Heading north to Taranaki with rattll. Made a detour to complete the Lockwood Power Trail, plus any others that we came across such as this one. Spotted the hiding spot from 200m away. All good in container. Tftc!
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. As I meander my way home from Wanganui to Wellington, via the outskirts of Feilding and Palmy, I found a bunch of Geocaches, and this was one of them. This cache was found safe and well, exactly where expected.---Thanks to Popmac for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Replaced log with waterproof paperCheers, Cympull.
Out and about with Flowerydaze on a nice sunny Sunday. Primarily to do the Lockwood Power Trail but as we were so close to many others, they were collected as well. 100% strike rate for the day with only one (nearly) DNF . TFTC Popmac
Although Talla64 and I found this one quickly we were totally unable to sign the log as it was saturated and the pages were stuck together. So we're claiming it as a find and attaching a photo. On a road trip with Talla64 on a lovely sunny day. Quite windy here in the Manawatu compared with the calmer conditions we left behind in Kapiti, but not too bad. We had a target of 21 caches in this area and found most with relative ease. Thank you Popmac for setting up the caches for everyone to find.
Day #3 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend.Nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache
Day 3 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.We had had a big day out today heading up to Apiti and then back down through Pohangina and then back to our accommodation in Himatangi. By now it was quite late and the rest of the crew had over 100 caches for the day but we had previously found a few that they found today so they agreed to just a few more so we could get over the 100 for the day too. We had been in this road twice the day before, being lucky enough to get a FTF in the series, so we had an idea of the terrain etc. This was a nice quick find by torchlight.
A bit of night caching with the gang.Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Hadn’t done much today and needed to get out, so we decided to head out around Longburn just as the rain stopped, that meant the grass was fresh and made our shoes quite soggy.
We ended up finding 12 caches with 100% find rate!
Pole easily spotted but has aged a bit. Cache has a bit extra camp from a sort of mossy slime but was still a quick find.
I wrote in the log and placed the cache back as found. TFTCSL, Thanks Popmac for this Traditional cache and keeping the game rolling. We are now one step closer to our next milestone of 600 finds.

Located 20 caches today (not including an Ad Lab) on a “caching expedition” between Foxton and Palmerston North but, sadly, not this one. It was my only DNF. I expected it to be a reasonably easy find. However a search of the pole and nearby posts proved fruitless. You win some, you lose some! I got beaten on this one!
Time to get junior involved. Grass very long and prickly but together had the cache in hand. Tftc
Had a couple of hours of daylight after work to collect some caches. Since moving to Palmerston North for a few months I thought I would work on our streak. Not difficult as our longest streak was 25 days.
Came out here to look for 6 Popmac caches having noticed that some maintenance had been done on a couple of them. Managed to find 5 and had to abandon the last one as an inquisitive farmer turned up. Enjoyed the variety of hide and most didn’t take too long to find. All the logs were fine.
This did take me a while as I got distracted by the red fish in the ditch. Thanks Popmac for the smiley.

Quick find thanks. Could see where this cache was likely to be poles away log secure and dry. SL TFTC
On a weekend road trip with Philip.Perry, McJandals and NZFlossy down to the Manawatu. Day 1 we are hitting the 20/20 series then not sure what we will be doing. Day 2 today we are geocaching around Palmerston North doing a few puzzles , lab caches and Traditional caches in between. Now Day 3 we are caching our way back to the BOP. Really enjoyed our weekend away.
Signed logs TeamBOP.

What to do on a long weekend. Organise a trip to the mighty Manawatu So here we are. Team BoP on a mission. Day three of what has been a fabulous trip. Unfortunately have to head home today. Many thanks for bringing us here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path
We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss.
While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

Off on another adventure with Team BOP to the Manawatu on a long weekend Great weather and company And lots of different types of caches Day tthree and on the way home Using this template but will try to add add individual notes as we go Thanks to all the COs for providing the caches and fun
I just want an easy geocache today to maintain my Streak of daily geocache finds which currently stands at 204 consecutive days before today.
So I came out to GC4W72H Aorangi Farm because of its high FP count.
Unfortunately I couldn't find it so in frustration came along to get this one.
Straight forward find. Signed log, replaced and back to the Farm for another crack at it. TFTC

Making my way from Levin to Palmy that took a whole day! Taking another little detour here Nice hide! TFTC!!

Spotted the likely hide from a couple of hundred metres away....
Easy park and grab with not much traffic on the road this afternoon
Log also wet but able to sign where we could.

Find number three on my solo cache outing this afternoon. The other 2Prettys were lazing on La-Z-Boys in front of a screen, so I decided to get out in the fresh air and make my goal of finding more caches this December than in previous Decembers.
The log here was quite damp. I was able to sign with a felt-tip pen, but a ball point pen might not have worked.
Thank you for the cache.

Quick drive up and grab but the inside of the container was very wet so we dried it out and added a drying sachet before replacing it. TFTC
I was given some money for my recent birthday and I decided to treat myself to a night out at the Theatre.
So here I am, standing outside the theatre after the curtain has gone down, wondering what to do. Do I go home to bed? Head in to town for a coffee? Or try to get some last minute points towards the current Carnival promotion?
Caching it is!!!
Being a spur of the moment decision, I was woefully unprepared with only the torch on my phone to search with.
This wasn't an issue here though as I blindly felt around in the first hiding place that I saw and soon had the container in hand.
Thanks for the hide.

(# 5101). Today is a trip up the way to grab some Palmy caches. The weather was kind so an enjoyable day all up. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
Definitely a new pole! Quite a few around - so trusted in the lightning-bolt of inspiration TFTC
Yep it was a new pole Found it could have been any one of them thank to GPS got the right one TFTC

An easy find as I could see the title of the cache as I was driving along the road. TFTC.
A little bit of traffic down this road in the early evening, but managed to find this between tractors.
I'm in Palmerston North with one of my sons this week until Sunday. He is swimming in the Manawatu Winter Swimming Champs at Freyberg Pool. There is a 3 and a half hour break between the morning session and the afternoon session. All we have planned is Subway for lunch and an hour looking for geocaches.
The cache is in good condition. A good size container exactly where the hint suggested it would be. The end of the road for us. Time to turn back towards Palmerston North.
We'll be doing a few of your caches in this area from Thursday to Sunday, but may not be able to log them as quickly as I normally would.
Thank you
Cherrys Rule

Moogles watching from afar, and another creature was snoring quite loudly!!. Just found out that was the bull not happy at us being so close. He was even pawing the ground. Signed Team LE.
TFTC found by hubby with team LE. Glad to have boundary fence, drain and then electric fence between us and an pawing bull.
Quickly signed and replaced as found.

Definitely in the title. A very angry cattle beast was stomping angrily. We hoped he would not try to charge us so moved on fast. TFTC.
Today my son and I were due to attend an event in Palmerston North, so had decided to make a day of it and try to round up a few of the more out-of-the-way (for us) caches in the district.
So whilst I have driven nearby many times, the timing has never quite been right to make the effort to go a little out of my way to stop and grab it, but with the Planetary Pursuits Souvenir series going on, then it seemed the right time was now!
This was a very straightforward find, as the co-ords and Hint were spot on. The log was signed as "T & T" to represent myself and my son "ThatWeirdGuy04", and then replaced exactly as found before heading off to the next one.
Thanks for your efforts in placing and maintaining your caches, and for bringing us to areas we wouldn't otherwise get to explore.

Found today with TwigNZ while heading into Palmy to attend an Easter Event, TFTC.
It was easy to identify the correct object to park beside. I should have sorted out the cache container straight away but I picked up a few objects before the penny dropped.
Easily spotted at least GZ was from a distance. One thing of note though geotrails seem to be obliterated pretty easily here. Thanks to the CO for replacing and maintaining this cache. Here from Portland Oregon visiting family for the holidays. Tftc
first to sign the replacement log - thanks for that. Signed as SWIS to save space and time as we are out and about on a mission today. TFTC #9380
Log is drenched and couldn't sign. 2 pukekos were having a fight close by. TFTC
Quick pull up and grab. log is damp. Another day trip to palmy and surrounding areas to try and clean up all the green dots we still have left on our map. Log signed as b&p.Tftc
Lying in a pool of water. Log surprisingly dry. Placed back a little higher. Thanks for the cache.
Very creative hide! Cashing in New Zealand has had great variety! 1st international trip from America!
#2019 Found with wb-Jnr. We have seen this cache type before.
All good at GZ. Thanks for another smilie.

I traveled down to Palmerston North for a 3 day geocaching weekend to give my numbers a bit of a boost, as I head towards my next caching milestone. I decided to fly there and back and pick up a cheap rental car for the weekend. The weather was perfect and I had a great weekend down there.
Today I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a full day of caching before an event in the city tonight. We picked up a few caches around the city first, then drove down towards Opiki collecting caches down some of the side roads as we went, then headed across to do the KAS Power Trail, before going up to do the caches around Ohakea then headed back to Palmerston North. This was a quick find on our travels, TFTC!

Vistra and I headed down to Manawatu as the KAS trail has been bugging me in its incomplete form, as we both needed numbers for personal goals it seemed like a good opportunity. Thanks to the cache owners for all the caches and the variety, over 2 days I found over 200 caches, so thank you for placing and maintaining them.
Most were quick easy finds, although there were some very clever ones and some well thought out. TFTC

Was down in Wellington for a few days, and decided that I'd make an extra long weekend of it and transfer a rental car back to Auckland and cache along the way. Unfortunately for the rental agency that ment nearly tripling the km's they thought I'd put on it!
With the rental car company only giving me 48 hours to get the car to Auckland a little bit of planing was needed to maximise what I wanted to accomplish, and with only a few DNF's it turned out to be a very successful trip. So a big thanks to everyone who had placed caches along the way, and for showing me some great sight's along the way.
Day 1: Foxton through to Bulls.
This one certianly stands out from the rest, thanks for the hide.

#1858. Well I have been planning on having a trip to the Manawatu for some time to pick up the powertrails. With the run of great weather we have been having I booked a motel for two nights at Foxton and planned for Friday 12 February to be my "Manawatu Big Day Out". I had prepared an Excel sheet with 170 caches listed on it in a logical driving order going from Foxton through the various trails and over to Palmie and SE to Shannon and back across to Foxton. My first goal was to get enough finds to crack the 142 in 24 hr challenge, then get over the 150 barrier, and all going well see if I could exceed my current largest day of 57 caches by an extra 100 caches. Well the day dawned fine and I was on the road and at my first cache by 6.40am. I unlocked the motel door at 11pm with 158 caches under my belt. Some caches were memorable. Others just made up the numbers. Thanks so much to the CO's who put them out for me to find. Time check 3.51pm. Cheers GSEL
I had a bit of spare time before school finished so thought i'd take the TB visiting some caches in the district. Only phone cache & it wasn't playing the game so luckily I used initiative but missed the 2 caches near by.
I was a little amused by the cache container...which was not what I was expecting!

[green] Over this way to do some maintenance, reinstating Ned Kelly. That done, over this way to get some odds and sods caches while I'm in the vicinity. I came around the corner about 450m from the cache, saw what looked like a new pole. Ignored the GPS and drove straight to it. Lots of interesting holes, for some great classic hides, but no, this was simpler, even more classic hide than that. Thanks for the little outing in this awesome weather, although slightly less weather would be even more awesome!
Had to drop Jr. Cacher #1 at a party out this way and so decided to use the opportunity to grab some nearby caches that we hadn't done. A quick find in the expected location. Log was slightly damp but otherwise fine, TFTC.
Sunday on the go with a big menu of geocaches ahead of us.
All good here. Straightforward find.
Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Out early for a day of caching. Started out at -2 degrees and got to 12 eventually - a great day to be out and about all the same. Never been down tis road before....saw said pole from a distance. Cache found and the paperwork completed. Thanks for the placement Popmac.
My younger brother had a four-day table tennis tournament in Palmerston North. Rather than sit around and watch paint dry, I decided to take a caching tour of the Manawatu... Joined by Gap (of Fap and Gap).
We picked up the cache as a cyclist zoomed past. A quick sign off... TFTC.

9.5 - Ben asked me to quote on some potential business in the Waiouru area, the Squirrel rang me and told me what his plans were so I thought I could combine these two together and met him for a raid on the Manawatu area. What's a few extra kilometres of driving and it's great to have a good boss (Mrs Fap) who said I could disappear for a few days. Arrived late Wednesday night, up early the next morning, hadn't planned anything so followed Squirrel's directions. Boy is there are load of caches in this area. Armed with the Squirrels list off we went, target today 100+ caches.....and see how we go, and Oh what a day so I'm going to have to copy & paste this lot for our logs. SLTFTC0am
On our trail to Hastings we managed 167 caches for the day. Most were a blur but some were very clever. Thanks for the cache. DId wth Buttels
Came to here this afternoon after finishing off the cache trail to the west. A quick find in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC!
