Logs
We continued today our tour of several AUS states in the NorthWest and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to cruzeycoop for the generation of this nice cache The Dusty Pig (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. I had the right idea at first but the description and my phone GPS got me off. I think it murphed into something else than the original was. TFTC
Never saw any pigs...but my vehicle was a dusty pig after driving in here...wait a minute, it was a dusty pig anyway.Cheers
Travelling with RoddyC, snickersallan and grannysmith1947 as Team4Qld.Day 3 in the Mount Isa area to complete some challenges and get some more smiles and caching with TBUs.Our plan today was to get the Burke LGA, but a phone check found there was no fuel to get back to Isa. Hence a few more caches in this LGA.TFTCache cruzeycoop
We were staying for couple of days in Mount Isa to get as many caches as possible - quite successful so far.The log was signed after we left the QOGM in Longreach.Tftc cruzeycoop
TFTC smile 17038 out and about on a lovely day signed and replaced as Team Q4 Snickersallan Hatzofff RoddyC and TBU Thank you cruzeycoop for placing this cache for our enjoyment
My final day of caching and sightseeing in Mount Isa with RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 (Logs signed as Team4QLD) and joined by Team TBU.Very early start to the day, and after our trip to the lake, it was time for some tree fishing, then random caches on our to-do list in and around town.Apologies for the generic logs, but I very much enjoyed all the caches found. They were in good condition and a credit to the several cache owners who placed them and maintained them for our benefit and enjoyment THANK YOU
For our busy final day around Mount Isa (RoddyC, hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan), we continue to sign as Team Q4. Most of the day we aew with Yeam TBU as well Today we journey to the other lake and back after some really early tree fishing, then some clean up of multicaches and trads before dining with the locals to day thank you.Found on our non-"trip to Gregory".Log signed and cache replaced as found on September 28, 2023. TFTC, cruzeycoop
Found the cache with TBU1Bikesu - and with Team Q4 which added extra fun. Some caches were easy to get to, some needed bigger efforts, some were quickly found, some took longer .... It was a fun day out. Thanks to all cache owners who put out these caches for our enjoyment.
Day 20With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. We are really enjoying our stay here in Mount Isa, lots of caches, lovely sunsets, unique landscape and the spring wildflowers are amazingly different to ours in Victoria.Another day of caching with the object of getting 15 more finds to help qualify for the local challenge cache.Just heading out on the Barkley Hwy, purely to keep cool in the air conditioned car.Made the quick detour off the HWY to seek out the dusty pig. Thanks cruzeycoop for the placement.
Just a short drive off the main road and a quick walk around, and the smile was ours. The cache is in great shape. We were glad we made the effort. Tftc ??
Apologies for the late log here (25.12.23) but I've had a mad time since getting back to the UK.I was listening to a podcast while looking for this, and remember laughing at a joke as I found it. Which was nice. Another wild spot on a trip of wild spots.TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
Found at 12:08:00 PM(t) GAFF3 - not that the hint made much sense when we found the cache!
We were so pleased that we could drive our van just about right up to GZ - and be able to turn around as well!
We searched and searched at GZ and then widened our search to finally locate the rather large container that was sitting there right in front of our faces!
Seems that the cache has experienced some cache creep!
Thanks cruzeycoop.

We camped last night at Camooweal mainly to do the earth cache at the caves rive by and leave any other caches around. and any that we found as we made our way to Mount Isa.
The GPS was playing tricks on us here and had us searching in the wrong location before slowly changing it's mind and pointing us to the right location.
Once we headed there Diane spotted the cache quickly and made use of a natural TOTT saw us adding our name to the log before returning everything as it was.
The cache name still has us a little confused.

TFTC - Found With Team Mango But Was A Massive Spider On The Cache So We Didn't Touch It!
Out for an afternoon of caching with WillPunkey. Easy find but it was a few metres off from GPS
Day 245 - Well today the reason for coming to Mt Isa was to visit a cache in the Northern Territory as there was one some 212 Ks from Mt Isa a day trip was planed and along the way we collected a few caches it was a nice day for travelling this distance and after making the fuel gauge read full before taking off we were on our way. This day saw us find 12 caches and 2 DNFs for the day it was a long day with the stops but a very interesting day all the same.
Arriving at GZ we made our way to the cache location and soon had the cache in hand and the log was extracted and signed again we were on our way to our last cache for the day.
Thanks cruzeycoop for this place to stop and cache.

After spending a great 5 weeks going up north then west, it was time to head east then south to get home.
I had planned to do this area 2 years ago but a blown motor put a stop to that between Three Ways and Mt Isa.
Nice to get off the main road to search for a cache with no muggle eyes on you.
Retrieval was straight forward with what I had.
Thanks Cruzeycoop TFTC.

Heading into Mt Isa today after the Red Centre experience and this was one of the caches we found. Spent last night at a very nice camp spot at a lagoon near Camooweal for anyone heading that way and needing somewhere to stay. Thanks to cruzeycoop for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Heading back down the track and towards home with fitzy_1965, LuckyL10n and albida and we are heading towards Mt Isa before the long trek towards home. We grabbed a few caches along the Barkly highway today and had no problems finding any of the 18 we tried.
Thanks to all the caches owners and for the caches and the fun in grabbing them.

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Missed the last few on this drive so made sure I slowed down before getting to the turnoff for this cache. Found it and signed log. TFTC!
Found at 1009. Found quickly but the tool I had was a fit flexible which didn't help me to grab the cache, after some effort I managed it.. TFTC.
Drove in here off the road and located the cache MMMM. Now to get it down ? Easy with the hint ! .

Easy to spot. No tool needed; I climbed. Needs a higher terrain, whether a tool or climbing is utilised. TFTC cruzeycoop.
While staying at Mount Isa we tackled a few new caches that have been published since our last visit and this was one of them. Together with FelixII we made our way back from the Paroo Water Hole to pick this one up. An easy find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
