Following the CITO event, I was dobbed in to climb a nearby high-terrain tree, and upon our way in/out, we stopped at this geocache. This was an interesting spot with a cool wreck find. Unfortunately, I had a very detailed search whilst I was walking towards the other cache, and then I was joined by others once again. We gave this wreck a very thorough search, and no luck with this cache. I'd be surprised if we missed this cache, but stranger things have happened, so will watch and see; Thanks anyway Cantcacheus2014 for the cache placement.----------Today, wrestling between Sunshine Coast and Crestmead plans, and it was the closer and half-day Brisbane south plan to Crestmead that turned into reality. The morning commenced with the [Crestmead CITO](https://coord.info/GCAHCQ9) clean-up event, and then after coffee, I joined a small group visiting a few target geocaches within the vicinity. After farewelling the group, I proceeded to visit Berrinba Wetland, where I completed the two aptly named Adventure Labs [Berrinba Wetlands Part 1](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/9611d1ab-35e7-4aaf-b271-dbd67111d8b3) and [Berrinba Wetland Part 2](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/b7665ffb-ef73-4051-9afc-b42d8b02a81a). The remainder of my morning was spent driving around the industrial area of Crestmead and Heritage Park performing a couple of small walks, before returning home for a late lunch. In the afternoon, I did need to pop out for a couple of errands, and a fortuitous newly published geocache had me jump out of the door to visit Windsor sooner than I had anticipated. A final smile to finish the year out.
An event to start the day then off to find some unloved caches with geofriends. We stopped off here after Frank and Buster but sadly no find today. Looks like the wasps have returned.TFTCache Cantcacheus2014
Thanks, I need a tetanus shot.
Jk, nice hide tho.
8.5/10, would find again.

Out this way so stopped in for a look.
An easy and not too far off the track cache to find.
Initially I couldn't see it but geobuddy was on the ball and we soon had our name in log. We replaced as found.

No wasps today and a new LGA for us.
I am surprised that this hasn’t been found for some time.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights.
Cantcacheus2014, I found Rusty Old Girl today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found what was left of the cache..Replaced cache with what we had and a new log in zip tie bag.. All good now.
Needed some exercise and wanted to go caching. Luckily this is a 2 for 1 deal. A bike riding hunt. Quickly spotted and signed. Certainly needs maintenance.
The bottom old the container is missing, the soggy contents was scattered around. Managed to get a signature on the log.
Thank you for hiding this geocache and keeping me entertained Cantcacheus2014

Skating around these paths this afternoon collecting the few in this series I didn’t get to when I was last out this way years ago.
Not part of the series but close by so I ducked over the road for this quick grab in the rusty ruins.

Saturday. It was a day of the Mrs, Mrs RIO and SP that is. With a welcome invite from Mrs RIO to look for some caches on the south side to help Us with the Detective Challenge, we headed off to grab some caches that had certain attributes. The name of the cache made sense to me now and the container was quickly spotted, log duly signed and replaced as found. This was our last cache for the day and this one was great because we discovered it had a ‘jewel attribute’ which we needed and we were also just across the road from the shops! Off for much needed food and drink as we’d been caching all day without anything to eat.
This was the 11th of 11 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Cantcacheus2014***, for showing us this place.

Having set up camp at the Tully Memorial Park (where free camping is allowed for 3 nights) we ventured out to find a few caches. We found a variety of hides and containers and the micros in the bush (especially the particularly creative ones) tested our perseverence. Thankyou Cantcacheus2014 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
1.30pm. It was obvious where it must be when we got within sight of GZ and we soon had it in hand.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

I was out today to pick up a few caches to help towards a challenge cache I am aiming for on an upcoming overseas trip. I was on the hunt to collect caches on their anniversary of placement, and today was the 4th anniversary of this one.
I parked in the street behind the police station and initially planned on bush bashing across to GZ. Thankfully I changed my mind and ended up finding a much easier access in to GZ. There the cache couldn't have been easier to find, with the 2 parts of the cache and its contents scattered around the area. Luckily everything was present and accounted for and, after signing the logbook and putting everything back together, the cache was replaced with some cover. TFTC

After a short search we uncovered Rusty's hiding spot. I wonder how many more years it will last? Thanks.
Parked the car and went for a walk to GZ. As I arrived at GZ I noticed Rusty. Looked around and soon found.TFTC
Out in the area today and thought I would stop and have a look for this one too. Searched everywhere and finally found it tucked away . SL then returned cache to its hide.
Found on 20 January 2018. TFTC, Cantcacheus2014.

Nice quick find here for us. Left some fairy dust and some other goodies. Thank you CCU14
Got a couple of hours to cache this afternoon, so with Nadine1989 we decide to try our luck around the Heritage Park Area.
The cache name was certainly a give -away and the sistema was a quick easy find.
Found at 3.30pm on 30th June 2016. TFTC.

We found the rusty old girl although RoddyC thought about it why it is a girl and not a boy. It was also time to release one TB.
Re-entry - Mobile phone didn't register - TFTC -a quick find on a beautiful day
The title of course is a great clue, this was a great one for the family. Black Flag 001 came up with the find while Mini Black Flag posed for a pic with it, lol. TFTC, signed and returned.
Just like me old and rusty, she sure will never turn over again. Quick grab and significant the log etc. TFTC
I was headed out for an early morning walk this morning and to see if I could grab a couple of unloved caches. This area seemed to be rife with them so it seemed a good place to start. I had eleven on my list to start with and planned to pick up any others that I came across.
However, I wasn't counting on a slew of "micro in the bush" style caches. With eight kilometres to cover on my planned loop and twenty or so caches, the time that I could spend on each one was limited. As a result, I had to made a few hard decisions to keep moving rather than spend a decent amount of time searching for some of the unloved caches.
In the end, I collected the two most unloved caches that instigated this trip and a few others along the way, had an enjoyable walk through a beautiful part of Logan that I had not seen before and now have good reasons for a repeat visit.
I was really starting to run out of time by the time I got to the rusty old girl but had to stop and sign the cache. I really love finding abandoned cars in the bush.

The day before I, Dr Hunting Rabbit, am meant to be leaving Australia and what do I spend my day doing? Geocaching with WTF21!!!
After a morning of caching with Crew153 and a quick lunch WTF21 and Dr Hunting Rabbit teamed up for one final afternoon of caching.
After finding the new caches we began on the more challenging Magnesium drive series. This was our first cache in the series. We parked next to the cop shop and followed the path to this one. Easily found the Rusty Old Girl and after a short search WTF21 had the cache in hand. Nice to begin with an easy one.

Out and about with The Hunting Rabbit this afternoon before he heads off back to Canada.
I was keen to try and clean out the area around Magnesium Drive as I had tried unsuccessfully on a couple of the tricky ones previously.
Starting at the Browns Plains Rd end ..an easy start this one with the hint.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:38pm. That took longer to find where to put the car than to find the cache. It is a rusty old girl too. The cache is in good condition. TFTC
TFTC. #361. We were very careful here but no sharp edges needed to be touched so all safe. Glad we found the path and did not bush bash.
On my roll in Browns Plains this was the southernmost point today. Approached from north and the GZ was very easy to access by bike.
Wasn't really sure if the goodies were in the rusted section or nearby so checked first the most exposed parts of the old girl, followed by a couple of potential spots next to it. Then suddenly: that must be a container! [^]
Business done, all good here. TFTC, Cantcacheus!

And a lovely old girl she would have been, shame to see these in the bush but guess it is a good cache hide. Easy find. TFTC
Knew what to look for with the title of the cache here! Made quick work here. TFTC Cantcacheus2014
TFTC was speaking to Anthony for the last week he was amazingly helpful and wrote a whole trail plan for me so I knew what order and when to not short cut otherwise will get lost.
Got to the first cache "Rusty Old Girl" and a trekking stick what is this doing here??????
Looks brand new and half a metre from cache..... VERY STRANGE. Left a note but added the color silly me contacted CO and asked him to investigate who the CORRECT owner is!
FOUND THE CACHE!!!!! Yayyyyyyyy first one of the day
If only they were all gonna be this easy.......
Took a photo of trekking stick and sent to CO, and hid the stick a bit better.
Off to more caches ...........was up to about number 5 when CO came and met us on the trail.
He told me he found the owner who was MAX and he would return it to him Yayyyyyyyy
And off we headed

I was cleaning up a few odd caches in the area that I have missed on previous visits and this was the last on the list.
I parked over the road and headed to the area with the last of the remaining daylight.
Luckily I was not looking for a nano at this location and I soon had the cache in hand.

This one ended up being the second last find for the morning. I was in the area a week or so ago and even though I had parked pretty much in front of it I some how totally missed it. Today I planed to rectify my mistake so I parked out front again and soon found the convenient track heading towards GZ.
Wow, there's not much left of the old girl. Less then half was probably dump here in the first place but there's even less now. It's definitely a ford but the model I'm not 100% sure on. I poked around a bit and noticed a few things. It was a column shift auto with a dash mounted hand brake and with whats left of the front suspension and the radiator support panel, I reckon it was an XC falcon. I had a quick lick of the rust and it seems it had 148,287k's on the clock and it was a brown wagon. Na just kidding.
I soon found what I was after and another name is now in the log.
Thanx again guys, I've been enjoying your work a lot lately.

A quick grab to Gunnie69 in the obvious place.
Found the cache while out with Gunnie69 tackling caches around the Crestmead area. The day started at Crestmead Park to allow Gunnie69 to grab the special icons in the park, before we moved west ands the trail around the Crestmead Industrial Estate, before finishing at the Berrinba Wetlands.
Thanks Cantcacheus2014 for the cache!

With this power trail in our sights, Ghostgums and I started with this one and worked clockwise heading south then around to the west and north again. [^]
We took a short stroll up the path to this one and the container came quickly to hand on arrival at GZ. Details in the log, we dropped it back and made tracks to the next.

A great day out caching with Couchmen. A few of the kids on board, and 19 finds for the day. Appologies for the late log, I have not been well lately, and lost my database of found caches. Slowly reconstructing what caches I found, this was one of them.

Blacklegend, some of his crew and I got together again today after a lull in our joint caching trips and boy it felt good!!!!
This area had a great circuit of new caches so it was our obvious choice.
We had spotted that this was located near the police station so we were hoping that it wasn't TOO close!!
Our fears were abated on our approach so we searched for the Old Girl.
What I had pictured and what we found were 2 different things, the poor old thing is withering away to a shadow!!!
BL spotted the cache first but let the kids go in for the kill!!
Thanks Cantcacheus TFTC SL TNLN

The Rusty Old Girl is right, Mrs Pedal power14 found this one again, good one TFTC.
With the 3 geobratz in toe scootering along tanks one was next on the list, as I wondered what the old girl was. Log signed and a look at the map shows to cross the dirty creek for the 3rd time to get back to the car. A nice easy cache tftc
