the great kiddy cache with the swaps inside Wink

Up to Bundy for a few days for a not so pleasant reason - and today I get the job of driving back to Brisbane in the car. No other responsibilities today. Have noticed these on the TomTom many trips this year, but never the opportunity before to stop. Till today. Found OK once I'd worked out the way in.
Thanks for placing this cache, Julie&GGs. Found in good condition.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Julie&GGs. We found your cache "Russo Environmental Park - The Beginning" at 11:17:00 AM today.
This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 6 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9584.)
[Blue]
Today's cache run was to add to our current streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, which has been going since New Years Day 2013.

We came here two years ago (to find the other cache), and were very pleased to find that a couple more have been placed here.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Fair. (We found the cache around 6m W from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
