Not as easy to get to as it used to be for sure. A wall of blackberries is greating you from the rest stop. But one can walk around without much hassle (around the road side) and get to the back of the tree Quick find at GZ, but a bit unprotected or just getting old the container was brittle and in fact the front is brocken (see picture). TodayAs family breakfast took place earlier today the opportunity to make it to the Lake Gorge event was suddenly an option. Especially as I had thought of cleanign out collector when I recently looked on the map, there was plenty to do between home and Collector. In fact I ended up caching all the way to the 6pm event and still had plenty left to do. After the city I went to the wineries for some new and older caches and ALs, then a Collector cleanout, followed by lake gorge lookout and then following the old highway for a while, before it was time to cut it short and drive via a quick charge at Majura Maccas to the evening event. Thank you Rapidlywild for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
Outnabout for some solo caching after Canberras Capital Geobash. Found in a break in the weather on my trip homeward. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
On our way home from the Mega event in Canberra. We didn't want the fun to end, so we decided to collect some caches on our way home. We decided, possibly against better judgement, to collect this one. We arrived, parked, and started our journey to the cache. It was around this time that the looming blackberries started to be problematic. The blackberries clawed at our clothes and at times refused to let go. We persevered and forced our way forward until, at last, we arrived at GZ. We retrieved the cache, signed the log, and replaced everything as found. We then forced our way back through the spiky blackberries until we were safe and sound in the car.TFTC
Today was another day, so I approached from the other side and avoided the worst of the thistles, and found the cache quickly. Thanks for the cache Rapidlywild
A quick find after a straightforward walk to GZ via the fence line. This avoided the thistles and blackberries. If you go around the top which is the obvious way then you will come across the wall of spiky things. TFTC RapidlyWild.
Yeh, nah. Got with 15 metered and spied the 5ft high, dense, dry, spiky thistles and decided that I’d leave this one for another day.
Found It!
After climbing over the thistles and blackberries, I got to the tree and found the cache on the ground. I put it back in the tree after signing it, not sure if it's the right spot or not.

We are travelling down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Canberra for a 6 day (5 night) holiday, staying in a park cabin at Alivio Tourist Park in O'Connor, and planning to explore the areas around Lake Burley Griffin, old & new Parliament House’s, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Carillion, Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and areas around Canberra Airport and maybe out around the Kowen Forest if time permits. Have solved most of the CBR Wherigo Puzzle series and numerous other Mystery/Puzzle caches, so will hopefully get to some of those, and will do some of the Adventure Labs, Virtuals, and EarthCaches in the areas we visit. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.
Today we are on our way back to Sydney, but still managed to find some caches along the way. Started the day with some challenge caches and a Virtual cache at North Watson, then collected some of the CBR geo-art Wherigos out toward Majura and an EarthCache plus some Adventure Lab stages at Lake George. We then stopped off at Collector for an Adventure Lab (plus AL Bonus) and some Traditional caches. This was the 48th of 50 finds for the day (day 6), and 201st find of the holiday.
After a busy hour or so of caching around Collector we needed to get back to Sydney ASAP, but briefly stopped here at the Percival Gratwick VC Memorial Rest Area for a couple more caches, and this was the first of the two we came to. Made our way through the spikey weeds to GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Rapidlywild.

Homebound after spending a week fishing Tangtangra for trout then Bermagui for flathead. Not a lot of fish caught on this trip due to bad weather, made a lot more time for caching. Heading home via Batemans bay then onto the Kings Hwy to end up on the Hume, hoping the flooding doesn't affect to much of my route. Lots of caches targeted along the way.
Flooding did indeed affect my route. Ended up being diverted towards Goulburn. Grabbed this one on the way past.

So, I just had a steroid injection in my heel to sort out the constant pain and stiffness, I was warned 'do not walk on it'. Aquilus1 had just had her 4th covid shot the day before, could not move her arm at all and was in constant pain.
It was raining.
Therefore, we should embark on a caching trip, and thats what we did.
We meandered around the fedral highway to Mittagong before diverting to Kiama in search of a fast car charger that was actually working. Did lots of labs, multiple virtuals and the odd trad we were already driving past.
On the way back really found out how battery draining driving up the escarpment was.....but there was no stress really....still had 2% battery when I plugged in at Sutton Forest. All and all a great little loop.

Out with GreyHams for a weekend of a few caches... the plan was Bowral but we modified along the way and ended up in Woolongong! Worked out well and a number of AL's, Virtuals, Earthcaches and oldies found along the way. Great weather at the coast, scenery was great too and the food from Fishnets take away the very best! Thanks for your cache that helped guide us through the area!
Found okay here today.

The thistles and webs were a bit off-putting but it wasn’t much of a stretch once I got to the GZ. TFTH
A quick look around but too many thigh high thistles and spiders webs at all corners deterred me from a full search.
Heading north today and collected a few caches along the way. All caches found were in good condition. With the cache in hand we signed the log before replacing it as found. Thanks for the cache Rapidlywild and for the ongoing maintenance DARKSIDEDAN.

We first looked for this cache back in 2017 but did not have any success. We later found out that the cache was missing. As we passed through today, we stopped again to look for this cache. It was a very easy find as the container was on the ground and in the open. The only problem was that there were chest high dry thistles between us and the cache which took some negotiating. We finally got there, signed the log and placed the cache back in the tree, hopefully at the correct location. Thanks Rapidywild for the cache..
Percival Gratwick VC Memorial Rest Area was transferred from Rapidlywild to user DARKSIDEDAN
Quick find on this one although a bit prickly getting to GZ. No issues locating the cache, still in good condition since being replaced.
Being I no longer own this series, transferred across to DSD, its time I log a find. I really enjoyed researching the VC's all associated with this series of caches. Thanks for keeping the series alive DSD.
Grabbed the cache nice and quickly, does appear to be some recent damage to the tree. Good stop to stretch your legs
Had my eyes to the heavens but it was out in the open on the ground! Found a place to sign the log which is all over the place and replaced the log as far as I could according to the hint. TFTC
Quick find as container was open on the ground, full of water.. stamped my mark on the log and put the cache back together. TFTc
Found it. Cache needs maintenance, log needs replacing and container is damaged.

My fourth find during my trip between Canberra and Sydney this afternoon. Enjoying getting out and stretching the legs. Good to see some green on the ground after the recent rain. The rain also means that this log is quite damp. I had it in the sun for a few mins in an attempt to dry it out a bit but not sure it helped much, sorry!
Not the most restful rest stop with traffic whizzing by seemingly inches away. But very glad of some liquid refreshment on such a hot day. Left the cache to Alwyn who maybe did not enjoy it all that much. Thanks Rapidlywild.
Becon sat in the shade enjoying a nice cuppa while I strolled off the find the cache. I spotted it easily enough but I am vertically challenged and far too old to be climbing trees. I managed to get into position to retrieve it and signed the log. All good. But now there was the challenge of getting the thing back. I managed to wedge myself in the tree and at full stretch reattached the cache. And then realised the log was on the ground. I am sure the day just got 10 degrees warmer. Got the log and got back in position and almost had it when I dropped the lot. I am glad there was no one nearby to hear the language. Down again, repack the cache and finally I managed to get everything in the right place. Enough caching for today - I want somewhere cool to be. Thanks for the challenge Rapidlywild.
Easy little park and grab. The cache is in good condition, signed and replaced. TFTC
Parked in the Rest Area and took the short stroll to GZ where I managed to extract the cache and the log. All in good condition and TFTC Rapidlywild
Found with Captain Tomato as we headed across to Goulburn. Good spot to pull over safely.
Cache #110 for TSthreeBees. Left a travel bug TJ continue its journey. Thanks Canberra for our WaterPolo competition and Floriade
Second stop on the way back to Sydney.
It was really cold here and just beginning to rain so it was lucky it was a fairly quick stop. The tree cover at GZ protected me from the elements and I looked around. Found it, hmmm that's not a T1.5, well not for me.
To get the cache I did something I haven't done in years and years - all good! Log signed, cache returned and no injuries, and not wet either!

This was one noisy rest stop as it's soooo close to the road. took a short walk to the cache and found a rare application of a very familiar cache container. Thanks Rapidlywild.
Nice stop to stretch the legs and to add another smiley face. Found with CastleKay on our way to Sydney. Cool hide, favorite point from us, TFTC!
This was find #5 as we cached our way from Canberra to Wollongong for the big event happening there this weekend.
Saw this one on approach which made it an easy find.

Yaaaay - a Geocaching day
After a nice sleep in, I headed off to the Mad Hatters Tea Party Flash Mob, then when that finished, I jumped in Darksidedan's car, with BlueIris as well, and we found a few caches as we drove out to the CITO, half way to Goulburn (where I fished a dozen or more VB cans out of some box thorn bushes and ended up looking like a mad zombie, with bleeding scratches on my arms and shredded disposable gloves
Then we headed back to CBR (signing the log of the Multi on the way out, because someone else had it out and was signing it is we drove past and when I had been dropped off at my car, I then headed off to a BBQ ... where the guests sort of ended up in 2 groups - a small group of Muggles, and a larger group of Geocachers - lol
TFTC - Nice to turn a sad face into a
I dashed up to make the find, because I was feeling more energetic I guess - lol
When I saw where it was I was thinking I must have not actually looked there last time ... but now that I have read the logs from back then, and realise it had gone missing and then been replaced after I had looked for it, I am relieved to know that I am not quite that ditzy, and I probably would have found it, had it actually been there - lol

This was the last stop for bikerbuddy & me on our drive home, but one that gave us two finds. We both got mixed up on our GPSs at this one, and both thought we were navigating to the cache at the other end. When the numbers started getting larger & larger on our screens, we knew we had selected the wrong cache! Quick change and we pulled up the correct cache, then a quick find.

Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event .
As the Folk Festival is going to be held at the EPIC we all had to move camp, we are now back at Gundaroo.
After setting up camp, we realise there are now 6 geocaching teams here.
Decided to head towards Collector & then down the highway back home again. Great views from the ridge line & then it was all busy motorway. Stopped at a number of VC rest areas to cache, good to see these heroes remembered.
A few other road side stops to collect a few caches also.
Picked up a TB from here.
Thanks for placing this cache Rapidlywild

Ticking off some PnGs while heading home from a SES Comp at Jindabyne that will save time and temptation en-route to the mega at Easter. Dodged the plague of crickets on approach to GZ then took a few minutes re-evaluating my surroundings to spot the cache. Familiar container placed slightly different than I’d been encountering all weekend… or actually in several years of caching.
Nice hide and good size as well .
Left some TB cards .
