Found on a trip north from Adelaide for a few weeks with Freddo.A quick find here. Cache was in good order. Thanks Lumpyjrb for the cache.
The dog head was visited and the cachey thing was found. No trouble finding this one.Freddo and e.gregory1 were heading up the middle of Australia following Stuart's well trodden route. We were travelling in air conditoned comfort and style. No stale food. No camels to carry water. We were leaving the cold winter for the northern season.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is the twentieth and ninth day of Julius Caesar's Month in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a cool cloudy and raining. No wind today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Day 5 of our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road now .First night on a rest area some kilometers after Darwin .After Katherine Gorge we drove back and found this one .TFTC# 17'111
Found it with Deefa71 but no logbook inside. Took a photo as evidence of our find. Tftc
We found your cache today 30 June 2024 12:31pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Lumpyjrb
Ocw the Bebes as we come back through Katherine. A quick find using the hint. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Camping just up the road we had to stop at this canine themed cache. Loved the puppy and after a little while PDG spotted the well camod cache. Tftc
Oh you tricky trickster, on our travels we stopped to grab this cache, it took us a while but then geo hubby had the cache in hand, thanks for placing it
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and returning through the centre to SA and home again. Thanks for the cache Lumpyjrb, the log was full so we left a new one.
Travelling with iluvtrekking exploring northern coast of WA and the NT. Spending a few days in Katherine which is our first visit. Cache log was full so left a fresh one. Thanks for the hide.
Love these cool caches. Great hide though still can’t see a dog real well but hubby could. Log needs attention. Hard to sign.
Spent 2o minutes listening to the kids whinge they couldn't find it, then mum gets out and goes straight to location and picks it up the kids weren't impressed. Great hide!
Out caching with Irondale and we just had to stop and look at the dogs head and grab the traditional cache here too. I accidentally ended up climbing to the top of the dogs head even though I didn’t need to.
Either way it was a great way to get acquainted with the rocks for this earthcache TFTEC

That took some exploring and climbing, maybe a 2 terrain.
Cache container and log are breaking down a little but made a small signature.

Driving down to Katherine today and detouring through Litchfield National park. A lot of the areas were closed off so made good time through the park TFTH

Second time here. First time looking for 20 mins and couldn't find and today found it within 10 seconds. Thanks
Find number 10902 at 3:48:32 pm on Tuesday the 16 August 2022
Went out to the Cutta Cutta Caves this morning but couldn’t get in because the misses had open toe’d shoes, will try again tomorrow morning with steel capped safety boot At least we had some time to grab a few caches on the way back to the museum and then camp. We also grabbed a few caches later on the way out to the Hot Springs this afternoon.
Went round and round this hot afternoon but eventually spotted the rock
**Thanks for placing this cache Lumpyjrb**

We’re all going to Whittlesea to participate in Victoria’s next Mega!

Another case of starting to get hot and bothered but this one took longer than it should have, got there in the end then. Big rock, our dogs head doesn't look like that, she is much cuter haha.
There is so much history right through the area, between the military action and aboriginal presence there is a heap to take in around the region. We stayed right in Katherine and fanned out to look at different bits, we stayed at Knotts Crossing Resort which made us smile that it was called a resort, it was still fine accommodation but we wouldn't associate the word "resort" with it, it was handy that it had a stove so we didnt have to look for somewhere to eat all the time, biggest bonus was it had an air conditioner!!
Thanks Lumpyjrb for yet another cache along the way. TNLNSL

I trusted the terrain, so a mere 1.5 kept my searching down below the top of the boulder. I searched around, but this makes my second DNF; the other being on 12/Jul/2016. Both DNFs logged.
Found at 1:47:00 PM(t) GAFF3.
Another one that took the stuffing out of p-pprass as he wandered from here to there as the GPSr wasn't being very o-operative around these rocks. Eventually it was found in a very simple and logical spot - but way away from the original co-ords, which finally settled at 5 metres at GZ.
Still can't see a dog in that rock formation!
Thanks Lumpyjrb.

Hunting along with goingplaces2 and picking up caches they have not done before. Enjoyed each discovery and adding names to each log where possible. TFTC.
After attending the mega in Townsville we are now heading for Darwin. First a couple of nights in Katherine at the Riverview cp. This was one of the caches we targeted and found. Thanks for arranging the hide. Enjoyed the location.
On holidays in the Northern Territory with beavar and stopped for the EC and the traditional at this POI. The container has lost its lid and the contents were wet. Provided a new log sheet in a zip lock bag, SL at 12.35pm, replaced the container inside another zip lock bag. Hope that keeps it all dry. The best we could do with our holiday maintenance kit. #8609. TFTC Lumpyjrb at this interesting feature.
What a cool rock! Missed this on the way to the gorge this morning, but great to get it on the way back into Katherine this afternoon. Made some running repairs to keep it going. TFTC
Found it on an early morning ride back from from the gorge. Log is drenched, possibly from the last few days rain. TFTC
After a relaxing morning on a gorge tour, we decided to get some smileys on the way home
Great to be able to find this geocache.
Finally a chance to catch up with putting a smiley here, not often do I get a chance on the computer

In town visiting friends and drove past this one on the way to the Gorge. Found it but didn’t know it at first. Then the light bulb went on, clever hide. Tftc
A brilliant little find on a great local icon.
Thanks for sharing this interesting location.

This is a brilliant rock formation. Mostly I can not see the animal that rocks are supposed to resemble, but I could definitely see this dog. The cache was found easily.
Heading off to the final turnaround point if COVID gets extended, Here we come Katherine for 3 days. Just heard the news about a worker in self iso, being found at the shops in Darwin.
Lets hope that this as not caused any damage to our plans. Picking up along the highway as we go.

One of many caches found with SJG66 as we toured around the NT, thanks to all the local CO's.
Found it quite easily, thanks to the hint Put a new sheet of paper in it as the log is quite full. Saw the ingenious ‘leaf’ log entry by The X-trailers... nice haga
Made this one harder than it should have . Inner container needs replacing and log . Signed a leaf and left in outer container

Cheeky little find here. I must be a bit blind as I was looking at a rock on the other side of the road thinking that was the rock.

Found it but the log was all wet and soggy so we couldn’t write on it. Very clever container to put the GC in.
Can owner please replace log with a nice dry one and also please get the ants out of it.THX
Arrived a little too early for check in at the hotel, we decided to find some caches. We did the Earthcache and then found this container. TFTC.
Something about the cache:
**================================================================================
Arriving to Katherine a little to early to check in. We choose to find a few caches in the town first.
While trying to do the Earthcache, we discovered thre was an other cache at the same place.
Nice container.

Something about the day:
*================================================================================
From october 16 to november 6 2019, my wife (lp.dk) and I visited Australia for the first time.
After a flight of more than 20 hours, we landed in Darwin. After 2 nights in the city we continued in a rented car first towards Kakadu National Park and later towards Alice Springs.
In Alice Springs we were picked up in an off-road bus and went on a 3-day trip into the wilderness, with overnight stays in a tent close to Uluru.
Back in Alice Springs we drove all the way to Adelaide, from where we flew to Sydney, where we visited our son who has settled there.
After 5 days in the city, we flew back to Singapore, which we visited for 2 days before the final flight back to Copenhagen.
In total, the trip lasted just over 3 weeks.
On the trip we would like to find / visit as many Earth caches, Virtual and Webcams as possible, but also the other kinds of caches when possible.
================================================================================*
No trade.
Found together with lp.dk
Thanks to Lumpyjrb for this cache.
Found the 20-10-2019, as cache number: 11951.

We continue our journey to Katherine Park a little earlier than expected since our 2WD campervan is not allowed to go on sniff tracks !!! We will make a few stops at the sight of green dots .... the road will seem much shorter . Thanks to all the installers for the work done. Hello from France. ***********************************

Second time here for a cache, this was where the only casualty of Katherine bombing died I think. After getting the detaiul for the earthcache I searched and found this cache. T F T C Lumpyjrb
We arrived late-ish yesterday and had pre-booked a river cruise for 0900 today so was confident of a nice visit to the River gorge and let mrs capperz share the great scenery. We were not disappointed and took in the marvellous sights all around, and even a freshie croc on the way back.
On the road down to Katherine for a couple of days, and caches, and the scenery is awesome. Whilst down there we headed in via Litchfield and managed to snag an awesome 5 Earthcaches - yay. Also did the boat cruise, an awesome meal at the RSL and a good couple of days road trip.
We're in Darwin after our few days way out West and rather than slim pickings (geocache-wise) there's a feast of finds up for grabs. As it turned out we found a modest amount of finds and just picked at a few here and there rather than the gluttonous frenzy last time I visited in 2012. We were initially staying in the Alatai but that lasted one night before we moved to better digs on Mitchell - wise choice.
It's that time of year at last when we're heading off on a 2 week break to Australia. We're travelling in 2 distinct phases; see our son and his family in Broome for 5 nights then up to Darwin and NT for a 6 night break before heading back to NZ for Winter, brrrr. There were not many Broome caches to be found as we had visited in September 2016, but there were a couple of newbies available and a revisit to some previously enjoyed sights and sites. A great break and good to get some mid-year sun to recharge the batteries. Main focus was Earthcaches and any collateral solved/qualified for Puzzles and Challenges as well as a friendly Event in Darwin on our first night in town. A good trip all round and nice time was had.

Okay Lumpys, I’ll give you the pleasure and log a DNF for this one (for the time being)
A broken ankle, a marked car, an upcoming appointment and a town full of helpful people who know me and all want to stop for a chat, made it too difficult to find this one today
I’ll be back though
Thank you for giving my caches a new life xx

A quick grab while in the area gleaning answers to the nearby earthcache. I wee bit of a scramble to get to GZ but a very quick find once there. I etched my name in the log, returned the container as found then headed off for another couple of caches.
Cheers Lumpyjrb.

Nice hide TFTC all is good with the cache never did figure the dog out let alone the neck
Interesting bit of rock formation. Took a while to work out where his head was and what kind of dog we thought he was, but think we got there in the end. Nice cache hide which was located very swiftly. TFTC
