From the guidelines http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx?expand=1#coordinates
Listings must contain accurate GPS coordinates.

You must visit the cache location and obtain the coordinates with a GPS device. GPS usage is an integral and essential element of both hiding and seeking caches and must be demonstrated for all cache submissions. Projecting waypoints from a specific location already defined by set of coordinates is permissible. For geocaches that include additional waypoints see the guidelines specific to those cache types.

Update the cache with some accurate coordinates before you enable it please.

If the coordinates take you to a "zone" that's 40+m from the cache location then it doesn't really fit the cache hiding guidelines:

"Technical Requirements

Listings must contain accurate GPS coordinates.

You must visit the cache location and obtain the coordinates with a GPS device. GPS usage is an integral and essential element of both hiding and seeking caches and must be demonstrated for all cache submissions. Projecting waypoints from a specific location already defined by set of coordinates is permissible. For geocaches that include additional waypoints see the guidelines specific to those cache types."

I would suggest that coordinates that are out by 40+ metres could not possibly be described as accurate.

Still there and GPS co-ordinates will take you to the zone and close to the GC, not direct to it.

05-Jan-15
The coords are to far out and need to be amended as with Ian & Penny's log.

Found it thanks to Ian and Penny's log.

Hi there C&M+B&B. We found your cache "IceCream" at 1:56:00 PM today.
This was our only find today. (So this now makes our find count 9749.)
[Blue]
We are trying to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to the streak of "Most Consecutive Days" cached, which we started on New Years Day 2014.)

We looked for this one yesterday, but the coordinates put us in a construction zone - so we moved on. Sad

Today, after receiving an email from the cache owner, (and also reading some previous logs) we decided to give this one another go - and the cache was soon in hand. Big GrinSmile
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 44 m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Unable to locate this cache. Lots of roadworks & maintenance happening at GZ

After heading out to Rupertswood for some Sunday afternoon caching this was the first on our list.

After reading the logs we punched the alternate coords into the GPS. Once we reached the correct GZ the cache was soon in hand.

I've stopped at this petrol station too many times to count on my visits to TSV as I have field work nearby. It's good there is finally a cache here. I saw the coords were way off - they indicate the drain which is being replaced but the other coords are good and put you where the hint indicates so I made a quick find. Signed and replaced.

Thanks!

For those who are looking for this cache be aware that the co-ordinates are a LONG way out. I have emailed the owner about it but received no response. The cache can be found at S19° 19.163 E146° 36.309. It is an easy cache to find with the correct co-ordinates.

A joint FTF with RobS72 and MPP. RobS72 came up with the goods when the listed co-ordinates had us in the middle of the road. The co-ordinates are about 45 metres out! TFTC. Smile

On a caching mission with Mattcns and RobS72, with this one first on the list........ Those who know Mattcns well know how fond of an FTF he is! We weren't sure which sign to check out and that is where having more than one on the hunt helps a lot. RobS72 found the goods gaining an FTF too. TFTC!

Out caching today with MattCNS and Mtn Pygmy Possum. Arrived at the GZ and the coordinates had us almost out onto the road. We started searching nearby areas and eventually, the three of us had dispersed in all different directions. Eventually the prize was found about 40 metres from the listed coordinates. On opening the log, we found that we were FTF.

These coordinates worked best for me today: S19° 19.163 E146° 36.309.
