Road is pretty dug up from 4WD tyres so you need to walk about 50m - be careful of snakes! Good hide. TFTC.
As the roads in this part of the Jeparit were dry, we decided to look for a number of caches that may have been off limits if there had bee consistent rain fall in the previous day. There was no activity at the boat ramp this morning but there was a lot of evidence of some in big 4WDs having churned us nearby tracks. We left our car short from this cache and walked the short distance. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks tackle_head for the cache.
Hooley Dooley, you weren't joking about not driving here in wet weather. Seen the ruts and the water and decided not to risk the biscuit. Parked up and put the crocs into 4wd mode. Found easily which was much appreciated in the conditions.
Surprisingly easy find.Replaced where found..Mr Riddell actually saw the Boat Ramp when we overshot the corner, Mrs Riddell blinked and missed it!TFTC
Adelaide to Hobart road trip.
Day One: Gumeracha to Jeparit.
Weather: perfect.
Having just paid my fees at the caravan park, I’m free to squeeze in a few more caches and see a bit more of the area in the last light of the day.
All quiet at this spot, and a quick find here.
Thanks again nom234.

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks nom234 (F=138 H=15) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Not sure that this road will be quite as nice should the rain become heavier. Thanks for placing the cache for GT37 and I to find.
Found on the way to Wyperfeld NP, to spend a weekend 4WDing with our caching friends.
Due to an unplanned stopover for Chunk at the Wimmera Base Hospital this morning, we ran out of time to do our planned loop around the lake today, but will have to come back again to do this. TFTC and for bringing us here nom234.

Finally off on my 4 day weekend away to catch up with some fellow cachers and good friends around Wyperfeld National Park.
I headed up the Calder, turned west at Charlton and meandaring around the back roads to get to my destination for the night which is Lake Albacutya.
The weather is not being so kind to me today so it is a quick run and hopefully find and get back to the Geocruiser and on to the next one kind of day.
After visiting Rainbow I was heading towards Lake Albacutya but instead of turning right I turned left and decided to do a loop of Lake Hindmarsh as I had plenty of time.
Down the southern end of the lake near Jeparit and I’m following the Wimmera river for a bit.
After doing a u turn at the fork in a road I headed into here.
Some of the tracks have some very deep ruts in them but with the rain we have had I think I will avoid them.
I wonder if the ski club still exists as the place looks pretty deserted but the river looks in good shape at the moment around here.
I soon located the cache and now to head into town to have a look around.
Thanks nom234 TFTC.

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. With the van in tow we didn't try and stop as we travelled.
We headed for Brim and spent 3 nights there at the lovely community camp and collected some caches in a couple of loops from there.

School holidays means a road trip with the geofamily! This time we decided to explore the Wimmera Mallee to see some of this vast amazing state! Nice easy find here. Thanks for the cache
Quick find with tassie expat while exploring this great area. I find it funny there's a ski club, fishing club out here. Good luck to them, just funny. Tftc
A quick find with frmen1. Had a bit of a giggle going past the clubs in the area. They seem odd in such a dry place. The river looked cool and welcoming though. TFTC

Found on our Wimmera adventure. Nice and easy drive by before the kids fell asleep and made it harder for us to justify stopping for a cache. Thanks
05/10/2018 - 6.00pm - Find No. 973 - 3rd of 5 finds - with nom234/sister/CO as chauffeur.
The plan was for to head out for a bit of finding of nom's caches as I had only found 4 of her 15 at 2 previous attempts. The weather had cooled down & we thought it was a bit safer with the hope the dangerous "sticks" may have moved off. We didn't see any signs of big or little slitherers so we were happy!
I was remembering back to the first time I went out with her & she handed over her finding device (something I had never used at the time!) & said 'Here you go ... wiggle this & press this ... I'll sit here & watch you & laugh when necessary!' Luckily the instructions were enough for my first finding-device finds.
She drove, we chatted, I found, signed, photo'd & returned caches as found. Nom decided to hop out for a wander & as I was admiring the immediate location she said 'I can't really remember where I put it ... it was that long ago..." The sudden complete silence was a great giveaway ... although my back was actually turned to her at the time so it wasn't really much of a help We did admire the bit of camo used ... it's was very good camo!
Cache all good ... after inspection by both of us [8)]
Thanks for the hunt Nom ... I still think you could hide some more ... so I could get some FTF's!

Grabbed this cache before we headed to Rainbow for lunch. This area was extremely muddy after a couple of days of heavy rain, so we parked and then walked the last part to GZ,

Found on a three day caching wander with AussieM&M!!!! We centred our searches in the Ararat area but ventured further afield when some of our planned caches were either disabled or on very slushy dirt roads. Very cold and plenty of rain ….. although we seemed to dodge the worse of it!!! Very muddy here … we walked the last 50m. Thanks for the hide!!
After the heavy rain last night the tracks are very wet and slippery but thankfully the Cruiser made it easy.
Thanks nom234 for the placement for us and others to enjoy.

I suppose this is the "launching point" for water skiers before entering Lake Hindmarsh itself unless, of course, boats and skiers can both pull really tight turns since the Wimmera River ain't that wide!
Anyway we soon found the cache and continued on with our tour around the Jeparit area - caching of course!

At a 2 day fishing competition between Murtoa and Jeparit we are camping on the side of the river, so I walked up and grabbed these caches. Sl thanks for the cache.
Wasn't expecting to get this far out of town, as we are camped in Warracknebeal but doing a loop through Dimboola and Jeparit on our way to Alice Springs for the Event over Easter. A quick find and after signing duties were completed I returned the cache to its hidey hole. TFTC TNLN SL
I took the long way from the Weir to this one but it was entertaining. Cache was found easily too.
Found as part of the SAW STUFF secret men's business weekend. Southern Cross Caching, Astro ,Waldron, Shonky Logic, The White Dog Gang, Uni, Four Fun and Freddo.
We came, we cached, we cycled and we left. Thanks for your cache placement and my apologies for the generic logs in most situations as we found hundreds

This game gives an excuse to drive though mud - looks like there hasn't been a visitor here since summer... Tftc took a marble left a magnet
Not much action at the Ski Club today, but plenty of action finding this cache . A good hide and good co ords . Thanks nom234.
Ski Club. This would do Engelberg proud.
Thanks to nom234 and clear skies from TeamAstro. [^]

No ski boats out today. Perhaps the water level in the Wimmera river is a bit low? TFTC
Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. The geo son check this out as a possible fishing spot while we make a easy enough find.

This was one of the caches we found as we started our drive around the lake picking up some caches as we travelled North, thanks nom234 for the cache.
This place was deserted again today, maybe due to lack of water in the lake? A beautiful day for caching anyway, so didn't bother us that no one was around. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

I decided at a good road trip was in order, after having a look over the map I decided on heading up this way for a gander at the goods.
The temp looked like it was going to be ok for the day and it look like all the rain had passed from the late week deluge we had around town (St.Arnaud)
By the end of the day I had racked up 28 finds, No DNFs and almost 550ks under my bum.
I decided to hit the ones out of town first. Thankfully I had all this area to myself
After getting the cache I walked down the ramp to have a look around.

After doing the nearby Weir geocache we meandered our way into this one. We took a track that was a bit dodgy after the rain, so after a bit of backtracking we made our way to the GZ and found the cache in good order. TFTC Nom234
Followed the main track nearly all the way as had a 2wd in the convoy. Nice little spot to chill out. Thanks for dragging us around this way. TNLNSL
on the way to Rainbow for our annual dirt bike ride , was good to have a guided tour of the area - tftc nom234
Found on the weekend attack on Mexican caches by a couple of Kiwis and a couple of Aussies, surprisingly there were no slayings although we talked a lot about maniacal murders along the way.
One of the half dozen or so we found while passing through the area.
Thanks for the cache nom234.

Found on a fantastic weekend away with Moneydork (Hero Husband), Locus Cache and Sushilord. It was not a quiet trip but oh so worth it! Lots of caching, lots of laughter and finally some sleep thrown in when we just couldn't carry on!
Thanks for your cache and helping make our weekend so great.
