Didnt find anything remotely cache like. Has been spraying so concrete post is exposed.
If its like #1, i couldnt find it despite extensive gardening to the smirks of passerby's
Heading north to Taranaki, rattll and I took a detour to complete the Lockwood Power Trail. We also ducked down here to complete the Hoihere Rd trio. After seeing where #1 was hidden, this one was a quick find. All good inside the container. Tftc!
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. As I meander my way home from Wanganui to Wellington, via the outskirts of Feilding and Palmy, I found a bunch of Geocaches, and this was one of them. This cache was found safe and well, exactly where expected.---Thanks to Popmac for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
Out and about with Flowerydaze on a nice sunny Sunday. Primarily to do the Lockwood Power Trail but as we were so close to many others, they were collected as well. 100% strike rate for the day with only one (nearly) DNF which we had to return to after finding a near neighbour which gave us an additional clue. TFTC Popmac
On a road trip with Talla64 on a lovely sunny day. Quite windy here in the Manawatu compared with the calmer conditions we left behind in Kapiti, but not too bad. We had a target of 21 caches in this area and found most with relative ease. Thank you Popmac for setting up the caches for everyone to find.
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.We had had a big day out today heading up to Apiti and then back down through Pohangina and then back to our accommodation in Himatangi. By now it was quite late and the rest of the crew had over 100 caches for the day but we had previously found a few that they found today so they agreed to just a few more so we could get over the 100 for the day too. We had been in this road twice the day before, being lucky enough to get a FTF in the series, so we had an idea of the terrain etc. This was a nice quick find by torchlight.
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Day 3 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #3 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend. We had good torches with us so this one didn't take us too long. Thanks for the cache

I struggled to get the lid off this, but the go ahead from the CO, I can log this as a find, tftc Popmac
Hadn’t done much today and needed to get out, so we decided to head out around Longburn just as the rain stopped, that meant the grass was fresh and made our shoes quite soggy.
We ended up finding 12 caches with 100% find rate!
I wrote in the log and placed the cache back as found. TFTCSL, Thanks Popmac for this Traditional cache and keeping the game rolling. We are now one step closer to our next milestone of 600 finds.

No joy from us today!

One of 20 caches located today (not including an Ad Lab) on a “caching expedition” between Foxton and Palmerston North, just the geohound and me. Took a brief moment to spot this one. Unfortunately only the top half is there. I tried to find the bottom part in the grass but wasn’t able to. The log has gone with the bottom half, therefore I couldn’t sign it but I did take a photo as evidence of my ‘find’. #5214. TFTC.
Arhh found this one. Will go back for number one another day as couldn’t locate it today
Junior a bit confused between concrete and wooden posts. No Junior get away from the puddle. The post we want is at the other end of the gate! Tftc.
Had a couple of hours of daylight after work to collect some caches. Since moving to Palmerston North for a few months I thought I would work on our streak. Not difficult as our longest streak was 25 days.
Came out here to look for 6 Popmac caches having noticed that some maintenance had been done on a couple of them. Managed to find 5 and had to abandon the last one as an inquisitive farmer turned up. Enjoyed the variety of hide and most didn’t take too long to find. Nice new log here. Thanks Popmac for the smiley.

Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path
We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss. DNF for us here.
While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

Had a good poke around for ages, unfortunately not there for us today. Thanks anyway, hopefully will be back at some other time. Argh!!
Continuing down Hoihere Road to my Rural Delivery Run. Straight forward find that didn't take long, but longer than the other two. *Now I see where all the bags of flour went at the start of lock-down *

Taking the opportunity on this lovely day to explore some of the caches around the Manawatu that I never got around to grabbing when I lived here!
Seventh find for the day - once the correct GZ was located the cache was quickly in hand, and after the two previous soaked logbooks, it was nice to see a dry one for a change. TFTC!

quick find while out on a Dot-Day dash with the sprogs in tow.
Easily located the container, and soon had the logbook in hand.
Thanks for helping me tick off another Dot-Day

Day #1 of our four day caching trip to Palmerston North. As it's the first time back in several years, there are heaps of new caches to find
After attending this mornings event, and checking into our accommodation, we decided to head out west to the cache dense area of various trails. This afternoon it was all about the numbers. TFTC.

Up for the Mega for the week, headed up the coast for a couple of days on family stuff, but did get few caches in for the day. many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
13th of the day and the road was very quiet which made parking and grabbing easy. TFTC.
Wonderful little series down this road. Nice straight forward find, all in great order here

I'm in Palmerston North with one of my sons this week until Sunday. He is swimming in the Manawatu Winter Swimming Champs at Freyberg Pool. There is a 3 and a half hour break between the morning session and the afternoon session. All we have planned is Subway for lunch and an hour looking for geocaches.
The cache is in pretty good condition. A little bit damp but not too bad. I let my son out to find this one, while I sat in the car talking to my wife on the mobile phone. It didn't take him long to find it even without a device to help him.
We'll be doing a few of your caches in this area from Thursday to Sunday, but may not be able to log them as quickly as I normally would.
Thank you

Today my son and I were due to attend an event in Palmerston North, so had decided to make a day of it and try to round up a few of the more out-of-the-way (for us) caches in the district.
So whilst I have driven nearby many times, the timing has never quite been right to make the effort to go a little out of my way to stop and grab it, but with the Planetary Pursuits Souvenir series going on, then it seemed the right time was now!
This was a very straightforward find, as the co-ords and Hint were spot on. The log was signed as "T & T" to represent myself and my son "ThatWeirdGuy04", and then replaced exactly as found before heading off to the next one.
Thanks for your efforts in placing and maintaining your caches, and for bringing us to areas we wouldn't otherwise get to explore.

Found today with TwigNZ while heading into Palmy to attend an Easter Event, TFTC.
Nice mini-series, thanks. Found today with Jacob and Alex (both aged 9) who had a fun day out.
Nice hide here ...cache all good signed and returned...the mountain range looks fantastic today...thanks Popmac
Picked the right post but then almost missed seeing the cache as I was looking at the critter trail instead. Thanks for the adventure. Here from Portland Oregon visiting family for the holidays. Tftc
Of course I had to go to the wrong one first - Murphy's Law I guess but still came away smiling. TFTC #9378
Sidewaze and Isis58 on a 5 day long weekend adventure to the Mega in Turangi. 4 days each involved a considerable amount of travelling. That left one day when we didn’t have to get somewhere and we could cache for as long as we liked. We had an amazing day around the backroads and valleys of the Manawatu, really getting a feel for the lie of the land as we travelled.
The brilliant red of the early morning sky was amazing. We marvelled at the green green grass, observed the thousands of cows, heard hundreds of bulls and lots of pheasants and plovers. Saw lots of beautiful mauve daisies. Geocaching is a great way to see so much country that you would otherwise bypass. We signed most logs SWIS to save space, time and sanity. Thank you so much for placing this cache.

Great hide! Thanks for placing! Found on a April 30th on a trip to New Zealand. A long way for the Atlanta, Georgia based Duke's Troup!
I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.
Today I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a full day of caching before an event in the city tonight. We picked up a few caches around the city first, then drove down towards Opiki collecting caches down some of the side roads as we went, then headed across to do the KAS Power Trail, before going up to do the caches around Ohakea then headed back to Palmerston North. This was a quick find on our travels, TFTC!

Vistra and I headed down to Manawatu as the KAS trail has been bugging me in its incomplete form, as we both needed numbers for personal goals it seemed like a good opportunity. Thanks to the cache owners for all the caches and the variety, over 2 days I found over 200 caches, so thank you for placing and maintaining them.
Most were quick easy finds, although there were some very clever ones and some well thought out. TFTC

Was down in Wellington for a few days, and decided that I'd make an extra long weekend of it and transfer a rental car back to Auckland and cache along the way. Unfortunately for the rental agency that ment nearly tripling the km's they thought I'd put on it!
With the rental car company only giving me 48 hours to get the car to Auckland a little bit of planing was needed to maximise what I wanted to accomplish, and with only a few DNF's it turned out to be a very successful trip. So a big thanks to everyone who had placed caches along the way, and for showing me some great sight's along the way.
Day 1: Foxton through to Bulls.
All good here, thanks for the hide.

#1856. Well I have been planning on having a trip to the Manawatu for some time to pick up the powertrails. With the run of great weather we have been having I booked a motel for two nights at Foxton and planned for Friday 12 February to be my "Manawatu Big Day Out". I had prepared an Excel sheet with 170 caches listed on it in a logical driving order going from Foxton through the various trails and over to Palmie and SE to Shannon and back across to Foxton. My first goal was to get enough finds to crack the 142 in 24 hr challenge, then get over the 150 barrier, and all going well see if I could exceed my current largest day of 57 caches by an extra 100 caches. Well the day dawned fine and I was on the road and at my first cache by 6.40am. I unlocked the motel door at 11pm with 158 caches under my belt. Some caches were memorable. Others just made up the numbers. Thanks so much to the CO's who put them out for me to find. Time check 3.51pm. Cheers GSEL
Nice quick find today. Decided to do the ones down this road today as I have 2 hours to spare.
Rain had stopped, Star Wars tickets booked for this evening, time to go caching. A nice quick find, Cheers.
TIme to head home to Christchurch, the slow way!
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

Another quick find to find what turned out to be my last cache for 2015. I had intended to search for number 3 but I decided to leave that for another day when I saw quite a bit of long grass was going to have to be negotiated and I did not want to aggravate my hay fever.
One of our trees fell down before we left home, and chain saw was out of gas....
Hand saw to the rescue, originally planned to go on the cycleway trail but was slightly tired, and these drive in cache outs, are perfect for Jesserfly and myself today.
Cheers Popmac

Found on a meandering return from Palmerston North to the Kapiti Coast. Viewed with some interest by the local livestock.
Been looking at this trail for some time now, myself and Wafflekitties finally made our way up here, had a great day thanks for the trail. TFTC
[green] Up in Palmy for a week long course at Linton, so I came up Friday so I could do a huge maintenance run. but today is a One Day (I have run out of Dot Days for a while) so I need to get a few caches and decided these three were just the ticket. The stream is getting a little close to where I want to put my foot...
Nice hide log was wet but I replaced log

Out early for a day of caching. Started out at -2 degrees and got to 12 eventually - a great day to be out and about all the same. Found quickly and log signed. Thanks for the placement Popmac.
My younger brother had a four-day table tennis tournament in Palmerston North. Rather than sit around and watch paint dry, I decided to take a caching tour of the Manawatu... Joined by Gap (of Fap and Gap).
Another quick find... TFTC.

9. - Ben asked me to quote on some potential business in the Waiouru area, the Squirrel rang me and told me what his plans were so I thought I could combine these two together and met him for a raid on the Manawatu area. What's a few extra kilometres of driving and it's great to have a good boss (Mrs Fap) who said I could disappear for a few days. Arrived late Wednesday night, up early the next morning, hadn't planned anything so followed Squirrel's directions. Boy is there are load of caches in this area. Armed with the Squirrels list off we went, target today 100+ caches.....and see how we go, and Oh what a day so I'm going to have to copy & paste this lot for our logs. SLTFTC35am
On our trail to Hastings we managed 167 caches for the day. Most were a blur but some were very clever. Thanks for the cache. DId wth Buttels
Came to here this afternoon after finishing off the cache trail to the west. A quick find in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC!
Out and about the Manawatu for a day's caching. A great day for it and a most enjoyable tiki tour around the back blocks.

Nice and easy, another straightforward search, cache and contents in fine condition. Thanks for the smiley, Popmac.
Heading back in to town from No.3 and used the gateway opposite to park the car off the road before making a quick dash across to the cache. The container wasn't quite what was expected so took a moment longer to realise that it was the cache after initially not finding anything. TFTC Popmac.
Back down this way for work so what better opportunity to collect a few caches in the early evening and before the event in the morning. Caching always provides a great way to see the local countryside (and also gets me out of motel rooms which I hate being stuck in) to see the countryside.
Nice quick find and cache in great condition
Thanks for the placement
