Logs
Needed a micro cache find today, so came down to Geelong with Rick, he's going on, I'll go back by train. This was much more difficult than I was expecting but the log is now signed.
Back in the game. New log provided, with the all important Monopoly clue repeated.
Found with some issues. Owner contacted. Replaced in a spot close by, hopefully in the right place.
Needs some attention. Possibly a small relocation, as this spot keeps getting muggled.
Nice, easy find. Logbook had come out of the container, but was still intact and signable, otherwise all is in good condition. TFTC
Checked in on this one. Reaffirmed its position, otherwise all in good order.
I found this cache today on my Mega Walk #16 - a 38,000 step walk firstly around Ballarat, then in the later afternoon around Geelong. After attending the CITO at Rippleside Park, I gathered some cache finds on the way back to North Geelong Station. Certainly not what I expected to find nor was it where I expected it to be. Thanks from D B-A
Picked this one up with ExplorerChuck after the nearby Leap Day event. Have driven past so many times so nice to now have a smilie. Thanks RikkiJayMudd for creating for us all to enjoy. All good here....................................................The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches, and earn the souvenir, before the tour is archived. Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Check out the 2023 geocaching lists [available here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/) to get a head start and find some of the great new caches. Nominations will open early 2024.
Recently remembered that we couldnt find this one so hopped in the car and off we go. Nice container with a very pleasing clue inside. Thank you for the cache.
When I found and logged this cache for the first time only recently, I was thrilled that it still contained the original log sheet with Monopoly clue. Such a shame that its gone missing. A new log has been added to the container, with the original clue written on it. Container has been moved slightly to where I believe it was originally tucked away.

A nice quick find after getting off the train in North Geelong.
Thanks for the Traditional Cache The Monopoly Guy

This one was truly beautiful to find, and see! In great condition, with much of the original log still intact, including clues and presentation. Excellent. With only a few more of the remaining Monopoly caches for me to find, it’s nice that one of them remains largely as originally released.
TFTC it was full of ants. I can still feel them crawling in me. Little house was out on the grass too. I put somewhere a little safer
Hi there, just looking at this one. Is it a multi, or are the way points listed where the actual cache is?
Hello Darth Briji thank you for the cache
A ripper of a cache. I love the hide.
This was one of many caches found on our way back home from Newcastle seeing our grand children.

Great hide… must have stared at it for ages before realising. Will come back soon with a pen.. doh
Well there is a new challenge souvenir out for this month and my caching buddy Gemma Sistema hit me up to see if we could have a fun day out and find a few caches to help us hopefully reach the target required.
Today was picked and after throwing a dart at the map Geelong was soon picked out and we then picked a place to meet up and here’s to a fun day out.
Time to find a few on the North side of town as it was the middle of the afternoon and it gets dark early.
After relocating the Geowagon I noticed this one on my map and it was another Monopoly cache and as they are very slowly disappearing I had to call in here to look for it.
Gemma has previously found it she left it to me to find and up the hill I went.
Thanks The Monopoly Guy TFTC.

Thanks for taking us here. Enjoying finding a few caches in the area and checking out the local street art
Having decided to stay in a motel nearby I recognised this as a rare opportunity to grab this one that I have traveled by so many times. tftc
A nice quick find and a lovely crafted cache… model of whatever we will build on our monopoly block.

Thank you to all who have found this cache and enjoyed the Geelong Monopoly Series. I really enjoyed creating this series and loved reading the logs of those who left one. Sadly, I don’t have the motivation to keep this series maintained anymore therefore I will be archiving it over time as they disappear.
Thank you once again to all those who have found and enjoyed this series
Cheers,
Chris

It was a cold and wintry afternoon in Geelong. We were heading back towards home when this one popped up right nearby. We had looked for this twelve months ago and we thought we would have a much better chance of finding it today. We managed to park almost at GZ and realised where we had made out mistake last time. We quickly made our way to GZ and found a nice sized thematic hide. The cache was in excellent condition and we quickly placed it back in its hiding spot. Thank you for this cache Dart Briji.
We got confused on our way to a different cache-but no problems. Went and looked for this one as we were passing by. Bit confused by the levels at first. After all a yellow smilies is always a bonus!
At this time of year we usually pack up and head off for 6 months, chasing the armer weather. After being stuck at home all last year and not enjoying the cold and wet weather all that much we are looking forward to getting away this year even more.
For a change we thought we might roll the dice and try spending some time in Victoria as we have not travelled here to much and know there is plenty to see. A short trip to Geelong previously led us to decide to return and spend more time. Hope the weather is kind!
We mentioned this to our good mate Rebel Acts and he decided he would join us for a few days. A great bonus, because as a true professional he has an unbelievable searching sense and is a puzzle solver extraordinaire. Our puzzle solving ability is slowly improving, but we still need to call on him regularly for assistance.
We even managed to catch up with Suscoe and Bushfire, local cachers of renown and lovely people.

A quick find and a great container at this location.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for hiding or placing this geocache at this location for us to find, for without those who hide there would be nothing for those who seek to find.

Out caching in the rain so luckily not many people out and about. I knew what I was looking for as I have done many of the monopoly series. GPS wasn't a fan of the bridge.
Thank you
Thank you
A trip to Geelong and now on my way home. Spiffy- always comments how he has found the caches near here so today I decided to add my name to the lists.
Fav for the well themed cammo
Thanks to The Monopoly Guy for the placement and fun.

After a few DNFs today, things were looking grim for my streak. In the end this was the one that finally pushed it over the line. Though I've found the Drumcondra monopoly I did this a while back when I was quite new to the monopoly series, and caching in general, so I didn't realise I could grab the clue, so I made sure I got the clue this time one to complete the dark blue part of the puzzle. Up, down, under, over? Worked out eventually. Wish coordinates could be 3D! A nice clever hiding place which had no troubles with once realised what level was looking for. Tftc
A not so successful trip to Geelong to look at an Adventure cache with Bettyboo3747.
Did not do it, but found a few others while we were there.
We were going past so we thought we would see who was home.
Nice cache container.
Thanks, Robmc.

#16368. Down in Melbourne for a few days and yesterday we noticed a new Adventure Lab Cache that started in Geelong. That sounded like a great idea and turned out to be a great disappointment. A long trip for nought really. Fortunately we managed to gather up 5 caches to make the trip a little bit more worthwhile.
Found on our way back to do the new Virtual after we had actually been leaving town. Noted the clue but not sure we will ever actually finish this series.
Thanks Darth Briji

After a nearby DNF I quickly stopped here in order to keep the find streak alive. A but of a slippery ascent in the conditions but a quick find which was just what I needed.
Thanks The Monopoly Guy for placing this Small Traditional - this is find 1123 for BFMC

This is the final day of my mini-vacation to Geelong. I thought that I would try to select random caches along the width and breadth of the area.

Down here, staying in the area for a family 80th birthday. I was up early this morning which gave me the perfect opportunity to grab a few caches more around the centre of Geelong, before there were too many muggles about. While it was very cool to start with, it soon turned into a lovely morning.
This was the last for the morning. Parked nearby, and as there was no muggles about, I made my way to GZ and was able to make the quick find. Would feel very exposed, during the day.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks Darth Briji for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

As Jimbo said, this one was found in the open, but I added some paper and placed it where I imagine it was meant to be. Another great construction of the outer cache; it just needs its inner container replaced.
Thanks The Monopoly Guy. I will contact you.
