Heading into the city this afternoon I had a few hours spare so opted to do a few caches around where I was spending the night. Parked centrally and did a loop walk around the streets.
I loved the story with this one but thats where my love finished. I had a poke around at some likely spots and 2 separate ocassions but came up with nothing.
Maybe next time.

Took a slight diversion from my usual route home from work today, after a morning shift, to pick up a few caches around Rushcutters Bay and Double Bay, in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
No luck for me with this one today. Found a nice hidey hole right at the posted coords, but alas it was an empty cavity. Hopefully I'm just suffering from "cache blindness", and will have another go next time I'm passing by. TFTH anyway bonaccordians.

Christmas Day found us lucky enough to stop by the niece's yacht at Rose Bay. But first, a geocache! Walked over here anspd poked around until a neighbour poked his head over the fence above to ask what we were doing. Being Christmas we just confessed to everything. Cranky old man didn't really like our story and told us it was "a strange thing to do on Christmas Day". Whatever!!!! But we came up empty-handed. Found a very likely but empty hiding place . Liked the story of the old days. Cheers... Gaztek
What lovely childhood memories. The park nearby was full with school children and I wondered if any of them had walked the pipe. It was high tide today so no chance to even get onto the beach, although I'm too old to be thinking about pipe walking. The log is getting a bit mushy although I was able to dry it out a bit to write on it before replacing in its hiding place. TFTC bonaccordians.
Geodog and geokid enjoyed the hunt for this cache, but the container itself was spotted from far away, it looks as if it had been muggled and got wet before drying off again.
Still easily found and soon replaced trying to make it a little less visible. Lovely spot! TFTC

This is a cool spot. The cache needs a little maintenance ie new log or more waterproof container which I didnt have on my morning stroll. Took the tb such as it was and will try to fix that instead. Pipe not exposed quite enough for me to have a crack at walking along it . Tftc
Windy cold day after a top of 32degs just 3 days ago. Easy find but log was wet so couldn't sign. TFTC.
It took me a while to locate the pipe, but got there in the end. That looks like a lot of fun, I might try it some time. It didn't take too long to discover the cache after a quick scan. Dropped a TB. TFTC
What a great reason for placing a cache. To be honest I must have been blind and didn't notice the pipe. But... I did do the stairs as suggested. Gosh. They are EXHAUSTING! Thanks for the excuse to go explore!
My first Aussie find. Loved the back story. A bygone era methinks! Beautiful day too!
Met JordsAu and zo zo for lunchin chatswood. Then JordsAu and myself decided to do some caching in the east. A cold Thursday but a quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Like 'The Lost Boy' we loved the back story on this cache. Every now and then you come across a cache that tells a story about a particular place and time and this one does just that. It made us all marvel that any ten year old would consider such a feat of bravery!! Such a carefree childhood you must have had. Geohusband says you definitely deserve another favourite point here as anyone who braved the pipe on the way home from school certainly deserves it. He said he would have taken the stairs everytime!! After signing the log here we decided to take a look and brave the stairs. What a great story this is. Thanks for placing. Fav point added.
Found with Alpha Delta Indigo after attending the Climate Fizza Rally at Steyne Park, in Double Bay, in the morning. Being a concerned global citizen and passion for environmental sustainability, we felt this was an important event to attend considering the importance of the upcoming Federal election. When the rally was over, we went for a walk to the water's edge to find 'Walk the Pipe Home'. Alpha Delta Indigo had previously found this one, and she stood from afar and watched while I made the find. It was approaching lunchtime, so we decided to grab a bite to eat down the road in Double Bay before attempting a couple more caches. After satisfying our hunger, we drove over to Trumper Park to tackle 'The Duck Pond'. What a lovely hidden oasis! There was a man racing his remote controlled boat on the pond and some young families playing nearby. Sadly for us, however, we could not find the cache and had to concede by logging a Did Not Find. We moved on to 'Trumper Park Oval' and, fortunately for us, we were able to make a successful find here. Signed Log, Took Nothing Left Nothing. Thanks For The Caches to the respective Cache Owners for their hides.
For today I wanted to visit some caches. After studying the GC map I decided to go to Edgecliff and Darling point.
As it was a Sunday and the weather was nice I expected I would not be able to search for all the caches I wanted to visit. Because at some places I expected to many muggles.
I left my apartment just before 12am to cache the train from Martin place to Edgecliff.
Because I finished my search earlier then expected and with less founds than I hoped for I decided to extent my search.
At the end of the day I had found 9 caches. 2 caches I could not find. And 4 or 5 I had to skip due to muggles.
My gps pointed me in the correct direction but I smuggler was watching me so I had to wait to make my move until he had lost his interest in me. I decided to take some pictures and after a few minutes I was able to retrieve the cache container.
Thanks for this one.

The iPhone was jumping around so I had to poke all over GZ. I eventually found it (awesome camo and hide). Sat with my back to the sun and enjoyed it in the winter chill. Nice pipe but have it a miss. TFTC
Driving and parking in this part of Sydney is tricky. Usually when I'm in this area I'm running through and that's only once a year.
Managed to find somewhere to leave the geomobile and walked down some rugged steps to Ocean Street then around to GZ. I could see the likely hide as I approached.
I checked the pipe, yes that's something I would have tried when I was a kid! Looks like great fun.
There was a muggle standing on the balcony directly in line with the hide so I pretended to take some photos and had a bit of a chat with her, then moved in for the kill.
SL and left a TB.
Replaced the cache and removed the rubbish that had been stashed with it. Maybe someone thought the cache was rubbish too.

In the area today and was waiting for the ferry. Looked at this one and went for it. Got to gz and a guy was using the pipe walk. I stood and watched hoping that I didn't have to do the same. While I stood there I turned around and there was the cache tftc
nice quick find, the pipe trip, sounds like something i would of done in my youth as well.

What a lovely location for a cache. Easy find on a beautiful autumn morning. I didn't walk the pipes!! Thanks
No worries here, a nice quick find while on my way to Point Darling to catch the Ferry. TFTC
Out for a day of caching in the area. Where my dad use to deliver coal and coke. Many years ago. I was having a history lesson as we drove around the area. This was a pretty quick find. With Geodad in toe. TFTC.
I was walking around Sydney and searching some caches.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland

Lovely sunny day, gently leaping waves - I could just see young kids daringly walking the pipe. Thanks for bringing me here to this story. Cache in good order.
A nice stroll and a very easy harvest when ms Kwyijbo pointed and mouthed the words "there it is". Grabbed the pig tb.
Our nominated cache for the day. It is in good order. Visited the TB but left it for the next person who may be better equipped help achieve its goal.
We enjoyed your story, bonaccordians, but today you would need some secateurs to be able to walk the pipe - so covered in spots with bushes growing over the walls obscuring the view ov the pipe beyond the first 20 or so meters. But we did do the Marathon steps - on the way down and n the way back. Phew! I bet we were not a nimble as you as a youth - I touch 70 years in three weeks time!
And yes, EVERYTHING is locked, padlocked, guarded these days. But we did enjoy a stiff easterly breeze today albeit a bit on the muggy side. And with Artificial Time in operation we made it back for a nice cup of coffee to watch the last of the sailing craft on the harbour before the final setting of the sun.
I have attached a photo of some magnificent tress we saw on Etham Avenue on our walk down to the waters level today. What beautiful specimens!
Found at 7.00pm on 18th December 2015. TFTC.

My second geocache.
Found with a couple of friends after Sailing, because the cache wasn't that far away from our clubhouse.
Great hiding spot, interesting backstory, signed log with pen. TFTC!

I've been living in Sydney for a few months now, but aside from lunchtime caching walks in the CBD, I haven't been out and about too much. With the wife overseas for a few weeks, I thought I'd take the opportunity to visit some caching hotspots along my trainline and see a bit more of the city in the process.
This area is beautiful - once I got to GZ I'm glad I resisted my first impulse and used common sense instead - not sure my shoes would have been up to it. Thanks for placing the cache!

Had a couple of hours to kill this afternoon so went and found a few caches including this one. Nice spot, thanks.

Quick drive bye this early morning. Walked straight towards GZ and had cache quick in hand. Enjoyed the warm in the warm winter sun, Left TB from Iran and grabbed TB to bring it to Iran, TFTC
How exciting. 2TB's to choose from and somewhere appropriate to leave the purple octopus.
I walked the pipe, found the cache, SL, dropped off the "Bushies 2 Bells" TB. TFTC bonaccordians
While my Geosn MaxAdventurer had some fun "Walking the pipe" I used the coords plus clue to make a quick find.
Found a lucky parking spot very close by to come look for this cache on this lovely sunny sunday :) Had a look at the pipe but decided against walking along it today! My boyfriend made the find, and I remembered to sign his caching name too this time (unlike one earlier today >_<). TFTC BC! Liked reading the back story, and learning about the characters mentioned in the hint when I got home ;p
A day off between courses and I chose to go for a ride to the South Head. Collecting caches along the way. This one took me longer than it should have. I kept on following the gps rather than my head. I looked at the hide a few times before i got the cache.
No way would I walk that pipe--I must have been here at high tide because waves were lapping over the pipe even though it's a relatively calm day.
I really liked the hint and yes, I knew what to make of it. Too much silly classical education I guess. The cover had slipped off the cache a little but I bundled it neatly back together I hope and it's pretty well hidden with that camo on. TFTC!

Came by to burn off some energy in the park. There were people enjoying some interesting smelling things by the water; I had a brief look around, but didn't want to arouse too much suspicion, so will come back another day.
Finally removing my previous DNF and replacing it with a found it log.
Down for the JJ Giltinan World 18 footer Championships (as a spectator!) Easy find on a lovely Sydney day, thanks.

Dont get the hint yet, will hav 2 google that later but i did get the cache. Sensor lights gav me a jump, i thort we were busted. Thankfully noone was there.
Great find on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Excellent help from g.nancy, g.pratt and oliholmes. Wet feet unnecessary
Very tempting to walk the pipe just for the fun of it. Maybe if I have a waterproof case to protect my phone I would have given it a go. Needs good balance and be ready to get wet.
Not a difficult find once we came back from walking the pipe. We were amused to hear from Mandalf's English teacher friend what the clue meant. TFTC, lovely spot!
Found it! But it was empty and there was no pen left in it not sure if new location or there is two?
Hill tribe + 1 over and out

Another good one on a fabulous day for caching. TFTC TNLN P. S. Did not walk the pipe!
