As reported, this cache has gone AWOL, along with its original train build. This is a pity, as this was one of the few remaining Geelong Monopoly caches still intact since the original launch.
Its been stolen. The wire is still there. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Again
I was on my way home to prepare for the COTY awards but not before grabbing one last cache. This series is slowly disappearing so a great chance to nab this one while it is still around. Thanks RikkiJayMudd for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. TFTC! 24 October 2023 10:06:08 pm 6273Thanks a quick find one the way home from Geelong.
Cache checked. All good. Tried to find a nicer spot for it, but ultimately realised that Astrocat123 had made a good choice.

Thank for such a cool cache! The only problem was that we couldn’t get the log out to sign it.
I can really appreciate the effort that’s gone into setting up the different cache containers for this series. I believe this is my last one! Though there was one I’m yet to try and find after a spate of DNF’s.
Well done to DarthBriji on your comprehensive efforts here. They are still popular targets, but I can certainly understand how upkeep would amount to a lot.

Hello Darth Briji thank you for the cache
Another great cache I love the theme.
This was one of many caches found on our way back home from Newcastle seeing our grand children.

I was about to call it after searching the wrong places when some bloke turns up asking if we were looking for a geocache. Turned out to be Snap Happy and we had a quick chat.
Cache was found, logged and returned. I believe I also took away something I shouldn’t have…. Still think there is a bit in my finger.
Thanks for the cache and good to meet you Snap Happy!

Well there is a new challenge souvenir out for this month and my caching buddy Gemma Sistema hit me up to see if we could have a fun day out and find a few caches to help us hopefully reach the target required.
Today was picked and after throwing a dart at the map Geelong was soon picked out and we then picked a place to meet up and here’s to a fun day out.
Time to find a few on the North side of town as it was the middle of the afternoon and it gets dark early.
Another one of the Geelong Monopoly caches found and I wonder how many more I will find on each trip down before they all disappear off the map.
Thanks The Monopoly Guy TFTC.

Found on a caching run in G town with Posums. I’ve these ones. Surely I must’ve found them all by now?! Ha ha. Thanks for the cache

A roll of the dice saw the train stopping here on the game board.
Tickets stamped.
Off to the next stop.

Off the boat from Tassie, grabbing breakfast, then on the road again.
Decided to stop and nail a cache in an LGA not done before.
This was a cute cache in the end (after wandering around for a bit to find it).
Cache is in good condition.

E of iTEEM had a wedding in Sorrento today, so I dropped him in Geelong to catch a bus to the ferry terminal at Queenscliff before work.
A quick stop here to search for this one, and find it I did, but on the ground. After signing the log, I placed the nicely themed container in a likely fashion given the attachment.
A few muggles about, but I was able to reset the cache without looking too suspicious.

**A quick cache run to Geelong**
Out and about making the most of the sunshine on a sunny but cool winters day.
Grabbed a coffee nearby and then headed off to grab a couple of caches and some photos. Had the place pretty much to myself today. Cache was found quickly with good co-ords. A bit prickly reaching in for this one but found the novel, appropriately themed container.
Thanks for the cache Darth Briji and for series. Appreciate your efforts.

**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.

BOOM!!! TFTC #240!!! Wrapped with that total! It's taken me 3 years but finally I have the opportunity to get out fairly regularly. Was a relatively quick find, another piece of caching history from the Geelong Monopoly series... Many thanks for the hide and cache and your long time efforts and service to the caching community with this series... Did not sign log as Law Enforcement were getting curious so will return to stamp my name another time...

Low muggle area, very busy traffic so had to be careful of that. Thanks for the cache
Thank you to all who have found this cache and enjoyed the Geelong Monopoly Series. I really enjoyed creating this series and loved reading the logs of those who left one. Sadly, I don’t have the motivation to keep this series maintained anymore therefore I will be archiving it over time as they disappear.
Thank you once again to all those who have found and enjoyed this series
Cheers,

It was a cold and wintry afternoon in Geelong. We realised that we had parked within meters of this cache when we were doing the nearby Adventure Lab. We packed the geodogs into the car and then set about searching. When you are looking, be careful of your eyes as there is some boxthorn quite near GZ. There is also evidence that people can be disgusting pigs as there is rubbish all over the place. We did a bit of rubbish removal while looking for the cache. We found the cache; we love the thematic hides in tis series. The cache was in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, Darth Briji
Another one we completed after completing the Adventure Lab nearby. Took a while to find it, but it shouldn't have!
At this time of year we usually pack up and head off for 6 months, chasing the armer weather. After being stuck at home all last year and not enjoying the cold and wet weather all that much we are looking forward to getting away this year even more.
For a change we thought we might roll the dice and try spending some time in Victoria as we have not travelled here to much and know there is plenty to see. A short trip to Geelong previously led us to decide to return and spend more time. Hope the weather is kind!
We mentioned this to our good mate Rebel Acts and he decided he would join us for a few days. A great bonus, because as a true professional he has an unbelievable searching sense and is a puzzle solver extraordinaire. Our puzzle solving ability is slowly improving, but we still need to call on him regularly for assistance.
We even managed to catch up with Suscoe and Bushfire, local cachers of renown and lovely people.

We snavelled a park nearby and walked our way over to this one. We were throwing around ideas on where it could be hidden, we were all wrong. Tftc

Another simple, but prickly find and another great container in keeping with the theme.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for hiding or placing this geocache at this location for us to find, for without those who hide there would be nothing for those who seek to find.

Nice and easy find! I think there has been some pruning in the area so I could spot the cache from the path. Thank you
Found by Mary and David, with GeoJo, at 16:45. A lovely afternoon, and after doing some nearby Adventure Labs, we paused for this find on our way back to the car park. A great way to finish the day. Our thanks to Darth Briji.
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.

A slight detour on the way home from Geelong to collect a clue for the souvenir and the series. It was a relatively quick find and a well shaped container. tftc
On my way home from a weekend away. Pulled up almost next to this one, but for some reason the little bugger eluded me, at least for a little bit. Eventually found this well designed cache. Nice container! Tftc
Stay in Geelong for the weekend. Day 2. Accompanied with theashleys7 for caching day to do the Monopoly series. Found it. Thanks The Monopoly Guy for bringing us here
Very clever thanks had the pleasure of a Geelong Melbourne bound train go past as well
Took a while to find due toa GPS problem with my phone, which eventually sorted itself out. Had to look a little higher than expected. Forgot a pen, so didn't sign.

Down here, staying in the area for a family 80th birthday. I was up early this morning which gave me the perfect opportunity to grab a few caches more around the centre of Geelong, before there were too many muggles about. While it was very cool to start with, it soon turned into a lovely morning.
Another quick find made here, with no muggles about, so had a free carpark and no muggles about.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks Darth Briji for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Didn't take too long to find this one. We liked the camouflage, which looks a bit worse for wear, but the cache itself was in good condition.

I was here early in the morning to escape muggles attention. Still the lights are bright and there is a lot of traffic going past which ups the anxiety a little. The container was empty so I added a new sheet and signed. TFTC and the series.

Yup. Gone. Just gonna have to sit tight until the GEO-insurance comes through.
All these claims... my premiums are gonna skyrocket this year!
All these claims... my premiums are gonna skyrocket this year!
Didnt find this one. But think it may be due to extensive removal of vegetation including the decimating of a peppercorn tree around gz. Works due to construction of a much wider footpath in this area. Would suggest CO check to see if this needs to be disabled until works are finished and a new cache and location can be organised.

Sound like the home wreckers are back... will eventually check up on when in the area again
I snagged a park right near GZ. Love the cache camo. Thanks Darth Briji, great series.

New this cache was hiding where it was just had to wait for less cars around. TFTC
Hot and horribly windy, not nice at all at the tracks, but a cache to be found so it had to be done
