Logs
Thanks for putting these out. Log book very wet but new water proof paper added by previous cacher.
We are staying at Omarama and had a perfect day to head towards Benmore Power Station on our bikes bagging caches on the way. Many thanks for placing them in interesting places.
Couldn't sign as it was too wet. I left it slightly open hoping it will dry & the next person will put the lid back on.
Nice wee find although filled with water and wasnt able to right in the log without roughing it
Day5 on the A20 cycle ride from Omarama to Otematata (38km). The weather started off cool and cloudy but was soon scorching hot. Found after a bit of a search as the cache was well covered in natural camo. The log was a little damp but we were able to sign our names on it. TFTC
On a trip south from Tauranga. Nice to collect smiles along the way. Camped up in omaramara so a good opportunity to gather some of these. All good here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Found it! Container wet and no plastic bag so log wet. If anyone is looking for a clue - pole with ear tag. If your GPS is out like mine seems to be you'll find that helpful.
Day 2 of our A2O odyssey. A short day, Omarama to Otematata due to the number of caches that needed to be found.

Cycling the trails so only stopping to grab a few caches on the way. TFTC!!!
Holidaying in the area and with a multitude of caches available what else to do but collect a few ‘Smileys’. Called in to sign off your one today, thanks for placing this one.
#19332. On the way in to Omarama we'd seen there was good parking on the other side of the road, and decided to stop here on the way back to Kurow. A short walk and a quick find, just before some two wheel muggles came past. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 2 of our Waitangi weekend to Kurow and surrounds. Today we are doing a loop trip, travelling the road east of Lake Aviemore, then up to Omarama for a late lunch back south to Kurow, finding 55 caches along the way.
Now we have filled our stomachs and the petrol tank, time to head back to Kurow. This was another park n' grab of the OM/OT series. Will have to return with bikes to do the rest. TFTC.

Quick find. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2326
An enjoyable weekend enjoying the scenic McKenzie area, and finding some great caches along the way. On the bike for a few of the A2O trails. Perfect day for a ride. TFTC
In Omarama for a few days. Rode the OM / OT trail with the Grandkids and Liz. TFTC's
Treating a few of these as park and grabs. Luckily not too much traffic so we can park the bus on the grass. TFTC
It started well then rained on us as we went out for a walk. Thanks for placing this.
Hello from Perth WA
We found this while on our South Island adventure.
Wish we had bikes. We're gathering them as P&G's.

This was a good marker here as using the phone GPS in my pouch is not as easy. Thanks for the cache hill55
Thanks Hill55 Day 4 of A2O...collecting caches as we go along the lake edge ..a very nice trail on a cool foggy morning...thanks for the placement and effort to set this trail
Out geocaching for the day with Aussie Pete.

Had the opportunity for a long weekend in the area, was great to be back picking up unfound caches and some new ones. Many thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. My apologies for the generic logging!
Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.

On our daily trip from Lake Tekapo to Oamaru, we found some caches like this one. Thanks for it!

I am happily logging caches along the trail with the rest of the biking group still back in town. TFTC
Last night, LtCaine and I parked at a campground nearby. While checking on the route for the next day we saw quite a good number of geocaches along the way. As we had some time for the next day and didnt want to be in Oamaru too early, we figured we might just break our "most caches per day" record. We headed down the highway with multiple stops for the caches, went to Benmore peninsula and the elephant rocks afterwards. The reward? A couple of scratches, stunning views and 42 caches to add to our found lists! Thanks for hiding!
#no. 11 / 42 today

Last night, ReCached and I parked our awesome campervan next to the Ahuriri River between Omarama and Twizel. While we were planning the next day, we noticed a bunch of geocaches on the way to Otematata as well as on the Benmore Peninsula Track. We love Geocaching and we felt the need to decelerate our journey a little bit - an easy task with all those awesome containers out there! To round off the day, we also stopped at the gigantic Elephant Rocks near Duntroon. At the end of day, we managed to find 42 geocaches. TFTC hill55!

In Omarama for a caching weekend with BCD. After a quick bite to eat it was time to head towards Otemetata with a few P&G's for me while BCD was driving. We picked the ones on the same side as it was a busy road and not ideal parking in places! Nice quick find. TFTC
A chance to do bits of the A2O beyond Omarama or the weekend geocaching at Oamaru. Since Oamaru is closer to home and Mr i-gotit prefers cycling and we have already done the A2O near Oamaru then these caches here won out. Quick find.
This is another one in this series completed. About time be took to the bikes and completed it. A beautiful blue sky day with still plenty of snow on the hills.
+ a marble, - nothing.

After overnighting in Omarama, just had to collect a few more of these before heading north today. Cache was a quick find with the good clue. TFTC
On a mission from Rolleston to Tekapo, Twizel, Omarama, Kurow, Waimate and home again. Found over 100 caches, which was the goal for the day. A bit drizzly for a start but beautiful sunshine through the Mackenzie. Thanks to all the CO's and apologies for the cut and paste.
I found so many caches today, that I weite one text for all of them. I cycle the A2 bike ride. Never met so many caches on a treck. Thank you and greetings from Germany.
Day # 6 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's tour took me from beautiful Cromwell via Omarama, Otematata am Kurow to beautiful Timaru.
I passed along some great lakes [^] that showed stunning views , inviting for a photo-stop or for a little rest . And - best of all! - the sun was shining all day today [^].
Along the road there were quite a few treasures waiting to be discovered
The OM/OT-series at Omarama catched my eyes and I decided to go for it.
Realized quickly, that the bicycle-trail is not really made for (even small) green cars [B)] - so I coul not go for every box...
But I ended up with 15 of 20 boxes of the series - great! [^] A special thanks [:X] goes out to hill55 - and a favorite-point at #20 [^].
Hey - Otago and Canterbury - you have awesome caches [^] [:X]!
A big thanks to all Owners involved [:X] [:X] for hiding and maintaining. [^]
Cheers from Germany

Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Today we decided on a multi-day tour, first stop going from Omarama
Geraldine Fairlie Lake Tekapo, Pukaki lake, on the road we will be forced to slow down because before us are carrying a full house on a truck, and no one can overtake, just where the road allows it we will go ahead, unique experience.
sunny day and the many tourists lakes, very beautiful places.
On the way we will stop looking for some cache
Greetings from Italy

We've covered it up again after the linemen's visit. Rosiepo11 had a good chat with the cows who all came over to see what we're up to! TFTC
I was highly motivated to do this series on foot but in the last minute I decided to do it as a grab and go with the car which was the better decision because some caches are more for grab and go hidden than for example a bicycle. Thanks for showing me another beautiful spot of NZ!
This side makes it easier... no crossing the road. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc hill55. Find # 3961
Heading down to Twizel for the long weekend for a get together with friends. Time for a bit of a drive/bike around the place to fill in time for the rest of the group to arrive.
This part of the A2O trail is great.NIcely off road with plenty of space. Thanks for the hide.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

In Central for a Weekend. Small deviation to pick up a few on the way home. TFTC
The container was wet inside and it was difficult to write on the waterproof paper but we managed to make our mark. Found with debsnz
Lest we forget today is ANzac day. We stayed the night at Omarama and headed for the clay cliffs in the morning.
Then off we set on our bikes. We took our packed lunch. Now for a bit of uphill.

I decided to collect a few more of these, on foot, until the weather makes up its mind. TFTC!!
Toodling along quite nicely considering it's been a while since biking anywhere. Stopped and watched a glider being towed and released, must add that to the bucket list. TFTC
A straightforward find while riding the Alps to Ocean cycle trail.
