DNF by the chefs , after a call from daks emu mob telling us where its located it seems to have been muggled once again.
Attempted today with "chefs" and after a hotline call ,could see where it had been, but looks like its gone-sorry.A great rose garden with wedding in progress and we all had a nice picnic lunch nearby .thanks for the challenge and will be back another day to find .Thanks GeoJo.
This cache has been replaced 3 times now after muggle activity, the last one disappearing after only 1 find. Looks like it's time to retire A Cache By Any Other Name, but there's still a couple of others in the area.
We were introducing some friends to geocaching but we made a bit of a meal of this one.
Unfortunately we couldn't locate it but there was evidence of destroyed emery boards and packets around.
Hope it was just us and it hasn't been muggled again.

Found at 6.28pm GAFF1. We were on our way to Ocean Grove and thought we may as well try our luck on this cache as we continually by-pass it as we are either too late (supposed to close at 5.00pm) or we are on our way to somewhere else and just haven't got time to stop. To our pleasant surprise when we arrived at the gate at 6.20pm it was still open. So we grabbed our stuff and rushed over to GZ noticing some flowers or something along the way! We quickly found the spot where a nice round cache container should have been, but no cache there. Looking around us we then found the container, which was cracked and also found some of contents which were strewn around the area - muggled! Picked up what we could find, called GeoJo and met up with her in Packington St. Geelong while we were having dinner. We then had a great time over dinner with Jo where we passed on the cache and the remaining contents. Thanks GeoJo - hope the cache is replaced soon.
A phone call this evening from pprass gave me the bad news that this cache had been muggled. I'll look at replacing this one with a smaller container as soon as possible.
A pleasant scent wafted over GZ and the find was very easy.
I thought the blooms would have tailed off by now but many were still going strong.

Thank You.

I had a couple of friends from interstate with me and we were playing tourist around Werribee. The Garden was on the list, and while we were there I thought a quick cache would be in order (I mean, what would you do?).
The flowers smelt spectacular in the early morning drizzle.
They quickly found the cache (lots of jumping around) and we did a swap.
Took: Globe Trotter TB, Left: a big snake.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found by 4 Men and a Lady at 1615 on 11 January after a great lunch and winery visit at Werribee Manasio and Shadowfax winery.
This was a great cache because it took both the Lady and I thorugh a magnificent garden, one that we had not been to before (at least myself anyway)
Took Gardening Gloves
Left Elephant and Global Gadabout TB to continue its journey around the world
Unfortunately no long distance travel in the near term so thought we would place it somewhere where interstate or international travellers frequent. As lots of interstate and international visitors attend the WM conference centre and the Zoo there is a fair chance this TB will achieve its goal
Many thanks GeoJo

We took a stroll past this little gem on our way to the Land of Contrasts.
We think the gardens are fantastic this time of year, so we left a couple of packets of seeds to encourage future gardners.
We also swapped TB's. Globe Trotter in & LadyBug out.
Thanks Geo Jo

Found at 10:20am on the way to do Uncle & Auntie duties at the equestrian centre next door. The gardens will be magic in a couple more weeks - will have to come back for another look. Didn't have anything of a gardening nature in the goodies pack (where have all my flamingo plant ties gone?), so in honour of our niece's efforts in riding in the pony club State Games we left a horse and took nothing. After watching a couple of events we found that the Cobram crew was parked on the other side of the fence within 100m of the cache! We even tried to convert Tina's horse Dandy to caching while we were there! - see photo.
thanks GeoJo

Did a maintenance check on this cache while attempting to do another nearby. Took it home for 24 hours to dry out container (please make sure lid is on properly when replacing) and added new logbook. Removed inappropriate swaps and replaced with gardening goodies. PLEASE KEEP TO THE GARDENING THEME!
It was a good day to be out and about. After admiring some nearby exotic beasts we came by here. This garden would be amazing in spring.

We have visited this site many times pre-caching days and in spring find this area spectacular.
Many thanks Geojo for bringing us back to this site. The cache was found fairly easily but was damp and the log book was rather wet.
We tried to tidy it up as best as we could, but I didn’t bring any of those silica sachets that absorb moisture.
Thanks again we really enjoyed the cache.

Always a pleasant place to go any time of the year. The Rangers were doing some serious gardening with a front-end loader and rotary hoe (I thought they were supposed to use nail clippers on the roses). Pity they have never built a small tower on the hill so you could see the layout of the garden. Stopped to smell the roses, and got caught up in a conversation with a muggle who was under the misguided impression that I knew anything about roses.
Took: Fire engine (hopefully not needed in a garden), Left: pair of micro sprinkler taps.
Thanks, Robmc.

What a great, colourful garden – but I guess that’s the nature of roses [^] . Had the whole place to myself, the last tourists departing as I arrived. Coords were spot-on and I found it without trouble. Took nothing, but left a Lioness that may have escaped from the nearby zoo . The logbook was damp and I wasn’t able to dry it out. Thanks for another cache in a delightful setting GeoJo
Thie was our first today. Wasn't too hard, the garden was full of pruning muggles but thanks to the hill I dont think they noticed our antics. Took a Lion and left a Shampoo.
WOW!
What a beautiful garden
Had a bit of a wander around before heading to GZ.
Cache was found without any hassle
Took:Kermit
Left:Fire Engine
Got approached by a man after leaving GZ... though the worse, but all he wanted was for mwe to take a photo of him and his wife...PHEW!

Found on 08/02/05 @ 1132 AEDST. 17th of 44 for the day with Facitman. THE RAIN HAS STOPPED
A very nice, albeit quick, walk to the cache (without stopping to smell the roses - no time today )
IN: 40th Forage card

Found at 15.20. We loved this spot. The cache was full of earwigs, after the lid hadn't been clicked on properly. TNLN, thanks GeoJo.
Found at 9:40am. Rabbitto's Run 2004. The 5th of 33 finds for the day on our attempt to log the most caches in Australia in one day. Time elapsed since start. 1 Hour 40 Mins.
We came up roses on this one . Unfortunately not too much time to stay and enjoy this time around but it's a great spot and we have been here a couple of times in the past. Is that Maccamob's house just nearby?
TNLN. Thanks GeoJo from D,S & H B-A.

WOW! We arrived to do this one and found ourselves at a children's picnic day. Lucky for us as we had children and a picnic with us!! We stayed for most of the day and enjoyed the festivities before we sneaked off to nab this cache. Swapped a koala for Kermit. Thanks!
After sending the day chasing Zebra, Giraffes and Lions at Werribee Zoo in the company of two friends we quickly did this one on our way home
Actually, I was at the wedding ceremony in The Mansion, but I've managed to sneak out and find this one. It's an easy find and I regret not taking more time to explore the garden.

Caching my way around Werribee and Hoppers Crossing with barcoder. After the slippery slope leading down to "Red Cliffs Too", it was a nice to be walking around a civilised garden. There were precious few roses to be seen at this time of year--the place must wonderful when they are all in bloom. Anyhow, we proceeded to GZ, and barcoder found it before me this time at 0930.
IN: Packet of (damp) seeds that I got from "Red Cliffs Too" (I put then in a zip lock bag)
OUT: Bubble blower

I was here about 4 months ago with some friends. It is a wonderful place to visit. A great day out with the family. We put Red Cliffs Too behind us and decided to 'smell the roses'. No roses, but I 'blooming' well found the cache. We are doing well at this point 8 more to go in our Werribee- a-thon.

A lovely stroll through an aromatic garden.
I haven't had this pleasing aroma since before my grandfather passed away. His passion was this flower and his garden smelt just like this. Thanks for a wonderful memory.
We found the cache right where the GSP said. In fact, the smallest team member (4 years old) spotted the cache and was very excited.
We took a bouncy ball and left a wine glass bubble mix.

Found this one at about 11:30 and it was juzmac + two today with Tania's neice and nephew in tow (4 and 1.5) so that was fun trying to keep them amused and still do some serious caching. took coasters and left bouncy ball and small green rubber mat. thanks geojo.
Realised I didn't have the sheet for this one, but thought we would give it a go anyway. Took time out to smell the surroundings on the way to GZ. Left flower coasters and took gnome pothanger.
Found after a 10 minute search. Took the snake and left "garden strength" tape. Thanks JoMac.
Love this park. Have been here a few times. Sniffed my way towards the cache. Found the cache at 1:28pm swapped the only thing I had to do with a garden which was a rubber snake - for a packet of seeds.
Thanks for the experience GeoJo.

A quick and easy find. Just as well, as time was ticking away, we thought we may get locked in as the gates shut at 5 pm. Luckily for us the place was deserted and we were able to retrieve and replace the cache fairly quickly without being seen. Took packet of seeds left pot hanger garden gnome. Thanks GeoJo for a nice walk and pleasant location.

Found at 2:45pm, with a beautiful smell on one side and fertilizer on the other. Easter Monday was a beautiful day and many people were taking advantage of the day to visit the closeby attractions. No swap made – I forgot to pick up a garden type swap.
took some looking after the gps went flat, but i got it very pleasent area, no exchange thanks geojo
With the number of no-finds for what I thought was a relatively easy cache, I asked maccamob to return again to check the container was still in position.
New readings have been taken, with a resultant shift in co-ordinates of approximately 10m NW.
(Original co-ordinates: S 37° 55.724, E 144° 40.512)
Hopefully this will make it easier to find

Had a nice visit to the garden but could not find the cache. Moved lots of leaf litter but no joy.
I searched and searched but to no avail. I even tried diferent datums but all put me in the same spot. Some pruning was evident so maybe it has been raided. I'll keep a watch on this site and if it is found by others I'll have another go when I'm back in Victoria.
cheers

Went back to visit this cache on the way to Red Cliffs Too. When it was planted in May, the cache area was well hidden amongst the trees, and no flowers to be seen. In the middle of summer, there are blooms everywhere, and there's been a bit of pruning - many trees removed! GZ is now more visible, but still away from the general public. A huge belated thankyou to Liz & Bruce for providing a new cache container!
This was our third for the day and a really good place for a walk. We loved the blooms but as we got to gz there was many people in the nearby equestrian centre. They were on the other side of the fence but close to where the cache could easily be seen. I had a quick look but didnt want to arouse Mr Ed so left without a find. Next time
This was our next cache for the day and after Red Cliffs we wanted success. It was still quite early and headed for the coords through the Equestrian Centre - I did comment this didn't seem right. We drove straight through and did get a few funny looks and then parked by where we should have been but around the back. Entered the area and the sprinklers were on. Weren't there long when a Vic Park person approached us and asked us what we were doing. We said we had come to look at the blooms and he apologised that they were watering but that the park wasn't really open at that time but it was OK for us a stay. The place looked fantastic - it is definitely the right time to go. Anyway back to the cache. As we approached we say a damaged plastic bag out in the open - the log book was still there and the packets of seeds (nothing else). Bruce went back to the car and got one of our 1 litre buckets and we hid it where we believe it was originally placed. We would like to return to this area again and look at some of the other nearby attractions (can't do it this trip too many more caches to find).
Found at 2.50PM We had to wait for the coast to be clear of lawn mowers before making the final assault on this cache but fortunately found it without to much delay. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev

I searched the area for the cache for at least half an hour and was just about to give up when I finally found it.
I had nothing of the garden variety and had run out of batteries to leave so there was no exchange.
Thanks Jomac
Yay, I found it this time! 2nd time Lucky
Lovely, warm, sunny, blue skied day.
Took some truly wonderful photos.

I couldn't find it This was my very 1st cach hunt. I spent an hour tramping around the undergrowth to no avail. I looked along the fence, near the locked gate and even under the box thorn. Ah well I might try again later. There are plenty of others to find.
Amazed that there weren't more people around at this location! Once we got a little closer to GZ we saw a couple of kids playing in and around the vegetation, so sat in a holding pattern until they lost interested and headed elsewhere.
Cache was well hidden - took the mini garden stake sharpener and left a packet of seeds. Remind me to wear a long sleeved shirt next time we go caching, so I don't get scratched all up and down my arms again!!
Thanks JoMac - we'll have to come back again next time and check out the garden in bloom.

Seached everywhere, along the fence, near the section with a locked gate, couldn't find the cache but saw plenty of pine needles!
Nice location, but could be a little tricky when all those flowers are in bloom. Took gardening gloves and left garden stake (very small ones that is) sharpener.
Found by Mary & David at 1040 during a welcome break in the morning Melbourne drizzle. What a bloomin' beauty! Very nice not to have to climb another hill! No sound of chainsaws today, just the quiet click of secateurs as a party of volunteers worked their way through the 3-month task of pruning in the extensive gardens. Luckily, the cache was well out of their sight, and Mary found it in a few minutes. Took a packet of Calendula seeds and left two sachets of cut flower preservative and a Floriade fridge magnet. We then took a slow stroll back to the car enjoying the few flowers still about and the many little wrens all over the grounds. ''To smell the roses you must first plant them''. Thanks to Jomac.

Found this one easily enough, though I did have to reset the GPS to find it. There were lots of workers nearby, and no visitors looking around.
As a flat dweller with no garden, I had nothing to contribute to the cache, thus no swap was made.
Thanks for the cache.

Found by Maya and Ray at 9:50AM. As we approached the gardens we were greeted with the dulcet soothing sounds of Chain Saws Not exactly the fanfare welcome we had expected. Seems they were preparing for an event and were upgrading some of the obstacles on the horse course. We managed to slip past the workers unobserved and found the cache easily. It, and we, were well concealed from those around. We evicted the resident field mouse from the cache (the lid was not fitting properly) and removed his (or her) pleasure, the seed block. We swapped it for a selection of garden watering items. Now the lid fitted better. Thanks for planting the cache. Ray and Maya.
