Nice & easy find for a park & grab. Wish I had time to visit the museum. Ill definitely be back. TFTC!
We are on our way back over to the West for a friends memorial service but this trip we are taking our time , enjoying the drive and picking up a few caches and taking in the scenery. We are mainly concentrating on Ad Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's as these don't give you any muggle problems. Of course there will be others in between. We pulled up here to grab an adventure lab wpt and we weren't going to drive passed a trad so close without at least looking. With very few muggles around today we managed to find the cache very quickly and our name has been added to the log and everything returned as it was. Many thanks norm234 for the cache.
We are in Jeparit visiting family, and went for a lovely stroll along the river, finding a few caches on the way.I had no idea the museum was so extensive. Will definitely have to do a tour when we are next in the area. Thanks for the cache nom234.
No worries about staff when you do a sneaky night time drive by. Will definitely be back here during opening hour's to explore this little hidden gem. Lucky for Wombat jnr it didn't work, or he'd be temporarily blinded. Why you'd point it straight at your eye's before attempting to turn it on is probably why we need all the warning label's we never had as children growing up in the pre 2000's.
On arrival here we thought it may be inside the boundary and the museum is closed today ( Friday), however on further approach we discovered that it was very accessible and ab easy find.TFTC, this is indeed an interesting place.
Great to be able to slip this case in while doing the Adventure Lab and learning about Robert Menzie
Replaced cache and log. New cache container doesnt work so hopefully no one thinks its worth stealing
This little museum looks like a very interesting place. Speaking to one of the volunteers and the passion really shines through. Cache has a Wet log book but were still able to sign. TFTC
TFTC nom234 your cache An interesting place that we found today we made our way south for Christmas. WWE camped overnight at Lake Lascelles, Hopetoun. A lovely spot by the lake. We decided to stay a second night so today we could finish of the Silo Art Trail we started yesterday as well as some other caches in the Rainbow and Jeparit area. A lovely few hours in the sunshine. A good excuse to give the geo-car a good run. All caches attempted were found in good order.Find Count: 17319
Soggy log book here but an interesting place indeed, although it was closed today as I came past This week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache
Out exploring. Having a good day

Thanks. I thought it was inside the fence so chatted with the volunteer on duty. He was intrigued & came with me to look. Then I saw it on the carpark side. I think I have introduced another person to geocaching.
While in Jeparit this afternoon, we took the opportunity to look for three other caches. This was the third of them.
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks nom234 for the cache.

Day One: Gumeracha to Jeparit.
Weather: perfect.
A quick find here as I make my way back to the caravan park. Judging by the amount of cobweb on the cache, I’m the first visitor to the cache for a while. Too late in the day for anyone to be in the museum.
Thanks again nom234.

As I arrived at GZ I found the cache on the floor, open with the log bit damp. I dried it off as much as I could but I think it will need replacing.
I saw where the cache was supposed to hide so I put it back in it's home.
Thanks for the cache

On a camping road trip and Redda's Park, Brim was our second stop. Today we drove over to Jeparit and Lake Hindmarsh and picked up a few caches along the way. We stopped to find this cache on our way back to the campground. Mr Pooky jumped out of the geo4WD and made a quick easy find. While the Museum was supposed to be open according to the information at the entrance the place was deserted when we visited. TFTC.
Wasn't able to have a look around as everything was closed and we were on a deadline to meet up with some others. Thanks for the cache.
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks nom234 (F=138 H=15) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Found on the way to Wyperfeld NP, to spend a weekend 4WDing with our caching friends.
The museum was closed when we arrived but that made for an easy cache find with no muggles around. TFTC nom234.

Finally off on my 4 day weekend away to catch up with some fellow cachers and good friends around Wyperfeld National Park.
I headed up the Calder, turned west at Charlton and meandaring around the back roads to get to my destination for the night which is Lake Albacutya.
The weather is not being so kind to me today so it is a quick run and hopefully find and get back to the Geocruiser and on to the next one kind of day.
After visiting Rainbow I was heading towards Lake Albacutya but instead of turning right I turned left and decided to do a loop of Lake Hindmarsh as I had plenty of time.
Down the southern end of the lake in Jeparit and a place I remember visiting as a young kid on a family caravan trip.
Getting late in the afternoon and the museum is closed so maybe a good reason to come back again.
Cache was so soon located and now on to my destination for the night and meet up with the rest of the group.
This one gets a fav not necessarily for the actual cache but as it is the last one in town for all of the great work the CO has done in putting caches out and maintaining them.
Thanks nom234TFTC.

Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. With the van in tow we didn't try and stop as we travelled.
We headed for Brim and spent 3 nights there at the lovely community camp and collected some caches in a couple of loops from there.

Returning home after Easter weekend in Wyperfeld NP we wanted to grab a few catches on the drive. Tftc
Found after a short search with tassie expat while exploring and passing through. The museum wasn't open, but tftc
With regional restrictions allowing travel and school holidays on we took the opportunity to get away and follow the Silo Art Trail. This is an interesting looking place but COVID restrictions are keeping it closed. Maybe we will be back on day to check it out from the inside. Thanks for the hide nom234.
The name of this cache is very apt, as this museum is an amazingly interesting place. You could spend hours wandering around looking at the historical items, including an incredible number of farm machinery. Well worth the visit, when it’s open. TFTC. An easy find.

A quick park and grab hoping that the nearby caravan was empty

05/10/2018 - 6.20pm - Find No. 975 - 5th of 5 finds - with nom234/sister/CO as chauffeur.
The plan was for to head out for a bit of finding of nom's caches as I had only found 4 of her 15 at 2 previous attempts. The weather had cooled down & we thought it was a bit safer with the hope the dangerous "sticks" may have moved off. We didn't see any signs of big or little slitherers so we were happy!
I was remembering back to the first time I went out with her & she handed over her finding device (something I had never used at the time!) & said 'Here you go ... wiggle this & press this ... I'll sit here & watch you & laugh when necessary!' Luckily the instructions were enough for my first finding-device finds.
She drove, we chatted, I found, signed, photo'd & returned caches as found.
I was a little startled to see a largish something with 8 legs right were I would need to put my fingers ... oh dear ... gulp ... ah there 's a stick (not a wiggly one!) ... I'll use that ... ... ... yipes ... PHEW!!! IT WAS ONLY A SHELL ... hmmm ... but where is the thing that came out of the shell!!! ... Not here, thank goodness!!
Replacement cache was lovely & shiny new, still with it's replacement/original small swaps inside.
This was our last find for the night & we even got back home in time for me to do the necessary sunset pictures with some river included Great end to our finding trip!
Thanks for the hunt Nom ... I still think you could hide some more ... so I could get some FTF's! Just putting the idea out there ... ... ...
That should be 9 of the existing 15 found, so far.

Day 4 of my latest road trip through undiscovered regions in Vic and SA. Started a wet morning in Swanhill but the clouds dispersed and made way for blue skies and sunshine for most of the day until I reached Horsham where the rain started again, off and on to St Arnaud where I lay my head for the night.
A total of 27 trads today.
#11 After all the dnf's I considered just driving past here but thought since I was this close I may as well check. Glad I did as it was a quick find, right where it said it should be. Either the CO has replaced the cache or someone else has but it matches the description and the hint so all good.
Signed and replaced and I admired the little lizards running around, so many of them!
Thanks nom234

Since moving from New Zealand in 2016 I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T all multiple times.
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go to is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
I enjoy finding well maintained caches in fun and unique cache containers. No one likes finding a mint tin – but a find is a find after all.
Well she was an American girl
Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin' that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else
After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, an d if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl
It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' in the beach
And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach
Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

Cache replaced with a slightly larger one (film canister) now has room for a few tiny swaps. Also hoping my new very sneaky camouflage (heavy sarcasm about the sneaky bit) will deter the birds and stop this cache disappearing.
I suppose the younger generation might not even know what a film canister is

There appeared to be no cache hide hear anymore.
Certainly deserves a visit from the CO.

Thanks nom234 for the placement for us and others to enjoy.

The museum was closed today so we had the place to ourselves. Well, ourselves and about a bazillion ants that erupted from a nearby nest when I blithely stomped across their subterranean abode! This sort of made the search, find and subsequent return of the cache a rather speedy event you could say. Ants! They'll inherit this planet one day, mark my words!!

Nice and quiet around here so no trouble having to look for the cache without being seen. Watch out for the bull ants though.

It looked interesting but was still closed when I was there. Found the cache easily enough and put it back with the white end in to make it a bit more muggle proof.
Replaced with a similar small cache. This one fits a bit tighter so hopefully it will stay there longer.

No fuel at all here or Rainbow...running low!
Found this one in the rain and checked out briefly the old museum.
Cheers and thanks for showing us this spot!

This weekend had been earmarked for some adventurous exploits in the Big Desert National Park with Jacko83, aiming to find a few relatively remote caches. Along the way we explored some of the smaller country towns, discovered interesting locations... and found a few caches !
We cached until 1am tonight, in wet and muddy conditions.
It certainly looked interesting, but in the darkness of winter we couldn't see much. At least the cache could be easily seen !
Thanks, nom234.
