This is my 1000th cache log a fine day to acheive this tftc

19-May-24
Collecting a couple of strays with LW. Quick find, very good container a bit tricky to get into, thankfully we managed. TFTC Cool

19-May-24
Cache was a quick find today when I was out geocaching with Busypaws. Slowly doing lolly scramble caches that I havent already done

06-Apr-24
I had a free day while the rest of the family went out boating so I did what every keen geocacher does in a new location. I have attempted this series before but did not complete it as I tried it in spring when all the trees are shedding pollen, and I could not continue with the layers of pollen making me sneeze. It is a fun little trail with very clever themed cache containers that just add to the general amusement. I completed this series and have avenged all my previous DNF's and got some new ones too. Thanks for replacing this one, it was missing on my last attempt due to maintenance having just been done. TFTC

17-Feb-24
Today the Lolly Scramble series is my target. I'm with MacPacMum and while I find them she performs any maintenance required. Most are in excellent condition, with some needing fresh logs and baggys, and an odd few that need replacing altogether. It's great to have a power trail where all the caches are themed containers, and each one has had so much time, thought, and effort put into them. Thanks for keeping this trail going over 10 years MPM.A quick solve of this puzzle last night and it turned out to be our first stop for the mission today (after making a brief first-first stop on the way here).

16-Feb-24
Still rolling along fine

21-Oct-23
Such a busy road ! Thanks for replacing the cache

15-Oct-23
At a recent event the CO reported that the cache was to be replaced. We collected the park n' grab final today on the way to Kaiapoi for an afternoon tour, filling in a puzzle dot day that way. Thanks for the exquisitely chosen container, MacPacFamily!

23-Sep-23
16:50 Saw it was replaced since last time I went for a Lolly Scramble mission, so stopped to find. A bit of an awkward parking but that's alright. For some reason this road was the busiest road in NZ this afternoon.Tried to retrieve and sign as quickly as possible.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, MacPacFamily!#9896

17-Sep-23
Logging to remove the needs maintenance. Replaced.

17-Sep-23
This cache has been awol while a replacement was sourced. Unfortunately, one of a similar size wasn't to be found. Hopefully, its visibility will not be detrimental, and it will sweeten your day for awhile to come.

27-Aug-23
Missing but have replacement to bring out soon

23-Oct-22
We solved this some time ago. We saw from the DNFs that it was probably missing, and stopped to confirm this as we were passing by today. A short through check confirmed our agreement with the last two cachers. Time for a CO check and probable replacement.

23-Oct-22
This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

29-Jan-22
No luck today, my calculated coordinates pointed to a likely hint object.

21-Sep-21
Nothing was attached to the item at GZ and going by the white paint on the ground and grass it has been recently maintained/painted.

Really excited to start the Lolly Scramble series - the effort gone info this series is amazing!! TFTC
The classic black and white hard-boiled lollies with a peppermint flavour. Black Balls are a Kiwi favourite from way back and still as popular as ever!

20-Mar-21
Another trip to Christchurch for a few days visiting family. Early morning start to find some more caches in this area. Thanks MacPacFamily for the cache.

04-Mar-21
Seeing that I was in Kaiapoi I had a look in my GPS for any solved puzzles that I hadn't found and this one popped up so off I did trod to the final GZ.

Cheers for the cache.

04-Oct-20
I've got a little spare time today and on my list is to go find some of the caches on my solved list. This one has been on that list since 2014 so I swung past here and moved it from that solved list to found. Thanks M&Ms.

02-Oct-20
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.

02-Oct-20
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...

There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!

1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...

We have another one of those punishing plans to cache until we drop - An early morning start with the hope that we'll finish at a reasonable time... From South Christchurch, we took Highway 1 and crossed the Waimakariri River into Northern Christchurch... We've been lucky to have great weather, and extended daylight hours have given us more time to cache. Unfortunately, the sun must set each day and it's become a race to squeeze in a few more finds. So, at this late afternoon hour, we chose to knock off the the remaining Lolly Scramble hides... After a long wearisome day, this was our last cache. We crossed the road, and despite the darkness, this was a quick find. Thanks M&Ms and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

Lolly Scramble: Blackballs ll (Canterbury) was transferred from MandMCachers to user MacPacFamily

01-Nov-19
We had completed most of this trail 3½yrs ago but there always remained the occasional green icon along here. Some are now archived and a few new ones popped up. Today we were heading to Chch from the Coast for reasons other than geocaching for a change and our first destination was Kaiapoi. How convenient, our 'planned' route would take us along this road.
No problem finding this cache, felt a bit uncomfortable with passing traffic so took it back to the car to sign.
Thank you M&M Cachers.

01-Nov-19
The primary objective for this trip wasn't geocaching but sometimes you can't help yourself. We were very selective with our to-do list today and choose on the basis of missed when last through, having been at the wrong side of the road or quick P&G. Last one of the series and a lot of fun it was. GZ is a busy place with passing traffic but strategic parking and signing in the car was confusing enough for the peeps zooming past that nobody could have figured out what we were up to. Thank you MandMCachers

02-Oct-19
Great fun, out for lolly scramble adventure in the rain!

02-Oct-19
First of hopefully a few on a day caching with C Boyd. Just managed to solve in time before we left. Very wet day today but hopefully it will clear up later on.

08-Mar-19

As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble this cache has been checked and logbook replaced.

28-Oct-18
A very enjoyable puzzle to solve. The cache was a quick find. The log paper is very fragile but still usable. TFTC.

Enjoyed solving this. And these were my dad's favourite lollies. He kept them in his workshop. Retrieved this in the rain and thete was quite a bit if traffic so had to pick my moment. Thanks for the puzzle and cache. #2880

18-Oct-17
thanks for the placement, we have been loved travelling and visiting the roads of Christchurch and the many caches each CO has taken the time to place, thank you for taking the time to place and maintain them.

05-Jun-17
Quick find on a drizzly afternoon before work. I had to get a bit of help in the end to see the light with this puzzle... TFTC (3758)

During our holidays in Newzealand we searched some Caches.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this box

15-Jan-17
Together with arbor95 I am on a holiday tour in New Zealand. Cool

We are two Germans, old friends since a long time. Together we visited a lot of other countries in the past, even before we started geocaching. [^]

For our trip we usually looking for some extraordinary caches. Wink

Therefore we had mostly a lot of fun. Big Grin

Here we stopped with the car and found it easily.

Thank You very much for this geocache, for the challenge and for the maintaining.

Greetings from tripleclaus to MandMCachers. Smile

26-Jun-16
Headed out for a day of caching with Mr. Kiwi, to celebrate my 30th tomorrow. We had planned originally to nail our 400th - but the effects of both recent celebrations and real life in general meant we decided to cruise through the lolly trail, fruit and vege loop and whatever else came our way. It was a great day out together, and we were grateful to the cache owners who take the time to set up and maintain their hides.
So to you all, TFTC!

15-Jun-16
In the region for a few days for work but with a bit of spare time to go out caching. The last time I did some caches in this series I hadn't had time to solve this puzzle. Managed to have another look at it a couple of days ago and found the solution before too long. Didn't take long to find the cache either. TFTC, Biggles.

06-Jun-16
I had the earlier one solved a long time ago but never got a chance to look for it, oh well never-mind, at least this one was a much quicker solve based on the earlier solve.

TFTC

05-May-16
Quick easy find on my way home from work. Loving the themes caches to all of these hides an impressive effort.

28-Mar-16
#12183. Troodles solved the puzzle and found the cache. I found a few blackberries. TFTC.

28-Mar-16
StreetWalker likes autumn caching in locations with blackberry canes as there is a high probability of some ripe fruit to scoff. He made a bee line for the blackberry while I looked for the cache. It was in the first place I looked, so I didn't really need his help.
Enjoyed the solve, ages ago when it was first published but this is the first time we have been in the area to make the find. Good to get Mark II as we were foiled by a moat surrounding GZ when we tried to access Mark I a few years ago.
Hope to pick up the remaining unfound lolly scrambles at a later date. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

21-Feb-16
It's so long since we solved the puzzle that we don't recall how we did it, but clearly it was within our capabilities. The cache was a quick easy find today. TFTC

12-Dec-15

25-Oct-15
Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Greetings from Finland

25-Oct-15
Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Well themed caches and a great trail, quick find The first for the day, we decided to start at the beginning of the lolly trails today. TFTC

Returned to the rest of the Lolly Scramble Trail today to clean up some of the remaining caches we missed yesterday, accompanied once again by vistra and yorkshirekiwi83, on a big numbers mission while visiting Canterbury for the Christchurch Mega Event.

A greatly and fun themed series that we really enjoyed finding. Thanks for your effort gone into this trail! Big Grin

25-Oct-15
Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!

Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces. Cool

24-Oct-15
Out with sharkiefan for a few hours of caching to find the caches that we missed by heading overseas. It was a busy, but beautiful morning. This was our last find of the series for today before collecting a car and heading off to the mega. Cheers for all of the caches!

24-Oct-15
Wonderful day caching with PEGS, and having a great time at the MEGA !

24-Oct-15
This Cache was found during our Christchurch Mega Road Trip from the Deep South. A fabulous time was had exploring the region and discovering caches. All in all, a fun road trip with Guwapo, Granville86a, Mrs Hazzer and KiwiGeoswami, we signed the log as a Team under the name P.E.G.S to save both time and logsheet spaces. Thank you for the lolly cache series we enjoyed the creativity, imagination and hard work gone into all the cache hides, all are favourites but some more so than others, TFTS!!!

24-Oct-15
In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.

Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found.

Cheers and TFTC

24-Oct-15
After a morning caching in the area north of the MEGA we lunched at a cafe in town and then came to finish off a few we missed yesterday. This was one of those. With the co-ords sorted from the mystery of the puzzle we approached GZ for a quick find. Many thanks again MandMCachers [^][^]

24-Oct-15
Found with L4TB (the reunion tour). We set off to finish what we started a few years ago. Nearly 2 years has seen an influx of caches in this area. I selected the remaining Lolly Scramble caches and The Fruit and Vege loop specifically for today's task. A few extra ones tossed in along the way. We went from 9am til 3pm and then headed over to the Mega. All caches were good fun and we had a lovely day. Tftc

24-Oct-15
Popped out this morning to grab one that was missed yesterday, I would have got the other puzzle to, but turns out a workers ute was parked next to it so moved on there.

Anyway not to had to locate this one and soon had my name on the log and onto another nearby.

I've DNFed this once before - absolutely no idea how I managed to do that!! It's so obvious now that I see where it is!!

Came out here before it got dark - given I had DNFed this in the dark before. A bit ill still, and so I didn't want to find anything too strenuous.

Ended up being super easy and quick find!! Woo hoo!! Smile

Getting close to that 1000!!

Consec caching day #993

TFTC!! Smile

A chilly day out with Karma Reprint, finding the little boxes. Nice wee puzzle and glad I didn't need by gummies, she's mighty frosty out here. Cheers

16-May-15
Out and about with Pagenz on a caching weekend. Early start this morning and this cache was found at 6.09 am as part of a challenge cache we are trying to complete. No trouble with the puzzle, the find or the cache. Many thanks for placement.

16-May-15
6.09am Still dark but hey, what else does one do when one is trying to complete a challenge set by another crazy cacher. t4tc

30-Apr-15
#45 of 45 finds today. I managed all the "Horses" series I had solved (11 of the 13 published so far), a couple of nearby trads, and cleaned up the remaining "Lolly Scramble" series. A long day, but a good time. I'm afraid the numbers will result in a bit of cut and paste logging, but I'll add what I can.
This made me smile... when I saw it where I'd already looked on arrival. That should be the lot now (unless I missed any "temporarily unavailable" caches). Fuel range was still reading ----km so from here it was nurse the car directly to Caltex Kaiapoi - I had AA fuel discounts saved so 50.06L of fuel cost me $0.57. Hooray!
TFTC Cool

16-Apr-15
It was easier to find when we had the technology sorted. In fact, it was in the first place we looked. Shame we didn't see it there so looked elsewhere - before we looked there again.
Thanks. That is the series smilied - unless more appear.

13-Apr-15
We didn’t ever look for the original so were keen to get the replacement. The trees in the area were all recently trimmed and the access hence difficult. Seeing the recent found log Mrs Sobad did persevere but found nothing of interest – to a cacher.

13-Apr-15
It helps to find a puzzle cache if you have the corrected coordinates. It was later in the morning we did realise we had issues with the data base.

05-Apr-15
Had this one sussed ages ago so time to stop and sign the log. Cool

04-Apr-15
Worked this one out when it first came out- then lost the answer. Did it again recently- and took the opportunity to grab it today on my way home from Christchurch. tftc and the puzzle

22-Mar-15
Glad to have this one off the list as did the others a while back. Very happy to see some new ones out. Thanks for the challenge.
